Oni Ramen is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Dallas -- i mentioned it before but to this day it still beats some of my ramen favorites back in LA! It's a must, every time I'm in town, and I always make sure to bring friends so they can experience it too. The ramen here is incredibly flavorful without being too heavy -- rich, balanced, and deeply satisfying. My personal favorite is the Oni Ramen -- the spice level is just right, enhancing the broth's depth instead of overpowering it. Pro tip: get the spice on the side so you can adjust it to your liking. Every flavor I've tried has been great, and if you're feeling fancy, you can customize your bowl with extra toppings for a little more. Between the delicious ramen, friendly service, and consistent quality, Oni Ramen is a total gem and an easy 5 stars from me!

order too salty to me. and they didn't even cut soft eggs in half. pricing is gouchy plus not based on the quality. The soup was mixed like a charcoal and ingredients. i dont like the smell of it and looks unhealthy. also noodles not special, just like general one and not even the one japanese do for ramen. what a laugh

As our first time here, we ordered at the kiosk. As stated by other commenters if you order at the kiosk be prepared to be ignored by staff. We ordered, Gyozas, the Light Assari and the Oni Reaper ramen. The Gyozas were cold. The Light Assari had no flavor and tasted watered down. Oni Reaper was not any better the meat tasted spoiled, and was being masked by the chili oil. When brought to the attention of the girl at the cash register. She said there wasn't anything she could do about it since we ordered at the kiosk and we would have to pay for another bowl. Unacceptably behavior. Especially when the problem is with the kitchen not something the customer can control. We were denied a refund given that these terms were not disclosed at the beginning before the transaction. There are plenty of restaurants who value customers this is not one of them. I would advise to take your business somewhere else. It's not a surprised that this establishment will be shut down soon.

I enjoyed this place! The food was really good and the portions were HUGE! The staff weren't too talkative- but ensured our drinks were filled and we had everything we needed! The restaurant itself was clean, but the restroom wasn't as clean. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

REAPER RAMEN - Medium spicy, so I didn't die!! Edamame & Shiner of course!

ONI IS LEGIT!!! This place is a tiny powerhouse of amazing flavor and service. Total hole in the wall vibes; kinda grungy, kinda cramped - but as usual, worth it. Order on the iPad by the door, or sit at the bar - but be warned, the iPad lies to you and tells you things on the menu are unavailable. The bartender quickly corrected this issue for me when I attempted to order a Shiner and the iPad told me there were none - but the glass display case behind him was full of them! He traded the ordered beverage for the needed Shiner. Now the ramen is nothing to be trifled with! You are greeted with a huge painted devil and a warning upon entering that if you order spice and k¡ll yourself, tough cookies, no refunds. I went medium since I wasn't sure what I was getting into, and didn't regret my choice one bit. I had the Reaper, medium spice, soft cooked egg. The noodles were tender and delicious, the broth was a flavor level and complexity that made me happy dance. Not to mention the star of the show, the tender and delicious pork belly. My eyeballs and forehead were shining, but it was amazing. I'm no average gringa, I was raised in Texas, and this spice was perfect! There is nothing more annoying than ordering something with a warning and being disappointed. This place is a total win. And the big glass window in front was perfect for people watching.

The type of ramen joints that is worth to mention and visit. I appreciate the different types of ramen they have instead of the regular "miso" "shoyu" blah blah blah. Give me something new. Which they did. Heres the breakdown and you must order: -Texas Mazeman: for someone who wants noodles but in a soup form. So much flavor and perfect chewiness. -Tokyo black: for someone who's a daredevil. This one is a good one to try. Another flavorful ramen -Oni reaper: good flavor. The most basic out of the three i mentioned, but still good. Ambiance: place is quite small but has 3 tables in the back and along the wall. Will i be back? Yes, if im around DTX again.

Deep Ellum is eclectic but holds a lot of gems. This is an incredible one. I have no complaints, no notes. I like eating places that are not complicated. The price point isn't ridiculous and you can eat here any season. The staff is doing what they need to and I really only like eating outside? I don't know if that information is useful here given that the star of the show is just the food.

Honestly, if you told me, I'd find Tokyo train station energy in the middle of Dallas, I'd assume you mixed up your flight connections. First the service. Crazy good. Fast, friendly, shockingly, competent, and basically everything you don't mentally prepare for when someone says, let's get Ramen in Texas. It's more attentive than what I'm used to standing Ramen, to be honest basically they are self serve. So if the service is bad at your own fault. Finding the place, however? A quest. Google, yelp, Apple maps all tried their best and still acted like I was searching for the lost city of Atlantis. Even now, I'm not convinced I can find it again without divine intervention. A treasure hunt for Ramen at the end of the rainbow is only cardio I'm signing up for. Confession, I'm not even a Ramen fan. Like at all. And yet. OMG. I ordered the weekly special, the Rose cream Ramen, which is basically Korean tteobokki rose sauce but instead of chewy rice cakes, you get chewy Ramen noodles living their best life. It's creamy, spicy, comforting, and absolutely worth popping a Lactaid for. Lactose intolerant folks, unite and suffer intolerance together and noodle induced bliss. I have to admit this bowl was spot on amazing. Honestly, better than the instant Ramen I tossed into my Rose tteobokki at home, and I don't say that lightly because that combo has carried me through some dark times. Parking? Well let's just say walking from far away was a blessing. After inhaling that bowl, I needed to trek a walk of the incoming food coma, that was swallowing me whole. Impossible to find. Impossible not to love. And absolutely impossible to believe it's in Dallas, Texas.

Place was pretty empty, but again, had just opened its doors for its day! Restaurant was clean and modern. I asked if they had mimosas in which the server replied they did not. However, she came back shortly after and said they could make an exception! I appreciated that and thought it was a nice gesture. Overall, service was really great and attentive. At no point did our water glasses go empty, and we placed our orders super quick. For lunch, I had the Spicy Creamy V Ramen. My friend had Tonkotsu Black. We also split an order of the French fries. Overall, the ramen was very tasty. It wasn't spicy at all, but I appreciate that JINYA includes sauces on the table to add to your ramen. The toppings (onions, tofu, etc.) were delicious and fresh. I also felt super full after only a few bites and took the rest home - well worth the price! My friend enjoyed his meal as well. The French fries needed a bit more salt, but only if you didn't use the dipping sauces. Which you would be crazy not to do so, as they are delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and would definitely be back for a quick, affordable lunch.

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

Parking wasn't bad either, there are lots and a garage nearby. However, the food itself fell flat for me. We ordered the crispy chicken happy hour special, which comes with a side salad. The chicken was on the dry side. Whenever I order Kaarage, it usually comes with a dipping sauce, but there was none here and that would've really helped out. The dressing on the side salad was way too acidic, making it hard to eat as well. In addition, we ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer. The takoyaki themselves were pretty solid, but the texture of the mayo was off. I'm not sure if they make their mayo in-house, but i noticed it was curdled. EDIT: after reading the restaurant's response, the texture I noticed was because it's an egg tartar sauce For the ramen, we ordered Jinya Tonkotsu Black and Creamy Veggie Ramen. Pricing is standard for DFW ramen restaurants, although *slightly* higher than some others (by like $1). The base ramen comes with a good variety of toppings! However, the ramen was just okay. The noodles are on the skinnier side, which I prefer thicker, chewier noodles. The pork chashu serving was small, and it tasted kind of old and wasn't that tender nor flavorful. The broth was just alright. I prefer soft-boiled, jammy ramen eggs, but the ajitama here was cooked longer than I would've liked. Ironically, I thought the veggie ramen was *much* better. The broth had better flavor, and they use different noodles than the tonkotsu, which were thicker (and exactly what I like!). Lastly, we had the matcha tiramisu for dessert. On a positive note, the matcha flavor was detectable. However, the tiramisu crème wasn't that fluffy, and there were noticeable amounts of undissolved sugar.
