We came with a group for NYE and it was all of our first time. I have to say, I was definitely impressed. The food and service were great, my steak was perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious. The restaurant itself could do with a bit of updating, especially the bathrooms. It was also a bit on the pricey side, about $100/pp and we brought our own wine. All in all, a good steakhouse to have in your rotation in Omaha!

Wanted to like this place soooo badly, but our experience was absolutely horrendous. We were greeted by what seemed like a host in training (or maybe just a helicopter of an owner). The first thing they told us about was the location of the bathrooms (hmmm.. probably wouldn't start a guest's experience with that) and asked if we had a reservation like HMMM not sure if we can fit you in... ok the place was empty. We were seated upstairs and we asked if we could be outside (as it was the nicest weather day of the entire summer) and they noted the patio was closed. Let's note they have literally the most dreamy outdoor section of all time. They said that section was closed. I do understand, but it was 8pm in the summer, at a steakhouse, and the patio is literally on the other side of the windows from the table we were sat at. We waited indoors for 5-10 minutes and were not greeted, and not brought water. Servers constantly walked right past us. Finally, once greeted we asked once again if there was any way we could be outdoors, as the place was so quiet it didn't seem like it would be the end of the world for them to make an exception. At this point, it was clear that there must be a power struggle going on at this establishment because the servers were so certain management wouldn't allow it, although those tables are literally 2 feet away from our current table inside. We finally were allowed to go outdoors, and minutes later they allowed another table to be sat near us on the patio. Again, no service, no water... nothing. Then, the topper on the cake was the other table seated outdoors without a struggle.. was greeted immediately, got water, and their drink order. Still no water or nod to us that we were even there. No water, now we are 15 minutes into the experience. Clearly, there was mass miscommunication at this establishment, and total lack of teamwork. We really tried to wait it out, but decided our time at this steak house would have to come to an end before even receiving water. We really wanted to like this place because the patio was so dreamy and relaxing, but enough is enough. We took a few photos of this historic place, and left.. never to return.. not worth it.

My husband and I came to town to celebrate our anniversary. After speaking with a few locals and the staff from our hotel we knew Omaha Prime would be the best place for our anniversary dinner. When we came in for our reservation we were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary. We ordered a round of drinks and the Chilean Sea Bass, the 14 oz KC strip steak, and a baked potato to share. The sea bass was absolutely delicious and the garlic sauce was to die for. My husband raved on his steak and potatoes as well. The service was absolutely top tier, and we were gifted cheesecake for an anniversary dessert. I truly loved everything about this place. If you find yourself in the area we highly recommend stopping in for your next steak dinner.

Sometimes you need to go straight to the source And that's what we did in Omaha. We had the best quality steaks we've ever had. Out in the Midwest, where the cows are raised, you won't find a fresher steak. It's hard to describe but the tenderness was unlike anything we've had before. The meats were so juicy and cooked to a perfect rare. We ate every piece so fast in order to enjoy the amazing meats. The truffle cheesy mashed potatoe side was phenomenal paired with our steaks and red wine. There are so many steakhouses to choose from in Omaha but this one was a fantastic classic one. The vibe was old school and not much frills with great service. They truly let the quality of food dominate the experience. Highly recommend!

So headed back home from our trip and my father and I decided to get a good steak for the evening. We didn't want to go somewhere to pricy because we just weren't dressed for the fancy places! We stepped into Omaha Prime and it was like stepping back into time! The decor is older but not horrible! But let's be real. I was there for the steak not the decor. I ordered the Caesar Salad and bone in filet. Caesar salad was fresh and had actual anchovies on it. That provided a new level of saltiness that I had not had. I have to say it was one of the best caesars I have had. The bone in filet... was it worth the extra money or not? I would vote just to get a normal filet. But hey I can say I tried it! The filet was cooked perfectly and was a great piece of meat. Tender and seasoned well. My father ordered the hash browns and asparagus family style sides which were both good. Overall I can say the service was excellent, they have a great bourbon collection to choose from, and the steak was great.

Almost our whole spread! Twin tail lobsters, porterhouse steak medium rare, asparagus, and mushrooms on the way!

Fine dining is something that we rarely treat ourselves to. We both appreciate great food, well put together dishes, and special touches that make an entree unique. I had heard about Omaha Prime through word of mouth and it all looked (from the pictures) and sounded delicious! One morning one of my friends through asked what days would work best for me and Jason to try out Omaha Prime. A few weeks later after figuring out our schedules he had set up a reservation to trek on down to Old Market and try this local New York Style steakhouse. We started off dinner with an appetizer of the shrimp cocktail. These came pretty promptly and a great portion size for the two of us workout-a-holics. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and cooled and large as well. When our main dishes started coming out were were so amazed by their beauty and abundance. Our porterhouse was wonderfully cooked to our liking and being able to taste both sides was an experience I'll always remember. Now I can easily tell the difference between a new york strip and filet mignon, but eating them both in one sitting was amazing. Both were delicious in their own unique ways. The mushrooms were wonderful, if I was going to enjoy mushrooms I'd enjoy it sauteed in brandy just like this. Everything we ordered went incredibly well together like a beautiful harmony of notes that create a beautiful song. Even our waiter was a delight to have help us out. We ended our dinner trying a couple of their desserts which were the perfect ending to our evening. The New York cheesecake and key lime pie were just enough rich with the right amount of sweetness. We are so thankful to Mo and our waiter, our friends who treated us, and this tucked away steakhouse that has more to offer than what it seems. Be sure to make reservations and treat yourself!

38oz Tomahawk Ribeye and Cabernet. I spared the garnish.

While I'm Town I decided to try what I hoped would be the best (read: most expensive) steak ever. I ended up ordering a 38oz Tomahawk Ribeye ($110) and a nice Cabernet. This is NOT something I normally do, lol, but I wanted a memorable "Omaha steak experience". I don't know if I'm ready to claim that it was the best steak in my life, but it was pretty damn good, and it was cooked perfectly (medium rare), especially considering how thick it was. The waiter was great, and I have no complaints about the atmosphere. It's in a great location for anyone wanting to wander around the Old Market district.

The best steak I've ever had in my life!!! I was here for a weekend and was in the middle for steaks. We have gone to many steakhouses including Mastros and Morton's and this steak beats all of them. I asked for my steak well done and it was still so juicy and delicious.

Bacon wrapped quail !! So so good !!

This place is great !! They fit us in last minute on valentines eve. So cool of them. The bacon wrapped quail was my favorite. The crab cakes were crisp outside and I loved that. The cocktails were okay. The tomahawk steak was epic ! We had It uncut and with the crab legs that were on point. Brussels were great and the mushrooms and the cream of spinach. It was All around a really great experience! It was about $110 per person and that's with ordering extra and lots of cocktails.

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

Honestly, we weren't that... impressed, but we gave it a valiant go on both meals chosen! Kinda bummed there wasn't a drink menu with cocktails, but they had a great selection of wine ranging from $100-$500 a bottle. So, we stuck with water. Bread and creamy butter was dropped off while we waited and who can't resist a warm roll? Got the Trail Boss Prime Rib, with salad bar, and baked potato side was requested as medium. The au ju lacked flavor, and only lasted a few bites before not used at all. The baked potato was delish though! Prime rib was very tender, a lot of cap which was nice, but it was just sorta.. average. I snagged their Teriyaki Tenderloin Kabob on a bed of wild rice, salad bar, and asparagus side (probably the first restaurant I've seen that's offered asparagus as an actual side), requested well done. By all accounts it does look a bit charred, but when the veggies were pulled apart, they were warm and tender and paired well with the teriyaki and rice. That rice was delish! Asparagus didn't blow any air up my skirt unfortunately, because I really wanted it to blow my mind. I felt like we left a lot of food on our plates, but that could've just been how it was. We just felt... underwhelmed and wasn't picking up on all the hype.

Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

The food offered there is the full menu, so we started with some onion rings to nosh on while drinking. Those onion rings were very interesting, with a thicker dough-style breading, they were very good. Next was to sit down for dinner and I apologize for forgetting our server's name, but he's been there about 15 years and he was great! Perfect amount of attention to our party, great pace, great suggestions too. The menu was tough, as there were several options, so I asked him to choose for me - he did a nice job. Hoped I didn't get sick. Unpleasant texture. Not mixed tableside, we mixed the raw egg into the dish ourselves. Three steaks were severely undercooked. My steak (bone in filet special) was MR, I asked for MW. It tasted as if it was marinated low quality beef, chewy, difficult to cut, (yes, this filet was not easy to cut with a quality steak knife), odd texture. colleagues steak was basically raw (appeared bloody red)--he'd requested MR, sent it back to kitchen twice! Another colleagues steak was very Rare. Steaks were really disappointing as was the preparation. Our party of five was surprised when the steak was returned still undercooked. Considering the quality of my bone in filet steak and the undercooked steaks, I won't return to this location. There's a kitchen issue that needs to be resolved and the manager when that steak was recooked for second time should have observed it was still very rare when he delivered it because our table of five all did. Less than stellar experience due to the subpar beef tartare and steaks.

Celebrating my "hero", my hubby tonight!…read more Thanks Firebird's for the invite. We appreciate the love! I ordered the salmon and the hubby ordred the sea bass. Our sides broccoli and mashed potatoes! The food was good tonight!!! Surprisingly enough, the restaurant was quiet despite being really busy with lots of customers dining inside and outside. Shout out to our server Brent! He's fantastic!!!

I'm not sure anyone had an amazing bite but the menu was large so there is still potential! I will say the one thing that stood out the most to me was the flavor. If the menu item said chipotle, Parmesan, honey, etc then that flavor was there and you could not get away from it! I had Parmesan in my potatoes and salad and it was overpowering. And my friend got the chipotle potatoes au gratin and said he could barely get the potato flavor. We all had the three course meal and most of us got the steak. We all ordered at different temperatures including medium well and they all came out rare or just uneven. It was good flavor and it wasn't too chewy so we all just ate it with no complaints! Along with the three course meal was a mini dessert so we all tried each and they all fell flat. We did get them to-go so maybe that had something to do with it but even a simple brownie wasn't anything great. Overall I want to chalk it up to wrong ordering and hope to come back and try other menu items and some suggestions!
