Love this place! It's always so busy here at night so make sure you come in the afternoon! Our server was fast, courteous and attentive. We all got the signature pan roasts, with our rice on the side. The rice on the side avoids you getting full fast and not being able to finish your food the pan roasts we ordered were the signature pan roasts, we also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which was amazing. Located inside Sunset Station Casino. Parking is aplenty and easily accessible. No reservations required for small parties. We've been here several times. Ever since they dropped the COVID restrictions it's been easy to walk in and find a table with minimal wait for a group of 2-4. Pricing is decent and slightly lower than the Palace Station Oyster Bar. To be clear though they are both Oyster Bars operated by Station Casinos, they are not the same. While their menus offer mostly the same items it is not identical. This location would not do the Dirty Chowder that I normally like to get at Palace Station. This visit I tried their Etoufee and it was very flavorful. However the seafood seemed slightly more overcooked, especially noticeable with the shrimps. The service was very lackluster during our visit. Our water was not refilled and the cook at the bar counter that served us had a very condescending tone and demeanor towards us. He was also wasting food left and right as I saw him cutting an avocado to only drop half of it on the floor. The reason I am giving 4 stars is mostly because I don't have to wait to get a quick Oyster Bar fix without having to stand for 2+ hours at Palace Station. The service was just not good. Our server took at least 10 minutes having a full on personal conversation with what looked like a friend of hers who came in. Just waiting on her to finish her conversation so we can be helped. Once she did she took order & the appetizer took long to be made (shrimp cocktail). She also had an attitude when we asked for extra napkins. As for the food. The jambalaya was good. Next time I would ask them to put the rice sewerage but it was fine. I wouldn't go out my way for the place. Just had a bad server. Maybe one day I'll give them another try & have a better server. read more

My go to spot that never disappoints. I've gotten their spice level as high as a 7/8. Next time I will try the full heat. It's so good every time savory delicious and full of seafood and rice. I love the sunset roasts, it's so much food I always have leftovers. I love how they cook it right in front of you & oysters are the some of the biggest I've ever had, not really a wait at the Sunset in Henderson so it's like my little guilty pleasure a little drive away from the strip, but instantly rewarding. I go every time while I'm in Vegas. I'm still not tired of it after all these years. They get my taste buds! My mouth is watering just thinking about my next vegas trip! Definitely try them!!!!! Last weeks date night choice we didn't have reservations but luckily they welcomed walk-ins. We sat next to the waterfall, it's a really beautiful place with a beautiful atmosphere. I had gotten the cucumber martini and it was so tasty and refreshing! The complimentary rolls are made from English muffin bread, also the Caesar salad was a great portion to hold you over before dinner! They have so many great choices on the menu, I highly suggest the Seafood Jambalaya. My boyfriend had gotten the Crab Gumbo and loved it just as much. My husband and I are on a Oyster Bar Tour of our own Our second restaurant so far. We got the Specialty Oysters- Kusshi Oysters from Canada. So fresh and so yummy I could eat a bag full lol but too expensive for my wallet.. but you have to try it once! I always have to get the Pan Roast, mine was medium spicy BUT daaang she kicks! So far this was my favorite overall! It was rich and creamy flavor was OH SO GOOD! Husband got the Bouillabaisse, strong spice flavors.. saffron? Basil? If you like strong flavors, get it! Limited seating, so I went on a weekday close to opening time and sat at the bar right away. One team member tending to the bar and one out on the floor tending to all the tables. This makes for somewhat slow service, but overall it's good and attentive. After years of anticipation I finally got a chance to visit one of the Station casino Oyster Bars. Although I always had in mind to make it the one at Palace Station, it just hasn't happened. I was near Sunset Station and it finally did. Now for the food... I only had the combo pan roast and holy crap is it good and worth every penny of the $33 price tag. People next to me were having some sort of intricate salad and they raved about it. Other neighbors were having some fresh oysters "less earthy" as they called them, and then a seafood platter of some sort. They were giving high praises to all their food as well. I'm a good eater so the pan roast was great for me, but I can easily have shared it with someone and had another plate to share as well. Check it out. I don't know if the palace station is that much better but this was excellent nonetheless. read more

The one located at Palace Station was packed and had a line like no other. Decided to drive out to Henderson as a result just because we were in the mood for this food. Beyond worth the drive, I will tell you that. I could eat at this place every day that we are out here it is that good. Got here around 9 PM as they close at 10 PM. There are people that came in close to 10 PM. Anyhow, the three guys in the kitchen were super cool. Great service and all from the three of them. The New England clam chowder is good but the Pan Roast is next level. The flavoring and rice combination is where it's at. The cheesecake is made in house with Philadelphia cream cheese, you can taste it. Topped with a strawberry sauce and a good crust, it was a definitive hit. Delicious pan roast without the long wait! Only had to wait about 15 minutes to get seated. Pan roast arrived about 20 minutes after ordering. Food was delicious and tasty. We had rice on the side but the rice proportion was less than the other Oyster Bar locations. They ran out of a lot of things for cocktails. However, server was nice. Food was great. Great food, terrible service from the big guy. I got lucky with no wait time on a Saturday night. Very slow service. He gave me a menu at least 10 minutes after I got there. He was not courteous. He disappeared for awhile. He didn't check on me. I asked for to go containers and had to wait another 10 minutes. Then 10-15 more minutes to get the check. The service from the 5 other employees I interacted with was great. The guy that cleaned the bar and seated me. The guy that said someone will be right with me. The guy that served my order. I'm so glad this Oyster Bar is still able to operate during Covid. This place is a hidden gem located inside Sunset Casino in Henderson. Located right across the street from the Galleria Mall. You can park at the bowling alley entrance and it's a short walk to the Oyster bar. They have plenty of seating around the bar and your still able to social distance. There are also table set up around the bar for larger parties (4-5 people) if you don't want to sit at the bars The seafood is delicious. We order the charbroiled oysters, shrimp cocktail, king crab legs and drinks. The bill was $191 but mostly because we had two orders of crab legs. A couple can eat for much less because most of the entrees are between $20-30. The crab legs were the best you didn't have to crack any shells the crab legs were given to you with only half the shell a so it makes it very easy to eat. The food I give 5 yelp stars everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back. All the staff was friendly and the prices are reasonable. Definitely one of my new favorite seafood places in Henderson for a date night. read more

A wonderful experience. They don't take Reservations, so we had a 15 minute wait for seating, but that wasn't a problem, especially as quick and attentive as the staff proved to be! We sat at the bar (at our request) and enjoyed watching the chefs as they prepared all the courses. I had a Caesar's salad with jumbo shrimp that were tender and succulent. My guest had the Shrimp and Lobster Fra Diabolo, mild seasoned. We have been going to this Oyster Bar ever since the casino opened back in circa 2010...although it's changed management numerous times over the years, we've never been disappointed until tonight. We sat for 45 minutes waiting for our meal( there was only two us) while watching others who were seated after us get served, we finally asked for a manager and a check for our drinks....10 minutes passed till the waitress reappeared totally apologetic with our tab and then eventually the poor little manager who apologized saying there was no chef on duty....WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND? ???? I got the feeling this was a whole new crew and management thing...we won't go back there to eat or Sunset Station to gamble. read more

When I go to a stations casino oyster bar I want to see consistency. This oyster bar at Sunset Station did not disappoint. From the atmosphere, staff and to most importantly the food is amazing. First my friend Roger and I wanted to go for dinner, I suggested Oyster Bar since it was close to his place and they have a decent selection in the menu. We browsed the menu but I knew what I wanted already and he was amazed at the selections of the dishes coming out fro the kettles. Once we got our beverages, I had an arnold palmer and he had a root beer which he swears taste like the ole time soda shops, we had the bread they usually give about 1.5 per person to start but they wont hesitate to give patrons more. Then we ordered our entrees, I had the signature pan roast with gumbo base and spice level of 5 it was perfect the seafood the peppers and onions and brandy mellowed together in harmony almost as good as Palace station's version. My friend had the shrimp and lobster fra diavolo with a little more bread to mop the juices it was a great dish. I would definitely come here again. The price is 2 dollars less than Tides version at GVR better quality and does not fell like you are getting ripped off. Thank you for the great experience and we will see ya'll soon. read more

So how does this place compare to the much hyped up other Station Casino oyster bar? That's what inquiring Yelpers wanted to know. Well I'm just going to say, "It's alright!"....only because I want this ever so delicious dish all to myself. Hah! Seriously though, I was in oyster pan roast heaven after the first spoonful. This review is solely based on our order for the Signature Pan Roast which had shrimp, crab and lobster. Broth base - Creamy and perfect amount and blend of seasonings and spices. My friend said she likes this one better over Palace's pan roast because the one here is creamier. Plump shrimp, good size ones too! Chunks of lobster and crab tasted fresh as well. The pan roast overall did not have any fishy smell and taste. I did not have any allergy reactions after 24 hours. This was an important factor for me since Im allergic to shell fish. S/O to Dyanna L and her review of this place! I was more at ease when I read that people in her party that have seafood allergies did fine too. Portion - huge bowl ..no way I could finish it. So my friend and I ended up splitting one. The now halved portion size was plenty hearty and filling enough for us. The huge bowl is well worth the twenty dollars spent. We also had a side green salad which was also plentiful. Oh yeah, our server also brought out a basket of fresh sourdough rolls and flat bread. So our meal was pretty filling. The Pan Roasts are made to order. You can view the chefs making them either close up front at the oyster bar or sitting at your table/booths surrounding the dining area. On our visit it was mid afternoon, there was no lines or wait to be seated. The sign at entrance says "seat yourself" . It was fairly busy but we found a table easily. Service - Meets Standards. Acknowledged as soon as we seated ourselves. Drink orders taken right away. Taking our main order took a bit longer than it should though. Had to help ourselves and got our own menus and wait for our server to come around. Once our orders were taken, got our bread and pan roast was served promptly. Got checked up on and drinks refilled when needed. The Oyster Bar (also formerly known as Costa De Sol) is open and airy set in a grotto like alcove in Sunset Station. Noise level slightly high. You got the sound from water fountains and the slot machines to deal with. Still beats the smoky filled, small and crowded one over at Palace. I still have yet to try Palace Station's version but overall consensus the one here is; "it's as good as it gets!" So keep going to the hyped up oyster bar in Vegas so that way I can always enjoy pan roast here minus long wait times! read more

I felt like a mermaid sitting at the restaurant. The ambiance is good and I was really looking forward to some yummy yummy oysters. They do the WORST job shucking oysters! The oysters are loaded with shell fragments!! I watched them and they just jammed the tool all up the oysters without gently popping the hinge and conserving the juice inside the oyster. Came to the Oyster Bar for the Pan Roast--this is a have a drink and relax with a friend kind of place. Belly up to the bar and talk to Russ while he makes your meal. We shared a dozen Oysters on the Half-Shell, a Caesar Salad, and the Pan Roast. If you're not sure what kind of Oysters you'll like you can get a mixed order. Oysters are served with lemons and horseradish-spiked cocktail sauce, if you want shoyu and Tabasco they have it if you ask. The Oysters were mild in flavor, I just wish they had better sauce accompaniments. The Caesar was just a salad, not particularly memorable, but it made us feel good to eat some veggies. The Pan Roast is the clear All Star. We got the House Special with the mixed seafood. Lobster, Crab, Shrimp, and diced Veggies are boiled in seafood stock, wine, and sauce until it thickens and becomes a consistency similar to chowder. When the Pan Roast is ready, it's served over rice. Rich, hearty, flavorful, and full of bites of seafood; it was plenty to share with the other items we ordered. I love this Oyster Bar. I also love the fact it's located far off the strip from touristy ground zero. I've seen lines at the Oyster Bar in the Palace Station 50 people deep just waiting to get a table or seat. Not Sunset Station though, we just walked right in and sat down. It's always been that way when we come here. This time around we went with a big Shrimp Cocktail, Combination Pan Roast, and House ÉTouffée. The House ÉTouffée has cajun seasonings, shrimp, crab, and lobster served with rice. The Combo Pan Roast comes with brandy, cream, and tomato sauce. Chock full of shrimp, crab, and lobster served with rice. They do not skimp on the fresh seafood here. Fantastic! 5/5 Stars for the Oyster Bar at Sunset Station. read more

It is advertised they close at 10 PM. We called at 9 PM to confirm what time they close, and they said 10 PM. We showed up at 9:35 PM, and a waiter says they're closed. I said but you advertised 10 PM. He said he knows but they start closing at 9:45 PM. I told him it was 9:35 PM, but he told me that they were closed. It's a nice little oyster bar restaurant with really good seafood. I always sit at the oyster bar and watch them cook but they have a few booths and tables too. I always get the seafood pan roast with shrimp, crab and lobster over rice kind of like a seafood stew it's about $24 but will fill you up.
