    celebrating my birthday!

I am celebrating my birthday here. And now it's my favourite place in Bay Area! Everything is so tasty and delicious! Beer is something different. I have never tried beer like this before. Thank you so much!

    Chocolate and pistachio baklava

I always love coming here because they are friendly and the outdoor seating is comfy and fosters a good sense of community. They also have a great beer selection and really good beer prices for the South Bay area. Today, I have to give the food mixed reviews. I enjoyed my knockwurst with grilled onions, sauerkraut and brown mustard. The sausage was tasty and the bun was soft and sweet. The krinkle fries held the ketchup well but were otherwise a little dull. I had to add salt. My wife felt the same about her fries and also the steak wrap. She said the steak was tender but not super flavorful, nor did the tzaziki have much flavor. The baklava was sweet and crunchy, but again the dough could have had more flavor. I enjoyed the pistachio over the chocolate.

Cozy, friendly owner and lovely outdoor seating on the main strip on Mountain Views food alley. We love various great selection of German beers on draft. A lots of authentic Mediterranean & German bakeries to choose from. We tried various baklava & really think it has great texture and not too sweet. My veal jager schnitzel came with large portion & tasty. The mushroom topping was crunchy & not overcook. The sauce is well blended. The crispy and tasty fried veal really complement the whole dishes esp. when you paired with some German beer. I also like the dolma, hummus & babaghanoush. They are great appetizer. The owner is very friendly. Talking to us and asked for feedback. Also, gave us complimentary feta fries! Would love to go back again in the future.

Located right at almost the end of Castro Street by the train station is this Turkish gem. Whenever you are in Mountain View and you want to try some real nice middle eastern food with more of a Turkish spin I would make this your stop. Whatever it is that you like they have it. Along with beers for you to savor during your meal or their "Happy Hour", they also have coffee and desserts. WE recently made a stop here for lunch and I had the Falafel wrap and it was great. It was the perfect lunch for that day. It most certainly has its own twist and was a bit different than what I have had before, but I loved it. The staff are great and friendly. I most certainly would come back again to try the wonderful looking bakery and caffe items.

Searching for a place to grab a quick meal, my party and I stumbled upon this restaurant. I found the environment very pleasant and the food to be alright. The prices were very fair, but I felt the food was just average overall. My party did not like their items and felt that what they paid for was not met. They have a great selection of alcohol but the advice they gave to my wife on how to pour her beer backfired as she ended up drinking 40% foam. I don't know if I'd ever come here again, but do you recommend the place as it's a decent place for parties to enjoy time together. 3/5.

I think the vibes were really cool, but something threw me off. There was an obvious greek theme they were going with but i felt like it was also pretty german due to the food and beer. I like the desserts. My favorite one has to be the napoleon because the taste was creamy and sweet but not enough for me to get tired of the flavor. The tiramisu tasted average but a little more on the sweeter side. My friends got beers and they liked the hibiscus one and a cider that i forgot the name of. The pistachio cake and carrot cake tasted pretty similar but not worth mentioning. My friends got the wurst platter and the sausage in the right was my favorite with the snap and string flavor. It was meaty without the gaminess. THE APPLE STRUDEL TASTED REALLY GOOD OMG I LIKED THE FLAVOR IT WAS MISSING ICE CREAM BUT OTHERWISE I LIKED IT

    Gyro bowl
    Vivi B.

Really delicious but the bowl was mainly rice and the gyro was really salty for me. The hummus and veggies were awesome. The patio seating is so nice! The line to order can get long on a Friday at 6:30 pm but the food comes out pretty fast. They have wine and beer too.

It was an okay place to be dine, they have varieties of the beers, and foods and drink tastes okay. It was a relaxing Saturday, people show up after 11:30am. some People came dine here have extensive knowledges about the type of the beers they would like to orders. My friends said the foods were good. I tried their beer couple years ago.

    Chicken pita with fries (6/10)

This place is a decent place to gather with a big group. They have both QR code and counter ordering, which makes it easy to have separate checks and manage people showing up at different times. Also, their patio (on the side facing the Caltrain station) has plenty of tables with bench seating. Since the patio tables are pretty close together, it's easy to spread a group across a few of them, though it makes getting out a little hard for folks in the middle of the bench. But, the food is nothing special. The quantities are okay for the price, but the flavors aren't that pronounced. The beers looked good, though, so this place may be better for grabbing a drink than grabbing a meal.

Nice place to sit alone or be with company. The staff were friendly and served my food quickly, I hope to come back and try more dishes!

PERFECT MV BRUNCH SPOT! this is my third time visiting this place for brunch, absolutely love it! Shakshuka is my go-to here but this time I tried Menemen and it was equally delish. Iced Latte with Hazelnut is not to be missed. It usually gets busy on Saturdays but we came here on a Sunday and no wait. Ambiance is as Californian as it gets, outdoor seating is my favorite on a good sunny day. Highly recommended!

    Falafel Salad
    Heather I.

The falafel salad was HUGE! I couldn't believe how full I was after eating it. We sat outside since it was a nice, sunny day. They have plenty of outside seating! Service was wonderful. They were kind and helped us a lot.

I would definitely come back here! We had a mishap on the food and was brought the wrong order. After letting them know immediately of this mistake they took it back and made me my right order. We do regret ordering the Blueberry Pancakes though. The blueberry flavor was lacking and we were expecting more blueberries in it. The rest of the food did make up for it though! My partner loved her Chicken Wrap! She said it made up for the pancakes! And the fries were so delicious! I couldn't stop eating off of her plate. I also love how they give you ketchup, ranch, and hummus with the order. With the Nutella Texas French Toast I do wish that the pieces were thicker and there were more strawberries. But we did not leave one thing left on that plate!!!!!! It was so delicious and if I go back I will be getting that again! The restaurant has a tavern/pub vibe but we sat outside.

There's a beautiful outdoor area in the back with tons of tables. Even though it was super busy, we still had our choice of a few tables, and the foliage/patio umbrellas make it nice and shady. Our food was also delicious! We got: Prosciutto and egg sandwich - eggs were super light and fluffy, and the sandwich was well balanced and cheesy too! Fat and fluffy French toast - such a generous portion and the berries and whipped cream were so yummy! The toast itself had crispy edges and was super fluffy! Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. This isn't a traditional sit down service but counter staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small parking lot off to the side and there is indoor and patio seating. We ended up ordering two of the Joanie's Breakfast Medleys, mine with french toast and chicken apple sausage, and my wife's with pancakes and bacon. Although it was a decently sized plate, I guess I expected a bit more for over $25...the french toast was like two halves of one slice, but the chicken apple sausage and potatoes were good. Coffee was nice as well, and they kept coming by to refill, which was nice and needed. However disaster struck when one of the waiters knocked off a tray from a ledge right by our table. The tray crashed onto our table and spilled water, hot coffee, and creamer all over me, and our under two year old who started crying. I rushed over to check for burns from the coffee, but luckily it was okay. After the clean-up I was waiting to see if anyone might come by to ask if anything was needed, let me know if I could get more food since I wasn't entirely finished, or at least apologize and comp our meal. Unfortunately I didn't get any replacement food, and they brought the bill and mentioned that we didn't have to pay for coffee...$68 pre-tip was a little upsetting after our experience, even though I know accidents can happen... Of course, later on I smelled spoilt because of the creamer/milk that was still on my clothes after walking around the Farmer's Market...lovely...

While I never…read moremet the man, he has incredible taste, because Sweet Maple has the best breakfast food I've ever had in the bay area. Well worth the trip. The two of us were dubious about the Millionaire's Bacon, because it was hyped up to the point where it seemed unlikely that it could live up to the reputation. We were wrong. We ordered the Millionaire's Bacon sampler platter, which is four strips of long, thick pieces of bacon, baked with brown sugar and spices. There is the original, which is brown sugar, cayenne, red, and black pepper, which was sweet, salty, and the perfect amount of spicy. The other slices were orange, cinnamon, and rosemary. My partner enjoyed the orange best, whereas I loved the cinnamon, but we both thought the rosemary was underwhelming. The bacon itself was very thick and meaty with a minimal amount of fat, and was just clearly high quality pork. Truly worth the hype. We also got the bottomless mimosas, which not only had multiple choices of juice (we got raspberry lemonade) but were surprisingly heavy on the champagne. The waiter kept them coming without us needing to ask, to the point where I had to tell him I was done because I was a little too tipsy for breakfast. My partner got the chicken croffle, and was very impressed. I tried the fried chicken (though not the croffle) and it was very well spiced, very crunchy, and well cooked--juicy and tender. I got the big hip, which is deep fried "french toast". I wouldn't call it french toast myself, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with fresh fruit, butter, and syrup. There wasn't enough syrup for the entire dish, but I asked our waiter for more and he came back with it in less than a minute. On top of the food being as close to perfect as you can get, the service was great. Several different waiters checked in on us throughout the meal, making sure we were enjoying the food and that we didn't need anything else. The vibes of the restaurant are really enjoyable too. The décor is lovely, the sound levels are very reasonable, and everything was spotless during our visit. Overall, I can't recommend Sweet Maple enough, and I'm kind of glad it's not closer to my house because I would go bankrupt with the amount of Millionaire's Bacon I'd buy on a weekly basis.

The host received us warmly, but things slipped from there. Our table was missing cutlery and we had to flag our server down to get it sorted. We asked for a minute to look over the menu since it was our first visit. He did not come back for five minutes, and only because we flagged him down again. When we ordered, he took our request without making eye contact, attention clearly elsewhere in the restaurant. One dish came out. The second did not. Our server never circled back to check on us, and seemingly did not notice that one of us had no food in front of her. After nearly ten minutes, we flagged him down again. He called over from across the restaurant, not walking to us, with a "what?" We had to gesture that my guest still had no food. He came over briefly, confirmed our order, said it was coming soon, and left. No apology. No acknowledgment of the wait. No offer to make it right while one plate sat getting cold. The food eventually came, again with no apology. It was good. But by then, honestly, the experience had overshadowed it. We asked for a manager. Cathy came over, listened, and immediately apologized. She agreed the service fell short, gave us a break on the bill, and handled the situation with real grace. She is the reason this review has any stars at all! For reference, our server's name on the receipt read Mui F. I hope Cathy's conversation with him makes a difference, because Sweet Maple clearly has the food to back up its reputation. We ordered 2 chips and salsa for the table and the others ordered, arugula salad, tacos de carnitas, mahi mahi tacos, hamachi tostadas and drinks such as the spicy tamarindo, mocktail and margarita. Everyone loved their selections. One of my friends ordered the chocolate tart and the chocolate was too rich for my liking but the mousse that accompanied it was soo good, very tart and tropical. This restaurant is on California Ave., no restaurant parking but there is street parking nearby, although not on this street since its closed off to vehicle traffic. There is also a parking lot and a parking garage nearby. Once you eat, you can take a nice stroll down the Ave. Check online for details but once a month, on Thursdays, the city helps to sponsor a Thursday Live events with music, giveaways and games. Even without the Thursday Live events...this restaurant is a must if you are in the area.
