They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

I snagged their Teriyaki Tenderloin Kabob on a bed of wild rice, salad bar, and asparagus side (probably the first restaurant I've seen that's offered asparagus as an actual side), requested well done. By all accounts it does look a bit charred, but when the veggies were pulled apart, they were warm and tender and paired well with the teriyaki and rice. That rice was delish! Asparagus didn't blow any air up my skirt unfortunately, because I really wanted it to blow my mind. I felt like we left a lot of food on our plates, but that could've just been how it was. We just felt... underwhelmed and wasn't picking up on all the hype.

After the devastating fire in 2015, I wasn't sure what to expect when they reopened. Thankfully, the restoration was incredibly faithful to the original while somehow making the space feel even better than before. It still has the warm, timeless atmosphere that makes it such a special place with fun staff. Whether you're a local or visiting Omaha for the first time, M's Pub is a restaurant I recommend without hesitation. It's a true Omaha institution that continues to deliver exceptional food and an experience that's stood the test of time.

We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

Considering the quality of my bone in filet steak and the undercooked steaks, I won't return to this location. There's a kitchen issue that needs to be resolved and the manager when that steak was recooked for second time should have observed it was still very rare when he delivered it because our table of five all did. Less than stellar experience due to the subpar beef tartare and steaks.

We did get them to-go so maybe that had something to do with it but even a simple brownie wasn't anything great. Overall I want to chalk it up to wrong ordering and hope to come back and try other menu items and some suggestions!

What more could you want from a true top chophouse?? My strip was cooked to perfection! The blue cheese potatoes are out of this world! Great ambience- top notch server! Mo and his staff have perfected the dining experience! Update- we also purchased a couple gift certificates during these COVID19 times- I hope others are doing this as well! This is the only locally owned steak house in Omaha- I go out of my way to not eat at chains as much as I used to (nothing wrong with them- I just like to emphasize on the local experience!) Omaha Prime is the worst interpretation of the classic American Steakhouse I have ever been too. Putting "Prime" on the name was brilliant, unfortunately, the meat is far from prime. The Ambience is dated and filthy. The food is the most over priced in town and not good. The service doesn't really even matter at this point, but, it did get this place the second star. But the darker palette doesn't make it very dark in there (not like The Drover which is dangerously dark!) Food wise, we started with two starters. The Lobser Bites with drawn butter for dipping was AMAZING. And the Billion Dollar Deviled Eggs were awesome too, very fresh and not gigantically cut which can be an annoyance to me when that happens. Our entree came pretty fast behind the apps, and I had the picatta with salmon as the protein. I asked for extra sauce and they definitely delivered. It was swimming in it and I loved that! I had the broccolini with it and that was good with the sauce too. My husband and Dad (the man of the hour) both had the New York Strip, and they were HUGE, very thick and juicy. They both also got the Cowboy Butter with their steaks and yummm. I had to have a bite of my husband's and it just melted in your mouth. We were very full at this point, but it was a special occasion, so we made sure to grab a few (one for each of us). My dad got the Carrot Cake and was in heaven. He said he hadn't had that in so long and was really impressed. I had the tiramisu and it was large and very fluffy and tasty. And my husband got the Lithuanian torte and it was bomb! (He got one to take home too) The most important part, my Dad said he had never been treated so well or been to such a nice, quality, restaurant. He had a great time and that's the main reason for the visit so it was a success. For a special occasion or for out of town guests that you want to treat, I think Gorat's is perfect for that!

It looked like they had New chair, chairs and table tables and I think the carpet was even new. They had a black theme going on which I thought made it feel like a little bit more of an upscale steakhouse, but still with the country charm. Our server with so sweet and took care of us very well. She came back to check on us often and was very helpful explaining things on the menu. We all ended up ordering the sirloin steak. You can choose the side of your choice . Our sides varied a little bit because my one friend can't have gluten, so she ended up ordering the baked potato. they were very accommodating and understood about needing to be careful with even the steak as they cooked it, to keep everything gluten-free. My other friend and I got the potato casserole. It was pretty good, but I wished I would've gotten the potato because I love a good baked potato with my steak. The sirloin steak was a great size and mine was done to perfection. It was a little tough in spots, but that is to be expected with sirloin. The flavor was fabulous, though. We had a nice corner table with a view out the window. The atmosphere is very enjoyable and it wasn't too loud. They have a huge dining area so we didn't have to worry about if we were going to get a table or not. I want to come back and try some of their other specials. Check out their website, it tells about each special that they have Monday through Friday and Saturday night they have prime rib! Round the Bend Steakhouse is definitely worth the drive, especially if you want to get out of the city and enjoy a nice little drive in the country. Mahoney State Park is close. Also, the Air Museum is by Mahoney. And Ashland has so many cool shops and a winery and a brewery.

Although we didn't sit by the water, the ambiance in our section was warm, intimate, and perfect for the occasion. We began with the Carnival Crunch Eggrolls, and they were phenomenal -- crispy, flavorful, and elevated even further by a sauce that deserves its own spotlight. Our entrées arrived quickly: the miso‑glazed Faroe Island salmon for me, and the braised short rib with lobster mac for my better half. The salmon was incredibly tender and buttery, while the short rib was perfectly seasoned and melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender. The brown sauce accompanying it was so good I'd happily put it on everything I eat. The lobster mac and cheese was, without exaggeration, the best mac I've ever had. Salted Edge is on the pricier side, but for a special occasion, the quality and experience make it absolutely worth it.

A friendly, loquacious fellow quickly showed me to a booth, then retreated to the bar. I was actually seated in the bar area, but I could hear the noise of diners on the other side of the wall. A quick glance later confirmed another dining area, plus outdoor seating and an apparent balcony that also had tables. The menu has a lot of choices but only one jumped out at me as vegan--the black bean burger. The waitress asked if I was ok with cheese on it, which I was. I also ordered a serving of French onion soup, which just seemed like it would hit the spot. For the small amount of diners in the space, it took a bit longer than expected to get my lunch. The soup was already cool enough to eat, which surprised me. The burger was also not piping hot which makes me think the food was sitting out for awhile before it got to me. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying it. The cheesy crouton on the soup was stretchy with melted cheese atop lots of onions and flavorful broth. The burger had onions, lettuce and tomato slices dressing it, and had a bit of spiciness that was just right. I had coffee too, and it was good. This place is far off from my usual haunts, so likely I won't be back, unless I happen to be in the area again.
