Out on a dinner date with my husband - Decided to go to Outback. It has been a while since we had been here. The restaurant was busy but there was no waiting to be seated. It was a quiet evening. We ordered drinks...blueberry desert pear burst, and smoked old fashion And for food we decided to share a dinner since we don't eat as much as we used to and we wanted to try one of their desserts... So we got the ribeye and grilled shrimp combo With a salad and loaded baked potato The ribeye & shrimp were cooked perfect and the baked potato was delicious as well. The salad was nice...need more tomatoes. I prefer hard boiled egg & shredded carrots-no cheese instead, but it was good. We had room for dessert so we tried the Chocolate Thunder from down under...it was melt in your mouth yummy!! Our server was great- Bri! Thank you for your kindness and help in making our evening enjoyable.

It's been a couple years since I've been here. So many options in Reno. It's hard to revisit some places. But my wife and I had a wonderful evening. Bree was our waitress . She was extremely nice and entertaining. Sometimes you go out on a date night with your wife and you want some privacy, sometimes you want some entertainment. Bree seem to realize that we wanted some entertainment lol. What we ordered: Smoked whiskey, old-fashioned Castaway cocktail Ribeye steak with a baked potato Salad Chocolate thunder under down under The food was out pretty quick and I gotta tell you for the price. It is one of the best steaks around. There was a time when outback was the most expensive place to eat, but post Covid. They did not raise the prices as much as other places so now it is a cost-effective place to go for dinner. I highly recommend this place and ask for Bree as she's a great waitress

It was nice and calm when we entered as it was so early. Place was very clean Our waitress was really sweet. I forget her name. Went and tried the new steak & cheese dip. Its actually ground steak which I loved. Was full of flavor. Love the tomato's and green onions added on top.. This is 1 I would come back for again. Hubby enjoyed a house salad with double ranch. Of course the bread and a couple adult beverages. Absolutely love this place.

Value and Excellent Service coupled with great soups & salads makes it a perfect lunch spot. I tried the coconut shrimp and it was perfect. Aaron is an amazing server with a sense of humor, but he only works lunch.

One of very few restaurants open till 10 PM! Was perfect after our late event at the convention center. Sat in the bar area and was able to order quickly. We had the baked potato soup, wedge salad with ranch dressing, grilled salmon with rice and mashed potatoes and also the mac & cheese. Everything was beyond delicious and Logan P our waiter was very attentive and excellent! They also have easy kiosk at the table where you can order more items as well as review your check and cash out quickly. Everything was fabulous and hit the spot and would definitely recommend!

So I decided for 2026 that I wanted to revisit some of the locations I hadn't been to in a long time. Today we decided to revisit the Outback steakhouse in Reno, located off of South Virginia between Moana and Peckham. There is ample parking both in front of the restaurant and a large parking lot behind it. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess, who quickly directed us to our seat, the service is very good as our waiter was attentive to our needs. We ordered the Ahi sashimi appetizer, unfortunately not pictured. She ordered the teriyaki steak skewer, medium rare and mashed potatoes along with the potato soup. I ordered the Delmonico ribeye with baked potato and French onion soup. Everything was has expected, the food was good, cooked as ordered. We both commented that it really hadn't changed since the last time we were there which was many years ago, it was nice to see the consistency. The ambience is Outback, that is the same regardless where you go. At the end of the day if you're looking for a reasonably priced and good quality product this is a place to try.

Service with a smile is an understatement here. We loved our time from the moment the host greeted us right up until we walked out the door, and it's all credit to the exceptional staff! We came in last Friday around 630, 3 adults and two kids (3.5 and 6.5), and the little ones were famished after a long day at school. Sensing this, the host offered some crayons and kids menus and engaged the kids in a coloring contest and they took to it! Shifted the wait from what would've been intolerable, into enjoyable! Our server was also incredible from the start. She was smiling, seemed genuinely happy to be serving and providing guests with a great experience, and she was authentic in her approach and engaged with everyone at the table. I went for the coconut shrimp and sirloin. The 9oz was a bit much after the wedge salad and famous brown bread, but they cooked it very nicely and the marinade is sweet and tasty. Loaded baker was a good choice for the side and I liked the salted skin. Kids had cheeseburger and mac n cheese, both slightly above average in quality, and both enjoyed by the boys. Overall a better experience than I expected. Food ok but service really sets this place apart.

I ordered the secret menu Aussie 3-course meal, and it was perfect. Everything was well made and exactly what I expected. The place itself is a bit old, and the restrooms aren't the nicest, but the staff truly makes a difference. The workers are very kind, attentive, and welcoming, which really elevates the experience. Because of the service and consistency, I always come back.

The food and the service was 10/10! Our waiter was super friendly and came by often to check on us. The food was tasty, came out to order and we had no complaints. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating.

Outback Steakhouse on Virginia - service ok. Food and drinks good as usual. Restrooms extremely dirty which makes you wonder about the kitchen - right ?!? We had the 3-course meal special - well worth the price but limited options.

The ordering process was a little disengaging from the start. You can either scan a QR code to order or walk up to the counter if you prefer not to use technology. What I found a little ironic was that after ordering this way, the checkout process still suggests a 25% tip for the service. I'm certainly happy to tip for good service, but the experience felt more like ordering takeout than dining at a higher-end restaurant. For our meal, we had a filet, small wedge salad, and potatoes, along with a Jack and Coke Zero and a michelada. The steak was cooked perfectly and the food was genuinely excellent. The staff was also nice and friendly, so I have no complaints there. The biggest issue was the atmosphere. It was extremely windy outside, and the front door was left open, so we were freezing for much of the meal. They also brought out five cookies for dessert. One was soft and enjoyable, while the other four were so hard that they honestly became the comedy portion of the meal. Our total was around $90. I did not leave a 25% tip. If this were a traditional full-service steakhouse, I would have tipped more than $10 because I'm happy to reward good service. But at this price point, I expect the luxury of sitting at my table, having someone check on us, being able to ask questions, and receiving full table service from start to finish. I don't really want to stand at a cash register to order when I'm spending $90 on dinner. Would I come back? Probably not. The food was very good and the steak was cooked perfectly, but at this price point, I'm looking for a full-service dining experience rather than something that feels closer to upscale counter service.

I know things can go wrong occasionally, but this seemed to be a string of events. Once we ordered, it took a while to get food. I'm not complaining about this, we were a large party. When we did get our food, all of it was either wrong, cold, or undercooked. There were no wait staff around to tell, apparently they were short-staffed that night. I walked up and got the manager, who came back to the table to hear us out. They ended up comping all of the food and by the time we had gotten this far, it was already later in the evening and we just decided to salvage what we could. Some of the food was edible, so we did what we could. We kept waiting for someone to come around to clear dishes comma but we never saw anyone. There was an empty table between us and the next table over. There was an empty table between us and the next table over, and they had started stacking they're empty dishes on that empty table. We decided, we might as well do the same thing otherwise the dishes would stay put. By the end of the meal, the entire table was full of dishes. We ended up going somewhere else later that evening to actually get some food we could eat. I'm really sad that this meal went so poorly when we were trying to celebrate a birthday. We will never be going to this restaurant again. Additional after the fact, the sign outside that advertises the business has been broken for months. One would think that if you were a serious business that you would want to fix that. It reflects on your image. It makes me sad too, because they are right across the street from the Peppermill and they could be getting so much business.

We wanted to try a new place for our anniversary dinner, and decided what a great time to go sample Wild River grill. We had noted that reservations were recommended, so did our due diligence and made reservations for 8:00 p.m. arriving at 7:55, and were seated inside in the bar area. We were prompt greeted by a bus boy who served as cold water and gave us menus, and we waited..... As we waited patiently for a waiter, we noted that there was a large table in front of us where the diners were done eating, another large table behind us with the diners also done eating, another couple was seated behind us that were wrapping up their meal. There were three different waiters that came through the area where we were seated attending to the tables around us that had been served and had eaten. At no time did any of the three waiters acknowledge our presence, no stopping by to say we'll be right with you, not even any eye contact. We continue to wait for another 15 minutes, and we're never acknowledged by anyone other than the busboy that was prompt and gave us water. This all occurred while staff was constantly filtering through the small dining area in the bar where we were seated. We finally had enough, my wife and I got up and headed towards the small podium by the front of the bar, as we arrived at the bar podium, another young man not dressed in waiter black walked right past us towards a back room. We stood there for quite a while and finally one of the waiters that had been in the room asked if he could help us and we asked if we could speak with the manager. We were told that the manager would be right back and the waiter left. Finally the same waiter came back and said he would get the manager, and proceeded into the back room and came back with the same young man that had walked right past us and had not acknowledged us and introduced himself as the manager. I explained to him our dilemma and concern over doing everything we could to accommodate what the restaurant wanted as far as attire, making reservation, being prompt on keeping your reservation, but we're not giving any service whatsoever. The manager said it was a very confusing night because they were serving inside and outside, which was something I didn't understand since that's the way the restaurant is designed. I asked him if that was not the reason he was there was to make things less confusing and flow. I really didn't understand his statement regarding the confusion of the restaurant, and in no time did he apologize for the fact that we hadn't even been approached by a waiter or any other staff other than the busboy. He did state that they would love to service now, I declined because the tone was pretty set by being ignored by the wait staff as we waited and waited. As we turn to leave his statement to us was "well have a wonderful evening", which sounded more sarcastic then sincere, very disappointing. We were both really excited to try food as we spent plenty of time looking at the menu and deciding exactly what we wanted, but in the end being ignored to the extent that we were with staff just running all over the place around you was very discouraging.

My experience was quite different, we had a party of six celebrating a very special occasion. Thinking this Steakhouse is rated 4 stars we thought we couldn't go wrong, that was our first mistake. Of the first 5 salads brought out they had to take em back because of the 'off' odor. Our server explained that maybe it was the radishes (not what I would expect from a four star steakhouse). When the entrées came out three people had ordered filet mignon's, which I was told was very tasty. One of the patrons had ordered New York strip (three of us confirmed that) and was given and charged for a filet mignon rather than taking it back to the kitchen and giving the patron what they ordered. It was unfortunate, but the service in my opinion was not four-star they did check on us occasionally and kept the water glasses full and 'maybe' they even asked if everything was OK. Not wanting to spend $60 for a steak (I was a guest) I ordered the seafood roast. It turned out to be a very tasty bisque, but a tasty bowl of soup shouldn't cost $35.00. Give em try if you want to gamble on a great experience. My recommendation is to go to Western Steakhouse, enjoy the much better ambience, 120% better experience for maybe 10% more. You do you, all six of us know where we'll go next time.

Absolutely lovely bread service here. First round of dirty Tito's with bleu cheese stuffed olives & a refreshing pineapple Patrón margarita to start, the perfect accompaniments to starters foie gras & waygu Rossini and escargot. To be 100% honest, these aren't my favorite snails. White wine takes up room that unctuous butter and garlic should, making them seem watery, thin and a little tough. Hubby had that evening's special sea bass with polenta and I had the double cut lamb chops, both entrées were PERFECTION. We ordered the mushroom medley and sauteed spinach for sides. The mushrooms were luxurious, but the spinach was brothy, again not buttery or creamy at all. Not bad in any way, just not the steakhouse staple creamy spinach I was expecting. Even though a few dishes were a little different than what I was hoping for, the overall meal was excellent. We're at the age in life where we don't want gifts or parties for birthdays; we want experiences. And Bimini delivers on the experience. With leftovers in hand, my only regret was not swapping out being too full for desserts for a tawny port. If this is what grown up money and free will get you, then whoever says money doesn't buy happiness hasn't dined at Bimini. Treat. Your. Self.

I've never done table side before, but our waiter was very kind and good at keeping the conversation going. If you have a special event celebration and want a nice place to go to get steak/ seafood, I highly recommend Bimini steakhouse. We had a great experience and it's a birthday I won't forget.

This place is so UNDERRATED! Such a peaceful atmosphere, consistent food, and chill staff; I can't…read morebelieve that Washoe Public House isn't getting the hype it deserves! The eating area is very spacious and commodious. Though this place has a casual vibe, the presentation of the food is totally fine-dining material. Each dish, especially the Citrus glazed salmon, is served as a piece of art. I've been here around three times before I installed yelp, and am excited to finally leave a review. The short rib, was absolutely amazing. The short rib was so tender, and each brussels sprout was a literal flavor bomb. The brussels sprouts I've had at other places have flavor only on the exterior, whereas the brussels sprouts here play a different game. The short rib is served in a really big portion. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. This short rib was a win. Chefs kiss. The truffle lasagna was terrific; so much sauce in between the lasagna layers. I could absolutely make out the truffle flavor in this dish. However, I recommend eating this dish quickly, as the lasagna stiffens really quickly. Thirty minutes after it was served, I went it to take another bite, and it wasn't as good anymore. The ceasar salad +beef is a great choice for a light but filling meal when you're currently on a healthy diet. Each dish here comes in giant portions, but even after you finish this salad, it won't feel too heavy on your body. I think it's because Washoe is really light on the dressing levels; perfecting the amount so it doesn't overtake the fresh flavor of the greens or leave the salad bland and insipid. However, the beef was a bit too well done and on the firmer side. The first time coming here, I was totally shocked to find out that the food they served did not match the relaxed and informal vibe the setting sets up. Not a bad thing at all. Creates a laid-back vibe while still getting high quality food.

Elk Chops, Kangaroo Philly Cheese Steak, Boar Schnitzel or Scottish Eggs, if you are looking for…read more"different" you can have it at the Washoe Public House. Situated in Mid-Town, it is conveniently located near the River and an easy walk to to the Pioneer Center. Have no fear, there is quite normal food fare in addition to the more exotic. We went with a large group, so we were able to sample the exotic and the more traditional. Starting with the Double Elk Chops, featured on Dives, Diners and Drive-Ins, the Elk is a bit on the gamey side, tender with a hint of lamb taste but a finish of liver, it is not for everyone. Scottish Eggs is a soft boiled egg, wrapped in sausage, then deep fried. It is served with a beer mustard. My friend, from England, was quick to order the Scottish Eggs. He reported that they were a bit over cooked but otherwise fine. 6/10. The Kangaroo Philly Cheese Steak sounds more exotic than the taste. For this sandwich I would have appreciated a bit more Kangaroo :-) but otherwise was good. Our friends seemed to enjoy the Boar Schnitzel and the portion was certainly large, as were all the portions at the Washoe Public House. The Short Ribs were so tended and a just a touch on the sweet side. My wife liked the sweetness but as a full meal, it was a bit sweet for my palate. I had the Washoe Burger with Bacon. A solid burger. I would have preferred my patty a bit less cooked but it was fine none the less. Rich with flavor, a solid choice. The fries were good. Nothing spectacular. It you are looking for different, Washoe Public House just might be the ticket. Fantastic cuisine, located close to the River and other entertainment.

My in-laws have been raving about this place for quite some time, and we finally made our way to…read moreReno! My mother-in-law surprised us with a dinner here for our one-year anniversary, and it did not disappoint. The service was wonderful everyone was so friendly and attentively and the restaurant has such a beautiful, classic elegance to it. We ordered the Chateaubriand and OMG... this could seriously feed four people! I absolutely loved the presentation. They bring it out, slice it tableside, and show you the cut right in front of you. Such a nice touch! We also had the crème brûlée, and they surprised us with a chocolate mousse cake for our anniversary. They even give you a palate cleanser of lemon sorbet with non-alcoholic bubbly, which was SO good. Another really sweet touch: they ask to take your photo and then give you a beautiful printed copy to take home! It made the anniversary dinner feel even more special and gave us a little keepsake from the night. Everything from the food to the service and all the little details made the evening memorable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great steak, wonderful service, and a more elegant dining experience in Reno. Definitely a special-occasion kind of place!
