    Spaghetti with marinara and meatballs
    Larry D.

Went here recently with a rather large group. I got the never ending pasta bowl with the added proteins. I loved the spicy meat sauce and the mushroom sauce. The marinara was too acidic for me. I also really loved the chicken and the sausage. Sadly, the meatballs were a let down. The young man serving us did a truly excellent job. I am looking forward to returning soon.

For anyone wondering about their new 'spicy' sauce, it's delicious! I always order EXTRA, read all about it! It's got a nice creeping heat that ascends at an interesting pace....adding all sorts of complexity. 'Complexity' is a quality that I'm always on the lookout for. And don't be afraid to add things, including more veggies in it if you like... And their soups? Among the best from any chain, each version is fresh. You can see and taste that aspect. Truly the best of any chain version we have around here. Always enjoy coming with my dad and definitely prefer this newer location. A bit of a drive but it's relaxing and interesting... A good meal is a blessing and we are BLESSED! -G

I usually go to the Clovis Olive Garden and they are usually packed and over an hour wait. My bff had just turned 46 the day before and loves Olive Garden so I treated him to lunch. As soon as we arrived around noon on a Saturday, we were seated right away. Love the cute handwritten stockings up at the host desk. Our server, Matt, made sure we were taken care. Food- Ordered the lighter portion chicken parmesana with minestrone soup. Price was about 14 or 15 and portion was perfect for me. If I did not have to work, definitely would have gotten wine. Bff ordered chicken Alfredo which also looked delicious. Matt comped us a tiramisu for bff's bday! Service, Ambiance & Food was all delicious.

I saw a few comments claiming this location is accommodating to late party. According to management, it's not. They separated our party, and while the servers were willing to move things around to seat us all together, management was insisted that our party couldn't be seated together even when we called ahead to make a reservation. This is place is just a little stranger over for a chain that should remain consistent. Even the coffee presentation was unusual and lukewarm. Some of the silverware was dirty. Overall this location was pretty unpleasant.

12/24/24 Getting grandmothers lunch and side salads to go with lunches. Paid for it on Yelp. Curbside convenience set up. Arrived, checking in and received shortly later with happy holiday wishes. Lunchtime! Fresh & tasty salads with Great breadsticks. Grandmother really enjoyed her lunch too! She said it was Delicious! Good service & Great lunches! Highly recommended!!

My friend and I had a great time dining here. The food was delicious and came out nice and hot. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking in on us regularly and making sure we were comfortable. The service was just a little slower than expected during the rush, but overall we really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back!

Fortunately, there was no wait time. It's my bday so we came to celebrate. The music is so upbeat and fits the ambiance well. The food came out quickly and our waitress was very efficient. The portions are big and we took a few to go plates. You can't beat $6 to go boxes.

I think the service is hit or miss at Olive gardens so it's hard to judge based off the overall reviews. I had a good experience this time. Waitress was on point with everything. My go to is chicken and shrimp carbonara with the gnocchi soup and it hits the spot everytime

As you can see, I'm placing my order before the lunch special deadline which is 3 PM and nothing is available.

Though I usually prefer a non-marinara base, the Margherita pizza at Annesso's really impressed me. I loved how simple and flavorful it was! The burrata on the pesto pizza came cold which really threw me off but it was still good. For pasta option, the Mafaldine stood out and I had to order it. The garlic-butter sauce was the highlight of the dish for me! Service was quick and friendly. I love the ambiance of the restaurant. It does get really busy from what my friend was telling me. But I think it's safe to say I have another favorite spot to eat in Fresno whenever I'm visiting again!

We waited 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged our table. He admitted the wait was "ridiculous" and blamed it on the restaurant being busy, but that doesn't excuse ignoring guests for that long. We ordered the Mafaldine pasta, the Sprouting Cauliflower appetizer to share, a Coke, and a cocktail. The Sprouting Cauliflower appetizer was terrible--bland, unappetizing, and not worth ordering. The pasta was good, but it wasn't enough to make up for the abysmal service. Our Coke didn't arrive until about 20 minutes later, we were never given plates for the appetizer, and our server never once checked on us to see if we needed anything or how our meal was. After asking for to-go boxes, he disappeared yet again. Eventually, we gave up waiting and walked to the front station ourselves to ask for a bag and our check because it was obvious we had been forgotten. As soon as he saw us heading to the front, he rushed over as though he thought we were trying to leave without paying. He immediately printed the check and stood there waiting for payment. When I told him I wanted to review the bill first, he looked genuinely surprised. After I paid, I explained that we had a very poor experience. His only response was that he "tried his best." If that was truly his best, then Annesso has a serious service problem. We watched him provide attentive service to his other tables while ours was consistently ignored from start to finish. No customer should have to chase down their server for basic service, wait excessive amounts of time for drinks, eat a shared appetizer without plates, or get up and request their own check because they've been abandoned. The food alone is not enough to justify returning. Between the terrible appetizer and the unacceptable service, we will never be back. There are far too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and provide the level of service Annesso clearly does not. We will absolutely be sharing our experience with friends and family and cannot recommend this restaurant.

The waiter was super attentive and efficient the entire evening. We went for dinner, so the restaurant was definitely dimly lit, which I think is the atmosphere they're going for. It was a little dark for our taste at first, but we were able to open the blinds. If you enjoy cozy, dim dinner ambiance, this is definitely your kind of place. The menu uses Italian names for many of the dishes, so I wasn't immediately sure what everything was, but once we figured it out, everything we ordered was delicious. The angel hair pasta was simple but absolutely perfect. We also had cheesecake for dessert, and it was fantastic. I also appreciated that they had a kid's menu, plus mini pizza options for kids. My five-year-old only made it through a couple slices because the portions were generous. Definitely come hungry, and don't be surprised if you leave with a doggy bag because the portions are big. Highly recommend!

The meatballs were tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, not dry or overly dense, but exactly what you hope for in classic Italian comfort food. Every bite felt homemade and satisfying, the kind of meal that reminds you of a family kitchen rather than a restaurant. This is our 3rd visit to Dicicco's on Shaw Ave Van Ness Avenues…read more Dicicco's is a family owned restaurant. It has a long and wonderful history here in the Fresno area. Each restaurant is owned by a family member of the original Dicicco's which was located on Belmont Ave. I have great memories of the little brick building. It's where I had my first Dicicco's pizza about 50 years ago! Every visit here has been a delicious experience. Each of our servers has not only provided excellent service but they've made our dining experience a fun one. Elena was our server this evening and she was so much fun! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the food! Haha well ... Tonight, my hubby had The Don. The Don is epic! It features Fettuccine Alfredo And Lasagna as part of a 3 main dish combo with your choice of one of their delicious chicken dishes. You have a choice of all the classics: Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Panna, and even Chicken Cacciatore. Can you believe that?! Well, he chose the tried and true Chicken Parm. I was surprised because this has never been his favorite dish but is mine. His dinner was absolutely delicious! But how would I know? He loved it so much that he shared a good bite of each with me. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The marinara was light and well... perfect. The Lasagna? You have to come try it. Just like Nonna's. Well, not My nonna because I'm not Italian, but you know what I mean! I decided to try something different and ordered the Old Blue Eyes. This dish features penne pasta with green onions, fresh spinach, and perfectly cooked chicken breast pieces gently tossed in a delicious pink sauce. Let's have some saucy conversation here. This Pink Sauce is no ordinary Pink Sauce. It has a depth of flavor that is so good and complex that well, you're just going to have to come and experience it for yourself! It's much more than just a marinara with a touch of Alfredo. This is a unique sauce that stands on its own! You really owe it to yourself to discover a Fresno gem that offers the taste and feel of a delicious family dinner in a bright and cheerful setting. We invite you to come and experience this Dicicco's! Their menu offers a variety of dishes not available at the others. Do you have vegetarian or vegan friends or family? We do and were they ever surprised to have more than one choice. Don't forget... You can add a soup or salad for a modest charge. Along with the salad they offer a choice of homemade Minestrone or Cream of Zucchini. Either are good choices but... If you're a Clam Chowder lover come in on a Friday when you can find it made fresh. Friday is also the only day that they do not serve Cream of Zucchini. If you have the chance to order the Cream of Zucchini do it! My husband is Very picky and if he liked it you're sure to love it! I absolutely enjoyed every delicious spoonful! It was light yet warm and comforting. A soup that is perfect for a chilly night like tonight. It's so good that it's worth going out to dinner just to have a bowl of it with some of their fresh, hot buttered bread. Yum!! (PS:#1 Elena deserves a raise. She was so much fun. If I had a restaurant I'd try to steal her! #2- Do not ever let go of the person who made that Cream of Zucchini soup because it's worthy of the Soup Nazi! If you're old enough, you'll know what I mean!) (Sorry, but I forgot to take pictures)
