We ordered the Bolo on white which came out to about $30+ for the whole sub. Sounds expensive but we - 3 of us - ate a little more than half of the sub and we all got full. Saved the other half for the next day and got two meals out...

of it. Located at the Pearl Kai complex, across from Pearlridge and they're open everyday. I also know they have another location in Wahiawa but they have slightly different business hours. We ordered online and the food was ready fairly quickly. We were greeted by two people who I wish I had gotten their names because they were super helpful and friendly...excellent customer service! The space is nice with their decor and is kept clean. Definitely going back to try their other sandwiches! If you're in the area do try them out. They do have reasonable prices

As I'm sitting in the shop waiting for five sandwiches to be made I decided it's time to update my review. I come here more often than my visits indicate because I absolutely luv the place. First the sandwiches are awesome! One of those 'have it your way' places with the freshest white or wheat bread and they put other sandwich shops to shame when it comes to prices and size. When everyone was raising their prices 20-25% and more this shop increased a measly 10% and didn't resort to shrinkflation in addition to the price increase as so many others did. I like that I can get a salad with the same meats, cheese, veggie toppings for the same price as the sandwich....$10.95 in most cases, where can you get a fresh salad that cheap? I'm a huge fan of the Açaí bowls too....big bang for the buck! Parking in the Pearl Kai shopping center. Can go on line but I'm not a fan of that.

Deciding what to eat for dinner and knew I wanted a sandwich. I could either go to Subway or try somewhere new and opted for Ohana Sub in Aiea. I normally get a steak & cheese at Subway so I just got it here. Steak & cheese with mayo and ranch. Portions are humongous for a whole sub ($25). The bread is super soft and delicious! Sadly that was the only thing I liked about the sub was just the bread. The "steak" or beef whatever you wanna call it, is not good meat at all, lowkey tasted like liver. Green onions were cut so thick. Wished it was cut in thinner slices so it's easier and tastier to eat. The quality wasn't all there. Maybe I got the wrong sub, probably could've tried something popular but my favorite type of sub has always been a steak & cheese but now I know that Subway is just better. This place is only good for the portions and soft tasty bread.

Decisions, decisions I love coming to this place. It's a small hidden gem in the Pearl Kai mall. It's easy to miss since, it's not in a great location and parking is tough in the area. It just seems that the stalls are smaller then normal no that's not it, this part of town more trucks are reconstructed:| There are two sizes of sandwiches half and whole. The whole is definitely longer than a subway Footlong, way more tastier, and overall cheaper. Then only problem you'll have is what to get. Everything I've gotten I have enjoyed. The crazy part is that I probably enjoy the bread more than the stuffing. It is firm enough to hold everything together and soft enough to not exercise your jaw. FYI, my favorite is the Koko Head with extra oregano. The only thing missing here is soup. Overall five stars. The food is great, the people working there are great. M

Unfortunately, I would not recommend Ohana Sub Aiea. The quality seems to have fallen and there's nothing special about this place. Before, they were kinda "up there" in the sandwich game. But, now? I think not. It was really just a simple cold cut with little portion and variety of vegetables. The flavor was also lacking tremendously in the sandwich I ordered. I also didn't appreciate the crumbs of bacon - I had no "strip" whatsoever. Boo.

Been hearing great thing about this place on IG, and from my waxer. Was told it was like Stortos. Well.. it's almost like Stortos. Bread is not quite as soft. But since I can't drive to Hale'iwa all the time and try to avoid town at all costs, this is the next best thing. And they are waaay more affordable than Stortos. And the meats and combos taste just as great. I can't say no to a Rueben. My only recommendation is they make it on Rye Bread as it should be. The staff is friendly and quick making a quick lunch date across from work possible with my hubs. I only get an hour at best so this was awesome.

Extremely disappointed I was served brown lettuce for $17.00 for a tuna sandwich. So disheartening. Only reason I'm giving it a two stars is because the bread was actually soft.

It was a nice change from subway. The bread was soft and the flavors were good. They give you plenty too! We had a fully loaded sub named "the cousin" (pepperoni, salami and ham) we got the whole! It can feed 3 but we 2 were able to really grind! Service was polite and fast! I like the ambiance enough. It was clean. Tables are small but ok for two. Check it out when you're in the area.

They were out of pepperoni, salami and pastrami the day we went which was kinda depressing because almost every sandwich had those ingredients and the sandwich we originally wanted had those ingredients. I settled for the turkey + which was good and I forget what my husband ordered and he added on bacon for the ingredient they didn't have. I wish they had put a sign up on the door or even in the menu. We might have gone somewhere else to eat knowing that they were out of so many ingredients.

I am beyond disgusted and upset. I paid $26 plus tip for a sandwich for my daughter, and it was hands down the nastiest sub we've ever had. The first red flag was hearing the microwave open and close repeatedly. Then the employee actually told me our order was "still in the microwave"the meat, onions, and cheese were all being microwaved. There was no freshness at all, the cheese wasn't even melted, and there was paper mixed into the sandwich. The final straw was finding hair in the food, which made my daughter vomit shortly after eating it. This wasn't just bad food it felt careless and unsanitary. Even Subway prepares their sandwiches fresh, in front of you, on a clean counter. This experience was unacceptable, especially at that price point. I will never return.

Stopped by for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Not too busy and there was only 3 people working. Really small shop across from Aloha Affordable vet. There were a lot of options but only one choice of bread. The half sub was huge and the price is the same for them all. I got the aunty with jalepeno cheese and mustard. My boyfriend had the italiano with Italian dressing and Monterey Jack cheese. Our only complaint is that there was hardly any meat. It wasn't a bad sub, the bread was nice and soft and it tasted good but for the bread to topping ratio, it's just not worth the price to me. Glad we tried it and it was a filling lunch.

Ordered online for pick up. They apparently didn't see the order until person was there to pick up. Thankfully sandwiches were made quickly. I ordered a Reuben sandwich unfortunately there was NO sauerkraut in it. Other than that it tasted fine bread is good.

Disappointed in how the sandwiches looked definitely can't compare to stortos. But the lack of veggies was pretty bad. The sandwich was super flat and it just seemed like it was just bread and sandwich meat. Was flat. Asked for papaya dressing but didn't taste it in the sandwich at all. read more

Came here a few months back for a sandwich and instead had the owners daughter hit on my girlfriend multiple times in front of me. I was surprised as the woman and man running the place, I assume the mom and dad, were very polite but the younger worker tried touching my girls hair when dropping off food and said some corny pick up lines multiple times making it extremely awkward. All we wanted to do was eat and instead this worker was getting weird and inappropriate. Overall, food 7/10 and customer service /10. read more

My son told me to try this place since I usually go to a different sandwich place. Came in and it's very welcoming, workers knew it was our first time so she explained everything to us ( half sub, whole sub, sub into a salad, spinach wrap) she never rushed us. For 4 whole sandwiches it cost maybe $80 which is cheap because it fed 6 of us for 2 days. Will come again to try another sub. - It's in Pearl Kai center near the veterinary clinic, parking was a little hard but we found one. - The papaya seed dressing is so good, wish I bought a bottle. - The sub is HUGE!! read more

Service was really bad today. There was 6 people waiting for sandwiches not including the one's that were waiting in line. There was 1 guy in the back and 2 women on the register and no one making sandwiches. Everyone was waiting patiently i could see the frustration setting in with everyone including I. I work in food service and ran a kitchen for years, so i know how it is. But shouldn't 1 person be making sandwiches and the other person running the register if it's busy? After 15-20mins without anything I had to leave. Won't be going there for a while. Just an fyi I don't ever give bad reviews. read more

First time visit and gotta say we will be back. From the staff welcome to the delicious subs you can't miss. Centrally located and plenty of parking makes an easy visit to Pearl Kai Shopping Center. Many menu choices but we had the Turkey, Italian, and Teri-chicken and we all enjoyed. All the toppings you need and you can customize as you want. You can choose between the breads from wheat slices to their signature roll. But if those are heavy you can get a wrap. Very friendly staff and you can order ahead. read more

Been here a few times already and ordered the Zipline. Love how their bread and Vegs are so fresh. Being next door to where my son been getting his haircut since he was child is convenient so I can eat inside while waiting for him. Definitely our new sandwich place to go to especially being in the neighborhood. Order the biggest size, bring em home, slice em and well enough to feed a family of four. read more

Good sandwich! I had the Hula. Very good size for the price! Soft bread. Perfect portion on condiments. Friendly staff. I liked it when I heard the sandwich maker ask the cashier who cut the onions. She thought they forgot to take out the middles. That shows that they take pride into their ingredients. Definitely will go back again. read more

Two weeks ago our bought our lunch online order they ran out of provolone cheese for subs instead of contacting us and a different cheese they just wrote on the sandwich wrapper. Furthermore the pastrami was really bad since we ordered last time. It will be awhile if we go back. read more

We came here hungry and looking for a good sandwich and they did not disappoint. My husband ordered a full sized sub (16") and it was loaded with meat, cheese, and veggies. They have a ton of options for subs and you can customize things any way you want. For the kids, they also do 1/4 sized subs, which was perfect. And of note, the bread was delicious, soft, perfect sub rolls. Definitely give it a try for a quick and tasty sandwich. read more

A new sub place that's not Subway?! Yes, please! Ohana Sun has been opened for a little while already, and so far, our family frequents this restaurant when we want a Stortos-like sub without the drive to the North Shore. Hubby and little girl are vegetarians, so they are very happy with their cheese and veggie only sandwich. Little guy and I share a Hula, and no piece of bread, meat, or cheese is left uneaten!! The Ohana Sun prices are also a little cheaper than Storto's, and my kids fight over who gets the last of the dressing (we usually order it on the side). read more

Aiea was in desperate need of a good sandwich shop so I was ecstatic to find Ohana Sub. If you like Storto's and their pink butcher paper, then you'll enjoy Ohana Sub. I come here at least twice a month and order my go-to: the Wahiawa. Only ~$10 for a half sub, which can last me at least three separate meals. ~$20 for the full sub that, in my opinion, can feed up to four people. The owners are usually working the counter and have always been respectful each time I've gone. The sandwich gods have answered my prayers and graced me with a bomb sandwich place that isn't located in town or North Shore. read more

Without a doubt, the best sub on the island. Quite possibly the best sub I've *ever* had. I ordered the Tradewinds and the Hula subs. First of all, they were HUGE. Nearly double the size of a subway footlong (and quadruple the flavor). Perfect bread to meat ratio, super soft/fresh bread, delicious meats, and that papaya dressing... *chefs kiss*. The customer service is outstanding too. I cannot recommend this place enough. I'm already planning our next order! read more

After that aiea sub place that closed in aiea where the times is I was bummed. I didn't like driving out to downtown to stortos or aloha subs. I'm glad they opened up this place. It's convenient and the owner is super nice. The prices are reasonable and this definitely beats subway. My new sandwich spot read more

By far THE BEST sub ever! I visit both locations on a weekly basis. Love it with all the veggies, mayo and papaya seed dressing! I always order the Tradewinds or the Zipline and never get tired of it. The ratio of bread, meat, veggies and dressings are perfect! Staff are friendly and service is great. Very clean store with extremely nice owners. The sandwiches were amazing, the bread is the owners own recipe, it was soft, fresh and bought the whole sandwich together. Forget subway, forget all the other sandwich shops, these sandwiches come huge, loaded and exactly how every sandwich should be. We definitely will be back. read more

The photo shows an açaí bowl but there is no such thing on the Aiea sites menu. What's that about?

They are an older couple and probably don't keep the menu up to date, but trust me, they have the acai bowl which I love. You can call in your order if you wanna make an order for the acai bowl.

It's made fresh daily so you know it's quality. Overall, it was a pretty good sandwich but nothing special. Maybe we have to try a different sandwich with different meats next time!

The rest of the days they have kalua pig burrito, nachos, and the $6/lb food bar Friday. It looked huge and inviting. The burger itself tasted good as it was cooked with bread mixed in it to make it soft but once you started eating it, the burger fell apart. The bun was thin so it was messy as the sauce and burger started falling out and you needed a lot of napkins. Some people like it messy but it's not my thing. The onions and pickles were a perfect match. It definitely had the look and right toppings but the patty was a little disappointing. After my first two bites the patties crumbled into pieces and the texture seemed off. It was too mushy and lacked good beef flavor. After learning they mix breadcrumbs in their burger patty, I think the patties I got were not mixed well and the ratio of beef and breadcrumb was off. That is probably why the texture was off, it lacked beef flavor, and crumbled. The fried pickles were the highlight for me. I love fried pickles and they worked really well on the burger. They also didn't hold back on the caramelized onions, which added flavor. I would've liked a little more salt, but I know that comes down to preference. Bun was nothing special, just your standard setup, but it got the job done. It started falling apart halfway through, but that's a compliment in my book. Nothing fancy, just an honest burger executed right. This is the kind of burger that keeps you coming back. We ordered that to share, and each had the sweet bread French toast. The Prime Rib Loco Moco was awesome. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the gravy had just the right flavor to put everything together with the egg and fried rice. The French toast was the perfect sweet compliment to the savory loco moco dish. Service was fantastic, we were constantly attended to and everyone was very friendly. We really enjoyed our meal and will be coming back soon!

"Brah... the Bolo Sub is straight-up ono!" No lie -- this thing's got all the meats. Like, if the deli counter threw a party and invited everyone, the Bolo showed up hungry.
