Ryan W. restored our faith in Outback! We had so many bad experiences over the years in so many locations that we gave up. All of this was due to unacceptable service. Our friends asked us to meet them at this location. We got there about 6:30 pm and it did take a while for someone to get to the table. Then Ryan shows up. All I can say is, this guy knows what he is doing. Gave us full attention when he was at our table. We were not rushed, he answered any questions & he knows his wine! This chain needs to update their menu. Overall pretty fair value for the quality of food offered. Seems like the Outback Steakhouse is stuck in a loop that is not nearly as innovative as it was twenty years ago. Still you can find a few locations where individuals overcome the corporate lethargy that points them in the direction of Applebees or dwindling franchisees. I recently visited the Lake Worth Outback. It was not overly busy for a Friday night, but there was an exodus of couples settling for bar service instead of table service. Kayla the bartender handled drinks, service, and the entire bar for twenty or so customers with extreme professionalism and exhausting patience. Still it was too much for a single individual. I could tell she truly cared about her customers. As far as the actual food, multiple mix ups. I believe my prime rib was served to another person. It took a little finesse to get horseradish after being told they were suddenly out! In the end, most of the negativity of my experience comes from poor management and training of the employees. When you go to a steak house and the best things you come away with is the scoop of ice cream, the bartender, and the Gingerbread Man Martini we're the highlight of the evening, should make the board members at Outback Steakhouse begin to question the restaurant's direction. I can not give this chain a full recommendation. In my eyes, one employee's efforts made most of the miscues seem tolerable. Recently I made it to Outback since I was in the immediate area and wanted a steak, nothing fancy. Sat at the bar and was met by Nina, whose service was 5-stars. She was helpful and took time to get to know us. Nina recommended the prime rib as the most tender and tasty. I ordered the 16oz. I remembered their house salad as a tasty start and ordered that, My girlfriend had a filet. The only reason I gave them 4-stars was because of the salad and potato. The salad seemed bland and did not have the cheese, tomatoes, etc. that I recalled. The loaded baked was skimpy on the toppings, the steak was another story. The prime rib came out hot was a side of au jus. It was one of the tastiest pieces of prime rib I have had in quite a while. It was cooked perfectly and cut like butter. Certainly something I would come back and order. My girlfriend's filet came out and was a little overdone on the edge. Nina immediately had a manager at out side to fix the issue. A cut in the middle of the filet showed that only one edge was overdone. Overall the service and entree were 5-stars. 4 Stars is for a culmination of all the visits I have had here. I wanted to review this location after my experience last night with Manager Kevin and Server Deborah. We were seated promptly ( host team seamed a bit unorganized) I normally see Heather during the day. She is fantastic!! Employee of the year material. After seated Deborah came and took drinks and the meal went on. We had a Major Delay in food service starting with our appetizer and then our meals. It took over 35 mins to get meals. What a truly disappointing take-out order we had. Normally your take out is spot on when we call from home and do curbside pick up. My boyfriend ordered at the bar and waited while the food was being prepared. It was the most unappealing food we've had from outback ever. The Caesar salad maybe had two croutons four pieces of Romain lettuce and a couple aspects of cheese. The vegetables consisted of one piece of broccoli two pieces of zucchini and three carrots that were extremely hard. He ordered a big potato and we ended up with mashed potatoes. Went there last night for my wife's Birthday. There were 6 of us (including 2 kids). Service was above average and for the most part on point throughout. The bloomin onion was so greasy and burnt that I wouldn't recommend their signature dish appetizer ever again. Food took longer than usual (40 min ) and it was cool but not hot. My wife's Ribeye was overcooked you medium well to well done and she ordered it medium Rare. They did make that better by getting her a new steak that was cooked right. Don't waste your time and money. I like Outback restrauants but this one has been hit or miss for a long time. I don't get how they can afford to redo my order 8 out of 10 times I eat there. I would love to support them but I have been disappointed too many times. The waiters and waitresses are well trained and good, the issue seems to be in the kitchen. We've been going to this Outback for maybe 20 years.... it really is very inconsistent.... will we be pleased or not?? Last night was a fail on different levels. Bread took too long; napkins and silverware took too long ; salad and soup took too long and then the salmon was very dry and over cooked.... yes it was busy but not crazy busy and yes the atmosphere and seating was comfortable. On a Monday night, we waited outside almost 30 minutes for a table to be ready. We were seated in the bar and our waitress was efficient and friendly. The management , however, I wonder about. The bar was staffed by one older person, moving as fast as she could she couldn't keep up with the orders. We waited almost 30 minutes for water and drinks. Our waitress said the "manager" was coming out to help. A found lady did come behind the bar for about 15 minutes, then disappeared again. We ordered a blooming onion and coconut shrimp as appetizers. The onion was good, but the shrimp were overcooked. We waited forever or our steaks, but they arrived cooked to order as requested. We were not in a hurry tonight, but had we been, we would have been disappointed with the service...not with the waitress, however. She did her best, she can only serve up with the kitchen prepares. Our experience at this location exceeded expectations. We were seated quickly and our server was at our table within a minute. Appetizers were prepared promptly and the drinks were refilled before we asked. All of the food was cooked properly and served at the correct temperature. Eric, our server, was excellent. He checked on us often enough, but didn't overdo it. Eric had a good attitude and made a real effort to make the dining experience pleasant. The only minor negatives were that some diners were a little noisy at times, and my sirloin steak was a little tough. I would definitely visit this location again. read more
