Ordered fish fry and was very disappointed!! At $10.50 I expected much better. The fish was overcooked and the fries and coleslaw portion was ridiculous. This was a Long John Silver 's $3.99 lunch plate! Somebody should take the owner to a real Buffalo fish fry or maybe the place should stick to pizza. read more

One of the REAL NYC style pizza places in Buffalo. Everyone claims to have "NYC style" slices but these guys truly do. If you just grab a slice, they are crispy and hot and sized perfectly. I always get a plain cheese slice and am never disappointed. I have also tried their specialty slices and they are all good. You just can't go wrong with a plain slice. Their garlic knots are great too but make sure to ask for sauce on the side to dip in, as it doesn't come with it. Also, they are priced so reasonably for what you get that I can't recommend any where else in Buffalo for a better and true NYC style slice. I also have to mention that I am from NYC and know what a true slice should taste like. This is the closest you'll get. read more

So people seem to really love or really hate this place....and I see why. Nothing on the menu is "superb". Everything is quite mundane taste wise. But that being said, holy crap! The place is clean...I've never even seen a dirty table left. The people are amazeballs! Everybody is professional and super nice. Delivery times are excellent. And prices make it okay to order take-out. My family of four (all with big appetites) can have dinner delivered for about $50. That being pizza and wings, or pasta with salads, or subs. So yea, the food could be better, but the people, prices, and cleanliness make up for it. read more

Grew up 20 mins out of NYC in westchester county and I've been looking for this style of pizza everywhere. The only time i get it is when i go back to visit my parents. When you order from Olisi's just ask for it well done and it's closest you'll get to pizza from my home town. Your pizza sauce and topping taste great. Your pizza dough has some work to do. My family and I found it to be too gummy and chewy for our taste. Also your subs have flavor, but are a bit chincy on your ingredients. Best of luck to you! read more

We're visiting from Ohio, and always like to try local places when we travel. Olisi's was fantastic. My son and husband got the pizza by the slice and loved it - great tasting sauce and crust that was just the right thickness and crispy. I had the best Greek salad with chicken I've EVER had - the lettuce and vegetables were all fresh and crisp, and the grilled chicken was to die for. We absolutely LOVE this place! Being from the NY area I truly missed good NY style pizza. So far this is the best I've had in this area. Their other dishes are good as well like the chicken parm and chicken finger wedges are my husbands favorite. Their wings are also awesome! The previous pizza place that was at this location was less than average, and when trying this pizza I was a bit weary. I was very pleased to find REAL NY style thin pizza. Well stopped cuz wife wanted to try it and as we paid for food ,,,somehow or another I mentioned I had bad experience on my first initial visit and cook or owners son etc asked me what happened and I said nah no biggie and he demanded I tell him ,,, so I told him my story or my previous review and all he said was oh musta been me that was cooking pizzas when they asked if anymore pies coming out of oven ,,,, not that I was looking for free meal but come on common sense says offer someone something for coming back in after negative review and even telling him about my experience ,,, he coulda said well what did u order " I'll take care of this or that " or voucher for something . I'm not a fan of thin crust pizza but did try theirs, it was pretty good. I did love the strombolis...we ordered spinach with ricotta and a chicken....really good and their sauce is just right. Love the pizza. Solid NY style pizza we usually just get cheese and pepperoni. I always get the Caesar salad as well which is large and easily shared by 2-3 people and the dressing tastes homemade which is delicious and mostly why I get it. If you like the thin, New York City or New Haven type of pizza, this is a good place to find it. We had a pizza delivered for a work meeting, and it was worth the wait for delivery. Next time I will pick it up, but the delivery is not the story. The pizza was nice and thin with a good flavor from the cheese and sauce. The pepperoni added some more flavor, although the pizza would have been just as good as a plain cheese pizza. The large 20" pizza had eight very large slices. One slice was filling enough, but the taste caused me to have a half size second slice. Is this a place for you to try? I think so. read more

So- I have been visiting my girlfriend in Tonawanda on some weekends and always stop to get lunch before driving back to Ithaca on Mondays, trying out different pizza joints to get a handle on who might have the pizza I will prefer to order when I finally move up here... and the sign drew me in saying "New York Style Pizza" as I have noticed that wings are great all over the Buffalo area, but pizza- well, let's just say it's not the thin crust awesomeness that I am used to. So far, Olisi's is the place that landed me a GOOD pizza slice to enjoy with my wings. I did not leave disappointed whatsoever. Thank You Olisi's for giving me the option of a good thin crust pizza and I can't wait to have you on speed dial when I move to Tonawanda!
