Food was terrific. We were able to have a table on the patio - six adults but the table was a tad too small. Bar was out of house tequila and grapefruit juice so we changed our drinks. The well tequila was out so in order to have a margarita they had to use Don Julio with an up charge . We shouldn't have had to pay an up charge just because they were "out" of their well brand. I should have ordered just the Italian gold... it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'll order them again and again. The worst pasta I have ever eaten. Pasta was definitely overcooked and super dry. The chicken is hard and the taste so disgusting, it literally tasted like lemon juice. So I just moved to AZ in July and I must say that I am a FAN of Oregano's! I've already been quite a few times in the few months I've been out here. It seems to be a local staple and I can see why. It's kind of like Buca di Beppo and Olive Garden had a kid that specializes mostly in pizza. Same family style-Italian atmosphere, but one I personally prefer over OG and Buca. This one in Scottsdale is closest to me. I actually came here back in 2014 when I was in Scottsdale for a conference. My ex-bf was with me and he was telling me all about this Oregano's place and how they had never-ending pasta bowls. We went and I remember being underwhelmed. How much pasta can one person eat? BUT what I failed to realize is that Oregano's is really known for their pizza and pazookies. So needless to say, the times I've gone as an AZ resident, that is exactly what I get and I've never been disappointed! I always start off with a glass of the Sterling Cab. Can never go wrong with that wine! And when eating here, I've gotten a few appetizers and have been very impressed with the Boom Dip. It's essentially spinach and artichoke dip with cheese. Ugh so good! I've also had the Kale Caesar salad that our table split up one time as an appetizer. A nice app option but also a healthy main course option for the health-conscious. I've tried both the pan style and the thin crust pizza. Both are very good but the pan pizza is SUPER filling (which leaves limited room for pazookies). So now that I've tried the thin crust, I doubt I'll go back to the pan. The thin is super light, extra thin and crackery. I actually really appreciate that they have three different styles of pizza (thin, pan and deep dish). You don't normally see that in places! Speaking of three options, the pazookie varieties here are a MUST. I actually heard that BJ's Brewhouse and Oregano's fight over who actually created the pazookie. I don't really care who invented it--- all I know is that they are delicious. It's a warm cookie (straight from the oven) with generous scoops of vanilla ice cream. The combo of hot and cold sweets is the perfect end to your delectable meal here. They have three offerings: chocolate chip, peanut butter and white chocolate macadamia. I always go for the classic choc chip, but it's nice to have options. You can also do half and half. I one time ate an entire pazookie by myself after eating two apps and pizza. Oh gosh-- I practically had to be rolled home. Not sure I'd do that again, but it was quite the indulgence. ' All told, I'm a mega fan over here and can't wait to be back soon! read more

So underrated! Such a cute restaurant with a variety of plates to choose from. The portions are pretty big so I got the ziti to share. It tastes great by itself but I typically like to get it with the bread bowl. Make sure to save room for dessert- the pizza cookie is delicious! Oregano's is a pizza bistro chain that is only in Arizona. I was able to get on the Yelp Waitlist so that I didn't have to wait that long once I got there. It reminds me a lot of Buca di Beppo with the colorful walls decorated with random tchotchkes. We ordered the thin crust Yahoo Barbecue Chicken Pizza, a gluten free pizza, and the El Diablo Shrimp Pasta. The pasta and gluten free pizza were pretty good, but the BBQ chicken pizza was not my favorite. I love pizza, but this has got to be the worst pizza I've ever eaten (although my kids thought it was good). The crust had a strange smell and taste that I couldn't get over, so I ended up eating some of my son's GF pizza. They also offer a deep dish pizza, which I didn't know about until I saw one going past our table to another customer. Darn, maybe that would have been a better choice. read more

Went last night and ordered the deep dish numero-uno. It was amazing. Wings were good too. Everything was reasonable prices including the $45 bottle of prisoner. The staff was knowledge and helpful though we did eat at the bar. Music was nice and relaxing and patio with perfect weather really helped. Oregano's has great food in my opinion. But be prepared for a wait for a table and waiting on food- especially the pizza we ordered (stuff crust) which took over an hour to arrive. This is not a grab and go place, but a time to sit back and enjoy without rush. Even with call again seating we had to wait 30 minutes once we checked in. No where to sit and wait. They do deliver food and that may be a huge holdup to the kitchen. All in all a good experience and the food is good but there is room for improvement read more

In town for the TCU Bowl game and gluten free pizza is on our list for our GF kid. Arrived at 7:15 and told a 30-35 min wait. So far the ambience looks fun and relaxed. Bar when you walk in. While waiting, I noticed this is a very popular place for order pickups. Good sign! 45 minutes later we were seated. We ordered the meatball sandwich, an angel hair pasta dish, a "big one" house salad and a gluten free pizza for the teen. I might be a bit bias because Oreganos is one of my favorite restaurants but I went into this location with a friend and I'm ranting and raving about it. I order calamari for an appetizer and it comes back not done. I let them know and they literally drop the same calamari and fry it to a crisp. So I tell them I don't want it and order the spinach dip. Omg was that delicious! It was our servers first day and had she never told us, we would have never knew. She rocked it! And then, the manager comes over, I believe his name is Mitch, he lets us know that he gonna cover the calamari and spinach dip. What great service is that. Went here on a Wednesday night. Came in around 7pm - table of 4 took about 20-25mins to be sat. The gentleman at the host stand was outstanding - he really was super personable & accommodating. We got the large Cesar salad (enough for us all to split). 2 pizzas, wings and a pasta. So much food! Lots of leftovers! Over all I would say the food is pretty good. The pasta could have used some more sauce/flavor. Both pizzas were amazing. I can't speak for the wings. We also got the cookie dessert (AMAZING)!! One of my family's favorites places to go everytime I visit from CA. The salads are a feature, not an afterthought or side dish. The pasta dishes taste homemade and a favorite of my teenagers.
