Wow! This place has one of the worst service ever. I placed an order for pick up. They said 20mins and when I arrived, there was a long line out the door. I walked up to the front and they said that I would have to wait in line to pay for a phone order. I went up again to check on the status of the pizza and a worker said that they'll check on it but it'll be some time. Stood in line and waited and was told the pizza is ready but I still have to wait in line. I got fed up and made an annoucement to the people in line. I told everyone that I was here to pick up a phone order and that my pizza is currently sitting on the counter waiting for me to pay. I asked if anyone mind that I cut in line to pay before my pizza gets cold. No one objected and I was able to pay. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS? They clearly have no idea how to run logistics. Oh. The pizza was mediocre. If you're in the area for pizza, go to Blaze Pizza up the street. Better pizza. Better service. Faster turn around even if the line is out the door. Old time pizza: don't respond by saying you have a new management team. That line has been used at least twice in the last three months. read more

By far one of the worst places to eat. We order take out and it took about a hour for delivery. When the pizza delivery guy brought our pizza he never had change and also forgot our soda we paid for. He promised us he would be right back since we were just down the street. He never came back with our soda. When we finally started eating our pizza. After taking a few bites we find a piece of wood on our pizza. It blended in because it was black like the mushrooms. Luckily no one swallowed it but by far would not recommend it. read more

I ordered Old Town Pizza via UberEats and overall had a great experience. Order came slower that other restaurants I have ordered from on doordash but the food was worth the wait. The pizza is small (even though I ordered a medium) but has great flavor. I also ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and loved it! It was only $1 more to add chicken so overall it was a great value. Pizza was good but the cheesecake slice was very disappointing. For $3.29 a slice I expected a real deal slice off of an actual cheesecake, instead I got a jack n the box(which i I like) packaged slice but way over priced. The brownie was super good and surprisingly priced lower than the cheesecake lol the side of potato wedges tasted microwaved but for being $3 an order you can't expect too much. The boyfriend and I ventured here today for the first time, and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a medium pie (it's a New York thang..) with pepperoni and meatball. The crust was medium in thickness, very flavorful (not bland at all), and the cheese wasn't too salty... it was however a little chewy/rubbery. Pepperoni was perfect, even a little spicy. The meatball was... different. It was crumbled on top of the pizza, which made for very interesting texture-it got really crispy in some places, kind of like breadcrumb bunches ('that make any sense?) $10.50 for a medium pie, that aint bad. :) Friendly service as well. Their thin crust pizza is decent. Pizza comes medium crust, but if you want thin crust, you need to specifically state it. We had the "marghertia" .. basil is not topped fresh - it's baked into the pizza (I like it topped after, so..). Cheese is not fresh mozzarella - but the overall taste is good .. chewy crust and not very oily. Their other items -- pasta, meatballs, soup .. are all very wanting. The number of poor reviews Monrovia Pizza has received that mention the staff as a factor is unfortunate. The staff here isn't the best that may be true but as far as pizza joints go this is my go-to spot in Monrovia. The food is good. The pepperoni pizza, garlic bread with cheese and the meatball sandwich are a few of my favs in town. Delivery or dining in I have never once been disappointed. As for the girls working the register they need to cheer up or find a new job. Nobody likes being greeted and served by a bunch of grumpy people. The best pizza in town. My kids love this place. My mother loves the chicken pita salad..always fresh ingredients, best part is that there's always Ppl dinning in. That shows me its delicious. I was in the mood for some slices, I was tired of salads and stuff. So I drove thru the downtown area and saw this place, circled back and parked. Nothing special about the layout, clean on the inside and decent. They have by the slice so I ordered two pepperoni with a coke. I know, soda is deadly but how can you have pizza without some cherry coke! The talent factor is low in the area but the cashier is young and cute. I waited outside for me slices and noticed this little park across the street with a fountain and some benches. They brought me the slices and went across the street. sat on a bench with some shade and enjoyed my pizza and some reading. Again, low local talent factor so I kept busy reading and returning an e-mail or two. Nothing special about the pizza, it just hit the spot. EDIT: They raised the prices of a lot of the menu items, as well as my favorite: the cheese sticks. What used to be $2.50 is now like $4.50.... whaaaa? The price of cheese bread only increased about a quarter, how unfair (now cost $2.50). I remember trying the cheese bread... although it tasted similar to the cheese sticks, we both agreed we prefered the cheese sticks. Now, it's the other way around... if we had to choose. No, no, no. I'm not coming here anymore unless they lower the price of the cheese sticks. :) (although it IS still cheaper than say, papa john's... which used to be 4 dollars but is now almost 6 dollars after tax) They did remodel the place though, so it looks much nicer. yay for that! The people I liked from here apparently don't work here anymore, so now I say the service is just OK... not as great as before. It's all run by kids now. I just had Lunch at Old Town Pizza. I had 2-slice pizza and a drink, off Lunch Special Menu, you do get choice of Cheese, Pepperoni, and Hawaiian. I came in to Old Town Pizza with low expectations. It was an establishment that I had seen in all my dealhunting searches (they are part of Restaurant.com with a $25 off $35 coupon (i hate how people call restaurant.com coupons Gift Certificates, they are not GCs they are coupons because of all those restrictions and min spend!) and part of Rewards Network (i get 5 airline miles per dollar spent). So I thought they were a problematic and desperate restaurant. I was wrong, their food was really good and great value because of all these promos! Our party of 3 got a 16" Large pizza with Mushrooms, an order of 12 hot wings, 2 Roast Beef dips, 1 Meatball sandwich and a pitcher of stella. Guess the price, you ready? $32.99 with tax and 18% gratuity (as required by restaurant.com). Add the $1.60 I paid to obtain the certificate, thats $34.59 for enough food to feed at least four grown men (which means we didn't finish our food of course), and booze to ensure a good time. There were a few big screen TVs tuned to your favorite sports channels too so that was just like icing on the cake. Hot wings came out first, nice and hot, plenty of meat, just the right amount of spice for most people (not enough for me though, but my friends were saying its pretty hot). The food came soon later, pizza was great, sandwiches were bomb, just everything we had was pretty delicious. Needless to say, I will be back again as it's such a good deal. You should try this place out too. If I had to point out any flaws with this place, it would probably have to be the fact that this is a casual and semi-self service place as expected from a pizza store. But we were charged gratuity. I guess we did use the restaurant.com coupon but my gut feeling of eating out stinginess says no tip without waiter service. But it's okay, we would've paid the 18% gratuity anyways with or without the restaurant.com coupon (ok fine we wouldn't have) but bottom line is I left a happy customer and I will be back and I urge you guys to go here too! read more
