    Updated Lunch Special Hours
    Joyce F.

Came in for their lunch special. They still have til 3pm in Yelp. I arrived a little past 2. I requested them to update their hours on Yelp. I ended up ordering from regular menu. Got shrimp Pad Thai, 9/10 and Beef with Broccoli, 7/10. Also got Thai Iced Tea, 10/10. They had everything done in few minutes. The ladies are all nice and greet you soon you come in. Lots of parking in the area. The place is clean with homey atmosphere.

My first time and we got take out last weekend and I know I'm already going back this weekend. Really good Thai food with excellent flavors. We had it for the first time last weekend and I already want more. Like other reviews have mentioned, this is more of a take out place with a few small tables. The kitchen is open air so you can see the Chef cooking up your food nice and fresh. I called my order in and it was ready in the time they mentioned. Everything was great! Delicious. My favorite part of this place is they can substitute fish fillet for all of their dishes! Including the curries! And they can accommodate food allergies based on the menu. Highly recommend the spicy fish (makrut lime leaves! So good!!) and spicy fried rice (so gooood). We did medium spice but next time we are going to try "spicy." Looking forward to being a regular!

    Drunken noodles with mixed seafood

No wonder there's a line for lunch. Their portions are ginormous. And the flavors were popping. I'm not a huge fan of Thai food because most restaurants blandify their food. This one is an exception. Not pictured is the short ribs, which were piled on like a mountain and could probably feed 5 hungry adults. The same can be said of the other dishes we ordered. The drunken noodles were properly spiced with basil leaves being the most prominent flavor. The calamari stayed crunchy for the whole meal and the papaya salad had that slightly salty, fishy, limey flavor like it's supposed to. We went a bit early and were seated immediately. The interior was pleasant enough, slightly dated. Parking was pretty good. It's not a huge lot but enough spots that it wasn't painful. Recommended but if you're late, expect a wait.

Crispy Pork Gailan and Crab Fried Rice

We love take out from v Original Thai. Initially we weren't too fond of the food but after a few years, we gave it another try. Now we love it! Kids love the chicken satay and chicken pad see ew. Crab fried rice is the absolute favorite for my daughter and I. I've tried cream fried rice at so many That restaurants but nothing hits the spot like the one here. We get it every single time. The pad kee maw is also good but really spicy, even when you order it medium hear. It's not a drunken noodle but similar in texture and taste. The crispy pork gailan is also pretty good. I've had it twice so far. We will definitely be coming back for more crab fried rice!

Pad Thai Chicken and fried tofu with dipping sauce. Delicious!

Great stop on Halloween traveling through. Excellent food! I got the traditional pad thai spicy with chicken. Delicious. Appetizers for me tonight was fried tofu with dipping sauce. Loved it. The pad thai was so good that I ordered a second one to go. So saving this location for a future return. Copy little place. Vibe is champ. Recommend

Good food, reasonable prices. Too bad that lunch special is not available to take home, you can only have it at the restaurant.

I ordered the rotisserie chicken along with the Bo Ne (the sizzling skillet with eggs and filet mignon), and wow... that combination was ridiculously good. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfect for dipping into their amazing sauces. And speaking of essentials, whenever they ask how many baguettes I want, the answer is always two. One is simply not enough. The bread paired with their spicy chili oil sauce is next-level delicious. Their Thai tea is consistently amazing too. I've had it at both locations, and it's always rich, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. What really makes Garlic & Chives stand out, though, is the service. We had a couple things : the corn cheese plate which came hot and melty. It was really savory tasting and was not just one note the way others tend to be. If you like corn and cheese it's hard to say no to. We had also a salmon spring roll which was DELICIOUS along with the salmon belly. The sauce was sweet and complimented the roll well. We ordered the toothpick lamb dish as well which was so good. No funk and no musk which I'm very sensitive to. I tend to avoid lamb all together but actually really liked this. I also had the Bo loc lac and it was tender and seasoned well. Everything tasted great!!

And a huge bed of rice. I felt like 50% of the bowl was rice. I ended up leaving a lot of rice. I ordered their Vietnamese coffee which took a while to come out. The shop is located in the same strip mall as the Korean supermarket. The place is quite quaint with about 5-6 medium sized tables. It definitely gives hole-in-the-wall vibes. The service is quick and efficient, and everything is made to order. You can watch the whole process of your kimbap get made: rice and ingredients on top of the seaweed, rolled, brushed with sesame oil, and cut. I've tried most of their kimbaps [tuna, bulgogi, jinmi (spicy squid), cheese, kimchi, yuboo cho bab (fried tofu skin kimbap), Angel kimbap (keto)], and my top three are: bulgogi, tuna, jinmi. I absolutely love their spicy chewy noodles with vegetables (jjolmyun). It's not that spicy and packed with shredded cabbage, carrots, and cucumbers. Their spicy rice cake (ddukbokki) is decent and hits the mark. The steamed dumplings and fried chicken were okay. The hand-pulled dough (vegetable) soup (sujebi) was good. They also offer delivery through Postmates. I'm always coming back here to get my kimbap craving satiated!
