The 25th Street taco was nice, the chicken tinga taco and the shrimp taco were also nice. They also have horchata, and I am here for it. Not the best tacos but decent tacos. Stopped by OCB for lunch recently and ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice, black beans, sauteed peppers and onions, salsa, lettuce, and sour cream. I beat the lunch rush, so I didn't have to wait in line. My bowl was made immediately and with a bottle of water, cost $10. That's not a great price, and it's higher than Heinen's ($7.99) and Chipotle ($6.99), and the same as Rebol $9. The quality was very good and the food was fresh. I didn't knock my socks off though and I think the bowls could've been a little bigger. I'd definitely eat here again, but with Heinen's bowls being bigger, having more variety, and cheaper, I gotta keep going there. read more

I had been wanting to try the fish burrito here for awhile. They only have it on Fridays. Finally I remembered on the correct day. One thing I love about this place is that you can add a lot of toppings to your burrito and there aren't the usual up charges. The burrito itself is a nice size. A little too much tortilla for me, but I just removed the overage. The fish is very well seasoned and cooked to the appropriate temperature. I just wish there was more of it. It's possible it was the placement that made it seem a little scarce. Overall it was delicious enough to give it another try. read more

Ohio City Burrito did not disappoint! I came here with a friend for lunch. We both had never been here and were looking forward to trying it. She got a burrito with the chicken tinga and all of the other fixings. I got the tacos Mexicanos with chicken instead of the barbacoa. We both got the agua Fresca to drink, which was pretty sweet but tasty! My tacos, while tasty, only came with some onions and cilantro. Cute Mexican place in Ohio City. It's similar to a Chipotle in the sense that you can create your own bowl/burrito, but you get the benefits of it being local - fresher and more authentic. Even with the pandemic lurking throughout the city, they were able to get me my food quickly while I was still working. The food is excellent. The meat is always tender and the spices are on point. My one wish is that they had a truly spicy option. Although there is some heat, I want something that will make me regret ordering it for lunch on a workday. The staff is always friendly, my orders are always correct, and the two locations means you can get their food just about anywhere in the city. If your still eating at that other competitors on Euclid Ave you don't know what your missing ! My favorite is the shredded chicken on the tacos de Mexicanos. Their corn salsa and pick great . The only qualm their evening hours they let the meat sit too long it drys out and you can clearly see it. This place always hits the spot. I actually like it much better than chipotle because the meats are actually seasoned and the habanero salsa is actually spicy. It also doesn't hurt that guacamole is free. My favorite is the Barbacoa burrito with black beans and I get both pick de Gallo and the habanero salsa. I would not recommend the fish tacos (which are served on fridays). It is overly breaded and just doesn't taste fresh. Don't forget to get a punch card! read more

My only complaint is that the rice and beans were cold, like just came out of the fridge cold.I assumed this would be a warm dish. I was recently at a party and it was catered by Ohio City Burrito. This was my first time having their food, and WOW! It's good! I am not usually a big beef eater, but that Barbacoa rocked! The chicken was pretty delicious too and I especially like that the meat was shredded, not chunks. The toppings were all great, the corn salsa stood out as it was slightly charred and the flavor was amazing. The only thing I wish is that the veggie topping (peppers and onions) were cooked a little more. They were almost raw and I really enjoy if they have some caramelization. All in all, pick this food for your next party. I spoke with the people who hosted the party and they said that Ohio City Burrito was easy and flexible to work with. My first visit to OCB, I work within walking distance of the downtown location, and have passed by numerous times. My co-workers and I journeyed there on a Friday afternoon, just prior to the lunch rush. The restaurant is much smaller inside, than I thought, so glad that we arrived early, in order to grab a table for 4. I ordered the traditional burrito in a bowl. I received a warm tortilla topped with a mix of brown/white rice, carnitas, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, salsa and black beans. The portions were generous and reasonably priced at $7.99. Each of my co-workers, ordered similar dishes. Once seated we proceeded to dig in. My bowl was pretty tasty, not quite as flavorable, as I would have liked, seemed liked it was missing just a little something, not quite sure it what. I finished by bowl and left full and satisfied. In addition, OCB partners with Campbell's Popcorn, 2 doors down. If you present your receipt from OCB to Campbells (and vice versa), you receive a $1 off. On a side note, I had no idea, that Macho Taco in Painesville is under same ownership. My family LOVES Macho Taco. I have ate there as well as my whole household 2 - 3 times a week for about 6 years now. We give them aprox. $100 per week. I have always ate it with the top covered with the hot habanero sauce. Well, about a month ago the GM at the Ohio City location quoted " If you get it hot...we have to charge you for a side... 85 cents " My response was , ok instead of leaving my normal $2 tip, ok , I will pay. Now keep in mind, I don't take the free choice of beans or Guac or fajita peppers and onions. None! Well that run of my family spending $400 per month eating there ended last Saturday when the girl running the register advised me that the Owners told her to Charge me for a large side of the sauce as if I buy chips n Salsa. $3.75...I always tell them cover the top like you are eating spagetti, That's how I like it. Again They save on the beans , guac and fajita that I don't get. After my $8 bowl was rung up at $13.75 I told them keep it and you just lost a customer and walked out. Very bad business on the owners part. I never in the 61 years of my life heard of paying for hot sauce or salsa on a burrito bowl. If the owners are that petty. You lost at least $4000 in business every year from us. We ate at the nationally famous chain that day and it was smothered in hot and no extra charge! I actually enjoyed it more than OCB . Whoever is training the employees on burrito wrapping should be fired. Every single time I get a burrito here it's falling apart and a complete mess. Never had this problem at chipotle. Just had to eat my burrito like a salad. Employee serving me also took about 10 minutes start to finish and I was the only person in line. When I asked for pico de gallo she looked at me like I was crazy. When I pointed to it she responded "oh dems is called tomatoes hahahaha." Oh, ok.
