We tried their porterhouse for 2 with brandy peppercorn crust and peppercorn sauce on the side! Steak was cooked to our liking and the peppercorn sauce complemented the steak but would prefer without the crust we added. Ambiance was really elegant and staff were accommodating and well-informed. We chose to sit at the bar because we enjoy the chats we have with other patrons & the bartenders. Our bartender was completely dismissive of us but was very invested in his friends which he rushed us through ordering so he could walk them to their uber. The burger was overcooked (asked for medium rare, got medium well). Lettuce was still wet making the whole sandwich soggy. Fries were cold. Conversation with bartender was very punctual. I am really disappointed to be giving this rating. But I have eaten at so many high in Steakhouse is that it's unavoidable One Steakhouse was supposed to be the culmination of my birthday weekend and it was the most disappointing eating experience we had. They avoid a one star review by a couple of dishes that were really good. The Caprese salad with toasted almonds was delicious and one of the more unique tastes I've had this year. It was definitely worth the price. The lobster mac & cheese was scrumptious, creamy and delicious, but a little stingy on the lobster. I ordered béarnaise sauce with my steak and it came out ice cold. They gave me a garlic crust on my filet mignon, but it didn't cover the entire steak. Ruth Chris delivers a sizzling steak, but this one was not fresh off that pass. Additionally, the reason why this place really deserves a one star for me on this occasion is the service we spent over $300 for service and I've been treated better at Denny's. Despite my husband making reservations, they tried to seat us in the bar area right next to the door, where everyone was screaming and shouting at a sporting event he insisted that we get a table in the dining room, and they finally acquiesced. Once in the dining room, it's still a noisier than normal experience, but I am not totally put off by that. There was a lot of back-and-forth over the seating arrangement despite the room not being half-full. It took 10 minutes to get a menu. Oh, and when I got a menu, I had to ask for a wine menu, which took another few minutes to recover. We noticed tables around us receiving bread, and we asked about it. Our waiter told we had to make a special request for the complementary bread. Imagine if we weren't paying attention. We just would've gotten nothing. I guess it just doesn't make any sense. All the other high-end places bring out the bread within a few minutes of sitting without a fuss, even after requesting the bread, it took another 10 minutes. Finally, this was a generic conveyor belt experience. There was nothing special about it. I was celebrating my birthday and the only acknowledgment was a happy birthday from the hostess. I'm used to going to places where they put confetti on the table, give you a rose, a card, a complementary drink, or dessert. Heck Morton's even takes your photo, but here nada. Las Vegas is plush with high in five star dining experiences in the steakhouse category. This place simply does not measure up. I need a birthday redo. read more

The music is nice and upbeat. For my first drink , I'm having a BARREL AGED OLD FASHIONED made with Knob Creek Bourbon , Solerno Blood Orange , Cherry Heering and Angostura Bitters. It tastes just perfectly! I like the barrel-aged bourbons. However, they don't use a single, large ice cube! I'm told they just don't do Old Fashioneds that way. I can respect that. For my appetizer, I'm having the OVEN ROASTED CRAB CAKE made with herb tartar and shaved fennel. This came out quick. That is a big ass crab I cake! It tastes real good ! They can certainly cook ‍ here! For my salad , I'm having the CHOPPED SALAD made with grilled (slightly spicy ) tiger shrimp , artichokes, hearts of palm, white beans, Castelvetrano olives , green beans, pepperoncini and a basil vinaigrette dressing. This came out quick! It looks great. This is real good! It tastes different than anything I've ever had. The pepperoncini adds just a bit of heat . I love the dressing. For my next drink , I'm having the CHICAGO WAY (Barrel Aged) made with Knob Creek Rye Bourbon (sand as the last drink , which is rare for me), Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth, Angostura Orange Bitters and Bitter Queens Sarsaparilla Bitters. This is a "Manhattan" in disguise. This is very good ! For my entrée, I'm having a 6 Oz FILET MIGNON (cooked medium). It is served with a delicious onion and a piece of rosemary. One Steakhouse didn't excite us on our visit, but we decided to give them a second try. I left with the same thoughts- great service, but none of the food thrilled us. I've been to a lot of steakhouses in town and this wouldn't be at the top of my list. A major draw to One Steakhouse is last minute availability. We couldn't decide where to go and there weren't many same day options for 6pm. We even had a comfortable, plush booth in the bar area with a last minute reservation. The restaurant is a little on the dark side. They have cool glass birds on the ceiling. We've now dined in the lounge and dining room which are both pretty basic versus the swank of most Strip steakhouses. The service on both visits has been great. Our servers have been friendly and the food doesn't take long to come out. The service is definitely on par with most steakhouses with waters constantly being refilled and dirty plates cleared quickly. The complimentary bread was delicious again. It was warm with a firmer cheese crust on the bottom. The butter oil dip was yummy with the warm bread. Last time we ordered the Tomahawk so I wanted to order my usual Filet. I went with a six ounce and my husband ordered the eight ounce. We agreed that they were okay steaks, but not what we expect at a steakhouse. They weren't overly tender or buttery. I knew it wasn't going to be awesome when they brought steak sauce and seasoning without it being requested. My measure of a good steak is that it should be perfection without sauces or adding anything. The Lobster Mac and Cheese side was my favorite of the four I've had here. It was creamy and delicious. The Creamed Corn had a nice flavor, but the texture would better be described as clumped. Last time I didn't love the Mashed Potatoes and I didn't like the Gnocchi at all. Honestly a let down. Interesting how the reviews are so good but the food here is very mediocre. I understand that they do large party reservations so that was nice, but my party ordered appetizers and mostly steaks, and a majority of the steaks were salty. The potato gratin and the rigatoni appetizers were surprisingly decent however. On the other hand, i ordered the tomahawk medium rare, and it came out very chewy and inedible. It was disappointing, and they don't have complimentary dessert for celebration. Came here for my birthday dinner and left feeling a little bit disappointed. They have the regular restaurant in the first floor, but up the stairs and there's another level that's great for private events! The food was served family style for the event, but everything was very good! I definitely want to come during a regular dinner service to try more food. We came here on a Saturday - our reservation was for 7:30pm and we were seated promptly. We were seated at a booth as requested on our reservation. Bread was fresh, average nothing extra special about it. I ordered the rack of lamb and initially was told that I could not substitute the creamed spinach with mushrooms due to an issue with portions. We requested to speak to the Manager - Dustin clarified that the side of each dish is created by the chef so that the dish can be enjoyed at its fullest, however, they are able to substitute the side. I am glad that they were able to. It was cooked perfectly (ordered medium rare), tender and juicy. The mushrooms were delicious. My boyfriend ordered the scallops and they were likewise cooked perfectly and scrumptious . We ordered a side of the Mac & cheese which was flavorful but not overpowering. For dessert we ordered the banana fosters cheesecake which was excellent and strawberry sorbet (comes in 2 scoops) which was likewise yummy. Ambiance - depending on where you are seated in the dining room, the noise from the bar/front area may be a little loud, thus, seating towards the back may be less noisy. Well lit with nice simple decor. Highly recommend making reservations. Filet arrived grey in color, clearly not fired on a grill and crust was overpowering, rating 5/10. All sides are ala carte so we ordered potato's au gratin, and sautéed mushrooms. Potatos were overpowered with panko crust and again, warm at best scoring 2/10. Mushrooms were okay and scored 6/10. Friend chose carrot cake $18 and again, super disappointing with an odd flavor we couldn't identify. The highlight of the meal was the Oregon Pinot Noir but it was pricey at $24/glass. Server obviously noted we didn't eat much of the meal but didn't inquire on quality. With gratuity meal total was $310 and an overall disappointing experience. read more

Happy hour was great! One of the best drinks "key lime" I've had in a long time. Also the sliders were fantastic with grilled little buns and the calamari was not at all greasy. Excellent! My husband also liked the crab cakes. Great place to get some small bites to hold you over for some more Vegas exploring before needing to eat again. And great way to save some money but still get a nice atmosphere and experience. Was told by the waitress their main menu is something we should check out as well but for us the happy hour prices and amount of food was more our style. The attached pics aren't the best as the restaurant is low lighting and I didn't wanna annoy people with too much flash. Happy hour is in the bar area which is small and the restaurant is directly behind it kind of blocked off by a wall with little openings ( tough to explain lol So apparently this review was held in my drafts for a very long time - Back when it was called MB and was in the Hard Rock. I don't say this lightly that this was one of the best steaks and dining experiences I've ever had in my life. The service was unbelievable. So attentive, fast, friendly, and welcoming. We had a reservation here before the U2 concert on 10/14. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating even asking us if we were on a tight schedule (which we were) so they could ensure fast service. The tomahawk steak to share was so delicious! we also shared a Caesar salad and side of potatoes which was decadent and to die for. This is the most vibrant steakhouses I've ever seen, definitely sets a fun vibe for a birthday or celebratory dinner. Or just "the Vegas experience." We stayed at this hotel with the intentions of dining at Nobu. (My sis and I don't eat meat) but they were closed for a corporate event. Thankfully, One Steakhouse (from the Morton's steakhouse family) had some late dinner reservations open, and plenty of seafood options on the menu, so we enjoyed her birthday dinner in a giant booth with champagne, oysters, the scallop appetizer (which served as our entree), complimentary cheese bread, and a decadent slice of chocolate birthday cake and candles. Service was good, but as a few other reviews mentions, it seemed a bit rushed. And they weren't event half full. It also felt as though our server was irritated we didn't order too much food - but we are two tiny 5'2 women who don't eat like the average Vegas tourist (sorry!). Plus, we wanted to go "out" after, and you can't do that while in a food coma. P.S. Almost all the sides and salads have cheese, butter, or dairy, so it's not vegan-friendly (go figure, it's a steakhouse, y'all) or for diners looking for some lighter options. read more

We did make reservations prior and they were able to accommodate. It wasn't as busy when we got there but as we were almost done, it started to get crowded. Tables are separated. And there is the back side to sit people. Options for steak, seafood and drinks. We pretty much got a lot of appetizers which some photos came out blurry so I didn't post it up. This restaurant I would consider fine dining. It is very pricey, and portions are usually small. Food was super great though. I got the surf and turf waygu and lobster which they allowed me to substitute because it originally came with crab. We got popcorn shrimp and calamari so there are options for kids to eat along with mash potatoes. The servers are awesome! Refilled water literally once you're out, food came out so quick. Everyone is friendly and even if you're not their table and they think you need something they pass by to help you. Never had service like this before. read more

I have not been to many steakhouses in Las Vegas...just a few, like STK at the Cosmo, N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms, Del Friscos, Gordon Ramsay STEAK, Top of the World at the Strat, etc. ONE Steakhouse at the Virgin Hotel is by far my favorite. On our last trip to Vegas, we stayed the majority of the time at ARIA, but for the first night, a Saturday night, I booked a room at Virgin just so we could walk from our room to this restaurant. It's rather small, as most steakhouses go, but it's beautiful and so far everything we have tried, from food to drinks has been outstanding. I love the smoked cocktails they typically have on their drink menu. And for appetizers, the French Onion soup is the best I've ever had. Prices are great too...nothing is obnoxiously overpriced like some other places. We most definitely will come back. read more

I really, really, really wanted to have a great experience at One Steakhouse. Based on the reviews I figured it would be. Unfortunately, this visit fell very short of my expectations. 1. There was a dog in the restaurant. I understand there isn't much the restaurant can do with ADA laws, but come on people. The dog was barking in the restaurant. 2. They do not enforce the dress code. 3. One of the steaks we ordered was severely undercooked. The main thing here is the steak that was undercooked. When paying $100 a steak the steak should come out cooked perfectly. My girlfriend ordered medium and I ordered medium rare, her steak came out more rare than mine. It had essentially been seared and then plated. The inside was still cool to the touch. We sent it back - a few minutes later the steak came back out medium rare, but definitely still on the rare side. Very disappointing. At this point my girlfriend just kept the steak and ate what was cooked enough for her. The dog barking was irritating, but again, not much the restaurant can do. Dress code - don't have one in place if you won't enforce it. I'd rather wear shorts and a t shirt - which is clearly acceptable here. My steak on the other hand was amazing. It was buttery soft and cooked perfectly. I got the peppercorn crust and it enhanced the quality meat that much more. We got two sides, mushrooms and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were nothing I'd order again - they did not taste fresh. Mushrooms were decent. The real winner of the meal was the octopus. Highly recommend it. We were completely blown away eating at this restaurant. I was craving seafood so we ordered the seafood tower which comes with king crab, various oysters and lobsters! Hubby ordered a whiskey and we couldn't believe the whiskey ice that had their logo "ONE" within the ice! We've never seen anything like it and we were just blown away. They have great attention to detail at this restaurant. Now to the food, I ordered the scallops and it was cooked perfectly with some green sauce topped off with some tasty japanese mushrooms. I didn't think the japanese mushrooms would make a difference but it was bursting with flavor eating it with the scallops. If I come back again, I would seriously just stick to seafood even if it's a steakhouse. It was that good! We also ordered the rib-eye and added the option of the peppercorn crust and we shouldn't have done that because it was layered on pretty thick. The steak was cooked perfectly and we didn't need that added crust. The lobster mac was okay... I didn't really care for the type of pasta. It's not like Ruth's Chris where it's creamy and the texture of the pasta just didn't go well. I wouldn't order that again. Creamy spinach was awesome. Been following this place with the involvement of the Morton brothers. ThisAAaiteration of their steak house is on point. A small venue within the Virgin Hotel, with some interesting decor with its wall textures and art. The service was terrific. Food was presented well and had great flavor. Loved the bread, a Rosemary and cheese "pot" like bread with a melted butter dip was very good. Each course was delicious. I truly enjoyed the presentation of the carrot cake, it truly was unlike anything I've seen. (4 star review given as a patron of the restaurant I had a view of the kitchen where the dishes were being washed. A bit awkward to take away from the ambiance of the restaurant.) Wow. One may just be THE ONE and only steakhouse we go to in LV from now on. I have to be honest...we had our doubts but it was the only steakhouse that wasn't fully booked and we had a birthday to celebrate. So, we made the reservation and have zero regrets. The food was phenomenal. I am still salivating thinking about the amazing side of mushrooms. Sound simple but hands down better than any other mushroom side anywhere else. the food here was really tasty. and while the FOH staff was courteous enough, the manager was very unapologetic and lacking the hospitality that i had expected from a higher end restaurant. i get better service from cpk than here. i booked this reservation well in advance, and received countless email reminders as well as open table reminders about the res and about the day of and etc. and NONE of these correspondences or even the website, mentioned anything about us having to pay a ridiculous $80 fee for parking in the hotel!! if we knew parking was going to be $80, we wouldve parked else where, or not even come at all. and while the FOH staff seemed very apologetic, when the manager finally came around to talk to us about it, all he said was sorry and he had no control over parking prices. the point is not for you to control the pricing, the point is to properly communicate such things to your guests who are traveling to your restaurant from elsewhere. and again, if i had this issue at cpk i can guarantee you they would have been more apologetic and wouldve comp'd us an app or dessert just to show how sorry they were for our inconvenience. but no, for a high end restaurant with these kinds of prices for food, they couldnt even offer to comp us a simple $20 app/dessert. unreal. so while the food was good. i would never eat here again unless i stayed at this hotel FOOD (5 stars) iceberg salad was very crunchy and basically like a wedge salad. lobster bisque, though smaller in portion, was super tasty. it was also on the thicker side so i used it to dip my bread in, and that was yummers. alaskan crab pasta was really good. on the richer side, but with a lot of chunks of meat filet was good too. tender and well seasoned. and though they give you some seasonings on the side, the steak didnt need any of it. for sides we got the mac and cheese, which i felt would have been better with a smaller pasta and not cavatappi, i also did not see any lobster meat. and we got the mushrooms, which were also on the creamy side but really good too. all in all for food i would eat all of these things again. the dishes were really well done DRINKS (2 stars) i had a seasonal strawberry drink, which would have been better if it wasnt so tart. it needed a little more sugar my friends had some old fashioneds and there was no consistency between the drinks (the were ordered at separate times) so we do not recommend the drinks here read more

I completely understand why they are rated so high. The food was simplistic but yet stunning. The quality is to die for. I am a local and will be coming back to try more of the menu. Live music and a full bar can never go wrong! The service was great they knew what I needed before I did. My drink was never empty. read more

So it was a lazy Sunday afternoon and after doing some work throughout the day, I had ended up on a binge for watching some food shows which kept throwing steak onto the screen. After my first hour of watching all these steak preparations, I took it as a sign that I was meant to have a nice cut of beef for my Sunday evening meal. I did a quick search and found that One Steakhouse had availability and decided to book a table for the evening. I had been meaning to try this place but always feel like it's a bit of a "hike" from the strip to get to the virgin hotel even though it really isisnt. I drove over and parked and met my companion for the evening promptly at opening time. We were greeted immediately and seated for our reservation. They seated us in the "lounge area" which I felt a bit interesting for a steak dinner but the chairs were comfy enough. The joint has a pretty full bar so it will meet the needs for most people. After perusing the menu, my companion and I decided to order the Classic onion soup, The Double porterhouse (sliced for two), the lobster mac and cheese, and the potato gratin. They offer bread for the tables as a starting so you can expect that off the bat. The French onion soup was out first and solid. The flavors were addictive and it wasn't just "salty" and overpowering. Definitely pleased with the French onion soup. The porterhouse came out quickly after cooked to the requested medium rare along with the two sides. The Potato gratin was delicious and the scalloped texture of the potatoes were well made with the gruyere. The lobster mac and cheese with the cavatappi pasta was also delicious with generous chunks of lobster on top. The porterhouse was presented well, sliced, off the bone. The meat was good and the seasoning was done well. The cook and cut wasn't the best I had but it is no slouch by any means. This is a fun spot to add to the rotation and I actually liked that the hotel itself is away from the strip as it felt a bit more private than the carnivals I feel like im attending when going to a steakhouse on the strip. Definitely worth checking out as it will compete with any of the good steakhouses in vegas. read more

The vibe here is so cool. Bar in the front seating for restaurant in the back and front. Our server was excellent so personable and friendly. We tried the crab cake, crispy tiger shrimp, the onion soup, potato gratin, the surf and turf and filet. The crab cakes had wonderful flavor and I could have probably ate 3 myself. The onion soup was classic I finished it to the bottom! The potatoes could use a little more flavor but we're still good. The crispy tiger shrimp disappeared so fast because they were so good and the sauce it came with was tasty too. I'm not a shrimp eater and I had a handful as well. we are definitely coming back to eat here again. The filet was very good but I'd recommend to get the peppercorn topping it's just that much better. read more

Grabbed a early reservation with Valerie (super friendly hostess) as we were staying the weekend to go to WWWY. THIS RESTAURANT WAS AMAZING!!!! We got there at opening and was escorted to our table. The vibe and decor of the restaurant was modern feeling with these scenes inside of glass containers. Our waiter Kurt was amazing! His service impeccable a great mix of laidback and professional. Off-Strip quality with Strip pricing. While nothing was particularly bad about my overall experience here, there was only a few exciting points with my meal. My steak was excellent, it had all the usual notes of a good ribeye by being juicy, cooked perfectly at my requested medium-rare, tender, with lots of meaty and fatty flavor. I ended my meal with a tasty carrot cake and it was massive, to which I had to take home and finish later. I enjoyed my wedge salad as a starter, there was a lot of contrasting flavors and textures that played off each other; the pickled onions was a welcoming non-traditional addition. However my premium priced lobster mac and cheese didn't have any noticeable lobster in it. The shrimp cocktail I got was rubbery and dry. While I enjoyed my steak it was on the smaller side for a ribeye, especially for the price. I can name a number of notable off-Strip steakhouses that have cheaper ribeyes with the same quality and flavor, and having a comparable or bigger size. Most of my sides were unforgettable; I asked for my brussels sprouts to be swapped for the creamed spinach. I didn't know the brussels sprouts would be just sautéed and then drowned in a sweet sauce, ultimately making them soggy; I'm used to most steakhouse brussels sprouts to be crispy and charred. I'll definitely come back here, but I will stick to the cheaper steaks and sides; only a few of the dishes I ordered was notable for the price I paid. read more

The filet mignon was flavorful but a little dry. They did serve it with a steak sauce, which we used. But we normally don't eat a good steak with any sauce. The gnocchi was the BOMB. Husband couldn't get enough of it. Broccolini side was a tad bit too vinegary. Asparagus was perfectly cooked and flavored. Service was great. Server recommended a wine that went perfectly with the meal. They had live music playing that night (somebody singing), so that was nice touch. Overall we had a good experience. Delicious food and dessert! One Steakhouse is a great fine-dining restaurant to go for fast and friendly service. Located inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, they offer various seatings at the bar, there's also high top and a lovely lounge with comfy swivel chairs. The hostess Andrea was so kind, I was immediately seated and given complimentary water. Their entire menu is accessible online. They offer a good selection of appetizers, salad, steak and seafood, an extensive wine list, signature cocktails and desserts. The Caesar Salad ($18) is really good and portions are enough for one person. It has fresh crisp romaine lettuce with light dressing topped with shaved Parmesan and crunchy golden croutons. They offer to add fresh ground pepper and I was really pleased! The black pepper on Parmesan made it very tasty. Salad with Crispy Tiger Shrimp ($26) was delicious! Tiger shrimp has fried parsley in the mix and it's served with fresh lemon, a side of spicy cherry pepper aioli and sweet chili cilantro sauce, so good! The Oven Roasted Crab Cake ($26) is tender, moist and very filling, it's topped with shaved fennel and prepared over a generous serving of creamy herb tartar. Dessert is a must, the Triple Chocolate Cake ($18) is magnificent! This delightful cake is so light and airy, it has three layers, a smooth and creamy mousse of white chocolate and milk chocolate prepared on top of a delicious dark chocolate Oreo crust. It's super yummy with fresh chocolate curls and blackberries, this was an amazingly rich and decadent treat. Overall service from Fernando was exceptional and outstanding! I appreciate his professionalism, he's very courteous, polite, and efficient. Fernando made my dining experience so pleasant and welcoming. We stopped in to check out the casino here. Being from CT and regulars at Mohegan Sun, we wanted to check out their Las Vegas property. We decided to eat here before our late flight home. It was amazing! Lets just start with the chairs! Comfy, upholstered, swivel chairs. So comfortable but not too low for the table. Fernando greeted us promptly with menus and drink options. My husband tried a signature drink and loved that they use 1 giant ice cube in a metal goblet. His drink stayed cool, but didn't get watered down. Once drinks were decided he brought over a sample of their steaks. Showing us the size and marbling of each. He answered any questions we had. We started with a ceasar salad and the gulf shrimp. My husband really enjoyed the shrimp. He loved the sauce. My ceasar had a bit too much dressing, but the fresh parmasean and croutons made up for it. The homemade bread brought to the table was like nothing we've ever had. Rosemary bread, I think. We ate the whole loaf. We both ordered the filet mignon with a shared side of mashed potatoes. The potatoes may as well been homemade at Thanksgiving! But the filets were absolutely the star of the dinner. They were cooked perfectly. I have never had a steak practically melt in my mouth. It was like I didn't need to chew it. They also added side bowls of seasoning, sea salt, and steak sauce. It wasn't needed. It was the best dinner, in my opinion, that we had all week. My husband tied it with Hell's Kitchen (I thought it was better.) We had no room for dessert, although the baked alaska and chocolate cake sounded divine. Fernando gave amazing service and conversation. He never made us feel rushed or an inconvenience. Every server that passed us refilled our water glasses. All perfectly friendly and welcoming. We hadn't planned on eating here and we weren't dressed for a fancy place, nor are we used to eating out at fancy places. But not once did we feel out of place. We came in for drinks last night with an old friend who had just performed at the Theater in Virgin Hotel Las Vegas. This restaurant/bar is a short walk away within the hotel and has beautiful blue lighting over the whole ceiling which made for a nice atmosphere. Great date night location. Our bartender was very friendly and provided prompt drink service. I'll definitely come back soon to try the dinner menu. read more
