Where Tradition Meets Flavor. My boyfriend, who is a California native, moved to Texas 7 yrs ago. He has always mentioned that through his child hood, Original Buffalo Wings was a family favorite. So of course, we had to stop by during our visit to SF, and I now see why this spot has been around since the late 1980s-- the food is genuinely good. The buffalo sauce is classically... buffalo... but better haha. It's also amazing that the sauce seems to go with everything. It's perfectly spicy and tangy without being overpowering. By recommendation, We even ordered a side of it for our chips, and it was a game-changer. IDK why we had never thought to order the frys or chips with some sauce to accompany them. Even the buffalo sauce mushrooms was unexpectedly delicious. Obviously the buffalo wings were good. Despite the food being amazing I have to say that the best part of our visit here was the look on my boyfriend's face--pure nostalgia and satisfaction. It's moments like these that make revisiting places like Original Buffalo Wings special. Service was excellent too. The cashier, Mel, was incredibly sweet and made sure we were well taken care of. Overall, I highly recommend this spot--a 4.5/5 for sure!

I'm in town for the week and this is across the street from my hotel. I have already eaten here twice. Even took a friend with me today! Last night they were about to close but still took my order. Every single thing that I've had has been delicious. I think I'll have wings tomorrow. It was quiet and clean on the outside. The employees are really nice too. I guess I'm a regular until I leave. This is just a relaxation trip for me so it's nice to have this so close because the menu has a bit of everything.

We came today and it was nice because of the holiday it wasn't busy. We ordered... Wings (8/10) Garlic fries (8/10) - the garlic was cold but the fries were hot and fresh Bacon cheeseburger (8.5) decent and good size Fish n chips -10 this was everyone's favorite Service was good and food was served nice and hot

Really like this place don't know why such negative reviews. The employee was really nice. The Caesar salad was on point and the chicken wings were delicious. Even comes with celery and carrots. Oatmeal cookie on point too.

Lemon pepper/garlic fries

Terrible wings I got the lemon pepper and they were dry, oily in the wrong ways, little to no seasoning, and had a really dark chicken meat taste. I also got the garlic fries and they were mushy, soggy, very starchy and overall just terrible awful off putting flavors.definitely the worst wings and fries I have ever had in the city and my life do not recommend the wings or garlic fries. Ps. I only ate 1 wing and had to force myself to finish 1 wing after that I threw it away! It was very very awful.

Ordered the lemon pepper wings and they put so much seasoning it was not edible. I had to wipe each individual piece with paper towels twice just to be able to eat a few pieces. I was skeptical coming here for the first time based on the 3 stars rating, but figured how bad could it be? It was baaaad. 3 stars is too generous. Ill give 2 stars but that may even be too much. Oh and some pieces were lightly fried and others completed over-fried to the point it was biting into a rock. So they obviously mixed in a few pieces of very old dried wings have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours , mixed with some freshly fried wings. Shady.

i saw the wing.

This is probably the nostalgia in me, but if you came here years and years ago, it's very nice to come back and have THE flavor again. See... Original Buffalo Wings was my first Buffalo wing experience, so, pretty much everything else I have had since is compared to these. When I first had Buffalo wings from here in the mid-nineties, the wings were bursting with flavor. I had never experienced them before and Original Buffalo Wings got me hooked. Stepping back in today was eye-opening. The menu has expanded by quite a bit from what I remember... and now there are many more flavors than the original spicy flavor. I didn't deviate from what I wanted so I just went for the original spicy. They weren't as much of a flavor bomb as I remember, but I have to be realistic and know that my taste buds have changed over the years. They've been through shock and awe so I'll never had that first experience of Buffalo wings again... but that's ok. I'd have to say that the Buffalo sauce here is still excellent. The taste is what I remember and it has a perfect tanginess. I also got a side order of their house made chips that they fry right there and then. They came out really hot and crisp. I was in heaven! The only gripe I have is that the service here is pretty slow. I came during a dead time in the middle of the afternoon and I still had to wait about 20-25 minutes for my order. But that's what it was back then too... so... I got what I got!

The wings are very tough, the garlic parmesan is hard like clumps on the wings and the fries.

$12 breakfast burrito in the city?! What a steal…read more Gilberth's Latin Fusion caught my eye as I was passing by looking for coffee and breakfast. The rustic/home style decor was very welcoming and it seemed that a lot of the folks knew the cashiers/barista! Some people even stopped by just to say hi and welcome back the barista that was on leave for a bit. I forget his name, but he was a lovely person to chat with! I ordered a Breakfast Burrito with Carne Asada ($12) and an iced latte with Oat Milk ($6). It took ~15-20 for my burrito but the latte came out within five minutes and was made fresh with Portrero Trade Operations coffee beans! While waiting, I ended up buying a bag of coffee beans with flavor notes that were so unique- "cola, tomato, and herbaceous". For $25 you get a whole pound of coffee beans, which most only offer 12oz now. Get a bag while you can! The breakfast burrito was served with one green and one red salsa plus a small bag of chips. The burrito was decently sized and very juicy. I was a bit sad to see that the cheese wasn't melted inside, but the fresh pico de gallo inside totally made up for it. The carne asada had a great bite to it and everything was seasoned well. The salsa verde was absolutely stunning. Not too acidic and just the right amount of spice to go with my burrito. I ordered for takeout, but next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going to consider dining in for the full experience.

The staff was nice enough and the ambience was much better than I expected based on the outside. The menu feels random but normal enough. They have your staples. I started with the fried brussels sprouts. They had a nice flavor to them, but a lot of pieces were flat out burnt. Honestly, I was too hungry to complain about it so I just ate it. I had enchiladas for my entree. They somehow reminded me of a great lasagna, but they were just OK as enchiladas. The ambiance is nice enough to warrant a return visit, but I'm not rushing to come back. Related: they only serve beer and wine so there's that

So after about an hour, John from DD calls me and states my order has been sitting at the counter for over 45+ min, apologizes I haven't received my order and he attempted to contact the GH driver several times. So I attempted to contact GH customer service and the only to speak with someone is via chat... However, I then get a call from GH during my chat session and states the restaurant is closing and they don't have any drivers to p/u order so they're just canceled my order. Ok... At this time, the wife is like Im hungry so wheres my burger. Im like, whelp, look like you and the pup don't get to eat tonight . She didn't really find that funny and then I receive another call from John. Long story short, he tells me that he really sorry but the driver never showed up. However since Im so close, he'll deliver my order himself. Im like, you just got off work so no worries, I'll figure something else out for dinner. He states it's not a big deal and he didn't want to see the food goto waste or my family go hungry. My guy drops off my order in 5 minutes and the wife the story ends on a happy note for the wife and my rottie is very appreciative to John for his burger patty. Both were just so tasty and seasoned just right. They gave us a habanero based hot sauce to go with the chicken, but the chicken was so juicy and crispy on the outside and just so flavorful that it didn't need anything extra to make it better. We devoured every single one of our dish. We loved it so much, we're already thinking of making a special trip to Portrero Hill just to eat another meal here.

My partner and I ended up getting the margarita pitcher deal that came with 50 wings... (Hear me out). We got pretty tipsy off of the pitcher because the bartender put in a lot of tequila. So it's definitely worth it. We ate as much wings as we could, and saved the rest in our own Tupperware. There was a sign at the bar telling patrons that you couldn't take out any leftovers, but when we spoke to the bartender, he told us that Tupperware would be extra charge so we were lucky that we brought our own at that time. Now, the wings: Some of them were pretty dry. I'm assuming the bar would cook them before the happy hour rush and then they would reheat them with the sauces that people ordered. My partner, and I tried the buffalo, lemon pepper, teriyaki, and mango habanero. The mango habanero was spicy and sweet. I think that was our favorite. I was a little disappointed with the lemon pepper because it was really salty. And the other two were pretty mid. The staff was really nice. The vibes were pretty nice. We were early to the happy hour so there wasn't that much people and we also sat outside in the back patio, which was pretty cool. I could definitely see this bar being a very popular spot. I think if you come here with a big group of people and get the margarita pitcher with the 50 wings, it's a pretty good deal splitting it out with your friends. They have other deals as well where you would get a certain number of wings if you ordered a beer or a beer pitcher, etc. We just wanted to get as many wings as possible and get tipsy lol. I recommend this spot if you're meeting up with friends or had a long day at work.

And the chicken meat inside didn't seem marinated and tasted bland. It probably would be better if they added lemon juice after it was cooked or had given us some lemons to squeeze over the chicken before we dug in. 3.5/5 MANGO HABANERO CHICKEN WINGS ~ the sauce was spicy and tangy sweet, but it doesn't seem like they marinate their wings. It's only the sauce that gives the chicken flavor. 3.5/5 The wings aren't at all crispy. And flavor was ok and could have been better. But what was off-putting was the smell of the wings after we boxed it up and took it home! It had this gamey chicken smell as if it was old chicken.
