First 100…read morepeople get a free Tri Tip Sandwich (we were too late at 12:20pm), but if you missed out on the free ones, then they had them for purchase at a special $9.99 price. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a couple of employees at the balloon archway at the front of the restaurant, handed each of us a National Tri Tip Day sticker and told about the specials they had for this event: free tri tip sandwiches for the first 100 people, $5 draft beers and a chance to win free tri tips for 1 year. They were decently busy, so we opted to order at the outside pickup window and take our order home to eat. We ordered 4 tri tip sandwiches to take home ($43.21 with tax). When I opened up my Buckhorn Rewards App, I saw that I had an 1 year celebration reward (5oz Burnt Ends w/ Fried Onion Strings), I redeemed that with my order. At the ordering counter the had a QR code to enter their "Free Tri Tips for a Year" drawing, which I entered. Both their tri tip sandwiches and Burnt Ends were delicious! They had some side sauces (chipotle ranch and sweet fire BBQ) that I poured onto the sandwich and then I dipped the sandwich in their Au Jus which was a great combination. I believed the tri tip sandwiches are normally $15.50, but were $9.99 for today's event, it was a great deal. Buckhorn BBQ and Grill is a great place for the BBQ meat lover. Their prices are not cheap, but the quality is there. They do have some deals on the menu and specials on certain days such as $10 for 3 fish tacos on Fridays. Don't forget to join their rewards program for free food.

I was shocked to learn that this is only Camille's second shift behind the bar, but she managed to handle hungry, cranky diners like a pro. Always get the same thing here tri-tip and the crispy chicken salad. This restaurant gets five stars because it's consistent on the long drive home from Sac to San Francisco. It's nice to be able to stop along the way and know exactly what you're going to be eating. Tonight was an extra bonus because Camille is quite the conversationalist and a great addition to this restaurant

This is a 4 star restaurant with 5 stars for nostalgia and loyalty…read more I remember as a kid growing up in Fairfield and then Richmond, there was this special restaurant that had the biggest steaks ever and buffalo heads on the walls. Whenever we would go there,it was always a great happy dining experience and being in Dixon,it felt like a different world than the places in the Bay Area. As I grew up and moved to Sacramento area, the restaurant took on a much bigger meaning,it was my father's favorite spot to eat and it has always been the halfway point for my relatives who live in the bay and myself in Sacramento whenever we wanted to meet up for dinner. So yes I will always love Cattlemen's in Dixon for the memories alone. Let's talk about this particular recent visit. I made a reservation for a party of 9 at 6p. The parking at this location is plentiful as they have their own lot and even during its busiest times, there are always spaces available. When we arrived it was crazy busy and they told us it was going to be a bit for our table as they were running behind,so we headed to the bar to hang out and wait for our table. The wait ended up being over an hour after our reservation before we finally got our table. I was not thrilled at this but I was trying to make the best of a not perfect start to our dinner. The management and wait staff was very apologetic for the unexpected wait, which I appreciated. By the time we sat down we were ready to order immediately after having so much time to look at the menu while in the bar. In our family the most popular thing to order is the Original Steak Dinner for Two. We usually pair up with someone at the table and coordinate our order in that way. What that order gives you is a choice of 1 appetizer -Tumbleweed Onions -Artichoke Cheese Dip -Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. On a night like tonight where we have multiple people ordering this, all the appetizers eventually get ordered and we kind of just share them all. Personally my favorite is the Artichoke Cheese Dip. Then for the Entree each of you get to choose one of the following -9 ounce Prime Rib -6 ounce Filet Mignon -Half Rack or Pork Ribs -14 ounce NY Strip Steak -Grilled Salmon -Steak and Shrimp Scampi My personal favorite here is always the 14 ounce NY Strip. And finally we get to pick one of 3 desserts. -Deep Fried Apple Pie -Cowpie Brownie Sundae -Pete's Pan Cookie My personal favorite is the Brownie Sundae but I'm usually so stuffed,I generally have to take my dessert home,so I almost always select the Deep Fried Apple Pie as it reheats the best at home. This order for two runs $84.99. I find it to be a pretty good value for all that you get. I failed to mention with this order we also get their yummy bread service, unlimited salad and also baked beans. Once the food arrived,it was all very enjoyable,I've always been a fan of their steaks and this visit was no different-very juicy and tasty and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The manager stepped up and comped all the appetizers on our bill to make up for the one-hour delay-their team is always so good at taking care of their customers. Overall, even with the rocky start,we had a very enjoyable dinner experience and look forward to the next time we are able to get out to Dixon to have some Cattlemen's again.

Here's the link: https://klax-tv.com/johnny-carinos-famous-daves-dual-restaurant-concept/ My friend picked the place ... I thought we were gonna go to a sit down BBQ place! He's thinkin fast and says, we'll get it take out and it's a nice day, we'll eat in the back of my longbed pickup, I got folding chairs and a little table! Oh, how redneck of you ... good thinkin, there's a shady spot across the parking lot! We get a full rack of ribs to go with side selection of fries. I've never been to a Famous Dave's BBQ, so this'll be new. We get the box ... wow, that seems a little small for a whole rack of ribs! But I guess they got 'em all stuffed in there! The ribs were tasty enough, not over cooked to falling off the bone. I preferred them with no sauce. We got sauce in these little ass packets that don't hold much anyways. Not the worst ribs I've had ... better than Dicky's ribs. OK, done eatin in the back of the truck and on to the rest of this "date"! I don't think I'll wanna get food here again, maybe if it was sit down dining , but not to go. What if you get ribs to go and then took them into Johnny Carino's and ordered drinks!? Some should try that!

I wanted to do the original since if it was saucy it might lose the crunch along the way over. The biimbap was pretty good. I liked the sesame of the veggies and mix of ingredients. I'd want more of the mushrooms and greens though for the price of things. The tofu also were lightly fried with a thin starch on the outside which didn't travel well honestly. The chicken held up well though, still being crunchy. The seasoning was nice with bits of herbs shredded over it. In light of this, getting a sauce or flavor to dip things in would've been great though I don't remember if it was an option when I was originally ordering. The banchan was in a packed and worked well enough for the meal. Flavors still worked out well for the food, I'd be interested to see what the rest of the menu tastes like.

My wife and I used to be regulars at this location when we lived in Fairfield, but we had not been back in over 10 years. It was nice to see that despite all the challenges restaurants have faced over the years, this place is still thriving and as popular as ever. We were part of a group of 10, and everyone felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. We were even greeted by the owner or manager, which added a nice personal touch. The food was excellent. I ordered the BBQ chicken breast and ribs combo with two sides, and at around $23, I thought it was a great value. Living in San Jose, I'm used to BBQ meals costing significantly more. Of course, the fresh rolls with the cinnamon butter were just as delicious as I remembered. No one in our group had any complaints. The food, atmosphere, reasonable prices, and outstanding service made for a memorable family celebration. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Fairfield.

You make your own bow of food (raw) and they cook it for you. Meal starts with noodles, then veggies, meat, and final stage is the sauce. They have a list of recommended spoonfuls of each, and you can get wild with it if you want! I went garlic heavy and really liked it. Veggies were cabbage, onion, broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, sprouts, spinach, kale, peppers, and a few others. Meat was beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. I tried the beef and lamb with my two servings, preference was the beef. Ambiance is good - somewhat busy and they're cooking food nearly non stop.
