My first time ordering the mini chicken meal by using a BOGO offer through postmates. There was nothing mini about this meal, it was a good sized portion. It comes with the grilled chicken and veggies and a scoop each of rice and macaroni. I ordered for pick up and arrived early to modify one of the orders from veggies to double rice. Love how everything always tastes so fresh and the freshly grilled meats are always well cooked and hot. Unfortunately modifications are not an option on the app but I arrived early for my pick up and were able to request the change in person before they completed my order. The staff was friendly and helpful with making this change to my order. I came in a little after 8pm, and even this late they were still busy serving and making orders. The place was clean and had plenty of indoor seating areas. I found parking right in front with no problem. The parking is shared with the other businesses in the plaza but people are constantly in and out so parking is fairly easy to find. Btw, you can park on either side shared lot by Panera or McD's. I was hungry but not too hungry, so I asked if I could order the kids meal. Plus, they had a Lilo and Stitch bag that was part of the meal which was too cute not to have. They accepted, awesome! My meal came pretty fast because none of it was fried. My coworker had to wait a bit for theirs because it was fried. One thing I noticed was once a customer leaves, their table never got cleaned. The food here is alright. Sometimes it is too salty but overall it's around the same as the other ones. What is great is their deals and they are fast at pushing out food. However, what really irritates me is the lack of parking and how the staff parks right in front of the restaurant. Shouldn't those parking spaces be for customers? The lot is always so crowded and on the weekends it's obvious it's the staff parked in the front as it's always the same cars out there for hours. I recently went to the Ono Hawaiian BBQ in Alhambra, and it was a very unpleasant experience because of the actions of one of the employees, whose name is Luzidian. From the time I walked in, this particular employee had an attitude, speaking in a condescending and dismissive tone. When I asked for information about the menu and ordering, I was met with impatience instead of assistance, which made the whole experience very stressful and uncomfortable. It is a shame because I have always heard that this is a very good restaurant, but the way that I was treated was completely unprofessional. Customers should be treated with courtesy, respect, and attention, especially when they are being served. However, the way that I was treated was the complete opposite, and it made a big difference in my experience. I would like to speak with a manager or someone above them about this particular experience. It is important that this incident is taken seriously and that the proper consequences are administered so that no one else has to go through the same unpleasant experience that I did. I think this is one of the worst Ono's I've been to. I came to pick up my order and I showed the worker my phone, which I brightened and enlarged so they can see. He started touching my phone with his hands and I immediately get the ick. He goes your orders not ready yet. I tell him that I need to go to work soon and he just stares at me and turns away to the counter behind him with all the boxes of food. Just started to come to this location and right away the cashiers Esmeralda and Yaqueline are straight up awesome and has me looking forward to coming back to this location. Food here is amazing food and so far all my visits everything was cook perfectly. I always order the combo chicken and beef with all veggies and their beef at this location is never dried out or over cooked. The chicken was also juicy cooked to perfect consistency and even when I though a few pieces were burnt it was actually still quite good. Ono Hawaiian BBQ took the order and said okay. One day before our holiday party, our office clerk called to confirm the order as well as one portion No Salt. So I went Ono Hawaiian BBQ today for the 11am pickup and it was not ready. Took another 15 minutes to pack the food and then dispense the sauces. I asked for the portion without salt and the response was "It is against company policy to prepare without the marinade that includes salt. I explained to the cashier the order included one portion no salt and also confirmed yesterday and pleaded with him if there is anything they can do to help me and the response was "No". Ono Hawaiian BBQ should be upfront and transparent when taking orders. Let customers know if they cannot meet dietary restrictions BEFORE taking the order. An Ono Hawaiian BBQ that's much closer to home than the other Onos! Oh no!!!! Definitely fulfills that Hawaiian BBQ craving... 4 stars!!!! Love the BBQ chicken at Ono. As with other branches, the BBQ chicken is always super tender and flavorful and it goes so perfectly with the mac salad side and rice. The teriyaki sauce is way too salty for me, but I love the katsu sauce. Love the delicious combination of the BBQ chicken with the katsu sauce. There's a bowl and plate order available for the BBQ chicken, but I always choose the plate. Guaranteed lunch with the leftovers the following day if you get the plate. Pretty reasonably priced for the amount of food. Staff has been pretty friendly and nice. So glad that they pickup orders over the phone. Call ahead about 15 minutes before pickup and your order is sure to be ready and waiting for you when you arrive. Definitely beats having to wait for your order at the restaurant. This Ono Hawaiian BBQ still feels brand spanking new since it's located in the brand new shopping that also has McDonald's and Panera Bread, right across the street from Costco and Souplantation. First off they don't enforce the new mask mandate from LA County. Secondly the don't have people stay 6 feet apart.
