I ordered take out thru Eat24 and was pleasantly surprised. There is a delivery charge ($2) and order minimum you have to meet. Even though the prices are reasonable, the tab builds up fast. I ordered the green curry chicken, chicken pad see eew, tom hum chicken, spicy scallop and shrimp and panang beef curry. The delivery time took more than 40mins but was within promised time frame. The driver was friendly. The food was packed safe without any leakage. green curry chicken, chicken pad see eew, tom yum soup and panang curry beef were not overly sweetened like a lot of the places I have visited in the past. When I asked for spicy, they gave me a good amount of spicy without altering the taste of the entree. My only complaint was the spicy scallop and shrimp was very small in quantity in comparison to the rest of the food. I understand it is more expensive but the portion size was not in relation to the price they charge. Other than that, I had a good experience with their delivery service and food taste. This is where I fell in love with Thai food. It is till arguably the best Thai food in my area (considering I'm from Long Beach), despite the many Thai restaurants that are located around me. My all time faves are the noodles (pad Thai, pad see ew), the calamari are always fresh, and fried rice with any types of protein will never disappoint. read more

It is also a tad pricey tho. 4/5 Service: The phone order was efficient and friendly when a lady picked up. When I arrived, the same lady was putting together my order and the napkins, forks, spoon, and condiments. She actually helped me to take my to-go lunch to my car, since I am in a wheelchair. I don't really need help but she asked so I accepted. I thanked her to take to my lunch to my car I was appreciative. 3/5 Decor: Original Thai is tiny. I believe you can fit around 6-8 people. My coworker and I came here for lunch because we really wanted beef jerky, and the place we used to get it from stopped serving it. This place is VERY small, probably 6 tables. Luckily they weren't busy and we were able to be seated. The lady who helped us was SO nice. Their customer service here is great! For lunch we ordered beef jerky, egg rolls, yellow curry, and beef fried rice. The food didn't take too long to be prepared. Beef Jerky - Considering this is the reason we came here, it was pretty disappointing. The pieces of beef were very tiny, overcooked, dried out, and some pieces were bordering on being burnt. The flavor was decent, but the quality was not there. The portion was also very small. Egg Rolls - Fantastic! We both really enjoyed these. Yellow Curry - I think there was a lot of fish sauce in this curry, I could even smell fish when it was brought out to me. At first I couldn't get into it, but eventually I got used to the fishy taste and it was okay. Not my favorite place to get yellow curry at though. Also, the chicken was not very good, I ended up just eating the sauce and veggies. Beef Fried Rice - I didn't try it, but my coworker said it was alright. The boat noodle soup never disappoints! It's also so hot, yummy and flavorful. The last time I placed a phone order, I was disappointed, though. I called to have it ready for pick up at a certain time, but when I got there, had to wait an extra 15 minutes which wasted my lunch break time. They gave me a free Thai iced tea, but I still couldn't finish my soup during my break since they took so long to prepare it. Went there today and placed an order. After I paid I was told it would be a 25-30 minute wait. OK, my fault for not asking how long it would take. She did ley me know that they had lots of online orders. I go off and come back 30 minutes later. I go inside and the lady that took my order completely ignored me. I stood there waiting. After about 10 minutes of standing there she finally acknowledges me and tells me they're finishing up my order. In total that 25-30 minutes turned into 50. Ordered delivery with a few of my coworkers from here on a Saturday around 11:30 am. The promised delivery time was 12:34 pm but the food arrived 20 minutes earlier, so that was a plus! For a total of 4 entrees, we only got 3 small hot sauces and 1 small cup of chilis :( I should've asked for more when we placed the order, but you would think they would include more. The prices weren't bad. $3 delivery fee. Pad thai and pad see ew were both $8.95. It was $2 more to add shrimp to the pad see ew, but we only got 3 shrimps :/ Not worth it in my opinion, I was hoping for at least 4-5. Overall, the food was pretty good & prices were decent. I ordered the 3 flavor fish, garlic shrimp, and wai wai noodles. Since my order was over $20, they threw in a free thai tea which was nice. The food itself was fine. The garlic shrimp dish isn't nearly as amazing as Thailicious on Norwalk. It wasn't very garlicky and was tossed with other veggies. Loved the mushrooms in it but I'm the only one that dug it. The noodles were okay. A little dry and overly seasoned. I got them because they use egg noodle which I'm a fan of. The fish was my favorite. The ginger in that oily-peppery sauce they top it with hit some sort of chord with me, but obviously in a good way. Overall, not a bad first time experience and would definitely try more of the main stream dishes like pad thai, pad see ew, and fried rice. Been eating at this spot since 2008! Food and flavor is always consistent. Go to orders, chicken noodle, s1, drunken noodle, pad see ew, or their curries. This spot has a smokey bbq flavor and is more on the savory side than sweet. I don't enjoy sweet thai food but I believe it depends on the thai region and the diff mix of flavors. MANGO STICKY RICE! I ordered it twice last week and had it all to myself. The lunch specials are a great deal $6.50 for entree, eggroll, rice, and salad. Yesterday I asked for no eggroll but extra salad and he said no problem. I call in for carry out, but they deliver within the area. The pad thai has a bit of a spice to it and not much of that orange color like other places. Drinks - fountain sodas, canned coconut juice, and Snapple I think. Haven't tried the Thai iced tea yet, but it's free for orders over $15. The restaurant is small, set up like a cafe with a few tables. This restaurant is a hidden gem. I've driven to Del Taco numerous times and never once did I notice this restaurant! It's squeezed right between a chinese fast food restaurant and another store. My first time eating here was dine in. Upon entering, the owner (I am assuming) seated us with menus. He came back to take our order and the food came out pretty quick for made to order. I ordered the tiger's cry, spicy catfish, papaya salad, and Thai tea. The sauce that comes with the tiger's cry is delicious. The order of papaya salad was larger than I expected and the spicy catfish was cooked with a lot of ginger and spices which made the catfish not have a fishy odor or taste whatsoever. What really surprised me was the spice since other Thai restaurants' medium spicy is basically mild. But this medium spicy was perfect! You also have a variety of chilis to compliment your meal at the dining table. Service was good-he checked up on my table every once in a while to see how we were doing or if we needed a refill on our Thai teas. This is a small hole-in-the-wall Thai place with yummy food. I usually order takeout or delivery from here. There is seating but it's a pretty small area. I always get the crispy pork gai lan. The pork is nicely crisp and is really good with the fish sauce with green chili peppers. Definitely recommend that sauce as sometimes they just give you the plain chili paste if you don't ask for it. The pad see ew is also tasty and so is the crab fried rice (with real crab). I've tried a bunch of the appetizers but didn't really like any of them- including the fish cakes and egg rolls. They claim not to use any MSG but I'm not sure if this is entirely true. read more

I was excited to try this place out, but didn't have time to sit down for a meal so I got takeout. The lady was very nice and explained that we should sit down and wait for our food (pad see ew lunch special w/ egg roll, salad, rice and tom yum soup). We sat for a looong time. Probably about 20+ minutes. The party that had come in after us had already received their food and began eating. We were wondering what was up. Turns out they had our food on the counter waiting for us. The lady asked us, "Are you ready?" Incredulously, I asked her why she didn't tell us it was ready. It was probably sitting there for 10 minutes. She said she didn't see us even though we were sitting at the table right next to her register. This place is TINY, so I don't know what's up with that. Got home and the salad was warm. There really is no need for rice with a noodle dish. The egg roll was mediocre and I didn't care to finish it. The pad see ew was pretty good, but not as flavorful as I am used to. I asked for American broccoli and it was cooked perfectly. The tom yum was piping hot and super sour (good!). I liked how it was teeming with cilantro. However, it had an overpowering taste of fish sauce that I don't usually pick up on at different places. The food was okay, but the service was kinda iffy. The fiance and I came here for lunch one day. We got the pork pad see ew and the yellow curry with chicken. The pad see ew was pretty good (not the best I've had but still yummy)! But what made this meal amazing was the yellow curry! We drowned our rice in it. The yellow curry had the perfect balance of sweet and savory and flavorful. Definitely one of the best Thai curries I've had. Service was also friendly. Really easy to miss, seeing how its tucked away in a little corner of a plaza but this hole-in-the-wall restaurant is AMAZING. It's really small and cozy and there was a guy there [perhaps one of the owners?] who greeted us warmly. We were recommended to try the larb salad by the bf's friend who complimented it greatly. Got it in spicy and was not disappointed at all. Simply superb and we haven't found another Thai place that makes larb salad as awesome as Original Thai. Whoa...I just had the best Thai food I've ever had in this area. I live close to the restaurant and have visited this plaza a million times. But I've never tried this spot because 1) I have my favorite Thai restaurant (well, had) and 2) This is not the best of strip malls...I would never suspect there could be something this delicious located here. Note that this place is more of a fast Thai food joint and less of a family sit down restaurant. Small, kind of a dark hole in the wall place but huge...HUGE flavors in this here joint without using MSG as a crutch. I've eaten Thai food all over California and this is some of the best. They have the little chopped green chillies as well as the red peppers to bring the heat. I ordered three of my favorite dishes. Pad See Ew w/ beef, pineapple fried rice and yellow chicken curry. Beef Pad See Ew = 10 -great flavor, prepared perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Good amount of protein to veggie ratio. Best I've had. Pineapple Fried Rice = 8 -awesome flavor, they add some curry spices that takes this dish to the next level. They use large shrimp not too many of them but still nice to have the larger shrimp, chicken, cashews, raisins and pineapples. A thoughtful and delicious dish. Yellow Chicken Curry, mild = 8 -good curry, ample amount of chicken, good amount of veggies and they were cooked nicely. The veggies still had their texture and were not mushy. The food came out really quickly. Dynamite chicken wings, medium spicy: so delicious and crunchy. These were our favorite dish! Get them! Crab fried rice: tasty and loaded with actual crab Pad see ew with chicken, medium spicy: really good and flavorful. This was such a great find! We were trying to eat at a restaurant a few doors down, but it was packed...and hungry stomachs were needing food! We walked in and sat down...and we immediately were given menus and water. The people working were awesome. I tend to ask some dumb questions and I didn't get any ridiculous looks. The food was BOMB!! We always order the same two dishes at every thai place: Pad Thai and Ladnah. This place killed it--and the cooks prepare the food right there!! It's a small mom-and-pop place, with only 5 tables. However, they know how to make good Thai food! I like to alternate between the panang curry, pad Thai, and pad kee mow, depending on what mood I'm in. Love the free refills with my Thai tea as well! Sometimes it's hard communicating with them, because they have heavy accent, but they're super sweet. The dad recognizes my phone number when I call haha. And if I dine-in, he'll always ask how my food was when I'm done. They recently hired a new young cashier, so ordering should be easier from now on! read more
