I was so tempted to lift the bowl and tilt it into my mouth to get every last drop of sauce. Solid food and ambiance. Mussels, burrata and the oxtail pappardelle were great. The only miss with the food was the $3 house bread which was quite dry and overall not worth the cost. Service was attentive but felt quite overwhelming as plates were taken away super fast and almost came off like rushing patrons out the door to turn over a table. Food also came out surprisingly fast and was not staggered. The burrata which I thought would come out first ended up coming out last. Also, I believe it's the owner who worked the host stand while friendly, kept touching my daughter's hair as if he was petting a dog. Excellent Italian food in Beverly grove. Had the bread with olive oil, wagyu beef tartare, mushroom risotto, and short rib tortellini. Mushroom risotto was fantastic and big portion. Likely consumed a full stick of butter while eating, but the risotto was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms were meaty and tender. Tortellini were great, albeit a smaller sized portion. Good casual neighborhood vibe with fast service. Ambiance may not be as sexy as LA Italian heavyweights such as Ospi, Felix, Funke, etc but the food is likely just as good. Overall a solid Italian spot I'd recommend to anyone in the area. Looking forward to eventually trying the pizza upon return. read more

i've come here twice now with my boyfriend for one of our nicer dinners and both times we've been very happy with our experience. service is very good, servers are very nice and attentive, the food has really good portions for the price point, which makes it worth it (compared to a lot of pricier restaurants in la). ambiance is nice, we prefer the outdoor seating, but the inside is still lovely and cozy. their mussels were definitely our favorite. we got the claudia mussels and they were very tasty and again, great portion sizes. thank you oste we will definitely be returning read more

The real stand-out here is the service. It's BEYOND amazing. Each person who touched our table was so kind and helpful, and you really do feel welcomed in a very personal way. In the "loved" category was the arugula salad which was simple, but fresh and delicious. I also loved the burrata al pomodoro. The pomodoro sauce was amazing. And the desserts. The desserts are SPECTACULAR. We had the chocolate torte and the butterscotch budino and they were both fantastic. Do NOT skip dessert! In the merely "good" category was the homemade bread with olive oil, the funghi pinsa, and the lasagna. Not sure that I would order any of those again. I normally have a habit of not eating the crust of any pizza but Oste introduced me to their Pinsa and it has definitely been a game changer. Their Pinsa is super thin and super crispy. Every time I come here the restaurant is packed which is a good sign how much people love this place. Sofia Mussels- Mussels were delightful and the garlic sauce was savory, we saved the sauce to dip our pinsa after, I highly recommend to do the same. Burrata Prosciutto- enjoyed the pistachios toppings and olive oil used is very delicious. Very enjoyable. Carbonara Pinsa- highly recommend to order, this Pinsa is distinctive using applewood bacon and pecorino Romano cheese, topped with an egg. Must break the egg to distribute to the whole entire Pinsa before serving. Calabrese Pinsa- if you want spicy this is the Pinsa for you. It was very cheesy, and I enjoyed the basil as well. Baby Gem Ceasaer- the cheesy croutons as a topping made it more delightful. Suppli Al Tartufo- surprisingly very appetizing, we ordered an extra piece so we can share for a party of 4, everyone seem to have loved it. Lasagna Al Fornio- our host recommended and we smashed it in 5 minutes. Polpettine- meatballs were luscious and rich. Butterscotch Budini- must get, it's heavenly and worth the calories. As someone who has once lived in Italy, this restaurant hit the spot!! The food was AMAZING, service 10/10, and the ambiance was like no other. If I lived in the area I would definitely be a regular. I've been here many times and every time the service and food has been great. There are ALOT of Italian places in Los Angeles and a lot of pizza places but I think that the mushroom pizza at oste is hands down the BEST. I've ordered it every time. They're so generous with the mushrooms, and the truffle oil smells heavenly. The bottom has a slight crunch to it but the dough is also chewy, just heavenly. Every time I have a friend visiting I recommended them to go try this pizza specifically. Another item I love is the broccoli. It's just a side dish but it's insane. Oste is truly amazing! We were looking for a restaurant to have an impromptu date night and Oste came up (on Yelp) as closeby to us. We must have missed the opening with not eating out as much/coronavirus, etc. Oste promises Roman-style cuisine (each region of Italy does things just a bit differently). So far, we've been twice and each visit was superb. The restaurant is beautifully designed but warm and accessible. There is also a generous covered patio for outdoor eating. There are starters, pizza, pasta, desserts and mains on the menu. So far we've ordered a couple of the starters (raddichio and baby beet salads), fries, and dessert. Each dish has been memorable...and that's really saying something. I would have to say that Oste's pizza - made roman style with rice flour - is a standout and is now our favorite in Los Angeles. It is that good. The crust is pliable with just the right amount of crunch. Dessert is fantastic and the portions are fairly generous. Tiramisu is great as was the olive oil cake (I believe an old family recipe according to our attentive and helpful server). We will be back! Oste is highly recommended. read more

Dear Oste Beverly Hills Team, I hope this message finds you well. I'm a regular customer at Oste and have always enjoyed bringing my friends and family to your restaurant. I truly love the food and typically order the same two dishes -- the Chicken Milanese and the Spaghetti Amatriciana -- both of which have consistently been excellent. However, I recently placed an order through DoorDash, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the flavor of the Spaghetti Amatriciana was still good, the dish contained an excessive amount of fat -- far more than what I've ever experienced before. I've ordered this dish at least five times in the past, and the amount of fat this time was noticeably different. I called the restaurant to share my concern and was told that the meat used is fattier and that the fat adds flavor, which I understand. I was also asked to take a picture of the dish, which I did. After work, I went to Oste in person to follow up, hoping for a resolution. Unfortunately, the manager I spoke with was not very understanding. While he reiterated that the meat comes from a pig's cheek and is naturally fatty -- even gesturing to his own cheek to explain -- the interaction left me feeling dismissed rather than heard. I'm disappointed not only because the dish was a waste of food but also because I expected a more thoughtful response given my loyalty to your restaurant. I genuinely enjoy Oste and have always appreciated the quality of your food, which makes this experience all the more disheartening. I hope other people have a better experience. Complaints happen for a reason. Some people don't want a ton of fat in their meals.. and that shouldn't be an issue. And it has never been one, until now. read more

Eating this pizza is a religious experience. The Roman style pizza dough is not to thin and not too thick. The bottom has the perfect crunch. The marzano tomato sauce is so unique and flavorful and the cheese is a perfect match. We also opted for the fresh cool buratta on top - it is delicious but not necessary The mushroom with truffle pizza was also delicious but to me the margherita is the way to go. The service was good but the girl I believed was overwhelmed so she was slow on getting drinks but the gentlemen cleaning up the tables were on it. Amazing Italian place in weho that specializes in pinsa - a Roman style of pizza. The dough was some of the best I've ever had - it was delicious, chewy, and anazing. Definitely get a pinsa here, they are so good. We also loved the oxtail ragu tagliatte and the octopus - the cauliflower purée and salsa that came with the octopus was so flavorful and highlighted it perfectly. Went here for the first time last night for my birthday. It was on my daughter's list. We already cannot wait to go back! We had rather early reservations (530pm on Saturday) and were seated right away. The service was outstanding, attentive and thoughtful, well-staffed and notably all male throughout the whole front of house. The meal was outstanding. Absolutely delicious. Highlights were the prawns and the pista, oh and the panna cotta. Every dish was so fresh and flavorful, portion size was perfect, we loved it all. When the bill came, I had to do a double take. We had three apps, three entrees, three cappuccino, a glass of wine and dessert. I feared sticker shock, and it was! But not in the usual way. I really liked that that had different ways they prepared their mussels. I was able to choose one that fit my dietary preferences. The mussels were very fresh. The salad was also really good. A must try in LA. I recommend this place to everyone I know. We had a reservation for 8pm but weren't seated until 8:10 which is okay but they have no waiting area, there also isn't a host stand so you just have to hunt someone down or hope they see you come in to ask to seat you. The food (pinsa and the oxtail pasta) is amazing, very flavorful and cooked to perfection. I would skip their bread and oil, I've had much better at chain restaurants unfortunately. Do try their drinks though! Perfectly poured and balanced. We ordered a red wine and a spritz. Our waiter was very very sweet and attentive the whole night. A true gem in LA that we need more of.
