I just want to say the server was the bomb! I've only eaten at Outback maybe three or four times and I have no complaints. I ordered the Queensland chicken & shrimp pasta. Not too bad. I will say that the chicken was a little burnt on the edges, but I'm sure it helped with digestion lol I also got the smaller version of the blooming onion. I believe it's called the blooming petals. I've been to this location twice now since it is down the street from my job. Both times have been good experiences. My steak this time was much more salty than the last time, but it was mostly the seasonings on top so I scrapped it off. I did however order a rare plus steak, and it was more on the medium to medium rare side. The asparagus and broccoli were fresh and not overly seasoned. I really liked the grilled shrimp. The waitress was a bit slower today than the one we had last time. The manager came by and asked how our experience was and everyone had nice things to say. I think I am a bit more picky when it comes to food because I wouldn't have picked a chain restaurant for lunch. read more

We came here and had awful service, which was eventually made up for by the head of wait staff and the manager coming to check on us and watching the table eventually, but that's not why I'm writing a review. I left my backpack, as we were in town for business and the waiter that served us, Avery, was going thru my backpack and stealing my medical marijuana, papers, and grinder, when I walked back in the establishment to get my belongings he had it on the table rolling with my own papers, at the table we were sitting at. All of my make up and prescription drugs were in the booth, he tried to get me to leave to bring it out to me as he tried to hide stealing from me. My husband confronted him and the manager watched on the side lines and did not intervene to apologize for any of his behavior after listening to our conversation. He stole my belonging and we even tipped well when it wasn't even deserved. Will never return here and expect a lot better of the company. read more

Got takeout today. Not the great food i know to expect from outback. The salad was dry and had no dressing. I had asked for extra dressing. The steak was ribeye no bone and the bigger size. The cut of meat i got was not the right size. It was the worse cut of meat i have ever seen. It was order medium rare. It was well done. Boy outback you have lost your way. Most likely the best Outback experience I've ever had! I was greeted and seated right away. Had the seared ahi for an app, which came out perfectly and quickly. Then the bone in ribeye came out. Tasted even better than it looked. Highly recommend the garlic butter topping. The place was clean. The vibe was good. Everyone was friendly. Even the manager Holly came by to check in. She genuinely seemed like she cared about my response and thanked me for my business. If you are in or around the Irving area, I highly recommend giving this Outback a shot! Only downsides were I couldn't finish my steak and they use these cheap ceramic mini "skillets" for the sides. Sides got cold to quick. I would think real mini iron skillets would be about the same cost and last longer. Anywho, that's just my opinion. read more

Didn't want to buy some steak and cook it at home. Decided to drop by here after work and sat in the bar area. At first I sat at the actual bar so I could watch some sports. Decided to just hog up a booth made for 4-6 people. It was empty at the time anyway. Ordered the Bone-In Ribeye with my sides being a House Salad and Mashed Potatoes. Food took some time so I enjoyed a beer and the complimentary bread and butter. And then my salad came. Then my steak came. Had to ask for straight horseradish to kick it up a notch. Good stuff. Don't know if the food here is any good in fact we didn't get served at all, when we arrived there were 2 girls in front chatting away then looked at each other guess trying to figure out who's turn it was to go sit us, well we waited a good 15 minutes and no one ever came to even take order. We looked around the almost empty restaurant and the few employees in there never acknowledged us, so we decided to leave, as we were walking out the one of the girls was like bye have a nice day, what the hell? really. Hope management @ this Outback can do better at hiring people that want to work, but we ended up driving to the new roadhouse in Irving all I can say is damn they are on point, that place was busy but we were greeted by at least 5 people were sat right away and had someone at our table within 15 seconds to take our drink order, amazing! I've been a number of times, and I have held off reviewing. Before you read please note for full disclosure - the manager did take the meal off the bill, that earned them another star. The service was good however the order was screwed up. I ordered the fish tacos and received the steak tacos. No big I am ok with both. However the meat was nearly raw and was terribly fatty. Given its low cooking temp it also was "cool". While they did offer to replace it, I was limited on time and opted out. In essence I couldn't eat the meal. Basically there seems to be little concern generally from the kitchen as my co worker noted that he has had the beef several times and it arrived blue (nearly raw). I won't return sadly. On a closing note - again the manager did take care of the bill but the root cause is a problem with the kitchen. read more

Was very disappointed with my visit. First of all they were 100% out of draft beers. When she rent through the list of non-draft I asked for the first option "we are out of that too". Very disappointing. I had ordered soup to have before my steak, soup never came. When they brought out my steak, in inquired about the soup. The manager then offered to take the steak back and keep it warm but by that point it would be a piece of shoe leather. At the end the manager just offered a "dessert" but I was already full and wanted to get back to my hotel. Very disappointing. read more

Oct 9 2023 my husband and I returned to Outback after our previous visit Sept 18th on a Tuesday. They have a special on Tuesday with steak and Lobster for$24.00 .On the 9th of October the manager on duty let us have the special for Tuesday as I explain I work most Tuesdays and can not come in on that day. Nov 4th we went back to Outback and wanted the same special that they offer on Tuesdays. The manager on duty said he was going to make my day and give us the Tuesday special. When the waitress came to take our order he changed his mind and said he had no way to override the price.When my meal did arrive my Lobster was a size of a crayfish. I did not feel for the price we were paying it was fair for such a small portion of Lobster. They advertise NO Rules logo on their shirts and on your receipt.I Payed $33.78 for the steak and Lobster. I was charged$14.49 for a tiny lobster.Apparently you need to stop advertising NO RULES JUST RIGHT. read more

I'm glad you guys was next door to Applebee's. Believe it or not this place was my first choice. So I got greeted within a two minutes of walking in the door. The management was extremely helpful, including my waiter I received excellent service with a sense of humor. I definitely will make this a ritual to come back. Only thing that was good was the drinks, but you can not mess up a beer. I been going to this restaurant since it opened with my Dad at least twice a month. Because he liked this restaurant and I always got tge french onion soup and classic Prime rib with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Well my Dad passed away in 2015 and I stopped going to this outback because of the memory. Well 2023 I started going back went about Five times. Ordered the blossom onion and it was saturated in grease and tasted nasty. In the five times I been back had the Classic Prime Rib the first three times the prime rib was fine. The 4th and 5th time the prime rib was fatty i asked for medium rare got rare. The staff is rude they are always standing around gossiping with the bartender Curtis. He thinks his remarks are funny when he responds to customers but they are actually rude he needs customer service training. I will be taking my business to Saltgrass and will not go back to this outback. read more

my husband could have chosen anywhere in the city for his belated birthday dinner and he chose outback. he was feeling nostalgic. we have frequented this location for years and years. last night's visit was pretty low on the totem pole. our server was nice, but appeared to be more involved with talking to the table next to us about a cover band they both liked. we were seated quickly, but there was no silverware at our table. we told her and then had to remind her again. we got onion petals for app and they were super greasy. this was when we asked for the napkins the first time... we ordered two top shelf margaritas and found out later that we had an option of tequila. she selected patron on our behalf, which was fine, but the margarita didn't taste like it was made with patron. second round, we both ordered the blood orange margarita and only one of the glasses had a salted rim. our salads were pretty sad and didn't have much dressing on them. instead of bothering the server who was talking about rock bands, we just stacked the bowls and had them taken away after a few bites. my entree was great. i had the salmon with the shrimp topping with potatoes. my husband got a prime rib, medium rare, with garlic butter topping, sautéed mushrooms, a lobster tail, loaded baked potato, and a glass of red wine. no complaints on the entrees! read more

I love Outback. And I think this location USED to do a good job. But I have had two steaks now that were not cooked right. Once they offered to redo it, but it took Fort ever. For Mother's Day they really messed things up on our special day. I regret sharing the holiday with Outback. I am really thinking about calling Corporate to let them know how things are done at this location. The steak was marbled, not cooked properly and the sweet potato was smaller then the average small tomato. And our drinks sat at the bar for 10 minutes as the ice melted. So since my daughter and I were sheltering in for the evening we decided on steak dinner delivery! They have a bone in rib-eye and a boneless ribeye...I opted for the bone in, loaded mash and a Caesar salad. My daughter got boneless ribeye and salad and Mac and cheese! Her meal was fine! My meal was ruined by the worst cut of meat I've ever been served... if you ever wondered where all the silver skin is it was all in that steak! Of course I pulled out a steak knife and got caught at every turn in silver skin... the loaded mash were dry and needed more seasoning and the Caesar salad was unimaginative but in its defense the dressing was very good! Perhaps they were having a bad night, but while I can overlook an improperly cooked steak I find it hard to forgive a substandard cut of meat that bore no resemblance to its description! I ate at Outback for the first time ever this past Saturday. I will admit that I've never been to an Outback because I'd heard so many people say how mediocre they all were. I had a gift card and admittedly only went because of that and my expectations were low, but whoa! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Both the food and the service were very good. The complimentary fresh-baked pumpernickel bread was tasty. We both got the sirloin/lobster tail deal--$15 for my 8 oz steak portion and $18 for his 10 oz, which I thought was very well-priced. Both of our steaks were tender and cooked perfectly to order. For my vegetable, I got the tortilla soup (odd to order at a steakhouse, I know, but any place that has it, I have to try it) and it came out nice and HOT and was 5 times better than a bowl I got at an "authentic" Mexican restaurant a few days prior to this. I have a lot of other restaurants to try in DFW, so I don't know how soon I'll be back to an Outback. However, if ever someone were to mention it as a dining option, I definitely would not scoff at the suggestion. This location in specific is doing something right. read more

Talk to me all day long about how you don't do chains. I don't care. I have found Outback, for the most part, to be consistently good at their price point. My wife and I visited this location after a wet and disappointing shopping experience at the nearby Honda dealership. It was almost 9pm and we were HUN-GRY! I've become a fan of prime rib of late. I chose the 12-ounce cut on this visit and asked them to prepare it "Outback Style". This option was removed from the menu several years ago, but they'll still do it upon request: slice the steak, season it with their spice mix, then sear it on the grill just long enough to seal the seasoning flavors into the meat. Served with raw horseradish and ample au jus sauce, it is one of my favorite restaurant meals. Yes, at a chain. Get over it. read more

I've been twice, both times the staff was hanging around the hostess stand talking and doing nothing. The first time there was an overly loud customer having issues with people at her table. It disrupted the entire restaurant, and the staff did nothing but walk around with that deer in headlights look. But I can deal with a chatty, clearly inexperienced staff if the food is good. However the main problem with the food is not consistent. First time I went I was good, I enjoyed the food, I felt it was a decent value for the price. Things were seasoned well, and it made us feel like returning. Second time it was just boring, no real flavor, just blah food.
