Steaks / Chicken / Seafood Outback, like many of the chain places gets a bad rap for being a chain establishment. That being said, I feel that Outback is somewhat better than the other local chains - both in variety of offerings and all around value. Appearance wise, Outback and Boulder Creek are interchangeable- same light colored woods and outward appearance. The servers at Outback are pretty enthusiastic - nice to see. They know the menu inside and out which is also nice. All in all the selection is probably twice that of the other chain in the area, if not more. Interestingly, I found that the calorie counts that are listed on the menus actually helped me make a better decision regarding what to eat - and in one case I was a bit shocked by the calories - yikes. The steaks come in a variety of sizes and shapes and there is a decent selection of sides - the french green beans were really good. A couple of cold ones to wash it all down and I was on my way. We were seated shortly after arriving at the suggested time and ordered my favorite spicy wings then ahi tuna and shrimps on the barbie for my famiy. Honestly this place does not even deserve a star! The server was one of the WORST server I've ever met! Women with blonde hair. When she brought out our potato soup, she dropped the spoon and she picked it up and placed it back on the table for us. Didn't say sorry or even get us a new spoon. The bread was done and she saw the board with the knife on the table and she didn't even bother taking it away. When she served our entree, STILL didn't bother taking away the board with the knife. She ran away as quick as she can once she placed our food down. I said Miss can you please take away this board? She then turned around and grab it and left. RUDE AF. Outback Is one of my favorite restaurants. i have been to many of them, But this was the first time at this one. I almost always order the same thing. Outback special, 9oz Sirloin with baked potato with everything but cheese, salad with blue cheese dressing and a french onion soup or a Bloomin Onion. I have never had a bad experience in any Outback. Service is great and servers are generally very attentive. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. I have never had a steak not cooked correctly. If you have never gone it is definitely worth a trip, You have too get a BLOOMIN ONION if this is your first time going you will love it. read more

Today after a busy day at work, we decided to come here for a rainy night comfort meal w/ kids. The moment we walked in, as usual we were greeted and was seated. Since Kids had an early dinner, we figured we'll order some appetizers along w/ French onion soup which we love love.. . Originally we ordered Aussie onion ... fries. Then I saw the wings & was craving for that. Nick (manager) who was beyond nice, stepped in and took the order for us and made sure we were fully satisfied w/ our dinner. Not many managers get compliments, but Nick was exceptional in the service he provided. Kelly our server was also very helpful. My wife and I frequently visit this restaurant. Service always great and never disappointed with the food. We have our favorite waiters/waitresses (Alex, Debbie and Adam) but even when they are off, the other staff are also very courteous, attentive and helpful. Spinach and artichoke dip to start surprisingly small portion of dip and lots of super salty chips I had fish tacos and forget to ask what was in them they would have been way better had I skipped the onions in there. I've now been to this particular Outback 3 times and my complaint is the same for all 3 visits: slow and unreliable service. I understand every once in a while, service will slip, but every time I've come here I have to ask multiple waiters/waitresses to get a drink or to get a dipping sauce. One night I didn't get the side of honey mustard I asked for (that I asked for as soon as I got my plate) until we got the check - it was pretty obvious I didn't need it anymore. I haven't been here in ages, and frankly, for good reason. I didn't realize that all the Outbacks have been slowly closing down so there aren't many left. Came here for lunch on a Saturday that it was 1/4 full. I got the 9oz Sirloin steak with steamed broccoli and it was well cooked at medium well. The classic burger was good as well. The bread was hard, the clam chowder salty, and the buffalo shrimp $4.99 add-on even saltier! We couldn't have more than 2 pieces of shrimp before complaining to management. First, she kept forgetting things and we just got tired at one point continuously asking for things we asked for or her only bringing our half of what we asked for. The food- a little disappointed considering it's usually better than what I am about to go on and say. The tuna tar tar, was fine. It's my moms favorite- I don't know why she just likes the cut of the tuna and the miso sauce that comes with it. It's enough for 1- if you have an appetite. With a larger crowd, best bet it to get two appetizers. The waitress must have forgotten about our drinks a good four times. Asked for a round of waters, asked twice. Never got them. Never checked to see how food was. The steaks were okay from my understanding. The chicken Alfredo pasta- okay. Not great. The pasta was definitely not fully cooked, still crunchy and the pasta wasn't necessarily covered with sauce. And there's a lot of pasta! The chicken was almost questionable if it was cooked. Did not finish and did not take home. Pretty disappointed. What irked me even more, we are a military family. When we asked about the discount that they give, we had our IDs ready but our waitress did not even ask for it or ask if we were military. Celebrated a belated Australian Day here hahah. (It's Jan 26 btw). Yeah I know outback isn't really Aussie but hey, the food is delish and affordable. They don't take reservations but their waitlist system on their app works ok if you can get it to work. Seems a bit glitchy. Standouts were the rib appetizer and all the mains. It's your typical chain restaurant serving steaks, salads, seafood, chicken, and the lot but with a quasi-Australian setting. It's been a while since I been to an Outback so I was somewhat excited. My favorite thing to order here is the Bloomin' Onion, but since it was just a party of 2 and we weren't looking to eat a light lunch, we opted to pass on it this time around. I ordered the Wood-Fire Grill Signature Sirloin Steak paired with mahi fish. I like my steak to be cooked medium-rare, but it came sort of on the well-done side. For a chain restaurant, it was decent, but don't expect anything more than a slightly tough and very lightly seasoned steak. The mahi was nothing fascinating, somewhat dry and unflavorful. Our waitress, Ashley, was very friendly and attentive, checking up on us and providing us with additional servings of the complimentary bread and several refills of our drinks. Again, don't expect a very exciting meal, but do expect a solid chain-restaurant type of meal. On that standard, you should go away satisfied. Been here a couple times and.... Idk. Last time was maybe a 4 today is def a 3. Came to celebrate a birthday so it was. party of 9. Same as last time. Which I understand can be a little hard to handle. But our server was a little off today. Very forgetful. I literally pointed at my drink in the menu and said I would like this. Spent my 30th birthday with my family at the outback in Westbury. The atmosphere and workers are all very inviting. All appetizers and entrees came out super fast. Ahi tuna was DELICIOUS. First let me type about our server, he was great!!! . Everything was going well until the meal came out. First my ribeye was not cooked correctly. As expected both meals came off the Bill, but the bill still had a 15% tip of $19.00, i felt bad for the server, but I couldn't leave him a $20.00 tip on a $55.00 bill, not after our experience. Decided to go in for the Wednesday deal and even before we ordered, we so management check in in on their customers. This was a first sign to me that they were doing the best to make sure their customers were happy. I ended up having an issue with my order I politely asked to switch it. They happily obliged and swapped out my order for a new one without a second thought. I thanked them and ended up with a better meal than my original order. I've been coming here for YEARS and the air conditioning was broken which is fine it happens. But then our food took close to two hours our server whispered under her breath at us and gave a major attitude. On top of that we said that we needed to wait one minute for someone to send money for enough to be on our card. They charged the account without waiting and then stated we needed 11$ left so instead of charging 11$ they charged the bill twice. The manager came over and said "I'm sorry you don't have enough money on your card that's not my problem." Great experience at this Outback. The wait wasn't too long for a packed Saturday. When our waiter was MIA all the others were helpful including their manager. They really took care of us!!! I was extremely pleased and will definitely be returning. In short - I've been to outback many times - usually get the porterhouse. Can't remember a time where the steak wasn't very good to excellent...and I am familiar with Ruths Chris, Lugers, Mortons, Paces, etc. Last night my wife and I ordered steaks to go and as is our habit went to a park and had "dinner out". Unfortunately, they did not have the porterhouse, so I ordered the bone in rib eye. The steak started out ok, but... I found a quarter of the way in that is was mostly grizzle and fat - what little veins of meat to be found were nearly impossible to get at (we only had plastic utensils). The soup was good, marinade was great - just the quality of the cut was extremely poor. I gave two stars instead of one due to the excellent service of the person taking the order and the ladies who brought the food out. I had really high expectations for this place, but it did not reach it at all. I went here for my birthday with my family. I made reservations but I still had to wait a good amount of time to get a seat. When we finally did, I was excited to order because I love steak and everything else on their menu. However, with one glance at the menu, you can see that everything is overpriced and small portions. When the food finally came, it looked appetizing, but it was not even close. The steak had no seasoning at all. It was not that juicy and overall it just did not taste that good. The sides were fine- I had vegetables and fries. I ordered a few appetizers (wings, bushman shrooms, and the new rib one) The ribs tasted really off and the wings tasted old. They didn't include any ranch or blue cheese as well as bread even though I called it out on the online order. It's my fault for not checking when the bag was handed to me. There were like several employees just hanging out in the takeout room and most just kept just doing their thing and not moving for the customer.
