While driving past this establishment, someone asked how is this still in business? My unscripted response was "boomer night out!" Since then, this has become a colloquial phrase used with my friends and we decided to check it out to see what the fuss was all about. Boomer night out and Outback Steakhouse did not disappoint! I highly recommend buying discounted Outback Steakhouse gift cards from Costco to save some money because who can afford to pay full price (in this economy)! The restaurant was busy but the staff were accommodating to my group of 10+ and the food was hot and fresh, the cocktails were nicely priced (although lighter on the alcohol).

Solid Experience with Great Service, Slight Miss on the Steak I recently dined at Outback Steakhouse and ordered the filet mignon, requesting it be cooked medium plus since my last "medium" order was closer to rare. Unfortunately, the steak came out more medium well this time, which wasn't what I had hoped for. I didn't send it back because I didn't want to disrupt the flow of the evening, so I did my best to enjoy it. On a positive note, the wedge side salad and sweet potato were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. What really made the visit worthwhile, though, was the excellent service from Akine and Shareef. They were both attentive, friendly, and professional, which helped balance out the slight disappointment with the steak but the ambiance was on point with the vibe. My only suggestion would be to ensure the kitchen staff understands the nuance between medium plus and medium well. It's a small but important distinction--especially when dealing with premium cuts like filet mignon. All in all, it was a good experience. With just a bit more attention to steak temperature, it would've been perfect!

Great steaks, Ahi Tuna, raspberry cheese cake and specialty cocktail Tiki Bandit. Awesome!!!!

Food was GREAT. Full of seasoning but not too much. Easy to customize my order (picky eater). The waiters were friendly & attentive. & understood dining with kids (HUGE plus!).

Always have pretty reliable experiences at Outback. You know what you're getting and what to expect. The bloomin onion was great as always. the caesar salad was delicious, and they gave us extra dressing. My friend's steak came out pretty rare and was cut wrong, and they offered to make his whole meal over, which was so nice of them. Overall it was a peaceful dinner and everything was delicious!

Celebrated a family member's birthday - we chose this location- one of our favorite steak houses - Excellent service & hospitality-- juicy tender ribeye entrees with a side salad - baked potato- so much food - a to go tray was necessary. Even though it was busy - our server was friendly & efficient- plus hardly no wait time for our food. Different team members brought our food and whatever else we requested. The hostess greeted us warmly and opened the door for us. The parking lot is level - easy access from vehicle to the entrance- A great location situated in Durham NC - close to Chapel Hill & major interstates and routes

Took my niece here for a quick date and we had a good time. Service was top notched but baby that food was not! My niece enjoyed her pasta but my shrimp was cold, my steak had no flavor and those Brussels sprouts tasted weird.

    I thought salads were green!

Not the usual good service here. No refill on the tea. The steak itself was quite good.

What a terrible experience. The location wasn't busy at all and we started off with a long wait time, for any service. When the server finally arrived, she was grumpy, but reasonably polite. We ordered food, one steak arrived freezing cold and was sent back straight away. It arrived back, a tad warm, but not like it should've typically been. the baked potato looked like it was smothered in oil, looked and tasted old. We began to "eat" Out other steak, was also just warm, but was very hard to cut even with a steak knife, it was not any sinue it was just hard. I then moved onto my baked potato and on my 2nd bite, I felt something hard in my mouth, It need broken my tooth off. I took it out, only to find a "SCREW" in the food. I called the server to call the manager. She finally arrived after 5 minutes and I showed her the issue, to which she apologized. I told her I felt sick and wanted to throw up just thinking that this was in my mouth about to be swallowed. I told her that I would not be paying for the food and that I would be leaving. She said that was ok to do that. I asked her if it was her what would she have done/said, I was told that she would've told the server and asked for a replacement. Her attitude towards me and my family was condescending and damn right rude. I asked her if this was her would she pay for it, to which I was told "yes". Her approach to it was non caring, didn't give a crap. Either way, I asked her does she want me to pay for it, to be told, "well you dont wanna pay for it, so what can I do" If I was in her shoes, I would've have shown some empathy, and telling my customers that this issue would be dealt with swiftly, with nothing to pay. So, I ask.. Bad food, Metal Screws in customers food. What kind of operation is being ran there? I feel ill. this was my first, and now last experience at outback, I will never go again. I have also logged a complaint with HQ.

Even a month ahead of time, so good luck). But don't let it stop you if you don't have reservations, just be smart. We've learned to arrive when they open, because the bar and the high-tops in the bar area are all first-come first serve. There are times we've had just drinks and an appetizer/rolls or dessert. Other times we've gone for a full meal. Most recent visit was Saturday before an 8pm show at DPAC, and I heard words that I've never heard before that made me love them even more. "We will hold your leftovers for you until after the show". Uh, big heart for me! And smart for them, because we would not have ordered dessert otherwise, and I would have been sad to have had to waste even a bite of my fave, the roast chicken. Husband declared his "wedge" salad and filet to be perfection, and nothing makes him happier than a couple Dirty Durham's, while I can always find a nice glass of wine. We tried the Apple Crisp for dessert along with a couple coffees, and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The Service was also terrific, as always. Always. And sure enough, my leftovers were bagged up and ready and waiting when we got out of the show. Just when I thought they couldn't possibly get better, they did.

I arrived as soon as the doors opened at 4pm on a cold & windy Sunday. Dining at Nana Steak was a last minute decision and I didn't have a reservation. The bar area is first come, first served. The actual bar filled up really quickly, but I was able to grab a 4 top table even though I was a party of 1. Nana Steak has an intimate and welcoming vibe and the service is amazing. Jared was my server and he was the best!! I started with the soup of the day, cream of spinach. The flavor was awesome, and as Jared mentioned, it wasn't a heavy creamy soup, it was light and delicious. For my entree I ordered the 6 oz Filet medium, it was cooked perfectly and had the best flavor. I didn't really need a knife it was so tender. For my side, I chose the potato puree (mashed potatoes) and they were like whipped silk, and seasoned perfectly. I made sure to save room for dessert and I'm so glad I did. The chocolate silk pie complimented my glass of red wine perfectly. I ate every bite. I definitely recommend dining at Nana Steak, make a reservation if you can. I hear the cheeseburger and the rolls are both delicacies, they only make a certain amount a day. Make sure you ask your server about the specials of the day that aren't on the regular menu.

First, I made a reservation for 7 PM on Saturday so we could go shopping and then grab dinner afterwards. I understand that a lot of other people probably had a similar approach, but I was disappointed that the restaurant was running behind and we were seated about 20 minutes late. That being said, I heard the hostess tell a group of 4 people without a reservation that their wait time would be 3 and a half hours (!). Of course, that group immediately walked out, but that's pretty crazy, especially because I think the restaurant was closing at 11 PM. While we were waiting to be seated, we grabbed a table in the bar area and ordered a drink. The staff member who took our order was nice but it did take longer than expected to get the drinks, probably because it was so busy. They may need to hire more staff to handle the onslaught of customers, I guess :) Anyway, eventually we were seated in a booth, and the dinner commenced! Our server was nice but was pretty absent throughout our meal, which was a little frustrating. The beer menu had an OK selection, although time for a little rant: I was a little confused by the "By the handle" and "By the neck" categorizations. Of course I kind of intuitively knew this meant draft and bottled beer, but "by the handle" is such a weird way of describing draft beer to me, since you have handles of liquor, etc. My wife pointed out that the "handle" in this case was referring to the handle used to pour the draft beer, in case anyone else didn't immediately get it :) The complimentary bread and butter was pretty decent, so we were off to a good start food-wise. I ordered a "small" Caesar as an appetizer and then got a burger and fries for my entree, while my wife also got the Caesar and the garlic sirloin with mashed potatoes as her entree. I put "small" in quotes because it was actually pretty darn big. I chose not to finish it since I wanted to save room for my entree :) It wasn't bad, though. Eventually (things were slow!), our entrees arrived. My burger and fries were OK, but the fries were unfortunately lukewarm. My wife didn't like her steak because of the intense "smoky" flavor, and it was also supposed to be garlicky, and it definitely wasn't :) I took a bite! The mashed potatoes were decent. Overall, the downsides outweighed the positives for me at Firebirds. I can't imagine coming back here, but if a friend really wanted to hit it up, I wouldn't complain too much :)

But this is where my MiL wanted to go for Mothers Day so my husband and I took her, along with my brother and sister in law. We got there at 11:30 on Sunday and it was pretty busy but not packed yet. Before we even entered the building, an employee handed the women in the party each a rose! What a lovely touch. My MiL is disabled and so we got her situated in the waiting area before going up and adding our party to the wait list. The hostess immediately got us a table and we were seated right away, which was also very nice. Our server was Sierra and she was delightful. She brought us SO MUCH bread and it was so deliciously warm. I try not to eat the bread before the meal so I can eat most of my entree, but this bread is amazing. And with the cinnamon honey butter?! I forgot how yummy it was. All of my in-laws got the smothered chicken with loaded sweet potatoes and house salads as their sides. My husband and I got ribeye's (cooked medium). I got my with a house salad and loaded mased potatoes, while my husband got a Caesar salad and baked potato with butter. Y'all, their salads are really, really good. They were fresh and the croutons are phenomenal. We didn't wait too long for our food which was impressive since it was so busy. Sierra waited for us to cut into our steaks before she walked away. They were cooked perfectly. I thought they were seasoned really well but my husband said his could have used more salt. My mashed potatoes were tasty but my husband wished is baked potato was warmer...he said it wasn't even melting all the butter. The smothered chicken looked good as well. The manager came over at least twice during our meal to make sure that everything was ok. When Sierra brought us our check, she told us there was no rush, which was kind but we left as soon as we could since they were packed. I'm not sure if they are under new management, but the service we received exceeded expectations. I was very pleased. My only complaint (which there is really nothing they can do about this) is the noise level. It was so loud that it was difficult to hear my soft spoken MiL. The hostess tried to find me a glass that wasn't stained but never returned. I ended up passing on water. I would suggest improving the glasses by removing the stains or getting new ones. I would also recommend a better clean-up of the seating after each guest. I saw a few crumbs. Parking was effortless. A parking deck is right across the street. It's free on the weekends.

The Angus Barn is a MUST if you are around the Raleigh area. We can't get enough of it!…read more From prime rib that melts in your mouth to kabobs, this place has it all. Christmas time is beautiful, as they decorate the ceiling with garments and ornaments and other decorations around the massive restaurant, but reservations are needed no later than 6 months in advance. If you're fine waiting 3 hours for a table max, then you will be fine. Every single time we come to Angus Barn, something is different. Now they give you a soup or salad with your meal, along with bread! The cheese and crackers are famous among the people and are a great way to start your meal. The bread is so fresh also! All components in their house salad is great. Everything is awesome! The prime rib is tender and has such good flavor. Their mac n' cheese is the way to go. Their recipe is constantly changing. Like what I previously said, something is different every time you come to Angus Barn. The chocolate chess pie is the best I've had. This is a MUST when dining at Angus Barn. You HAVE to get the chocolate chess pie. The service is some of the best in the restaurant business and all do a great job at explaining things. So kind and professional! Once again, if you're around Raleigh and don't come to Angus Barn, you are missing out. I highly recommend you come. So good!
