I have always loved Outback. The food remains consistent as well as the service. While the outside was just renovated, the inside remains the same. Stopped in on Saturday for a lunch. Somehow the resent Aussie Aussie Aussie special was humming in my ear. $14.99 special. Not seeing it on the menu the server informed me, "Oh, it starts at $14.99 and goes up". I said, " that's not what the t.v. ad says". Not arguing with her and she never showed us what was for $14.99. Had the 5 oz steak lunch with loaded sweet potatoes with a side order of coconut shrimp (4), 2 non alcoholic beverages. Lunch. $54 for 2. I'd rather go to Longhorn. Sorry Outback. I won't be back. I haven't been back since the remodel of the outside and so I thought I'd come back today. It was kind of unnerving tbh. When I go places it's not just the food that matters it's the service and the professionalism that also matters. As I sat down the server was very nice and thoughtful. I noticed a young gentleman giving a bit of attitude to the other staff and when he walked away he mumbled something about being stupid under his breath which was incredibly inappropriate. Later I walked to the bathroom and I over heard him talking about partying and other vulgar things with other staff. So I asked a worker who he was and I was told he is the manager on shift. The service was good and our server was nice. We ordered the blooming onion which is always a delicious option. I ordered a steak with 2 sides. My sides I chose were the loaded baked potato and the steakhouse Mac and cheese. Both were fantastic. My first time trying the Mac and cheese and my 2 year old daughter loved it. It had great flavor. My steak was cooking perfectly to my like. My only complaint was my steak was pretty tough, it was that tender which was a bummer. read more

Went for an early Valentines dinner since Outback was advertising a special 4 Course meal for two at $65.00. The special can be found on the ST George Outback Web Site, the special starting yesterday Feb 10. We were seated promptly as only one other table was occupied. After our waitress took our drink order we asked about the 4 Course Special. She said she needed to check with the Manager. She returned and informed us the Manager said the Special was a Corporate Promotion and they were not offer it today. Really!! Long story short the meal we then ordered was served hot and fast. This is my second trip to this Outback and again it did not meet my expectations due to not accepting the advertised special. IMO I would not choose this location for dinner again. The food was not good. That salmon was blackened. It was not a good flavor the salad lots of purple onions in it and it tasted horrible the dressing not good. I love the outback's up north! The Saint George location is awful! Blooming onion was burnt. They did not bring out any bread we had to ask for it. Had to find a waiter to get a second drink. My husband and I just recently had a baby and were gifted a DoorDash giftcard so we didn't have to worry about cooking for one night with a newborn. We chose Outback because we were craving something hearty after being in the hospital. This was the worst most disappointing meal we've ever had from takeout. For starters, we ordered $70 worth of food!!! As a side, we chose fries with one of our steaks, and we got like 5 of them total. What kind of portion is that? Then, our steaks that were supposed to be MEDIUM were practically well done. I understand with transportation they would have cooked a little more with resting but all the way well done??? Terrible. Here's my favorite part, the "6 oz" sirloin we received was actually 3.8 Oz thanks to our scale we measured it on. WHAT A RIP OFF. Both he and my husband ordered two different steak cuts. Both said they tasted like they had a creole seasoning on them. My husband said his was tough and could hardly cut with a knife and could not hardly chew his. Our son said his was over cooked. Both left uneaten meals and it wasn't worth bringing it home. The price of steak dinner is ridiculous but this was gross. The baked potatoes were cooked in a microwave because the bottom was hard. The vegetables were raw, the fries were too salty.....We were never even offered any other option to drink because we started with water. Went to Outback tonight and ordered the 6 ounce filet and what I received was far from what I ordered. The steak was far from a filet. It was tough and way overcooked for medium. Talked to the server who sent the manager to our table. I explained that the "Filet" was in no way the tender steak I ordered and it was very tough along with being overcooked. I only took one bite out of the steak and did not eat the rest. He said he wanted to make it right and would only charge me for a Sirloin (because that was what it probably was ) plus 10% off the steak. I did not argue with him, thought it was ridiculous, but went ahead and paid for it. So in the end I received a very tough steak that I didn't order that was overcooked and only took one bite out of it. Me and the wife were limited on time. My husband and I went to get some prime rib, sadly there not serving prime rib anymore it's off the menu. PLEASE BRING OT BACK!!! Ok our server Haddy she was great! Made sure our ice tea was full checked in on us during our meal. She recommended the rib eye and it was cook just right. The seasoning was a bit much, she even told them lightly on it. My husband had the ribs and he said they were awesome meat fell off the bone. Food was mediocre to begin with. Steaks ordered med well and X well done. Both were bloody. Manager came out, said OH my that's not right and walked away. Never fixed it or offered. Bill came with a $2 discount. We couldn't even eat it as we are not bloody meat people. There were only 4-5 tables of people at 6pm, now we know why. How does a steakhouse not know the difference between rare and X well done??? And then "Sorry, wow that's not right" but do nothing about it except tell us how bad it is??? It's not fancy like a high-end steakhouse, but Outback makes some good steak, potatoes, and BBQ chicken for an affordable price. Not sure if all locations have the same decor, but the Australian-themed art on the wall at this location was a fun touch. read more

Amazing Service!! The host...Quincey was very helpful with me and my wife. My wife is in a wheelchair and often times when we go out to a restaurant it is an uncomfortable experience for her because of the table we are sat at. Quincey made sure my wife and I had the perfect table that was comfortable for the both of us!! The food was amazing and the server was very attentive and kind. Friday night we arrived at the business at 6:00 PM and was told there was a 15 minute wait for a table. Not bad on a Friday so we sat down, and waited for our table. After our arrival a number of folks walked in so it was really busy in the lobby. We waited almost 15 minutes before we were called to our table. We sat down with out menus and proceeded to wait 20 minutes without a soul acknowledging our presence. We were not greeted by a waiter, not water was offered, no excuses or apologies were made nothing! After 20 minutes, We got up and walked out. My wife stopped by the hostess desk and told her what had happened. She said Sorry, nothing else. We should have known there were problems with the management of this establishment when we were escorted to out table and a number of table sat vacant whet here were tons of folks waiting in the lobby to be seated. Food for one was so average. What ever happened to the Outback "zing"? Steak seemed microwaved, no char marks and grayish and the Cesar Salad was weak on dressing. Blooming Onion seemed to have had its day, not a lot of flavor or "zing". Service was odd, so many servers coming by that it was confusing on who was actually our assigned server. The food was Great and the service was okay slow but exceptable The biggest problem we had was a lady came in with a medium size dog not a service dog or an emotional support dog just a plain dog. Outback has definitely more than just the bloomin onion that everyone orders. Their Alice Springs Chicken, coconut shrimp, kookaburra wings, and Queensland pasta are hands down my favorite items. Oh, people rave about getting the bread. Have you ever tried it with the jam? That hits differently. That was suggested by our awesome server, Grant. He made our experience more than just dinner. He really makes a customer feel special and takes care of everyone. He gave my nieces and nephews little toys for being good. No other server has done that. He definitely left an impression. I've never had seared ahi tuna cold (like just out of a refrigerator cold). Maybe that's how it's supposed to come and I misunderstood what I was getting. I've been craving poki lately. So it's kinda similar and I ate it. But if your expecting typical warm seared ahi tuna, this is definitely not the meal for you. Assuming the dish is supposed to be served cold, I'd give it 2.5 out of 5 stars (and I'll accept the star difference as my fault for not realizing what I was ordering). If it's not supposed to be served cold, it's not worth over 1.5 stars. *considering my mom's chicken wasn't done I'm leaning more towards the fact that the tuna was supposed to be warm as her chicken of all things wasn't fully cooked. read more
