Really disappointed with my dinner... warning DO NOT ORDER THE SUSHI HERE!! Not only did it taste like store bought pre-made sushi, but it was way too expensive for the quality of it. This P.F. Chang's recently reopened for dine-in. We called to make an appointment at 7, and were told they did not have any openings then and they could do only 6:45 or 7:15. So we chose 6:45. When we got there, the place was completely empty. Why couldn't they take us at 7? No clue. A party of four walked in at 7 and were seated immediately. P.F. Chang's is not providing food menus right now, apparently. The server hands you a giant drink menu with a QR code on it to scan on your iPhone to look at the food menu. What happens if you don't have a smartphone? Do you just... not eat? After we ordered, I noticed an ant crawling on my table. My wife pointed out another a few minutes later. I looked down to my left, and there were TONS of ants crawling around by the wall. The server seated us somewhere else, but did not clean the area. The entire meal should've been free after that. Nope. We were not offered ANY discount, we were handed a full bill. (Overpriced for low-quality knockoff Chinese-American food, I might add). A small thing compared to the ants, but I tried to go to the bathroom only to find another server guarding it because the women's restroom was out of order and there was a woman in the men's. I have been coming to PF Chang's for years in this was the best experience by far! I was accompanied by my sister who has a severe egg allergy. We sat at the bar for lunch and our server Jared went above and beyond to make sure she got full PF Chang's experience. No. The food should be better. Overall a great place but disappointing food. California roll = weird. Ok, not a Japanese place. Wonton soup = bland with a flavor I'm not sure it's supposed to have. Ginger chicken entree, bland again. I know, it's a healthy choice, but it could have taste. The only thing that was good was the fried rice with shrimp, chicken, and beef. With the hot mustard. 6 out of 10. I wasn't paying so can't comment on price. The horses out front are cool and nice atmosphere, but that doesn't mean the food can't be good. read more

I've always had great experiences at this P.F. Chang's. Even though the restaurant is small, each visit I've had there was no wait which is awesome. I don't think many people think to come in because of it's location. Service is great. I will say I paid $3.50 for a cup of the hot and sour soup which is ridiculous. This review is based mainly on the service. We were at PF Chang's on a Friday night at 6:30. My 8 year old daughter had chosen this restaurant for her birthday. We arrived about 10 minutes early to a nearly empty restaurant and were made to wait the 10 minutes until our reservation time. Once we were seated we waited about another 10 minutes before our server, Walter, greeted us. We gave him our drink orders (sodas and lemonades) and ordered 2 appetizers. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks did. While we were waiting for our appetizers, we placed our dinner order. We ordered soup to come out after our appetizers, but before our entrees. Once we finished our appetizers, we had to ask to have our plates cleared. We also had to ask for refills. After waiting for about another 10-15 minutes, I asked if our soup was coming. The server said that he thought we wanted it with our entrees. I explained again that we wanted it before our entrees, so he did go get it. When our entrees came out, we still had our empty soup bowls in front of us. Instead of removing those before putting our dinners down, he pushed them aside with our plates. We gathered up the soup bowls ourselves, and had to ask him to take them. When we were finished eating, we sat there with our dishes in front of us for a good 20 minutes before Walter noticed and came over. He was standing across the room talking to other servers and never once checked on us to see if we needed anything. When he finally came, we ordered dessert and reminded him that it was my daughters birthday. We let her get her own Great Wall cake since it was her birthday, so o ordered my own. Walter felt it was necessary to tell me how big the cake was, making me feel funny about ordering it. When he brought out dessert, our dirty dinner plates were all still on the table and he again just pushed them over to set our desserts down. He even brought my daughter a sparkler and sat in next to her dirty plate. The manager came by at this point and was so nice! He cleared our dirty dishes away and apologized (we hadn't even said anything about it to him.) We had to flag Walter down again to get our check because again he was standing and talking. Our bill came to $150 and we tipped 15%. Normally we would tip at least 20%. This morning I checked my bank account and saw that I was charged $370 instead of $170! I called and whoever I spoke to was so nice and fixed it, but I think Walter needs to find a new job! The service industry is definitely not for him! read more

I actually really love this P.F Chang's! It holds a special place in my heart because it was the first restaurant i went on a date to with my fiancé way back when. I've tried plenty of menu items over the course of time and can say I've never had a bad meal. The soups are a very good start to the meal, and my absolute favorite is the spring rolls app. I can't go without getting them. Entrees are always solid and well cooked. We always get two items to share and have plenty to go around! For a chain style restaurant i do really enjoy it. Most of the time i wouldn't drive so far for this type of food when i have a family owned restaurant in town that serves fabulous Chinese food, but when we want a little more of an up-scale feel, this perfectly fits the bill. read more

I find this American chinese fusion restaurant a hit or miss. I ordered the salmon dish and it was a bit raw one occasion and overcooked another. The brown rice was similar, in that it was too dry one occasion and ok the next. Need better cooks who understand chinese cooking. I once had the stirred fried chicken broccoli and the chicken was drowned in so much ginger sauce. The chicken tasted boiled not stirred fried. I usually have an awesome experience when I go to any of the PF Chang's in the Tri-state area but I was very disappointed with my lunch today. I know we are under takeout only restrictions right now but in my opinion you should have your best person on the phone's answering the calls and for whatever reason the person answering today did not seem to be at their best. But more importantly my lettuce wraps which are normally my go to meal every single time I am at a PF Chang's were oily and burnt/ over cooked... and the lettuce was not as fresh as normal, several pieces of the lettuce were not the best quality and a little wilted ! Had a very mediocre experience at PF Chang. Servers were everywhere. So many, they were standing around waiting to help people. The restaurant was moderately busy. Over half the tables full. There were three hosts even. Seems overkill to me. Where they didn't have staff was in the kitchen where it matters most. Our appetizer came out after the dinner. It was comped and wasn't even complete (missing a slaw on the side). Server was embarrassed by the lack of kitchen staff and slowness. Our main course was less than fresh. Seemed like it was cooked more than once. Front of house staff was friendly, present, and attentive. The kitchen was terrible. read more

I ate here for my father's birthday last week and we had a great time. We had reservations for 6pm, and were promptly seated when we arrived even though the place looked packed. Reservations here seem to actually be *reservations*, imagine that! The lighting was low and I love the mural they have up over the back of the bistro. Our waiter was polite and prompt, and although the people who brought out our food was not our waiter (sometimes people don't like that), it was delivered speedily which was impressive due to the crowd. I never had to think "where's our food?". We had the salt and pepper calamari and crab rangoon for appetizers (both delicious). We made the mistake of getting 4 entrees like you would normally do at a restaurant-- if I go back, we'd order like we order from a chinese place, for the WHOLE table instead of individuals. Even so, all the entrees were great. The kung pao was not very spicy, to the dismay of my father and fiance (but to my delight), just as a warning. And if you go.. PLEASE get the coconut ice cream with the banana rolls for dessert. It was AMAZING. I would definitely go back here again. My only complaint at all was that it was very noisy and hard to hear each other talk in the restaurant, but overall a great experience! read more

Half the dishes here had way too much soy sauce and I think every dish had soy sauce... The waiter was really good! The ambiance is really nice. However, I just can't appreciate salty food. Usually do not write negative reviews, but lack of sympathy on their end made me want to write this. I go here quite often for lunch and always have a great experience. However today after picking up my order and driving half an hour away to meet my wife for lunch I realized they forgot half of my order. I was to far away to go back and pick up the missing portions so I decided to call to let them know of their mistake. I am not looking for a handout, just acknowledgment from them of their mistake. I pay close to 30 dollars for a simple lunch and to have it half missing does not sit right with me. Anyway upon talking to their phone representative all she had to offer was "I'll tell them in the back" and hung up, no apology or anything else to say. I've been to this, and other, PF Chang's restaurants many times and never actually wrote a review because, well, it's a chain and it's good for what it is. I have a number of favorites, including the lettuce wraps, kung pao & changs spicy chicken, the hot and sour soup while a bit salty is tasty, and the northern-style spare ribs are amazing. Now to explain the 1 star... We went here for lunch on my birthday, 10/15, with my wife and a couple friends. It's taken me more than 2 months to write this review because I really enjoy it (for what it is) and was hoping I'd get over the experience -- but I can't. The disaster of a lunch seemed like it would start well. It was a little before noon and it was pretty empty, only a few other tables. What proceeded after sitting down, however, quickly changed our view. After being seated we noticed most of the plates & silverware were dirty. Not water spotted, but actual crusted food. We asked for clean plates and utensils and they were quickly replaced. We then ordered glasses of wine. Hey, it's my birthday, why not celebrate like the responsible adults we are? When the wine finally came out, my wife's glass had a good bit of lipstick on it -- so she asked for a new glass. The waitress was clearly annoyed but obliged my wife and got her a new glass. Some time later after we placed our order our appetizers came out (two orders of northern-style spareribs and Korean lollipop chicken wings). We each had a couple of the ribs and they were AMAZING, as usual. I then went to take a bite of one of the chicken wings and proceeded to immediately spit it out. The chicken was RAW! Not just slightly under-cooked, no, but pink flesh flowing juices. My friend took a bite from the other order and had the same issue! Apparently something was lost in translation with the cook as he seemed to think 30sec was probably enough time to fry a chicken wing. We immediately asked for the manager and she apologized profusely, saying they'll be more diligent in making sure the food is cooked appropriately. Thanks, that will comfort me immensely while I'm spending the rest of the day/night in the bathroom throwing up. After the appetizers it took FOREVER for our food to show up. When it finally did show up it was so staggered apart we basically didn't get to eat together. They also did this to the table next to us -- their orders came out so far apart they couldn't eat together. In the end, the manager GRACIOUSLY removed the raw chicken from our bill, but that was the extent of how "truly sorry" she was for the terrible experience. It will be a LONG time, if ever, before I go to a PF Chang's ... who knew that feeding me raw chicken and providing sub-par service would be such a contentious issue for me! read more

Don't get he hype about this place. Inside it's so noisy you cant hear table mates. You are squeezed in so close to other diners it's nerve racking unless you get a booth. Forget about the tables back by the bar. When the waitstaff comes to serve the table next to you you wind up with their butt in your face because it's too tight seating. I was there in June and the waiter taking the order of the table next to me spilled their drink and it hit my sandaled foot and left a puddle under my table. Asked him twice to wipe it up and he put his hand up to me twice in a dismissive move but I felt he would wipe it up. He never did. Oh .... And the food there is so overly seasoned. I was introduced to PF Chang's in Boston years ago, and have not gotten over my crush since. This location lived up to my own self-hype with their lettuce wrap appetizer, fragrant beef fried rice and incredible coconut shrimp. In fact, I've never gotten anything here that I haven't a) eaten my fill of, b) then eaten way too much more than my fill of or c) enjoyed thoroughly. Call me a sell out for loving a chain restaurant this much, but I'm sorry. I will not deny my adoration for PF Chang's just because their servers are probably trained at something called PF Chang's University. The service is always spot on and quick, the food comes our fast and is always hot and delicious, and we always have ample leftovers even AFTER eating our faces off. OH! And if you're in the market for a cocktail while you're there, try the key lime martini. It's more like dessert than a drink, but give it a try anytime. There are graham cracker crumbs on the rim. I have heard rave reviews about this place and was really excited when this one opened up relatively close to my house. Although I had heard it was expensive, I was looking for an opportunity to try it out. That opportunity came last Friday when I was too tired to cook and looking for a way to reward myself after a long work week. I looked up reviews and decided to try their lettuce wraps and to get a lunch bowl (since they are more reasonably priced). The gentleman taking my order was very polite, patient and thorough. He went through a few different options of what to pick and then made sure to ask me my preferences for different things that came with the order (sauces, brown v. white rice or both, types of soup). I ended up deciding to get the egg drop soup with the sesame chicken rice bowl with a mixture of brown and white rice. Even though I arrived really late to pick up my food (got held up at work), the lady was very polite in taking my credit card, pointing out the restroom and going to get my order. Incidentally, the place was decorated in dark colors with clean lines. The bathroom was relatively clean too. When I came back, the lady went through my takeout bag to make sure all the components of my meal was there. This was such a great idea; why do not all restaurants do this? Before the customer leaves your establishment, make sure their order is complete! Unfortunately, that is where the good part of this story ends. I will tell the rest of my tale with this one caveat, I got home and had to do a "few things" and so I had to heat up my dinner before eating it. There is a chance that this delay and reheating may have compromised some of the quality of the food. I started out with the egg drop soup. It was in a word - DISGUSTING! I barely was able to finish it (I detest wasting food, but thought about throwing it out several times). To me the joy of an egg drop soup is the light flavorful broth. They had made the broth viscous - really, really slimy! I know people who are extremely sensitive to texture, I am not even one of them. The flavor was bland and there was not much egg in it. Unless you have an elderly relative that severely wronged you in the past, I say stay away from this soup. I moved onto the lettuce wraps next. I was really excited about this highly recommended dish. Overall, it was ehhh. There were only 4 pieces of lettuce, although they were a good size. There was a lot of filling, which is a good bonus, but the flavor to me was very strange. It had a smokiness that I did not care for (maybe you BBQ fans will like it), and I think I may have even been allergic to this dish. The taste is heavy and cloying, and stayed with me until even the morning after. The filling was made from eggs, shitake mushrooms, water chestnuts and maybe chicken (I did not really find it in there). The sauce was dark and very oily. The fried white noodles, however, were very good and a good combination with the flavors. It gave the dish a much needed lighter lift and crunch. The sesame chicken also was a disappointment. I expected it to be fried, which it was not. The broccoli was cooked and wilted. The flavors of the sauce here were also strange, it tasted heavily of fish sauce. It also had a few chunks of ginger in it, which is not really a typical sesame chicken ingredient. I am Chinese, so perhaps I expected more traditional flavors, but it seemed to me that fusion really means highlighting all the Asian flavors I hate most. Blech. I would like to give this place a second try, but honestly the prices are prohibitively expensive. I would rather go to Han Dynasty which is much closer, probably still slightly cheaper and has amazing authentic Chinese food. read more

i have eaten here numerous times...and i have to say i love it...although Pei Wei is the same food, the variety is greater, they also serve alcohol. the servers are delightful, but the woman who greets you at the door is quite depressing. anyways..this place is business central...there is always some 'suit' eating and marketing and getting people drunk off saki....or eating the famous lettuce wraps, all in all. its an okay play to eat. but be forewarn....."eat this not that" claims they have some of the salties food on earth..but hey..have a glass of water after lunch..........is what i think!!! enjoy! read more

I used to absolutely love P.F. Chang's when it first came out, but it's starting to lose it's luster and become just another Chinese food restaurant. I went to the location in Glen Mills last night and it was pretty empty - but it was a rainy, Monday night, so I can see why crowds were flocking out and about. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. (If you plan on going on a weekend, I highly suggest you make reservations - you can do them online thru the company's website). We had a new waitress (it was her first night), so she got lucky with us since we're PF Chang's pros. We started with the chicken lettuce wraps, a staple in the menu. I've had this appetizer several times before and was never disappointed. For our entrees, my friend had the shrimp lo mein and I had the sichuan shrimp with brown rice. I didn't try the lo mein, but it looked pretty basic. My friend said it was a touch salty. The sichuan shrimp was just okay. The sauce was spicy (but not too much) and flavorful, but the shrimp, while plentiful, had a weird texture to them. I wasn't a huge fan. For dessert, I had the white oolong tea and we split the salted caramel cake. The tea was awesome - no complaints there! The salted caramel cake was also pretty good. There were little, cripsy, white chocolate balls on the top that we couldn't quite figure out - turns out we stumped the assisting waiter, too, since the desserts aren't made in house. (I'm really not sure why that surprises me so much.) All-in-all, service was good and dinner was just okay. I've defintely had better. took the family on a busy Friday night. service was friendly and the food was really good. we ordered three appetizers- dynamite shrimp, calamari, and the lettuce wraps. all came out fast, hot, and tasty. for entrees, we ordered sesame chicken, lemon chicken, lobster fried rice, hot/sour soup, and a spicy tuna roll. the soup came in a really, really big bowl- when they say a large bowl, they meant it. for dessert, we ordered a great wall of chocolate and the vanilla wontons. both were awesome. they did screw up one of the entrees- brought out the wrong item. they ended up giving it to us along with the right one. not a big deal as we weren't in any rush. nice, clean, consistent, friendly restaurant that is worth dining at. read more

Was there yesterday with a family member who had never tried P.F. Chang. I talked it up and told her she would love it. Well... Service was slow at 2pm. Many open tables but we wait 15-mins for a seat. No problem. Waiter was overwhelmed with many tables, no problem. We waited patiently, ordered appetizers, sodas and main course at same time to save home trips to our table. No problem. Bill came to table and waiter mentioned that we could scan the receipt and use Apple Pay to save time. Great! Paid and started to put on coat, stood up and waiter runs over to say payment did not work. Ok, pulled up credit card and showed transaction to waiter. But turns out we were given wrong receipt to scan. 20-minutes later with manager and waiter running back and forth with multiple receipts and my credit card we were finally ready to leave. Oh, the food was awful and certainly not work $75 plus tip ( I always tip, regardless...). Salty beef and broccoli, and half done honey chicken (ugh). Plus the extra 20-minutes to fix the payment. Been going for quite a while now. Food is consistently good and service at the bar is excellent. My favs are Mongolian Beef but with broccoli and carrots instead of the scallions. Chicken lettuce wraps are best of anywhere . the dumplings are also the best you'll get anywhere. Honeyfried chicken or shrimp are both good. Chang's chicken has a nice bite to it. I know its a chain and not authentic, but I'm a fan. I find that they use good quality meat (which is frequently an issue with chinese food). The lettuce wraps are excellent. The service, decor, and pricing are that of a chain restaurant. Okay, so what is all of the hype about this place? I would give it more of a 2.5 stars but that's not an option. So it's just a restaurant chain. They serve basically the same Chinese food that you can get at any local take out place but way more expensive and way less food. I've been to this particular location twice and was less than satisfied after the first, but that was a service issue, and their customer service was really nice in trying to rectify that issue. Gave the place a second shot, and was still not at all impressed. I didn't see anything on the menu that I haven't seen before that justifies the popularity of the chain. Yes, they have lettuce wraps. I get it. If I hear someone else tell me to try them, I may have to wrap them in lettuce. The food isn't bad, just the same old Chinese food. The lo mein was okay, could have been more meat in the combination than mushrooms. The wonton soup really doesn't need all that extra stuff, just maybe some actual flavor in the brother. And the wall of chocolate was ruined by the raspberry sauce. Why must we ruin perfectly fine chocolate with raspberry in so many situations? I've given it two tries, and next time after Charming Charlie's I will try Buffalo Wild Wings or just about anywhere else. read more
