Outback Steakhouse is a worst of the worst. I usually never order anything from them, but I don't know why I decided to get a Cobb Salad today. To call this concoction a salad would be way too much. Every time I visit, the steaks are undercooked. It's fine if you like it still blue and cold on the inside. The manager took it back and it was still undercooked. By the time it was cooked properly on the inside, the outside was charred. The manager made the steak free, but the second time it was a failure should have resulted in a new piece of steak. Went today for lunch with my family. 80% empty restaurant at that time. It took about 20min for a server to even show up and take our drink order. After 20 more minutes of nothing happening we decided to leave. 40minutes and not even water or bread got to the table. Not even sure what to say, we're pretty loyal outback customers but this key west location is just a different breed of management and service. We had a great dinner at this restaurant. Alejandro was out server and was very friendly and efficient. He checked on us four times during our meal. My fiance had a porterhouse steak and it was cooked to perfection, medium rare. I had the salmon. The side salad was a nice mixture and their coconut shrimp is to die for! We asked to speak with the manager so that we could give a compliment to Alejandro's service. Jack, the manager came over and expressed his appreciation for the nice comments and said that Alejandro had only been there a short time and how pleased he was with his work. I know were in Key West what are we doing hitting an Outback? Well we were going to a show we were short of time, and this was logistically good for where we had to be so how bad could it be? It was pretty bad and I used to be an outback fan but man this was bad. Very nice server takes our drink orders and we start with the ONION PETALS which is basically a small blooming onion. What it really was, was all the petals the fell off other peoples blooming onions and then fried again to the point of burnt put on a dish and served as a fresh dish. OMG was this terrible. The French Onion soup tasted like DIRTY DISHWATER with cheese melted over the top. We brought this to the attention of our server who sent the manager over who removed the soup from the bill and offered us a complimentary glass of wine OK good reply to situation. A wedge salad was simply ok while the house salad is a far cry of what used to come with the steak. The Center Cut Sirloin was tasty but thin and loaded with salt while both baked potatoes were Ice Cold and provided the wrong toppings on one particular cold potato. Bill comes and the onion soup and extra glass of wine are still on the bill. In short folks as Outbacks go this one is a total and epic failure.. PASS! read more

The food was very iffy but it wasn't to bad. But I think the worst part of that whole place is the smell, it just doesn't smell clean and it also doesn't look very clean. I had a dirty napkin with stuff all over it under my seat. But overall I don't think that I would go back again because of the uncleanliness. But if you want to eat there fair warning all of their food is overly oily and greasy. I'm not a picky person but when it come to dinning at a restaurant, there are basic standards / rule that all restaurants follow. First off don't seat me at a dirty table. That is a no no especially during covid, Table shall be cleared for the next course. It pisses me off while I'm eating my first course, they bring out the second course and expect me to move my food / plate and other things on the table to make room for the second course. It doesn't take 20 mins for a cocktail. And not remove the empty glass pisses me off. Top this off. It was the manager that ran my second course. I politely asked him for a side of sauce. And he neglected to bring me the sauce after waiting for 10 mins. Had to ask a busser for it. I've been coming to this Outback for years. Was full of locals and had great food and service. That has all changed. Over the past few years, every experience has gotten worse and worse. First it was the condition of the bathrooms.....I'm a nurse and these bathrooms would make you're skin crawl! Absolutely disgusting and completely unattended to. The food has taken a nose dive in recent years. No attention to detail, sloppy presentation and bland, flavorless. Lastly and most importantly, the service is horrendous. My daughter waited 20 minutes for a server to acknowledge us, 20 more for drinks AND we both ordered salads......30 more minutes. No apology, no "I'm sorry for the delay" just an irritated l, aloof waitress, as if we were annoying her. Never spending a dime here again! Will continue to support local businesses instead. One word. Horrendous. The place had an odd odour upon walking in, extremely displeasing and should've left right there. Unfortunately, we stayed. The only memorable thing was the grilled shrimp on the barbie appetiser; the garlic bread that accompanied it was amazing. Everything else from the grilled salmon, lobster tails, filet mignon was terrible. I had requested the salmon to be "medium," well I told the waiter to let the chef know not to overcook it. When I received it, the outside was charred to filth and the interior was so dry. Extremely heavy on the salt. Also got a side of broccoli with each entree and you get one or two pieces of broccoli because each was half the size of a head of broccoli. Is there no decency to cut in into smaller pieces? The lobster tail... man... I knew most places serve frozen lobster tails but this time, the frozen taste was overwhelming. It was lacking in flavour and was a bit sour. The filet mignons, both ordered medium rare, were extremely undercooked. Even rarer than "rare." Garlic butter was ordered on one of them and it was sour? Interesting init. When my boyfriend and I arrived the host lead us to a table that wasn't clean so she redirected us to a table that sits right next to a slamming door and our silverware had old food stuck on it.
