Food: 3-4 stars. Pretty good in the past when it came. Service: 1 star (normally 3 stars). They were busy on a Wednesday night with a big party in the room and several other small tables. There was a young lady working and an old man (I think the owner). We were seated pretty quickly maybe a minute wait to get a booth. However, after waiting about 10 minutes, I flagged down the older waiter/owner and he went to help a couple who was seated before us but did not wave (showing they were ready to place their order). Then he never came to our table and she never ever came back after initially seating us. Very disappointed. We were hungry but they definitely needed more than 2 employees managing the front. Atmosphere: There were at least 3 tables that needed to have bowls/plates etc cleared and cleaned. They were so understaffed, the food that normally tastes pretty good could not save the disappointing visit. A good amount of time was wasted and all we got for about 15 minutes was water and the paper menu. Guess we'll just have to keep going back to the Korean restaurant near Costco. read more

Service was superb, the owner was personally helping us throughout our meal and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed - replacing sides, refilling water, you name it! Flavor of all the food was great as well. Many of us got tofu soups and not one of us was dissatisfied with what we ordered. They gave us eggs and sides, which were also fresh - which is not something I've come to expect from most places these days. Some people in our group got differing dishes like the bulgogi, and we got scallion pancakes for the table (unfortunately I got no pictures of these since we ate them so fast!) and all of the food was very rich in flavor. They did an excellent job accommodating our group of 13 people! I was surprised that they were ready to take on a party size so large, but like I said before they did a great job of tending to us. The price was actually better than I thought, especially since our group was large enough to incur the automatic gratuity. Pretty much everyone paid less than 20$ depending on what they got, and that was including tip for us. There was next to no one here - but we went on Super Bowl Sunday so take that with a grain of salt. Parking was a non-issue, since they share a large parking lot with other businesses. I don't know when their peak hours are but make sure to account for this if you decide going here! Overall would highly recommend going here for price, taste, and service! I used to come here all the time as a UCR student for some tofu soup. I recently had the chance to come back and visit and it's generally the same as I remembered! Prices did go up a little, and they now charge for the pancakes instead of it being complementary. Food wise, it's still good - although they stuff more tofu and less meat. They also removed the fried dumplings from their menu. Overall, still a great comfort food spot on a cold day. read more

So in love with this place! A heavenly hidden gem in Riverside. I love Korean food and this is by far one of my favorite Korean restaurants. If I could give OK Tofu House 100 stars.... I would. From the outside it doesn't look like anything special. The interior doesn't do much to change that opinion either, but don't let looks deceive you because the food is incredible. My favorite is the kimchi tofu soup with beef. It has all of my favorite things! Loaded with beef, tofu, vegetables, kimchi...it is a magical experience. The onion pancakes are out of this world. I had this place bookmarked for the longest time, but hadn't gone while I was actually living in Riverside. Finally got the chance to try this place out a couple weeks ago when I was visiting. They have a decent variety of sides, though I wish they had a couple things that I've seen at other restaurants. The dumpling tofu soup was great, and I love how the egg just cooks into the super hot bubbling soup. My soup was not quite as piping hot as my friend's, so the egg didn't cook as much, and I ended up just mixing it into my rice. The fish smelled fishy, but flavor was good. Overall, it was an enjoyable weekend treat that made me regret not coming here sooner. read more

Wanting to support a small business, we called in our order at 6:35 p.m. Our order: pork stew with potato, chapchae, pork tofu soup, and pork bulgogi. I didn't know what spice level to say for the pork tofu soup and said no spice because half the family can't handle spicy. The elderly gentleman let us know that it would be ready in 15 minutes. Our commute over from the university was short and quick and we arrived a little early so we waited in the car until it was time. The order was almost ready. They needed another 5 minutes. We had to return to the university to pick up another person from our carpool. We had put the food in insulated bags and the numerous side dishes in the cooler for the commute home to Orange County. When we got home, the food was still piping hot. We reheated some of the food for a few seconds. Dinner was served even though it was late. The pork tofu soup was bland. Next time, I will know to order it mild. The pork stew with potato was just the thing for the cool night. The potatoes were chunky. Chapchae is the older daughter's favorite dish from OK Tofu House. Although my favorite Korean tofu soup house is Young Dong in Chino Hills, it's not very close to Riverside. The quality of OK Tofu is very close to Young Dong's (except the Kimchi side dish of course). If I'm craving tofu soup and don't want to drive far, this will be my go-to place. The best in Riverside. Food is decent but the service is terrible. I'm Korean and have tried speaking Korean to the owner to at least show some kind of respect as is tradition in the Korean culture. My Korean might not be the best but I can order food and show courtesy just fine. Regardless, the owner (old Korean guy) is just rude and does not care to even check up on our table. When politely asking for side dishes there are no verbal responses from this douche and if he does answer it's short yes or no answers with an attitude. I've always tipped 20% or more just to help the business survive especially during Covid times but honestly I don't really care for this place anymore. It's too bad there isn't another tofu soup place around here but I'll drive my ass to Jin Han in Corona instead from now on. read more

The food here is always great. I love that the owner is there to greet us when we arrive. We ordered the Galbi- beef ribs. They were soft and very flavorful. We also had the spicy squid with the veggies- so good. And the tofu spicy soup- yummy as always. The only reason I did not give them the 5 stars is because there was no free pancake as there was before. Service is slow and the waitress is not attentive at all- unfortunately. so make sure you ask for everything you need when she brings the food- she will not be back. We will be back. Although the all you can eat Korean restaurants are very good, to our family, this is much better. Growing up in Korea town, this what we ate. The food here is really good for being out in riverside. I moved from garden grove so I'm really happy to find a spot close by. I really enjoyed their tofu soups. My husband loves the bigogi. Sometimes when I feel sick I would have my husband order the rib soup.
