I was craving mixed plate lunch and this spot was walking distance to where I was. Location: It's located in a plaza where it's easy to find parkings. It's right next to Curry House Coco Ichibanya. You will be able to dine in w/ blasting AC (really appreciate the blasting AC in hot weather). Food: I ordered the BBQ mixed plate (bbq short rib, bbq chicken, and Teri beef). The Teri beef was thin and chewy. The short rib was thin, it's not juicy at all. BBQ chicken was a much bigger piece but a bit salty. The rice was really soft, soggy, and sticky. The Mac salad was pretty good. The pricing was on the lower end but I guess you pay for what you get. Service: the gentleman was really nice and friendly. I ordered the mini beef stew & was so disappointed with it. It was so bad i couldn't eat it. It was so sweet - like they put double the sugar with no salt.... i even added salt, pepper and tobassco to help it but it was still too sweet for human consumption and the meat was sooooo dry and gross. It comes with a lot of rice and a huge scoop of macaroni salad. The problems were the rice was crunchy, but my husband's one was not. The curry meat are big chunks and they were lean, but not tender. The hamburger was savory, maybe a little on the salty side and there's definitely fillers in the hamburger because it was very Easy to chew.. I know I won't get the curry again. The barbecue meat that was good . all in all probably a good value if you want a quick mediocre meal. I rarely post negative reviews of small local businesses, but I feel the need to share my experience so that others will be aware when they come here. I called in a take out order for a regular mixed bbq plate, regular cold ginger chicken, and wagyu burger with no mayo. When I got back to the office, I discovered they had given me a mini cold ginger chicken (they charged me for a regular not mini), and the wagyu burger had mayo in it. I sent OMG a direct message on Instagram, to inform them of the mishaps, and they responded saying I could come back to get a refund. Being that I was already back at the office and unable to leave work, I asked if I could return a couple of days later to get my refund. SILENCE. Mistakes happen, I get that (although they did get 2 out of the 3 items in my order wrong). But to not accommodate a customer's request to return a few days later to get a refund, to me is not cool. Furthermore, the meat in the bbq chicken plate was rubbery. I will say though, that the wagyu burger was excellent tasting, despite the unwanted mayo and sloppy presentation. Sorry to say but I do not recommend this business and if you do give them a chance, be sure to check your order before you leave the restaurant. read more

All the shrimps still had their shells on and were not deveined--and it was $27.25. I ordered what I usually get: the BBQ Mixed Plate. The short ribs were over-cooked; it felt like I was fighting to get dry beef jerky off the bones. The Teri Beef was okay. The BBQ chicken used to be crispy, but this was almost decent. Our first meal in Hawaii! We arrived late at HNL and got to our hotel by 11. The chicken strips were PERFECTLY crispy, yet the meat was tender. It was so tasty when dipped in the sauce - whatever kind of sauce that was. I was also relieved the rice was neither dry nor mushy. It includes a macaroni salad, but I don't remember it. I know I had it, but I don't think I had any complaints. The portion was so big that the four of us shared the dish. I also ordered the BBQ Mixed Plate not knowing the Chicken Katsu could feed four people. It has BBQ chicken, BBQ short rib, and Teri beef. So my husband really wanted to come here after PT so we gave it a try. The BBQ mix was ok compared to L and Al's mix combo BBQ. We gave it another chance because he wanted to try their hamburger steak and that was mo' ono so we took it home and "wolfed up" our three plate lunches. Maybe I'll check out their other menu items. Parking is in the McCully shopping center and can be REALLY tight since it's already crowded with other food establishments and stores. Otherwise it's at a good location so check it out. Hamburger is pretty tender and good sized patty not thin like the golden arch places. Katsu plate is worth it, good amount of katsu 2 scoop rice and Mac. Overall for the price it ain't bad. I don't really get the other items so can't tell you on those. Today a little sad they forgot my katsu sauce. Well after dropping off my car for service and walked a few miles around the neighborhood I deserve a bite and this is the place. A simple breakfast sandwich was exactly it and I decided on the Spam and egg...didn't exactly got the friendliest greeting as if I interrupted her flow but got my order in and for $5.23 and really fast I got my spam and egg hot and fresh, bread was barely toasted and it was smeared with some mayo. Food was decent no not worth what I paid, service was flatly basic absolutely no personality didn't get a thank you when I paid even when I got my food I was the one that initiated the thank yous. Oh, my. I shouldn't have ordered from here. But I was hungry and in a hurry and didn't read the Yelp reviews. I ordered the BBQ mix plate (kalbi, teri beef, and BBQ chicken) and teri pork plate. Three misses and one hit. Got off to a good start with the BBQ mix plate. There was one kalbi, one slice of teri beef, two pieces of BBQ chicken, and seemingly pounds of rice and mac salad, neither of which I eat these days. I ate the kalbi first. It was the one hit, juicy and taste. But the teri beef, BBQ chicken, and teri pork all suffered from the same problem - they were overcooked, and thus on the dry side, with weak, diluted flavors. Parts of the very thin teri beef slice and the chicken were burnt, and tasted like it. The mac salad looked as though it came out of a plastic container. I took one taste, and yes, it was mass-produced blah mac salad. Anyone of us could get a tub of this from a grocery store. No option to have all toss salad; in fact, no toss salad anywhere on the menu. I should have specified no rice or mac salad in the notes. At least I got a little discount on the order from the delivery company via a promo. . . .the food was ready quickly, but maybe that's the problem. Maybe they're pre-grilling the meat and then reheating it for delivery. Or maybe the cooks are inattentive or don't know how to test doneness. But I won't order from here again. read more

Looking for a last minute place to get a snack and found this place. Very clean and modern look. Large menu selection to chose from. My friend got a mini loco moco - hamburger patty was homemade kine and not salty, brown gravy was just right, rice and mac salad was just right. In her words, the meal was "kanack-attackable" . Very catchy restaurant name but... we started off on a very bad foot. They ran a restaurant ad for a dim sum platter and I called in for take out, the person who answered didn't take my name or phone number which was weird. Lo and behold... they don't serve dim sum at McCully. They did leave a message on the phone I called from that "sorry we don't have dim sum" and that's not a helpful message. Had to look at the ad another time and listed the Pearl City location but also both locations in another area, look at the ad and you will see why. Need to make it clear "Pearl City only". Anyways, after getting the explanation after I arrived, decided to try their cold ginger chicken and curry chicken katsu plates for $11.99. Both were mediocre at best. Cold ginger chicken had large chunks of ginger, what happened to the knife skills to dice it up to minced like sizes? Not much of a strong flavor or green onions, pretty much like oil with some ginger. The pieces of chicken were overcooked and too tough. Granted, this is a hard dish to make, suggest not to put on menu if it can't be done right, yes this is quite harsh but gotta keep it real. The curry chicken katsu was a little better, but inconsistent. Some pieces were very meaty, but also had thin pieces where all you could eat was the breading. All they provided for the curry was a very small pudding sized container, I ran out halfway eating. For the good part, at least the portions were generous. I hope the restaurant would read this review to improve and hopefully may return one day... just not at it's current state as the dishes we ordered gave a bad first impression. read more

Visited Oh My Grill tonight (Saturday 5/4/24). Was yearning for a couple of their onolicious plate lunches for dinner. Looking through the glass windows, it appeared like everything (chairs and tables) were gone. The place was all dark. Unfortunately, to my dismay, found out that this eatery is closed down. Called the business later and found out from the owner that it had been shut down for the past four months due to a fire in the kitchen area. Was told that it is currently under renovation and that it could likely reopen in three months. Hopefully, this remains to be true and that this establishment advertises a re-grand opening in the future. Auwe! Now I have to search somewhere else closeby to eat. read more

Well I had a bad experience at oh my grill today . I made a phone order and the guy who took my order got the order correct but for some reason the kitchen didn't get it right . I ordered bbq chicken with no skin and a side OE egg on my rice . Well for some reason the OE egg was just egg white and must I add that the egg was $2.50 for one egg . People order OE egg because they want the yolk . And guess what else , my chicken had skin on it . I told the lady I ordered chicken with no skin like the receipt said . The lady said , yes the chicken has skin on it .. lol. I said I ordered NO SKIN . She said ok give me the chicken I'll take off the skin . Well at that point , i wasn't gonna say anything else because they were gonna fix the problem . The reason why i wrote this review is because the Micronesian lady there decided to act up because They made the mistake .. She throws the plate at me and says , HERES YOUR PLATE WITH NO SKIN !! First of all , hospitality is #1 in ANY business !! Do you know what hospitality is ? You don't throw food at anyone , especially in food service and ESPECIALLY when you screwed up on the order !! How do I know ? I've managed restaurants of huge corporations, in fact I currently manage a restaurant now of a very big corporation... With restaurants worldwide and international. If I was the owner of OMG , sorry but you would either be suspended or fired ! I eat at or order food at least 3-4 times a week from omg .. But this experience may change things . "My oh my- Oh My Grill" They have several locations on Oahu, the one we normally patronize is the one located at McCully Shopping Center near Ala Moana Center. Lots of parking, they are located next to 7-11 on the ground level. They serve different types of plate lunch fare and also breakfast plates. The one offering we have zeroed in on during this pandemic has been their steak and eggs breakfast plate. You get two scoops rice, a nice cut of New York steak and two eggs (any way you want it) and a free cup of coffee or tea. The special price? $7.99! This is a good deal for breakfast carnivores when bacon just won't do. Latest Facebook post seems to indicate this breakfast special might be from 9-11am each day but you might check the location that you plan to go to for their specials. Will have to check their other offerings but this has been our go-to place for steak and eggs. Clean operation, great prices and friendly staff makes this place to consider when the munchies hit you and you happen to be close by to one of their locations. No can go wrong :). read more

This Oh My Grill is horrible. The employee was rude and expected a tip. Asked for a tip when he was being rude and unprofessional. We ordered Chicken Katsu Curry and he brought just Chicken Katsu. When we corrected him and said we ordered Chicken Katsu Curry he brought brown gravy. Then he realized that he brought brown gravy he came back with the curry in a container and grabbed the gravy and was going to give the gravy to another table.
