Steak & Shrimp plate with friend Seimen noodles!
    Allister D.

I thought this was a remodel and new location from the original Ono Steak & Shrimp shack in Waimanalo but it's not.. sadly. Me and my wife had a nice experience here. We ordered two plates of the shrimp and steak and a plate of seimen fried noodles with garlic butter. The steak and shrimp plate was really simple and didn't have much flavor. The steak bites were a bit too small and the shrimp wasn't coated with garlic butter or anything; just plain and slightly cooked. I was hoping they'd serve the plates with Mac salad instead of the salad but they don't. The noodles were way too salty. The diced bbq pork was also salty. You definitely need a large beverage with the meal to stay hydrated. Please note, it's $1 for a refill as well. I know this place is booming with plenty of regulars which is great but for me and my wife, we prefer a different style of steak and shrimp. This wasn't it but that's ok! I do want people to try this place out! I know there will be lots that will love it.

First timer, and I absolutely am in love with this place. Da Aunteh cashier was super patient while we figured out what to get. So much aloha from the staff. My bf got the opakapaka fish plate with steak. Everything was sooooo ONO! Will be back very soon.

Lunch in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawai'i... Ono Steak & Shrimp popped up on my Yelp feed a few times, so I decided to give it a try. It opened about a month ago. This is the third location for Ono Steak & Shrimp. The first two shops are in Kapolei and Waipahu. Located on Waiakamilo Road, this site used to house a popular old school eatery - before they decided to retire. The current cashier said that this business Ono Steak & Shrimp) is here to stay! She was very friendly and welcoming! The young man was also very kind! I asked where to sit... for the coolest spot... they pointed to the back table... LOL! Thanks! The interior looks modern, clean and bright! It's very spacious with many tables and chairs for dining in. I'm thinking about bringing a group here... because the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous! I got the 4 ounce Steak with shrimp. I was so happy when I opened the container and found that the Steak was cut up for me! That makes it VERY convenient! The meat was tender and well-seasoned! The shrimp had a creamy, buttery garlic sauce - rich and yummy! The rice and green salad (with thousand island dressing) were nice sides. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the noodles and the salmon! I should just go down the menu and taste everything!

Now open on waiakamilo Rd!!! I ordered their steak & shrimp plate with half rice & half noodles. The noodles is super good. The shrimp has a good buttery taste and the steak is soft and buttery too. They cut it like steak bites. A little on the salty side but still good. They pack the plate for $25. The workers are super friendly. They have a dine in area to enjoy your food. Plenty of parking right outside of the restaurant. They do close at 7pm so get your dinner before then!

First time here. We came after bowling and wanted to eat steak. I got the steak and shrimp. The steak was very tender and delicious. The shrimp was succulent with garlic. Can't go wrong for only $18. Great friendly service. Give them a try. You'll be glad you did.

I've been to their location in Kapolei - their original - they have another one (2) in Waipahu. Today, Friday.12.September.2025 is their grand opening. Well, I don't like seafood but chicken and steak is fine by me. I requested Steak & Chicken Plate, which comes with salad greens...I chose Italian dressing...also, requested medium for my steak. Got the BBQ sauce foe the chicken. I didn't get medium but ( I forgot ) they cut the steak into bite-size pieces and it was soft and well-seasoned...right amount of salt and pepper. Chicken was okay. BBQ sauce was a bit sweet and tangy...different from what I am used to and prefer. So, y'all can't expect the Deep South trifecta of barbecue sauce: sweet, tangy, and spicy. Price was decent...had takeout. Five dedicated parking stalls are in front of Ono Strak & Shrimp

Really good -- consistently on point. The steak stays tender and flavorful every time, and the garlic shrimp is an absolute must‑have on the plate .

I visited recently and unfortunately had a frustrating experience regarding both the billing and the food quality. First, there was a discrepancy in pricing. The menu clearly stated a price of $22 for my meal, but I was charged $24 on the final bill. I recommend checking your receipts here to ensure the menu prices are being honored. Regarding the meal, i ordered the steak and the salmon. Unfortunately, both dishes were so heavily salted that they were unpleasant to eat. I was looking forward to the meal, but the seasoning completely overwhelmed the natural flavors of the fish and meat. I hope the management can look into the pricing consistency and the kitchen's seasoning levels, as we'd love to see these issues resolved.

Sign seemed like food was good food, took longer than needed because rare chop steak were cooked well done. Seemed steamed on flat top grill; meat, fat and seasonings were mushy. Why would you steam already sliced meat if didnʻt ask for well done?! Especially if asked for RARE, or in general. Inaccurate order, 12 ounce steak plate asked for all salad, recieved rice. Ono steak shouldnʻt be in their name.. Sorry, but cook needs to be taught how to cook.

    The nice refurbished counter.

Yummy steak and shrimp plate. The steak is done perfectly and is served on the rice. So all the oils and yumminess drips on the rice. My wife likes the buttery shrimp.

3rd time eating in here in the last few months. Always got steak n salmon. Always good but tonight different. Cuz first time paying for 1oz extra steak. ($2.50) Never look any different from the other plate we ordered...which was 8oz steak w/shrimp. Wish they had one way for tell if they added the extra steak. I would suggest placing it in like one small paper sample try so we know or even dakine add one flag "1oz". Instead of just throwing em in. Cuz how we suppose to know. I mean I went ask aunty if was added in but still yet. That way we no feel like we just got reeeeeeeeeped. Cause I think so I just got reeeeeep'd. $46 for 2 plates....next stop zippys.

The hostess was so accommodating. I ordered a cocktail, the Ribeye steak and Caesar's salad with fries. Everything was so divine! I totally forgot the name of the drink I ordered but they have a nice pour and felt pretty good after that one drink! I ordered the charred Caesar salad and duck fat fries. The charred salad was odd, I think I was expecting a light smoke but I guess they were true to the title because it was charred. My prime rib was the standard medium rare but it took some cutting because there was so much connective tissue that had not melted, the fat hadn't melted either. It was just bad. I asked the server about the prime rib and she said it's supposed to have a lot of fat because of the cut. Absolutely true, but it's supposed to melt not be huge chunks. It also needed the horseradish, it had no flavor otherwise. The server was nice and took half off the prime rib. The fries tasted like a standard fry I've had before, nothing special. I tried the lobster pasta my friend had and it was delicious, everyone who ordered pasta at the table was satisfied which is great but this is a steak restaurant. The server was really nice. I wouldn't come back even if someone else was paying. But my dog appreciated the prime rib I brought home, so I guess that's a win?

We both ordered the ribeye steak, mashed potato, asparagus and fried rice. Both ribeye steaks were cooked to the exact doneness. The size of the ribeye steak was pretty big. Luckily I was very hungry so I finished my steak. The asparagus was very delicious and the mashed potato was very delicious too. Our server, Elijah did an excellent job answering any questions and was very attentive to what we ordered. When the meals came in. He even asked to double check the doneness of the steak by cutting it right down the middle and it was cooked to perfection. I don't remember the last time I went to a steak restaurant other than my birthday, so it's very rare to go to a restaurant and order steak. So this was a large treat to me. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere with the lighting dim and the music very soft. This visit we came for a late Father's Day celebration. Of course we all ordered steak since this is a steakhouse! We made reservations and we're probably seated at 5 PM. Since we were here early, restaurant was not very crowded at that time, but did fill up pretty good while we were there. One thing that I don't like about Little Joe's steakhouse is that they have the music playing very loudly that it makes it difficult to have conversations over dinner and even give your order to your server. We ordered the filet mignon, ribeye steak, chicken tenders and had sides of potatoes au gratin, sautéed mushrooms, grilled asparagus, fried rice with steak, and garlic fries. The food is consistently good, but I was disappointed in my steak as I ordered the ribeye to be cooked medium, but the steak I received was well done. It was still tasty, but definitely overcooked. My dad ordered the filet mignon medium but it came back rare. This surprised me, because in the past, they've cooked their steaks consistently to order, but cooking a good steak to well done is a definite, no no. Our server, however, was excellent, prompt and very polite. Ambience 3 stars Food 3.5 stars Service 4 stars

Since it was late, we noticed the back of house staff help the front. Everyone was so friendly and food comes out fast. I could also say portion of some items may not match price, but I understand inflation is increasing at an alarming rate. So I'll leave money out of this. Crushed cucumbers were interesting. We couldn't decide if eating it with chopsticks or spoon was better. With chopsticks, you might not get enough sauce. But you could taste the layers of flavor. With a spoon, you get too much saltiness. The spice hits at the end. The tako karaage were a little too chewy for us. Beef tongue was so tender. A definite must order. I dont think it needs rice though. We also ordered the late night nikumiso but it didn't come with an egg, which the menu said it should. We tried handful more items but we'll be back to try the oxtail items, as it sounds like that's their specialties, but takes extra time to prepare.
