Would give this place zero stars, if I could. We came in shortly before closing (and knew that), and we're greeted by a friendly, young hostess and, what appeared to be, an older server. When he was finished flirting with her she was going to seat us, only after the server protested and made sure we knew we only had five minutes left to order before the kitchen closed. We promised to be quick. (In her defense, the hostess told us she had just beat her at tic tac toe and his feelings were hurt). We sat at our table for 5 minutes before we got any water and waited another 5 minutes before leaving because a sever never came to our table. I've never in my life had such terrible customer service at a restaurant, especially in such a high traffic area. If that's how someone is going to great customers, I'd be concerned. I had the Filet Mignon (rare) and Lobster tail with broccolini and a grilled tomato. The foodwas excellent, the service top notch, and the atmosphere most inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Key West. The price $$, but the food is worth it. Be prepared. read more

Lovely dinner here on 6/20/2020. We had the Grigliata Mista, the waiter referred to it as the seafood platter when we inquired. It was amazing fresh grilled seafood and vegetables served with 3 sauces on the side. The seafood was so good, you really didn't need the dipping sauces, but it was nice to have them. We could barely fit our two entrees on the table. Server was nice enough but the only reason you would come to this location over the other one is that they have steaks and other entrees. We ordered pastas and have to say it was fairly average in terms of taste. Although there was an abundance of wait staff floating about, we rarely were attended to. The interior space is very open and loud. Overall just not what we prefer. read more

Visited during the first week this restaurant was open. It was terrific, so glad we stumbled on it our last night in Key West. It has an open floor plan and we ate on the patio which was perfect. The service was good although they were still working the kinks out. My gnocchi with clams was light and delicious. My husband had risotto and it was perfect. My wife and I were walking past this restaurant looking for another place. We looked at the menu and saw some appealing items. I had the grilled lobster tails which were fantastic. Food decent good but NOT worth the price tag. Server and aids were very not attentive, language barrier made things more complicated then they should have been. My girlfriend who has a BAD gluten allergy had ordered gluten-free pasta. The server rushed to the next person and almost skipped over me. Almost as if he had somewhere better to be.... Well this guy ordered her normal pasta and as I am writing this review my Girlfriend currently throwing up and extremely sick. We were part of a party of 12. Towards the end of our dinner a smaller table requested that the restaurant starts blarring music to satisfy their request. This music was so loud we could not hear each other. At this point we felt the need to cut the night short and leave. This type of service is not acceptable. Would I ever come back to this restaurant if I visit keys again... probably not.... Came last year pizza was good , gnocchi was good !! Service sucked ,so I still gave it a try this year hoping for improvement , made it there 10:10pm with my family of 7 and they turned us down ...said placed was already closed ... We were looking for something a little different from the "typical key west" seafood restaurant and found it here at Only Wood Grill. I wanted a nice piece of "grilled beef coupled with some fresh seafood and my wife was interested primarily with seafood,but not fried. I got the surf & turf which was a 12oz. filet and lobster tail. It was cooked perfectly over open fire with a wonderful wood flavor. My wife ordered the grigliata mista and OMG what an obscene amount of perfectly "grill-cooked" seafood. It came out on a large wooden platter and was almost embarrassing when they put it in front of her. It had lobster,scallops,shrimp,fish,octopus,tuna sashimi,etc. We split a delicious Caesar salad with fresh shaved Parmesan cheese that had just the right amount of anchovy flavor, not too strong. The portions were robust so we were glad that we didn't order any of sides ( menus is alacarte ). Both meals did come with a small amount of grilled veggies which were fine. They also brought us some freshly baked bread with oil and a nice vinegar mix for dipping,Yummy. Our server,Anna,was superb as was her assistant. They were very polite and accommodating. We found it a bit odd that a restaurant that offered such delectable grilled food also offered pizza. I can only imagine how superb that it must be!! My lady and I stumbled across this Restaurant. The sign in front read "Onlywood grill" and the first thing that came to my mind was "Steakhouse." The waiter told us it was an Italian restaurant.
