    Country Fried Steak and Eggs

Mixed reviews had me thinking twice but I went anyways. Love the classic diner style and decor. Busy place offering classic American cuisine. We waited about 20 minutes. The service was hit or miss and a little chaotic. They forgot a couple of our items. I tried their country fried steak. Small but flavorful so I'll take that. My wife loved her corned beef hash. She hadn't had one that good in a long time. My kids shared a turkey sandwich and bacon n eggs. They had no complaints. The prices are reasonable. Good food with a unique experience.

Season fries were perfectly fried and tasty and crunchy. The banana split was delicious they use Thrifty Ice Cream so you know its good. Friendly host / server. Great decor great food. Come on sunday you will like the nostalgia of this establishment.

We were in the area for shopping and decided to grab some food at Ozzie's. We came in on November 30th, around 2pm and were able to grab a both and order. I ordered the Hot Link breakfast with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and sourdough toast. It was very good and tasty, great meal. Our server was Maria.M and she was very nice and took care of us for our entire meal. Nice diner with plenty of seating and good prices. Plenty of parking as well.

After a really long day of traveling, we ended up here at Ozzies Diner. What a gem this place is. The waitress was wonderful. The food was also very good and had some good portions for the price. My spaghetti came with a delicious salad. Also the noodles were very different! They were very thick and tasted super good with the sauce!

Great experience coming here today I always drive by when going home so my family and I decided to stop by and give it a try. All the food was good and it came out really quick even though they were backed up. The employees are all friendly and in good moods . We will definitely come back

Ozzie's Diner is a real 1950's diner. It is not a newer nicer dressed up to be a 50's diner. It is the real thing. It is family owned. They serve wonderful comfort food, just like you would get in any great diner. They also have a full bar. The place is so cute and comfortable. There is a counter and great booths. It is spotless inside and out. There is not a bad meal to be had there. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their breakfast fare is great. Their pancakes are fluffy and wonderful. Their hash browns are divine. You have to try their biscuits and gravy. Their waffles are super tasty. We especially love their burgers. They are cooked to order just the way you might want them. Their fries are great and they have a chili that is wonderful. The mac and cheese is so very good. They can make a great salad. You will love their beefeater sandwich. They have a menudo soup that is just the best. Parking is easy and free. The service is fast and very friendly. All of the staff is great. You will love this place.

First time being at this restaurant and I have always passed by. Now that I've discovered this place I'll definitely be returning. Good food, good service and looks like a local favorite.

I had Ozzie's on my list. I was in the area at the right time for lunch and stopped by. The restaurant has been in business sense 1957 . It does also have a bar in the back. The restaurant has that old dinner look to it . It was clean and looks great. I ordered the Ozzie club with Cole slaw. They do have many choices on the menu. The food came out and it all looked delicious. I enjoy the the Cole slaw. It had a sweet flavor and a little bit of vinegar flavor too. The sandwich is on lightly toasted bread with cranberry sauce. I really enjoyed it. The waitress was friendly too Overall I was happy I stopped by.

Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I am working down a list of all diners in LA and this being a well-known one on the list. Located in Commerce it's not my favorite area of town, but the food quality is worth the visit. They have a large parking lot with free parking and all of the staff that we encountered were very polite and prompt. Inside is quite large and half of it is a sports bar with big screen TVs and a full service bar. They did a good job on the design inside and would definitely be somewhere I'd want to check out in a future visit. They don't have outdoor seating but plenty of indoor options. They have a huge menu filled with all sorts of classics and they really market their steaks and meat, especially. For my breakfast, I chose the Hamburger Steak & Eggs and thought it was all around great. The patty was extra flavorful and I opted for a side biscuit with gravy, which was a great choice because it was very fluffy and very good. Pricing is extremely fair and the portion sizes are large. I would definitely recommend to any fan of diners and especially anyone in or visiting this part of LA.

This place was a great experience! Evelyn was amazing and definitely needs a raise and Riccardo fixed us the best breakfast for a late dinner and needs to be on the food network! Definitely go to Ozzie's!

What time is the bar and grill side open?

I don't know when they open the bar and grill side. I would call and see what they say.

How much for the fish and chips?

Not sure how much the fish and chips cost. I would guess between $10-15 dollars.

Super nice, quick, delivered everything we asked for without question. The food was as expected for a Ruby's. I love how when you order a milkshake, they bring the extra left in the mixing container, so you get a small milkshake along with your big milkshake. Sadly, we're getting older and just don't eat as much anymore, so the milkshake was kind of a waste, but the chocolate mint shake is great! I got lucky and grabbed a parking spot right up front as someone was leaving. Funny enough, during just one visit I ran into two people I knew. One friend told me she's been bringing her kids here since they were little, and another said he's been coming here forever. The place is small and cozy -- only a couple of four-top tables, a few two-seaters, and an old-school counter bar setup. I happened to get one of the larger tables at the right time. The breakfast portions were hearty and really good, and my little one loved the pancakes. I noticed a lot of regulars ordering lunch too, so I'd definitely come back to try that next. The menu is your traditional American diner style bacon cheeseburgers, pastrami, tuna melts, breakfast plates, and all the classics. The gentlemen taking care of me and my little one was really nice. So many of these places have been handed down to the owners' kids. I can't help but think about how hard the original owners worked to build a loyal customer base and the love they poured into their businesses, only to watch some of the next generation chip away at that reputation with poor service and a careless attitude. Then another thought crossed my mind. Maybe, in some cases, the service was never that great to begin with. Maybe the food was just good enough that customers kept coming back anyway. After all, if the food is good enough, people are willing to overlook a lot. Unfortunately, that's exactly how I felt during this visit to Burger Basket Cafe. The food keeps bringing me back, but every visit seems to remind me that good food can only make up for so much. Friendly, attentive service matters too, and it's disappointing to see a neighborhood institution coast on its reputation instead of making customers feel appreciated.

One of the fork/knife/napkin wraps was dirty. The staff itself is slow and taciturn - neutral instead of friendly or welcoming. It's a cavernous space which is quite noisy when very many tables are occupied. Dishes are brought out by a cute robot (which also plays "Happy Birthday") with the staff actually serving the items. Again, the robot was less than pristine. The food was pedestrian. Most of the items did not have a "home made" look or taste. The house sauce was on many things and was unremarkable. Some items were close to inedible: as an example, in an order of chicken parmesan, the chicken was very thin, tough, and stringy, and the coating was overcooked. Interestingly, it was served with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and carrots instead of pasta. In a final negative note, a 3% "Restaurant Management Fee" was added to the bill. None of our party can recall any mention of that before the bill was presented. Not a place we will return to.
