They have a fully bar out there and the cocktails are delicious (and a little pricey). You can also order food out there. For dinner, of course order seafood. We got a variety to split and all were good. However, for the price, I wanted everything to taste a little bit more flavorful. I finally had the chance to visit Ouzo Bay for dinner, and it was a pretty great experience overall. Drinks: 2/5. We started off with the Olympian's Delight cocktail. The description says rum, mastiha, coconut and strawberry. I've had mastiha before but I couldn't really taste it in the cocktail. Honestly I couldn't even tell if there was any alcohol in it. But it's tasty. Food: 4/5. We ordered the octopus and the house spread as appetizers. The octopus was flavorful and tender and came with hummus. For the spread, we chose the date & goat cheese, tzatziki, and the tirokafteri. All of the spreads were bomb, and my friend especially loved the sweeter date & goat cheese spread. For the entrees, I got the bronzino + mac and cheese and my friend ordered the lamb chops + balsamic and feta vegetable fondue. Everything was great. The mac and cheese was rich, although it could've been thicker. The fondue was great and added much needed vegetables to our dinner. The fish and lamb chops were both tender. I would've preferred some more flavor in the bronzino. Service: 4/5. Our servers were attentive and personable. The only reason why I wouldn't say 5/5 is because our servers kept placing our utensils straight onto the table (instead of on napkins or cloth). Maybe it's a small pet peeve of mine, but I really like sanitary measures. The restaurant also does not check for any temperatures and no servers were wearing masks. I was just recently here for happy hour. This may have been right before the Governor shut everything down. Honestly I really wanted go to Gordan and Biercsh but as of March 1st they were closed down for good so I ended up here by default. It was one of the first nice 70 degree days we had in Baltimore and I really wanted to go to a happy hour. There were maybe five people here. This replaced most definitely reminded me of a nice fancy restaurant in Miami. The customer service was great. I walked in, I was greeted, and I decided to sit at the bar. I placed my order and moments later I had some of the best entrees that I often still think about. I had some grilled calamari which was really good. I also order some lamb meatballs with a sauce that was really delicious. There was a couple there at the bar, that was on their first date. I don't know if they met on Tinder or Plenty of fish but it felt like I was on the date too. I listened to everything that they said. LOL. It was quite entertaining. My husband and I went out to a date day on Sunday and landed upon this super cute restaurant. We walked in and was greeted right away and seated almost immediately. I don't usually write bad reviews but I have to be honest, this place didn't really meet our expectations. We came here as a bachelorette party and even though we made a reservation we had to wait like 20 minutes for our table. That's fine, so we ordered hibiscus sangrias at the bar while we waited but they were very very sweet for my taste. The appetizers were good. Then I ordered the crab cakes, which were very huge lumps which I wasn't used to. The sauce and veggies with it were great. I had also ordered the side of Mac and Cheese with my entree but they forgot about it and by the time I got it we were paying the check. So I just had it wrapped thankfully! Also, while the scallops looked amazing my sister ate them and then got sick shortly after :( Lastly, when a bus boy was taking the appetizer plates away he was leaning over my friend and accidentally he spilled olive oil all down her back on her shirt. She told the server and the manager offered to pay for her dry cleaning which was very nice of him! Anyways, great interior space. Very cool blue lighting and ample amount of seating. Ouzo Beach (Outdoor Restaurant) is such a good addition to Baltimore. I've been here twice so far, and it's been a good experience. Depending on the weather, this is a perfect location for the summer! My first visit it was a little hot out so we were getting a little uncomfortable the longer we stayed (and made the choice to find am indoor location somewhere else in harbor east) Food: I did brunch with a few friends and we all enjoyed our dishes. Spring rolls: Pleasant surprise. It was like a beeforoni wrapped in a spring roll. The oil (or whatever sauce is on the side), pairs nicely with it. Lump Crab Cake: a large portion is given. I enjoyed it, but maybe could have been slightly more flavorful. Glad I had it though. Drinks Mimosas were on point. I like that they have different flavors (no pics though. How could I forget ?) Criticism: I guess the restrooms are inside. Though I didn't have to tinkle what I was there, I'm assuming you would have to go across the street. Which isn't the most convenient. Dress Code: I noticed the dress code for a tank top was enforced for a person of color, and they were also to leave (though I don't think it was distasteful). A white female came Maybe 15 min later with a tank top and no one said anything to her. The outdoor space is very casual and the name has "beach" in it. Such terrible service for such high prices. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully, and there is valet parking! Considering the restaurant is located in Baltimore where parking spots = gold, it's a good option to have (so bring some cash monies). Don't waste your money on the appetizers. My friends and I split the daily ceviche and the grilled Portuguese octopus. Both were incredible disappointments. The chef decided to do a "deconstructed version" of the ceviche (whatever that means) and it was terrible. The only things saving the review are the entrees and the service. The entrees were actually delicious. My friend said that the salmon was the best he's ever had, and the salmon skin was deep fried and so flavorful. Unless you're ready to splurge on an expensive meal, don't come here. The entrees are around $40-50 and they even have a $95 lobster pasta on the menu, so maybe suggest a fun game or credit card roulette lol. read more

Im just going to say that as an African-American woman, I know racism is not always overt. You can make it clear that African-Americans are unwelcome without pointedly saying it. While I will not waste my time to write out a long story, I will say that my party and I were made to feel so uncomfortable (being watched and circled the entire evening) that I called another restaurant before we even received appetizers to see if we could just leave Ouzo bay. Unfortunately due to it being Palm Sunday, the other restaurant wasn't open. Ouzo bay was also out of half their menu (lobster, drinks, and steak). I have never heard of Ouzo Bay but was brought here by my boyfriend. My initial thoughts upon arriving was that is was a very trendy and upscale place. We went in September and had the option to sit in or outside. They also have a bar across the street on the water but the seating is first come first served and it is a small plates menu only. We decided to sit at the restaurant because we were starving! The food was all very good. The cocktails were amazing! I ordered the Blushing Nymph which was super sweet but that is how I like my cocktails and my partner ordered Where the Sun Meets the Sand and he was very pleased with the Smokey taste it had. We weren't told this by our waiter so its a good thing we asked but- the fish prices are by pound. We were going to order the Kampachi which was $42 and I thought that was a steal but its by pound and the fish is about 5-6 pounds so.... Good thing we asked because if we received the bill we would have been very confused. We ordered the Aegean Bronzino with Baked Cheese & Phyllo and a spread as an appetizer. Overall that filled us up and the bill ended up being about $100 between the 2 of us which isn't bad. Apprehensive because many restaurants don't do lamb right, we wondered whether the pricey dish would leave him unfulfilled. That was NOT the case. Pricey but delicious. Up there in the $$$ range, I really expect everything to be on the next level. SERVICE I'm happy to say that service and hospitality were EXCELLENT! No need was left unmet and that's really saying something considering we were a group of 14 people. Wine flowed freely and water glasses stayed full. I particularly appreciated that they took the time to properly present each bottle of wine for inspection and tasting before pouring. I've been in many situations where the hustle of dinner takes over and those formalities get passed over after the first bottle. Kudos to the staff. FOOD The food was a mixed affair. Some hits and some misses. I give everything 5 Stars for presentation, but some of the dishes were just so so once you bit in. STARTERS The Tiropita, Dolmades, and Spanakopita were pretty good (maybe pass on these if you are already familiar with Greek food); but the Lamb Meatballs, Watermelon Salad, and Grilled Octopus were fantastic! The group concensus for best starter was the Date, Goat Cheese, & Herb Spread. I'd make an argument for the Flaming Saganaki though (eat it while it's hot! Don't wait!!!). I'm a sucker for a good show. SIDES We had a couple of everything (except the Mac & Cheese) and it was all great. You won't be disappointed in any of these. That said, each one is priced separately from the main dish and at $8 each, they'll run up your bill quickly. MAINS The Lamb Shank was very good. The Branzino was perfectly cooked and quite tasty, but only partially deboned (careful!). I was disappointed in the Lobster Pasta. It sounded delicious (and was a very pricey dish), but was just OK. The spicy sauce overpowered the dish. I didnt get to try any of the other mains, but people generally reported being satisfied. DESSERT Finally the most important part! The Galaktoboureko was delicious and the Blood Orange Sorbet its served with was the highlight of the night. The Chocolate Cheesecake was a big hit all around. Oh the waiter can make all the difference! Ate with a group from all over the country last night. We were in relatively early and were seated near the bar, which was packed, and very noisy. They must have a good happy hour. We could barely converse across the table. The waiter took our order and wine and appetizers were served. Ok. Food orders were taken and the food came. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food - a win because none of us had been there before. That's when the fun began. We were traveling on business and neglected to mention and the waiter failed to ask - but we needed separate a check for the alcohol, which our employer will not pay for. Ok. We would prefer separate food checks to which he said it would take a while, clearly annoyed. We came up with a plan that we would split the bill evenly, which we thought would be much easier for him - but he did not return for about 30 minutes. Then we caught his arm and told him about the even split of all food and he said proudly "Well, that would be easier for me!" He did not return for at least another 10-15 minutes when one of our group approach the manager who said - "You are not checked out yet!?" And the allocated bills magically appeared. read more

Ouzo Bay honestly did not live up to its name and reputation. We started with their squash chips, which was DRENCHED in oil and refried in a recycled way; not fresh at all. All I could taste was the oil I was not happy with it at all. I asked our server for some sort of sauce to make it better but he brought out more olive oil with vinaigrette.... yeah I'll leave it up to your imagination on how that tasted. For our main course, we ordered the Black Sea Bass, which wasn't anything spectacular. It was definitely not memorable. The Australian Lamb Chops were a bit better but it was a bit too gamey. I'm a huge fan of lamb but I definitely enjoyed the veggies it came with more than the meat. For the wine, we took the server's recommendation with a lighter blend of the red and just did a glass each. I probably wouldn't go back though. The ambience is unique and has a blue lighting at the entrance that makes it seem like a club entrance of some sort. The location is great but the food was disappointing. read more

I've always ordered the lamb shank from here, because it's so juicy and tender, but unfortunately at this visit, they were out. What was I gonna do? I went on a whim and ordered the swordfish chop. WOW! At first glance, I was surprised how big a cut that was. When I took that first bite, I was in awe. The taste of the savory truffle-caper crust with the refreshing zesty taste of lemon did not surprisingly undermine the flavor of the swordfish. This dish was to die for and it's a dish I will definitely have to reorder. A HIGHLY recommend from me. I loved the roasted Brussels sprouts that came along with the dish; well seasoned. As for the sides, the lobster Mac and cheese was really good. The cheese was a bit too runny for my taste, I wish it was bit thicker and it would've been perfect. The garlic mushrooms were also a really good compliment. I tried so hard to control how much I ate since I was sharing the sides. Lastly I'll mention the appetizer which was the wagyu stuffed grape leaves. It wasn't that spectacular, but it wasn't bad. It just didn't stand out for me, so this appetizer is an easy pass for me. The waiter was really attentive and checked with us at a good frequent wait! As always, service is very important and they didn't fall short. The tzatziki was fresh and delicious, the muscles grilled calamari was tender and slightly spicy, the baklava was perfect with a hint of cinnamon and a side of crunchy pistachios and the muscles were actually the best I've ever had.
