Omelets for the win. They both come with two sides. We upgraded one of our sides to a cinnamon flapjack and it was totally worth it.

"This place is never not busy." As I was told by by a local dentonite, and they were right. This place was absolutely packed to the brim of people enjoying brunch. I totally thought we were destined to wait a crazy long time. However, since it was just a small two top we were seated immediately. Their menu is definitely intimidating and they even have a coffee menu that is two-sided. All I can say is the food is absolutely delicious and totally worth the wait. The portion sizes are huge so if you get an omelette you will not finish it. The flapjack was cinnamon crunch and it was amazing and did not need syrup. The coffee was also absolutely delicious. This was my one meal for the day and I was still full the next day.

Food is good, although not always consistent. Service always amazing. Brunch during the early hours gets really busy. Expect to wait at least 30 mins during the popular times. This is an extremely large area. Staff has always been kind.

Typically go to Old West in Grapevine. Tried Denton location for first time. Old West is the best breakfast place in DFW! Be prepared to wait but worth it. Never disappointed.

Old West Cafe is a favorite place to go to for brunch. The food is always excellent and the service as well.

Had a lovely experience here this weekend for brunch. It was a busy Sunday for sure with several families ahead of us but we only needed to wait 25 to 30 minutes for a table. The server was very friendly and answered all of our questions promptly. He moved with urgency and got us all that we needed! The food itself was delicious and there is plenty to choose from since their menu is massive. Each item was also decently priced for how much food you get. Restaurant dining area was clean but the bathroom could definitely be better as there was paper towels and toilet paper all over the floor.

Wow, I really did step back in time! Great prices for great food.

This is simple! Come here order food and be happy! Great portions, great prices, delicious food, well staffed and amazing service. I ordered a breakfast burrito which comes with 4 choices of ingredients as you can see I ordered 8 for an additional $3.00. I do recommend the hash brown casserole which was very affordable! I am stuffed in a good way, my taste buds are satisfied and if I lived in Denton this would be my go to place. Victoria rocked the service! The only downside was the knucklehead at the table across from me watching a video without headphones.

First time here. Food was delicious VERY generous portions! We got the Curly Wolf scramble- layered meal- ham steak on the bottom, large biscuit split in half, scrambled eggs with cheese, 2 sausage patties, gravy, fried potatoes around the sides, white queso drizzled on top, 2 pieces of bacon! Omg huge! Enough for 4 people and so good! We also got the white chocolate pumpkin spice pancake... also huge Ada big as the plate. Delicious as well. We went Saturday morning around 7:30 no line or wait. Service was great! Very fast! Paige was our server. Definitely going back.

The only reason this isn't 4 stars is because of the attitudes we were "greeted" with...your hostess team needs to be friendly and engaging. The entrance and waiting areas could be better, not easy for disabled folks. Luckily, our waitress was very good. Now, onto the food. We had chicken fried chicken, the vaquero skillet, the coosies skillet and of course shared a buttermilk pancake. The chicken fried chicken was very good and "one of the best" he's had. The vaqueros skillet was very good, those potato's are really good!! The salsa was very fresh tasting as well. The coosies skillet had fluffy biscuits and the gravy was really good. The pancake was just a pancake, kind of stick to the plate but it was still tasty. We were very pleased with the food overall. Again, our waitress was great. Ambiance was fine, casual and easy going. Just kind of rustic but comfortable once seated. Felt congested at the front and you're not allowed to stand there, which is no big deal for most, when it is conveyed in a hospitable manner. There isn't a lot of waiting room if it's raining and cold.,.fyi. Great coffee!

Chicken fried steak was terrible. Tasted like a mound of salt. Most of it was breading and not very much meat. Service was great though

May be it is not my cup of tea. The pan cake is the least item I like. They are big, but very dry and tasteless. May not visit again

There are corn cakes, for those eating gluten free, if you're still wanting pancakes. They're decent. The cinnamon rolls are huge, & not a typical cinnamon roll, as they're made from scratch. Covered in icing! Biscuits are layered, & delicious. French toast is really good, but it's also the same dough used for biscuits, so it isn't like your normal slice of bread French toast. The coffee is from "Avoca," a local roaster in Fort Worth. Sooooo good. Lot of options for the fancy coffee drinkers, at the coffee bar BTW Prices: about $10-20 a plate. Pancakes are pretty big, so you will be full. Everything is reasonable for portion size, compared to price Environment- hipster. Open, can be loud if music is loud, making everyone else talk louder Service- you walk up to the register & order. Menu is on wall, as well as some handheld menus if waiting in line. So you don't have anyone coming to your table, everything is self serve, which is great I used to come here weekly, every Friday morning lol it's well worth stopping in and trying. On this morning, quite a few two-tops were available. Fortunately, there was no need to sit by the bar as those stools had no backs. I ordered the Classic Breakfast. The buttermilk pancakes, of which I barely finished half, were very delicious. The sausage patties were equally delightful. The same could not be said of the syrup which congealed as it poured. Although the fried eggs had a pleasant taste, I failed to be more precise on how they were to be cooked as the yolk was liquified. When I ordered the Holiday Brew drip coffee, I wished the cashier had suggested the Bottomless Drip. As I usually drink more than a single cup, I could have saved some money. Regardless, the coffee had a very pleasant taste. When gratuity was requested, it would have been very beneficial to know for what I was tipping? When I ordered off the breakfast menu, the price was not for the raw ingredients but the cost of it being made. The same with ordering drip coffee. When I saw the silverware by the cream and coffee sweetener, I expected to grab my own utensils. As it was my initial visit, the sign to bus my own table was totally unexpected. It definitely explained why there were a lot of crumbs on the table. Since the sign was near the back, it would have been easily missed if I had not visited the restroom.

My server was doubling as the door guy but what surprised me was that there wasn't another soul in the restaurant at 12:15 on a Friday afternoon. They have a wide open space for seating which to me might potentially get loud if it was busy, but with just me in the place it was quiet. I didn't feel any bad vibes at all from the place. I just happened to drive over while I was waiting for my number to be called at the tax office down the street. Luckily the service was speedy and fast. Cheese enchilada with carne and a hard ground beef taco are my go-to at any restaurant. The enchilada was fine, but the taco really underwhelmed me. Felt like I could make a similar flavor with ground beef and a packet of taco seasoning at home. I will say the shell was well-done to be fair it had a nice and light crispiness to it. Price vs food quality I'd say a smidge on the high side. I did the pick 2 for $13 whereas I felt like it should have been in the $10 range. But new place and new building I can understand if the price point needed to be higher. The menu did have a lot of other meals that I might have been willing to try if not pressed for time. Last thing I wanted to do was miss my number being called a the tax office. So speed-wise also great at this place. I got a couple refills of tea and a to go cup from the waiter and it was much appreciated. It wasn't the service here, nor the location I think. It is the food that probably needs to improve some. I left a $20 which was more than enough for the plate and tea and for the waiter who wasn't at fault at this place.
