There weren't many customers on this cold Thursday night, and the pizzas came out pretty quick once we ordered at the desk which was great because I was pretty hungry. Meatball ricotta basil pizza was soo so yummy. The sauce was a bit runny so I had to grab a fork to grab parts that fell off but it was still delicious. Would definitely recommend trying this flavor! Went with my vegan friend who said that Otto has done a better job at offering more vegan/vegetarian options than when he last went a few years ago. As a world renowned pizza connoisseur I'd only be able to bestow upon this establishment a food score of 3. At the end of the day it's pizza something so easy to make yet challenging to master. The sauce was lacking in balance holding itself much further acidic pH wise. Service though was spectacular, we were provided free waters and a great deal. Have walked by this place so many times since moving here and decided that I should probably try it at least once to see if it was any good. I am glad I did! Perused their online menu and noticed a number of, shall I say, "unique" pizza topping combinations before finding a couple that looked interesting to me. (I will say, if you are into unique offerings and/or need gluten free or vegan options, OTTO has plenty.) In the end, I settled on a pineapple, bacon, and hot honey 12" pie, which came in at just under $17 with tax. And, while I'm not likely to be able to pony up that kind of money every day I need lunch, I suppose that's not terrible for Comm Ave restaurants. The pizza itself was delicious! Loved the combo of pineapple, bacon, and hot honey! Though I make fun of the "unique" combos at OTTO, this one was surely a hit with me - and next time I've got my eye on the pepperoni, hot honey, and goat cheese pizza. OTTO has been on my list for a while and I'm happy that I was finally able to give it a try. From best to just alright are: 1. Mashed Potato, Bacon, and Scallion: a really unique combination and taste exactly like a baked potato but way better. Points for originally and overall tastiness. 2. Spicy Pulled Pork, Sausage, Pepperoni: what I considered a "classic" pizza. What I expected from essentially a meat lovers pizza and it delivered. 3. Pineapple, Bacon, Hot Honey: this was my least favorite. Compared to the other two pizzas, it didn't hit the spot for a pizza. We went here for just a pizza, and it did not go well. For a start, the entire interior is old, worn out, and needs remodeling. Later, we got our water in glasses and a larger pitcher to pour some more, which was nice, but unlike some others, I prefer to consume my food from a more clean environment, so we would prefer one use cups instead of the glasses. We ordered our pizza, and then they went forward and took our order. The wait time however was 25-35 minutes, which was outrageous compared to some other pizza places which take less than 10 minutes for a full custom pizza. When it did finally arrive, the pizza was tasteless and floppy, and completely unsalted, so we had to add salt manually. The crust was also rock solid and not chewable, and grease would drip out of the edge of the pizza onto my hand every time I took a bite. As for the price, it came out to be more than $40 for a small pizza and two additional slices with a lemonade, which is totally overpriced for the quality of the food and interior environment. Would not generally recommend, although the employees might have provided slightly better service than some other pizzerias. read more

I'm not much of a writer and do not do reviews hardly at all, but this BU OTTO location is too good to keep a secret. If you like pickup, take out, thin crust artisan pizza, then this is the place you want to try. I like to craft my own pie and these guys do it right every time. They also have a great menu to choose from. The staff is friendly and polite. The chef there obviously takes pride in their craft as the pizzas are consistently delicious, with evenly distributed toppings and consistent crust thickness. I like all OTTO Pizza locations, but I drive a little further for this one. read more

Ordered Otto Pizza on a Saturday afternoon while working long on campus. Placed an order for delivery (so I wouldn't have to leave my building and stop the productivity that was happening...or something like that). Ordered two small pizzas to share. One was the Otto Four Cheese pizza and the other was the mushroom, herb, and ricotta pizza. The estimated delivery was 40-55 minutes. Only about 25-30 minutes later, I got a call that the pizza delivery man was downstairs outside my building with my pizzas. Yay! The pizzas were fresh and piping hot. The thin crust was cooked to perfection and not burnt. The Otto Four Cheese: heaven. Globs of ricotta (in a good way), perfect blend of herbs and spices. A simple but classic cheese pizza. The Mushroom and Ricotta: again, glorious globs of ricotta and the mushroom were big and cooked perfectly (not slimy or rubbery). Overall, pleased with Otto Pizza and will definitely hit them up for more late-night delivery whenever grad school shackles me to this building. read more

First, my account was deleted and I had to create a new one and went through the wringer trying to reset my password etc. Second, all my points were deleted meaning that my loyalty to this company was disrespected and all my discounts were lost. Third, both locations near me in Allston, MA claim to not deliver at 9pm. I sign in to UberEats and delivery is available (with a much inflated price of course). I actually really liked Otto Pizza, but with their new anti-customer updates I will never order from here again.
