I was so excited to take my kids to have dinner here. We have been many times and it's always been great. Tonight however, was not. We ordered the bloomin shrimp, mac n cheese bites, and cheese fries. The cheese fries were great. The mac n cheese bites were very bland and fried too hard. The bloomin shrimp was so incredibly salty that my legs and ankles were swollen before we even left. The food was served without napkins, silverware or my kids' drinks. We had to wait about ten minutes after getting the food before we could actually eat since we didn't have our silverware. They really need to revamp the menu and fix these things. Originally going somewhere else to celebrate my mom's birthday but ended up here. Called ahead and put our name on the waitlist for 7:30. Arrived at 7:25 and we were seated just after 8. We placed our orders and that is where the problems started. Shortly after taking our order, the waitress comes back and says that they don't have any hamburger. We ordered the replacements and continued waiting. Fast forward to when we finally get our food and everything was lukewarm. The chicken wings were raw, the mashed potatoes were cold, stiff and had chunks of potato. The steaks were also cold and raw (ordered medium well). The birthday girl ended up returning her food and not eating. The manager came and offered to remake everything to make it better. One of the plates that was remade came out salty. I must say, Outback isn't what it used to be. I understand, on a Saturday night I expect to wait...But DAMN!!! The wait was overbearing!! I was really scared we might be there for breakfast!!!! Terrible! You would be ok in a group no bigger than 4, but more than that.....Get ready, it will be awhile. Then when we finally sat down, the table was damaged, so I couldn't sit my food or drinks on it, or they would slide. I selected the Porter House because I was hungry as hell, and I knew it was huge. In the past, I remember getting a Porter House, and NEVER being able to finish it....Well, I gulp this one up in no time. The steak was obviously too small to be a Porter House, but I wasn't about to send it back, as I was so damn hungry from waiting over an hour and half! Like I said, OB is not what it used to be..... The worst outback I've ever been to. My work colleagues keep making me come back. The salads are consistently tiny and terrible. They have ice in them or attached to the plate. The ice melts in your salad or you get a piece in a bite. Lettuce is wilted and white. Nothing bad about the tuna, just that the portions are small whether you choose the small or large portion. The coconut shrimp isn't better. The breeding falls off and the condiment is too sweet. It has a generic taste. The service is miserable. I can't count how many bad experiences we have had. Just... Came over for dinner with my wife. This was our first time at an outback so we were a little intimidated by the menu. I have to say though, your Server Nati (we think it's actually Natalin) was AMAZING. Any doubts we had were quickly dismissed with her endless knowledge of the menu. She told us about this amazing appetizer called a blooming onion. Wow what a yummy work of art. We also ordered some Mac bites. I personally had the Alice Spring chicken (again, at Nati's recommendation) and my wife had the steak salad. Both were beyond amazing. Iced tea was ok. We were too full for dessert but honestly it was not a bad thing. As they say, full tummy - happy heart. And boy, our hearts were full of joy that evening!! I've been coming to this Outback for years and the food is always consistent. Recently I ordered delivery and there were some items from my order missing. I called the restaurant and was quickly put on to speak to the manager. She apologized and assured me the items would be on their way shortly. The waiter was incredibly rude when it was explained to him that the steak was completely raw. It took a great deal of time to get served in the first place. I am appalled, I have been to this location several times and never have been treated the way I was treated tonight. Throughout my dinner, my server was being very passive aggressive and unprofessional. I walked in 2 hours prior closing time, however, I was treated as if I had walked in 10 minutes before closing. Not only were my orders confused with the table next to me, once I finished my plates none were taken from the table. My waiter got upset at having to refill a drink when every time I asked for something she was walking away from my table as she was rushed. As I was eating, my bill was brought to the table without asking if I had finished eating. When I paid and tipped resembling the service I had, the waiter just left upset and didn't even ask me if I wanted my receipt. I came to this restaurant with my church family to celebrate our Pastor birthday. Our reservation was at 4pm and consisted of 25 guest. Although I was 40mins late due to traffic and driving from Fort Lauderdale. They were very prompt, patient and still made sure I had a table for my family so we can participate in the celebration. They even advised The First Lady of my arrival and patiently waited for everyone to show up before serving. The whole staff from the hostess to the waiters/ waitress were very professional, friendly and observant. I was delighted to be assisted by Angie, who took our orders, checked on us to ensure everyone was well taken care of and fixed matters when they came about. All of the orders were made specific to everyone request and the food was pretty good despite my boyfriend fries were a little cold but Angie made sure she replaced them with fresh fries. I ate the Surf n Turf 9oz with mash b broccoli which was pretty good. The meat was tender, broccoli could have been cooked a little more, mash potatoes was good and the bread was soft and flavorful. All the servers had great unity when tending to each guest, communicated effectively and they were well organized. The best part was knowing my Pastor enjoyed the full experience in a nice ambiance. Although the max to tip on the receipt was 20% I tipped an 25% because I was amazed by the level of customer service provided.Thank you Outback for the outstanding service !! read more
