Meh. Don't get me wrong, the place and food looks super cute and I love the outdoor seating, but the prices. Yikes. Personally, I think it's a tad bit overpriced for the amount of food they give; not to mention that the food wasn't "out of this world". I'm from California and I came to New York to visit my friend from high school during my spring break. I wanted to get some food on my first day here and we stumbled upon this place on yelp. We ordered the eggs benedict and the nutella, strawberry, banana waffle. The salad wasn't to die for, the soup tasted like water, and the eggs benedict was tiny. The beet hollandaise sauce was interesting but didn't wow me in terms of flavor. On the other hand, the waffle was delicious but maybe that's because I have a soft spot for nutella. The food was average and the service was average as well. I came across a rude worker? I kindly asked for utensils because the container that was labeled "utensils" was empty lol. In response to that, the girl who I asked gave me an attitude and pointed out saying "there." I replied, "I'm sorry, thank you" and she pointed to the plastic utensils. This place is so spacious! Lots of seating and good lighting no matter where you sit. They also have beautiful outdoor seating but was closed due to the cold season. The food was quite good and worth the price. Maybe it's because we came on a Sunday, but the wait time for the food felt long and a little chaotic as they shout your name over a crowd of other waiting customers. I got the Morning Set which came with a salad, egg, sausage, and soup of the day (lentils yum). My friend got the smoked salmon, they gave a very generous amount of salmon and sliced avocado. My other friend got the French toast, very thick slices but so fluffy. The cream that came with the french toast is SOOO good. Sweet, light, and abundant!! . I would definitely return to this place again when it's warmer so I can check out their outdoor seating and other menu items. read more

Doesn't food taste better when it's presented beautifully? I think so!! So I thought this place might be an Instagram trap, but it's just Instagram worthy. Every dish was beautifully presented with the exception of my tumeric latte with a demented latte foam heart. My friends ordered many different dishes from the menu and I ordered the berry ricotta waffle. It was made very well and I loved the ricotta, which really took the waffle up a notch. The prices aren't outrageous but they aren't cheap. I will definitely come back to this spot for another girlfriends brunch next time. read more

Wow so this place has the best almond milk latte I've ever had. It was so good I came back after only three hours to get another one! The interior is simple but cozy and cute. There were SOOO many tables: I feel it's hard to find good cafes with a lot of space. I could see myself camping out there and getting some work done, ordering coffee after coffee. I also had the bavacado eggy bread; it was delicious and not too heavy, a little expensive but worth it. Even more stars for using my favorite brand of coffee, Counter Culture Coffee! read more

This place has amazing food and atmosphere yet the staff/employees are so rude and standoffish. After spending $60 on brunch for 3 people, i asked for a water cup since i don't drink coffee or tea. They refused to offer me a cup larger than the small Dixie cups the size of the palm of my hand. I asked for a bigger cup and they refused. I paid $60 to be there and they were nothing but rude and disrespectful. Also asked a few questions about the menu, in very nice tones and they were rude and negative. Food was delicious, took long to get our orders though. Ambience is nice. One of the workers seem like they hate working there. This cafe has so much potential to be one of the best in the area with a few small changes: Wireless is garbage and the barista is rude and seems upset that she has customers - with just a little investment in the internet connection and a staff who smiles and at least pretends to like their job, I am sure this place will be packed. What kind of coffeehouse has no place for whipped cream? Specially a place that serves waffles!!!! Excuse me, what am I paying $10 for? Also, they didn't have chocolate ice cream or pineapple juice, yet they had a fresh flower to put on my waffle? This place was ok- not particularly amazing. I got the matcha bomb and eggs Benedict which came with a soup and salad and pasta. I wanted to get just the eggs Benedict without all the sides, but they wouldn't let you do that without paying the same amount. The soup of the day was chicken, but since I'm vegetarian they let me substitute it with a croissant. Came here with friends and their food was mediocre too. Nice little underground Breakfast/Brunch spot. You order in line at the front and take the food back to your seat. Food was delicious. 9/10. As an Elite Yelper, I find that it is my duty to share the best kept secrets of NYC. It pains me to give y'all insight into this little gem. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after wandering in the Union Square area. Truthfully, I needed to use the restroom and really just wanted some caffeine. I walked in, checked out the menu and the entrees around me and was pumped about how Instagram-worthy Outro is. Skeptical of the red velvet iced coffee and other whimsical menu items, I decided that as my due diligence, I would go ahead and give Outro a try (even if it was just from the 'Gram). I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and delicious the red velvet iced coffee was. I also ordered the waffles, which came with a side salad. I loved everything about my meal. I was so excited to try this place and I really wanted to like it. I waited for 25 minutes for their Mediterranean bowl. It was a couple of grains of red quinoa with 3 slices of squash and 3 slices of zucchini, not exaggerating. It was 13$. So disappointed with the service too. The food is great and it's nice to have an alcohol free brunch spot. I like that it's counter service so you can enjoy time with your friends without feeling rushed. It's a tid-bit over-priced for what the food is, but the food is good and very instagrammable if you're into that. (I've seen people standing on top of chairs getting photos...gotta get that perfect angle.) Because it is counter-service, the service is quite terrible. I don't like how they give you a buzzer but your order doesn't all come out at once. I ordered for both my bf and I and our breakfasts came out like 20 min apart from each other. By the time he got his food my food was very cold. They also gave me a wrong order and when i was picking up my food told me what they accidentally made me was more expensive so they have to charge me... I feel like if it was their mistake they should eat the cost. (it was only $2.70 extra so i just paid it but i thought that was super weird... and also required me to go back to my table, grab my wallet and pay again to then grab my food) If they fix their service this would definitely be a 4-5 star spot! read more

I almost never share reviews but I was really disappointed today. The first time I came in this place was good, spacious, fast service, great atmosphere for doing work and a great big patio space. The pasta is affordable/good for pasta. But today I got a brunch dish from their all day brunch menu which was a $11 order that amounted to one fried egg on top of 3 stalks of asparagus and a pile of bacon bits and some tiny FROZEN cherry tomatoes. The portion was so small that my stomach literally rumbled 20 minutes later and I ate a good breakfast. It was no bueno and definitely not brunch. I didn't feel like sending it back because I ate the whole thing because I was starving and on the go. I paid literally $13 total for one freaking egg. the food was good but we were sitting by the kitchen and during our meal a huge rat ran along the counter by my head. it scurried around the area that the staff were preparing food and then went back into the kitchen through a window. it was in full view of most of the patrons in the restaurant and though people started expressing discomfort, the staff didn't speak up or acknowledge that the rat had appeared. i understand that rats are simply a part of nyc life but it would've been nice to hear someone on the staff speak up about it. read more

Service could be improved. People end up having to wait at the counter to pick up the food cuz they don't call your names out loud. This place doesn't really scream "original"--not to be a hater. It just looks a lot like the stereotypical IG posts that everyone posts and I don't even have IG lool. However, I'm not hating on this place at all--a friend recommended this place a while back and I had bookmarked it. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance and food. There's a lot of great seating and if the weather had been a little warmer, the backyard would have been ideal to sit and enjoy the food and great company. I got a free drip coffee (which was a very strong--yessss) by checking in on the yelp app. I ordered the french toast plate and my friend ordered the matcha cream coffee (beautiful presentation) and brioche like toast that had an egg baked inside (recheck the name). Aesthetic to the eye and IG worthy ;) the food was absolutely good and totally worth it. I really enjoyed the fluffiness of the french toast, fresh fruit, cream, and salad.
