Decided to have breakfast with my love bug after Sunday mass. Yelped it and found this joint. Parking sucks in downtown LB. you either to have park far away and pay like $5 or park on the street and put some coins in a meter. So make sure you have some spare change. Hostess is set up right in the front by the out door eating area. The wait was about 10-15 minutes or so. We asked to sit outside even know I did not want too- but my fiance hates being crowed and the inside looked pretty cramped. We were seating right in the front behind the hostess. I liked watching all the cars and people walking by. Since I was chilly I ask for a hot coco and the fiance went with a OJ. Let me tell you that hot coco is one of the best that I have ever tired!!! OJ was freshly squeezed fiance enjoyed and asked for another. Nice young servers but a few different ones came to out table- so when I needed something I did not which one to ask. I decided to go with the mama mia omelette with home fires and the fiance went with the chili cheese omelette with home fries. We also added 2 banana nuts pancakes. Food arrived in about 15-20 minutes something like that. Once the food arrived I did not know that the pancakes were bigger the my head!!! I knew we were not going to be able to finish all this food along with the toast that they brought out too! My Mama Mia Omelette was quite good. The sauce and sausages were flavorful and at first I thought this will not mix well together but it did. The home fries were crispy as I asked for and just right! The Chilli Cheese Omelette was a twister for me. It had black beans for the chilli which I was totally cool and different. The chilli had a good amount of spices and blended well together with the cheese! Banana nut pancakes were HUGEOOOOOOO and they were packed with bananas and walnuts! But overall the service and food was pretty good. I would love to return and actually eat inside and try something different. read more

They only give you one piece of toast with your meal instead of 2. I asked the waiter and he said they changed that 3 weeks ago. :( They gave me two pieces after I asked. Nice gesture. Also I had to ask for Squaw bread with my super spuds. She said "you didn't ask for toast so I didn't give it to you " why should I have to ask. Just offer it to me because it comes with the meal.... I ordered Super Spuds. Three eggs, potatoes and I added on Swiss cheese, bell peppers, green onions and turkey sausage. It was very good as usual. I see they made the serving a bit smaller than before. I have been coming here over 10 years so I noticed all of the changes they have made. This place is super delicious! They have lots of options for people who enjoy omelettes. The other breakfast (pancake, french toast etc) food is more limited. However, I went craving a nice hearty brunch that was a bang for my buck and this place did it! My vegetarian omelette was under $10 and came with very tasty home fries. I could tell that the food was more fresh. They also had lots of vegetarian options. The menu has such a great selection & variety of different egg type meals. The service was good-they refilled our coffees several times and were attentive to their customers. We barely had to wait on a Saturday AM! They were on top of it even though it was busy! I love this place. The owner must be a navy retiree or loves the sea; the place is adorned with pictures of fisherman, knots, loops, fishets, mini boats. My boyfriend and I come here probably every couple months. It's not too crowded and we can always get a table. Try to get a table in the back or a bit way from the front door. Otherwise your food tends to get cold faster. My boyfriend is a vegetarian, so he gets the vegetarian chorizo and egg combo. We give the eggs to our litle one, along with some of our food and there is always a good portion. I usually get the cajun omlette. yum! The banana nut pancakes are good too. They are only open until 2pm. So this is definitely a breakfast, lunch or brunch place. Staff is alway friendly and helpful. read more

We decided to find a place in Long Beach to grab some breakfast and we came across the Omelette Inn. It's a small quaint place with outside seating that extended almost to the edge of the sidewalk. Atmosphere was great for nice relaxing morning breakfast. A few mimosa's added a nice touch to the overall breakfast. The coffee was above standard. And now for the food. We had several in our party, each with a different food selection. Everything was very fresh, healthy and very delicious. I bet it would be difficult to pick something that didn't taste great. I'd like to say that I eat healthy but the truth is that I love a wide range of flavors and my palette is eclectic... from spinach to chorizo. Which reminds me they even had soy chorizo. I'm sure it tasted great but there are some things you just don't mess with and chorizo is one of them, plus soy is on my "do not eat" list. The staff was very welcoming and tentative. The food doesn't really taste like anything.... We tried - the Carnaval (that's how it's spelled) omelette The chicken inside was horribly overcooked and dry. I couldn't taste anything in the omelette besides this terrible meat. When I took it out, the egg tasted better, but it still had no distinguishing flavor, which is odd, because it had sausage and shrimp in it. - the Florentine omelette This one was better with all the bacon inside, but that was the dominant flavor. On top was almost a half cup of sour cream. - hashbrowns No flavor or texture. - country potatoes Soft, overcooked, flavorless - French toast Standard. - banana nut and blueberry pancakes These were HUGE, but they had a tough texture. I couldn't cut through them with a fork, and I had trouble cutting through them with a knife. Neither one tasted like anything but pancake. - cranberry and orange muffin Tasted like a wet vanilla cupcake. NO orange or cranberry flavor. I could see colored pieces inside which related to orange and cranberry, but there was no resemblance to either of these ingredients. Complete waste of calories.... Service was good. read more

Great little place for breakfast. Very "homey" feel.. The omelette selection is fantastic, and they offer a ton of ingredients. I ordered the Carnaval (shrimp, Louisiana sausage, and chicken). Came out in about 10 minutes and was piping hot. A fluffy omelette stuffed with ingredients. I've had the breakfast burrito before too... Huge and very tasty for $6-7. If the food is not spicy enough for you they serve it with a great fresh homemade salsa with a kick. Service was good, I was seated immediately, and they checked on me often. Not many places around (that are not fast food) where you can get out well under $20 including tip for good, real food. Gonna be back to try some of their lighter options. read more

What can I say but "Mmm" so good. Every time we come we get Egg white omelettes with tomatoes, onions, spinach, and yes feta cheese, my husband adds avocado to his along with that we get the house potatoes no toast and when I tell you it's on! Believe me !! It's on like donkey kong. This is a very pleasant spot the atmosphere is nice, due to the pandemic they now have out door dining, how cool is that not far from the beach with the most incredible bunch of people who own and operate this family owned business. Ate lunch at the Omelette Inn Café on Pine Ave in Long Beach today with two lovely ladies. We had a Chicken Caesar Salad, a Cobb Salad, and a Breakfast Burrito with Sausage and Brown Rice on the side. And we split an order of Onion Rings, and still had some left over to take home. The eggs in the Breakfast Burrito were fresh and cooked light and fluffy. The two salads were very large and prepared with fresh vegetables. The onion rings were delicious: homemade with a tasty tempura batter. And the bill for 3 of us including drinks was only $49! Four great things about this restaurant: The servings are very generous, the ingredients are fresh and very tasty, and food is cooked "just right" which improves the flavor. And the service was excellent. Special requests do not upset these folks. Enjoy! read more

The egg was perfectly cooked. The omelette contained the perfect amount of toppings (black olives, green onions, and cheese). The toppings added great Italian flavor to every bite. I also ordered the pancakes--they were huge. They literally covered the whole plate. Price is a plus. Bill was under $30 for 3 entrees and coffee. Service was prompt. Could work on cleanliness and design/layout of the place. Could use a makeover but not at the expense of higher prices. I guess forget about the makeover. Keep making reasonably priced and quality breakfast. They also serve many lunch items in case not a breakfast fan. Have not tried lunch item (what is typically eaten for lunch). He suggested Coffee Cup and I said alright Bc I have never been there. So we drove there, got to the front and noticed a very long line. So, I was like no way, so we headed to Omelette Inn Instead. And good thing we did. As I step in, I noticed right away of the other customer foods. The huge pancake just looked delicious. I order the Cajun Salmon Omelette. The ordered came with a choice of hash brown and toast. I substituted the hash brown with fruits and ordered two blueberry pancake on the side. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fiesta Omelette with English muffin. When the food came out, everything just look wonderful. However I was disappointed with my Cajun salmon. I was expecting more flavor and it was just wasn't there. On the other hand, I had some of the chicken fiesta. That Omelette tasted awesome. The pancake was way awesome. It was fluffy, huge portion, and the blueberry were fresh. The only complaint I have about this place is the service. The waiters were nice and friendly but the wait time was a little long for the food and paying. They took forever to grab our check. My boyfriend went to used the restroom for a while and gotten back and still they didn't take our check. It wasn't until he said something. All in all, out of the breakfast I gone to, I have to say, this is my go to place for some yummy breakfast. read more

Food was great but they don't pay attention to the orders. I ordered the quesadilla breakfast platter with no olives and hash browns... I got a quesadilla WITH olives and potatoes. I was so hungry I didn't even want to be bothered waiting to find the waitress to correct it. Food was delicious but order was wrong. Wanted eggs benedict... but didn't want to wait outside in the sun for 30 mins. outside of my usual go-to diner on a Saturday. Decided to use our trusty ol' Yelp search engine... and found this place. Eggs Benedict were okay, nothing special, but they did the job. Lots of omelettes on the menu. Will have to update once having tried them. *** BUSSER ON THIS DAY SUCKED *** ... my side of the table was sticky (which I've read in previous reviews). Had to use my only napkin and my water to wipe it down since waiters are hard to catch. Also noticed empty creamers in the creamer bowl. Bussers should be much more thorough. Also witnessed two different couples being led to tables that were a disgusting mess, and both asked to be seated elsewhere. -1 star for this nonsense. NOT so crazy about is their "home fries." It was either that or hashbrowns, so I decided to go big and try their home fries. I really expected much more. They're really just skinned, largely diced, fried potatoes with what seemed like green peppers... aaaaand that's about as signature as it gets. They were very undercooked. Not even ketchup made them desirable. I left about 80% of them untouched. You get the picture. -1 star for their home fries. I would overall recommend this place, but need to try their omelettes next time. Hopefully their other plates might make up for their sad potatoes and lazy bussers. read more

Let me explain... the sign outside says sign your name. We waited for at least 3 minutes, then decided to walk in and figure out seating arrangements ourselves. We were handed menus, and told someone would be right with us. Again, we wait. This time about 5-6 minutes. No water, no silverware, not hi, not anything. While one server (Latina, with glasses, smirk, and attitude) passed our table a few times, had a conversation with a table about people passing by outside and still not a look in our direction. Then comes another server delivering food, makes eye contact, smiles, drops the food off and then comes to our table. She asked if we've been served, we said no, she apologized and said she thought the rude server had taken care of us. We advised no and apologized again. Within 1 minute, we have waters. Within 2 minutes, our order is taken. The rude server, in the meantime comes to the table literally next to us and gave her whole attention to the table. I will say this... IF MARISOL IS NOT WORKING, DONT EVEN BOTHER COMING IN. You'll get sh!t service! TRUST ME! If I could leave marisol 5 stars I would, but I had to warn of the rude girl. read more

The service here is amazing, I didn't get my servers name but she was the sweetest person ever. I ordered the chilaquiles, they were yummy but there was no sauce like traditional ones, just mixed with onion, cilantro and eggs. The pricing here is decent and the portion sizes are generous.
