Pleasant weekend brunch place! Order at the register and grab a table either inside or outside. We went on a Saturday morning, and there were ample street parking and tables to seat. Staffs were super friendly, nice and welcoming (all of them!!). We ordered a latte, spicy chicken sandwich on brioche (default is ciabatta bread) and a santa fe bowl. We had a great lunch today and walked right in and sat at the bar top. We were greeted by a few of the staff and we both ordered the Miso Salmon Bowl, two waters and a latte. For dessert we tried the oatmeal pie and it was delicious! Perfect finish to our great lunch. The location is busy and parking can be difficult but they do offer valet. Street parking is available for a 2 hour time limit in a safe neighborhood. The menu has something for everyone and the selection always brings me back to try something new. Enjoy! read more

Tried this place again today for lunch on a Monday afternoon...we live close so we stop by often. Very familiar with the layed back atmosphere here. Penne with vodka sauce took 25 minutes to come out, they served us complimentary tortilla soup in the mean time, until they figured out the delay with our order...penne arrived very, very aldente (see picture of the white uncooked ring in the pasta). When brought this issue to staff...they offered to remake but that would mean waiting even longer, no thanks! My husbands kale salad barely had dressing...he asked for more and didn't receive, after 7 more minutes of waiting, he walked it inside to remind them of the additional dressing that was forgotten to send to our table. It was not a crazy busy day as far as number of customers but maybe short staffed in the back of the house? Side note: if you want to enjoy the outdoor seating, be sure to not sit under the speakers...the music is too loud, they didn't lower it, they didn't even communicate to us whether they can lower it or not (we are aware things could be preprogrammed and on scheduled settings). The wait staff that brings the food out-wonderfully empathetic, can't say the same for the behind the counter, or of the short vanhalen shirt wearing lady, was she part of the staff? hard to tell...no uniform, no introduction...tighten up the ropes management! I operate several business and respect yelp as a great customer feedback tool...mistakes are ok but the follow thru to address them should not be bypassed. They offered to take the penne off our bill, but how could they? You pay for your meal ahead of time! They just say something and walk away without resolution. read more

I was surprised when I realized I haven't written a review on Olive & Thyme. My husband and I would pass by and grab some food whenever we'd get the chance. It's a cute little spot on the corner. I love how bright it is inside. Unfortunately due to Covid, indoor and outdoor dining have been stopped. But here are a few things we like from O&T: Brioche Sandwich: Apple-wood bacon, heirloom tomatoes, cheddar, garlic aioli, fried eggs, and a toasted brioche. This is the perfect breakfast sandwich in my opinion. A little of everything and it works. It's simple and not overly complicated. I add avocado to my sandwich. It makes it even better. Short Rib Hash: Short ribs, onions, apple-wood bacon, potatoes, and fried eggs. I think they add siracha to this as well. My back up order when I'm not feeling the brioche sandwich at the moment. This is delicious. Avocado & Burrata toast: Avocado, heirloom tomatoes, burrata, sourdough, served with a side of salad. Another simple but out of this world meal. First of all, I'm a big fan of burrata. So if you serve me this with anything, I'd appreciate it and enjoy it. As far as other things on the menu, I have yet to try. Why? I'm not the adventurer type. So catch me here ordering probably the same things over and over again. O&T also has a small section of items for purchase. Pasta, goodies, pastries. This is a great brunch spot if you're in the area. There was still outdoor dining when I went and there were really cute with umbrellas to block the sun and nice fencing to block off the seating area from the sidewalk. Inside the restaurant, there are tons of cute knick-knacks to purchase such as candles, cheese & wine items, and great fun gifts (kitchen decor, hot sauces, etc.) When I arrived there weren't many people but within 10 mins the line grew pretty long and the ordering took a while since there was a party that took a long time ordering at the cashier. The food came out quickly and warm for my entire party. The table was also cleaned thoroughly so we had a great experience and delicious food. I got the breakfast burrito and it was perfectly wrapped with no spillage and a good portion of each ingredient. The eggs were buttery and light which complimented the aromatic bacon and the nice crunch of tater tots. The tomatillo salsa was pretty good and added a nice touch of freshness to the dish. The short rib hash that my boyfriend ordered was incredibly flavorful with sweet and rich meaty flavors but seemed to lack a good balance of the potatoes. There is a heaping amount of meat but not enough carbs so it was difficult to eat a lot of it. The eggs and sauce on top were great but I wish there was something to cut the richness of the dish as the tomatillo sauce did for the breakfast burrito. You can honestly eat the short rib hash with a bowl of rice and be very full and happy! Nevertheless, the dish tasted good and I would recommend coming here for some decent brunch. Parking here was easy as there is plenty of street parking around. The restaurant is right on the corner so it is very well lit by natural lighting and is very aesthetically pleasing so I can imagine it will be packed with brunch-goers again soon when the pandemic is over. So the food is fine and the waitstaff is very nice. The problem with this place is the ordering process. You order at the cashier then wait for them to bring you your meal, and with limited tables you hope to have a place to sit. The food took over an hour to get to the table, one coffee took 45 minutes to get to our table - which was the case for every other table. Maybe there wasn't enough cooks in the kitchen - or maybe because they gave away other peoples food to other tables because they weren't sure who ordered what - which goes back to the ordering process being confusing for the staff. So for example - if 10 people ordered the salad, then the staff would just start giving the salad away to whichever table was closest to them, ignoring the order in which people arrived and had been waiting. read more

So utterly upset that I needed to create my first YELP account just to share this. I had been coming to Olive and Thyme off and on for a while now and enjoyed the food and most of all their staff. The food was always very good but I truly felt the kindness and sweet disposition of the people that worked there. They've always been attentive with giant smiles asking what I (or my party) needed. I initially thought this must be due to the leadership that ran the establishment until I actually heard how horribly an employee spoke to one of my favorite servers. His tone was completely inappropriate, hostile and demeaning towards this poor girl. I could tell she was about to burst into tears and she retreated to the bathroom before I could see how it truly affected her. I was in shock. I waited as long as I could to see if she'd return to the floor. I wanted to ask to speak to a manager, but honestly was afraid this person actually was the person I'd be speaking to and as a woman didn't feel safe to approach anyone. My only recourse is to safely post this review and hope it makes it to the owner. I don't think I will be returning. read more
