Wait time was about 10 min on a Saturday around 430pm. Outside seating is nicely spaced and clean. They have space heaters!! Spicy rainbow is a popular dish but I would say it is not the best in their menu. It does have a taste of all the fish. Lion roll is pretty damn good and definitely something worth getting if you want a bit of spicy,a bit of acidity and a little crunch to your bite. Snow Cone Roll is a thick roll with sweetness, creamy, and crawfish! Top notch stuff. read more

Came here around 1pm and it wasn't super busy at that time. They seated our big party very quickly and took our orders within a reasonable time. After ordering, peoples food began to come out. A little while after, I was still waiting on my food and 15 minutes later we asked and they said they were working on it still. But then the waiter came back to me and told me that they forgot my food... everyone in my group finished their food by the time my baked salmon roll came out. The waiter was nice enough to offer me green tea icecream to make up for it. 2 stars for forgetting my food. The baked salmon roll was alright, the imitation crab inside tasted too creamy. By far my favourite sushi spots in town. Go there so often I might as well call myself a VIP there! One of the best and most important aspects of Omokase that beats out other sushi spots is the portions. The rice to fish ratio is amazing. Not too much rice, great amount of fish given too. They are generous and well priced. Not to mention the flavours and taste, you can tell they are well made/prepared. Each sushi type came with their own sauces. For example, the shrimp tempura roll came with unagi sauce, while others would include regular soy sauce or even their special teriyaki sauces. You could tell the flavours of the fish were pretty fresh and well prepared too, soooo good. Definitely worth going there. Been coming here for years, it's definitely one of my favorite spots to bring friends who've never had sushi. They have an amazing selection of cocktails alongside a pretty cool looking bar area. The service can be a hit or miss, but for the most part is adequate depending the staffing ratio and time of day you go. I think that it can be pricey here depending on what it is you like but might I say, it is worth it! It certainly isn't the MOST expensive sushi place. Portions are huge compared to other restaurants. I mean really, you have to be a pro with chopsticks to eat some of their delicious rolls. Flavor is usually there, but there has been a time or two where I found it lacking, but nothing where I wouldn't come back. This place is great. Perfect date night as well! read more

This is one of my favorite sushi spots in the IE!!! They do not have all you can eat options however their rolls are hearty and will definitely fill you up!! Came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was not to busy was immediately greeted when I walked in, upon sitting down I was greeted in less then 30 seconds and had my drink in less then 5 minutes. Sitting at the sushi bar is ALWAYS a must, I ordered directly with the chef and had my food in less then 10 minutes total.... who could ask for more?! Definitely stop by and check out this place great service and great food read more

phoned in a take-out order. Got home and the salmon roll was good but the marble lobster roll is trash. It's breaded mini shrimp over another sushi roll, and then topped with sauce. And they give you a lot because this food is garbage. read more

We had a very nice lunch here. The sushi was delicious and fresh. I tried the mackerel and albacore. Loved both. The I did a salmon skin roll. This was also very good. My wife did a bento box that came with sushi and a crunch roll. We were very pleased at the portions. Very flavorful. The service was good and always available. Nice ambiance as they had the game on their television. I know I will return. Loved my meal. But wear a sweater or eat outside. Their air conditioner certainly works. read more

Hands down my favorite sushi in the Inland Empire! Can't believe the large portion sizes of the sashimi and very well made rolls for under $70!!! For 2 people, we ordered the love boat and the chef made sure our dinner experience was beyond phenomenal! Thank you to all the staff who made us feel very welcome tonight! Every piece of sashimi was melt in your mouth and they were generous with the portion sizes. The house made spicy sweet sauce was perfect for dipping the fish. I rather use this than the soy sauce. The whole presentation was beautiful and Instagram worthy! Also, try their lunch menu! The best value for the buck that can't be found even in the OC area! I've come to this location multiple times and they have failed me every single time. The person taking my order was very impatient with me and the questions i was asking. If you do not have good customer service skills , DONT WORK A CUSTOMER SERVICE JOB. The food was meh and took about 40-50 minutes to come out. Initially had a very good first impression of Omokase because it was open late-ish on a Sunday. The food was decent Went again last night and was disappointed. Server told us sit anywhere you'd like as soon as we walked in. We the. Approached the bar and immediately the chef behind the counter said "NO! NO! NO!" to express that the car was closed. I didn't appreciate that as the first thing I hear after "sit wherever you'd like". It's fine that the bar was closed but there's a polite way to communicate with patrons. The food was served promptly but the some of the fish had gone bad. A few pieces of the salmon and yellowtail on top of the rolls tasted funny but we didn't think much of it at the time. The next day we both has food poisoning. It's unfortunate. I liked this place the first time but once I have a bad experience I never go back. read more

I came here on a lunch stop to escape the commotions of a crazy office environment thinking that having a nice lunch would help alleviate some of my stress. So being that I know food would make everything better I opted for sushi, I mean, who wants to spend $35+ on their lunch break (without alcohol) unless it's a decent dine in restaurant? Walked, greeted right away. That was good. Sat at the sushi bar of course (riding solo) and was asked for my beverage selection. 1 Star for the intro. Server take my order and I get my edamame within a few minutes and it's tasty. 1 Star for this. Now we get down to the carpaccio... it didn't say on the menu that the tuna was seared so it was kinda warm and I really wanted something cold and fresh. Meh... the edges tasted like beef jerky but the rest was lacking flavor. Andddd I don't want my fish to taste like BEEF JERKY so what's going on? But then again, this isn't Japanese sushi now is it? :| As I struggle to work through the carpaccio I get my crispy rice W/spicy tuna... I figured since I'm new here I'd try one new dish (the carpaccio) and one popular, nobody can mess it up, common appetizer (mind you this should've been out first but it's ok) and boy was it difficult to eat! They really can help us out by splitting the 3 pieces into 4. I mean, it's the same amount of food just spread it out a little. Ok but flavor was good! So here we are with the 3rd star. Reason for -2 stars was because the menu should specify when tuna is seared and (big one) after I sat down the music in the place started blasting with terrible hip hop music. The food here is good. I haven't been back in years, I found my review while looking. I remember a good experience here and yesterdays dining reminded me this is one of the good places in IE for Japanese food. There's plenty of parking in this plaza and it wasn't as busy on a Sunday because I think people forget or don't know about the restaurant since it doesn't share a parking lot with any big stores. I think there's one other catering business attached to it called Gina's or something. We were seated right away and I ordered the mussels, the fried tofu, salmon collar, sashimi, caterpillar roll. Everything was delicious, even the caterpillar roll, which I'm not typically a fan of eel. Sashimi was exceptional. Only complaint would be the hot tea. Almost $5 for a cup?! Ignore then tea and have the fish and everything else here. So very good. read more

Randomly picked this restaurant from Yelp for quick lunch in between appointments. I looked for Omakase menu but turn out this restaurant not offering Omakase because the name of The restaurant is actually Omokase.....that's cute! Lol! I ordered Chirashi Bowl instead. Chirashi Bowl had real fresh ingredients. Two separate bowls were provided. One with garnished Rice, seaweed, taco salad, and radish; the other bowl had the fish, Kani, Sweet egg, etc above a thin layer of ice to keep the right cool temperature. Hope you enjoy yours. If it were just the food that was awesome I would say you are missing a whole lot of the picture here,, this place has above and beyond service for starters they have a "carpaccio " plate that allows you to see exactly how fresh the fish is, I love this and some chef's will allow you to try 2 of each type for four different fish (some will not) either way try it just for the garlic sauce it's awesome, I had to try some of the "do not leave without trying" rolls which left me happily stuffed then the chef brings out a sampler ,,, on the house !! you'll love the ambiance This is a Must Go sushi house.. tell them the guy with the Iron Man car sent you read more

My wife and I started Omokase with the idea of creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere where people can enjoy good food and cold drinks. Our most memorable experiences have come while eating and drinking with friends, family and colleagues, and we wanted to create an environment where people can really have a great time creating new memories! With absolutely no restaurant experience, we had a challenging first few months getting the business going. But with the help of great employees and understanding customers, we were able to survive and get to the point we are today. 4 years and counting... The Lanai is located in the Cravings food court area at The Station shopping center in Eastvale. There is plenty of parking available. We went inside to the Shuck Oyster bar and entered The Lanai from there. It is actually more of a tiki patio than an enclosed tiki bar. However, the tiki décor is great with plenty of bamboo, carved tiki figures, hanging puffer fish, tiki style signs, and many tropical accents. There are overhead fans spaced around in case it is hot outside. We had one round of drinks and several appetizers. The coconut shrimp and lightly battered Shishito peppers were great and the sauces paired well. We have had these appetizers at Stowaway before and they had the same good quality. She ordered the spicy tofu bites. I'm not usually a fan of tofu, but they were surprisingly really good. I had the Adrian's Mistake cocktail which was well balanced and a little on the strong side. She had the Right Of Passage which was good and had a light fruit flavor and you could definitely taste the mango. The one man show Brandon took great care of us. It was slow at this time of day so we got a chance to chat with him quite a bit and service was fast. They have a weekday happy hour from 4pm to 6pm. Although we didn't specifically order off the happy hour menu, three of our items, including both cocktails were part on it. I give it 4.3 stars but rounded up to five stars. I'm sure the ambience is much better in the evening when it more lively and dark outside. They have a good variety of munchies, and the cocktail menu has a good mix of tiki classics and some originals. I don't think there any many tiki bars in this area, so I hope they do well.

With Diane in tow, we were pleased that a large parking lot was directly across the street from the restaurant. Throughout the course of the meal we received excellent multi-person service, led by our principal server, Marie. We expect to return for more of that wonderful Sea Bass. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. One of my favorite spots for lunch and happy hour. The lunch combos are ridiculously cheap...I get the sashimi, sushi and spicy tuna roll combo, which comes with miso soup, rice and salad, for around $12. Unlike some other sushi places, the fish they use for the lunch combos is fresh...I sat at the sushi bar a couple times and saw them cut the fish in front of me. Their drink specials are pretty good for happy hour....not too crowded for some reason. My favorite thing is that they chill their beer glasses, so the beer is always cold. pretty good selection of Japanese beer on tap. This place has a crazy selection of rolls. My favorite is the Genki roll, which has salmon, california roll and eel. Doesn't sound that great, but it is DELICIOUS. I usually get the same 3 or 4 rolls whenever I order rolls separately...I should venture out and try the others, but I like sticking to what I know. The staff is generally good, though it is spotty at times when it gets busy. I usually sit at the sushi bar, so my food comes out faster than sitting at the tables. The staff is friendly though not everyone is knowledgeable. Some servers are better than others. Like other reviewers mentioned, TVs are always on some kind of sports. That's a good thing for me since I love sports, but it can get kind of loud in there when there are customers at the bar. Overall, a good dining experience. read more

I have been going to Omokase since they opened. I used to go to Ken's but I was tired of the high prices and the attitude from the chefs. There motto was "I make it you like it". No Options. Dono sushi was also a regular stop but again the long wait to sit down to the long wait for your food was ridiculous. Omokase's staff is awesome. When we walk in they remember who you are and the things you like to eat & drink. Jo Jo is our favorite & Sean behind the bar is on top of his game. Happy hour is the best in town with food & drink specials that keep you coming back. I can go to Omokase and have better quality food and have more cocktails then I can have at Buffalo Wild Wings for half of the price. You just can't beat it. If you are confused about what you would like to order, just order the Omokase combo platter. You get a lot of food for a great price. My only disappointment is that the chefs do not serve oysters very often. If you have not tried Omokase Sushi yet, then you are missing out. Not sure why there aren't more 1 star ratings for this so called sushi restaurant. To start we waited about 10 minutes to be seated when the restaurant was less than half full. A few waiters came by and didn't even acknowledge us. Just as we were about to leave someone finally said hello and took us to our table. The menu is super dirty and outdated with some dishes no longer available. The waiter literally had to ask the "chef" if they had five of the dishes we wanted. All was no... Food came out super fast but as soon as we took our first bite we knew why this place looks the way it does. Almost all roll ratio was 60% imitation crab wit mayo (a lot of mayo!) 30% rice and the rest was the main ingredients. They have a few dishes they add a lot of toppings but the quality is very bad. Don't be fooled by the picture. Mediocre sushi with lazy employees who don't know the menu. If you dare to waste your money here just make sure you don't sit by the front desk. Typically, I prefer to stick to pure sushi dishes rather than rolls or other items, as I appreciate the simplicity and freshness of raw seafood. Despite being located in the IE, this establishment offers some of the finest sushi in town. Maybe not the most authentic sushi in California but most definitely delicious and very fresh. I like what they are doing and really had a great time here. I stuck with rolls because that's what I crave. I had the baked spicy lobster, the genii roll, and the ichiban roll. All were really really fresh and well made. I like a little spicier wasabi. I know to eat sushi correctly they say you are not supposed to mix the wasabi into the soi sauce right? That's the only way I do it though. I mix it all up and I love it when it just makes my whole head real like its going to burst from the wasabi lol. Although this sushi spot isn't an all-you-can-eat place, the quality of the food definitely makes up for it. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted fresh and flavorful. The sushi was well-prepared with a nice balance of rice and fish, and the rolls had a great variety of textures and flavors. The service was excellent -- the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out in a timely manner. As for the atmosphere, it was decent -- nothing overly fancy, but comfortable enough to enjoy a nice meal. They serves excellent local sushi at a welcoming establishment with a neat and peaceful dining space. The baked rolls stood out as the best part of our meal because the Norman and Hungry rolls delivered fresh and flavorful experiences. The prices at this restaurant match the quality standards but some items seemed a bit too expensive. I ordered over the phone and paid with my credit card and was told that I could pick up my order in 15-20 minutes. I waited and waited 52 minutes and my order wasn't done. This was after I left a $9 tip. Still waited for this order... I left, because I had a flight to catch and couldn't wait. I've been here a few times and have always had decent service, and good sushi. Prices are fair as well. The crunchy dragon roll is awesome! And their baked green muscles are OK (a bit over baked ). Their bar drinks on the other hand were dreadful. I've never seen anyone or place butcher a margarita like the did. My sister's bar drink was pretty bad as well. We maxed out all the limited items, which was very generous, however, I wasn't sure of how many rounds were available, or how many pieces total were going to be included in the limited items, so we ended up with a LOT of nigiri. Our service was great, but spotty at several times. I loved all the nigiri items, especially the peppered salmon, ikura, and halibut. I'd pass on the red clam nigiri, and the fried appetizers as they were big portions but very filling! Delicious melt in your mouth pieces of yellowtail and salmon were the highlights for me. My friends enjoyed their unagi, and our friend's daughter enjoyed all the cooked items. Overall, I could say I understand the appeal of the restaurant!

Sizzling plates used to be THE big thing in the early and mid 2000s with lots of boba places having them as as specialty (RIP Coffee Break and MJ's Tea House), but now aside from a handful of businesses and Pepper Lunch, they're much more rare. Glad that the IE has Sizzlin' Place as one of their sizzling plate heavy hitters. Aside from the sizzling plates, they have other menu items including fried appetizers, soup and dried noodles, and sides like fries and takoyaki, but if you're going to a sizzling plate place, you gotta get a sizzling plate, you know? That's decorum. Service is welcoming and friendly, and efficient in the safest way possible with the scorching hot plates. Seating can get limited due to the nature of the meal, but I've never had an issues the times I chose to eat here. Ambiance can be relaxed and chill when the Haven City Market isn't busy, but during weekends or rush hour, it can get a bit hectic and there may be a bit of a wait. A staple that you can never go wrong with is the hot plate beef and if you're a carnivore or if you're sharing, you have to upsize and upgrade it. The slices of beef here are just slightly thicker than what I'm used to at Pepper Lunch, but that just means it'll shrink less and get less stuck on the hot plate as well. You get a hearty serving of rice with some corn on top, pepper, and green onions. Like other sizzling plate places, you can always get pasta or udon instead of rice, if you're feeling a bit more adventurous. Super hot, filling meal that's easy to eat. Not the most flavorful sometimes, at least with what I order, and in comparison to other competitors, but hits the spot when need be.

You actually get a good balance of fish in every bite. The staff is always friendly, attentive and makes you feel welcome every time. For the quality you get, the price is hard to beat. Some of our favorite items to order include the Golden Cali Roll, Alaskan Roll, and Crunch Roll. The Alaskan Roll is notably my favorite of the three.
