Third time we've been here and the steak is never cooked correctly. We moved from the Jacksonville area and went frequently and never had a problem in twenty years. This location something is always wrong and it's usually our steaks. Don't bother with call ahead seating, two of the times we were there we waited a half hour and didn't get called to our table until everyone waiting before us was seated. The experience was terrible, brought me 2 salads because they brought the wrong one, second one had a 8 in hair in it, we requested silverware 4 times before it came my food was there 10 minutes before I received the silverware, I had a few bites of my food and it was terrible. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. Delivery here is absolutely TERRIBLE. So bad, I've received approximately $100 in tuck away dollars because of their screw ups. Tonight was no different. Had I not had my last tuck away for $10 I wouldn't have ordered. I ordered my food at 7:05 this evening and was told my food would be here within 45mins. After 55 mins of waiting I called just to see how much longer it would be and Sarah tells me "she'll be there any minute she had a couple deliveries." Didn't say goodbye and just hung up. After another 30 mins go by I call back and SARAH ANSWERS. I explain my frustration and ask her to call the driver and call me back with an update. Do you think Sarah called me back? We used the call ahead seating 45 minutes in advance for a party of five. When we got to the restaurant we were told that there was still another 20 minutes in our wait. Was not pleased, if it was going to be over an hour then tell us when we call in. Wife really likes Outback, so we are waiting - may get a chance to review the rest of the evening later. read more

I moved here last year, and have visited The Outback in Viera several times. I have never had a problem, and the food has always been very good, and the service very good, as well. I know on weekend evenings they have a wait, which is typical with any restaurant. I do wish their location was a little larger with outdoor seating, but it is what it is. It has always been clean, and the staff has always been courteous, especially the hosts. If I've ever had to wait for my food, I know that it's a restaurant, and life happens. If I want no wait, then I'll stay home to eat. Outback steaks are a little extra seasoned, but all I've had to say is light on the seasonings, and it was perfect. I was looking at a local doctor's review, and one woman wrote a horrible review. I come here, and the same woman wrote another horrible review for Outback - could it be just the person? So, if you want a nice atmosphere, great drinks, a clean restaurant with good food, an occasional weekend wait - which should tell you that the food is good - then go here. If you're that miserable type of person that complains about everything and everyone, and are rude to the staff, do everyone else a favor - everyone being fellow customers and staff - and stay home. read more

I had written off eating at this particular Outback in the past, but decided to give it one more go. Now I'm done! Ate there last night with husband, daughter and another couple. My 10 oz. ribeye was fatty. My daughters 6 oz. center cut was fatty. The worst, however, were our baked potatoes which were obviously leftover and reheated. The skins, which we love to eat, were not edible. What a complete disappointment. To make matters worse, we got home and all had gastrointestinal issues. Never again! read more

Sorry to say but we have tried this Outback at its current Viera location 6 times and the prior location on Wickham about the same. There is always an issue with the quality and often the service. Tonight we had gift cards from fiends and decided to give them yet another try. My wife had the filet medallions which was recommended by the server, they were cold and the meat was tough and virtually tasteless. I and my colleague had the seafood special with stuffed (soupy and cold shrimp) crab cakes full of filler and minimal crab, the lobster tail was ok in flavor but cold. The manager showed up at the table before we even took a bite of the entree so we did not have any feedback at that time. She never returned. We keep trying and hoping that management would resolve the problems because historically we love Outback food but this location and leadership is very weak. We will go to LoneStar and hope leadership improves the food and service. It is my hope that Outback corporate sees this post and initiates the proper intervention. So for now...I'll call the Viera location we Won't Be Back Steakhouse. Disappointed yet again read more

On labor day ordered a burger , the bartender ask how I would like that. I said Well Done and then said Very Well Done. I even half jokingly said you can burn it a bit. The bread was served without plates the coffee was cold. And it wasn't that busy. 40 minutes later I was served raw burger. Somewhere between the barmaid and the cook communication breakdown. They screwed up an easy order. The most basic of orders. Sometimes im sorry doesn't cut it. The barmaid attitude was OH Well so sorry. We won't be going back. read more

There are times when management makes the decision to "cut" servers when it is slow, however 6:30 on a Tuesday night at this venue was a bit premature. Bartenders, servers were all sharing that "people had gone home, so they were busy." I don't mind waiting, at the same time, I don't like to hear "I am too busy to stuff olives for your martini, or "I can't do that because we are backed up." The food is great, this time, ice cold! Most of the staff amazing. Standards must be set and maintained for me to keep coming back. Walkabout Wednesday special has lots its value. Used to be a three course meal with 6oz steak or chicken and a small dessert plus $1.49 blooming pedal special and only $5 upgrade for larger steak. I have been eating at Outbacks for several years. I always order the Outback Sirloin but I decided to try the Fillet cut for the first time. Whow was it good... juicy, tender and seasoned perfectly. I don't think I can go back to eating sirloin after this. I love the caesar salad too. I do admit restaurant is on the small size and the wait is a bit of a pain on the weekend or holiday. read more

I was recently in your restaurant with a party of 8 celebrating a birthday. I am extremely unhappy with our meal, the prime roast ordered by several people in the party, was awful! Tough to put it mildly. I was really looking forward to tender meat so have decided I will never return again. My bill was almost $200.00, so I think it was a bad deal. I must say your waitress was excellent and the side dishes good, especially the blooming onion. I am extremely happy with the Outback near me, located in Melbourne FL (32940). I am especially happy with the service. Last week, my server, Caleb, was phenomenal , remembering my companion's order from one visit to next even though he'd never been there before (except those two visits). Tonight, server, Tara, was also great. I also met the manager, Christine, who was very accommodating. For me, thoughtful staff makes all the difference, and can be the difference that makes me return to a particular establishment. read more

Went too the Outback in Melbourne last night.The service,salad and bread were very good. Then the ribi. It was the worst steak I have ever had. a way to much seasoning and it might have been no thicker than 1/2 inch and it was not close to med/rare. If I did not have a gift card I would be madder. We went to Outback in between work shifts. We were seated by the hostess. For 5 plus minutes we waited for a server. We saw many standing around chatting. We saw 2-3 servers at one table but No one came to us. Finally, we stopped a server passing by and explained the situation. She was so horrified and super apologetic. Her name was Hadassah. She owned the situation, took our order and served us although this was not her area. She was very attentive throughout our meal. Shortly after, the manager Jess came out apologized profusely. She comped the app and offered us some other goodies. She also checked on us throughout the meal. If it wasn't for her & Hadassah we would have never went back. These two ladies were Outbacks saving grace! That's why they get 5 stars. read more

Worst experience ever don't come here. Very rude hostess very bad service. 8 o clock on a Monday not very busy didn't even get our server or menu till about ten mins sitting at a table. Ordered an app and did not even have our silverware or napkins till we got our entree.. was going to speak to the Manager but she was already getting yelled at by the big party for messing up there order. Went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner tonight. I got the steak quesadilla and GF got the Rack of ribs. The quesadilla was greasy and the ribs were burned on the bottom. They replaced them gladly. Love the staff of the new Outback in Viera! Thanks CB! read more

How disappointing. Really felt for a good steak. We placed our order for the sirloins and about 40 minutes later they arrived. My husband's was beyond well done. It was dry shoe leather. Mine was also dry (and not hot) so our guess was that it had been sitting in the kitchen under heat lamps for a while. They offered to replace them which took another 15 minutes. They came out much better - hot, juicy and not overdone. However the baked potato was under-cooked (but huge) and the carrots and broccoli were crunchy. My husband thinks the under-cooking was due to trying to rush the order. BTW, when we sat down in our booth, we heard the manager come by the booth e behind us and ask if the steaks were now better (did they send theirs back as well?). And before we left, we saw the same manager go by a table across from us to try again to satisfy customers. Their issue was the french onion soup which, and I'm being delicate here, did not at all look appetizing. I guess the kitchen was having an off night, a VERY off night. Felt bad for the manager. The ribeye was way to salty and sent it back to the kitchen. My wife finished her meal while I sat without any contact from management or server. Someone showed up with a new plate of food and I was told to take a bite and I refused because I was completely over it. They handed me a to go container and a gift card for a future visit which will be given away. That 22 dollar ribeye was still on the bill and I was completely shocked. I didn't even want it any longer, but I guess selling that steak that night was way more important than me. I paid $100.00with tip and my obviously new server was not at fault for slow delivery of bread and drinks though the night. I have been to this location 3 times and the fourth will be the last time. I thought management could have been more professional and my service was slow but not a deal breaker. The manager? Said she did not taste the original salty steak because they don't do that. Please don't serve food that you are not willing to test for quality from time to time. The customers are not your guinea pigs. read more
