Just okay. Everyone else loved it but to me it was nothing more than an overpriced glorified Panda Express. The Honey Shrimp tasted the exact same as what you'd get at Panda. The Sea Salt & Pepper Prawns were just okay. Lo Mein and FR just okay. Both styles of ribs, however, were legit but expensive. And the Fried Green Beans were the biggest crowd pleaser. I left without eating...Going down hill after being a "go to" spot for years...I just walked in, was made to wait by the hostess working on clearly much more pressing matters than seating guests...I had the temerity to ask for a paper menu and got "everything is being changed now, we don't have any"...interesting that the paper drinks menu is right there. Put in a Christmas Eve dinner order at 3pm. Pick up at 6:15. When we got there, there was a bunch of customers angry because orders were up to one hour behind. It was chaos. We didn't want to wait for our order as they had no control of their order book. I cancelled my order and was told they would credit my card the full amount. We went to a local Chinese restaurant that was on time with good food. To my amazement PF Chang's called me at 8:15, 2 hours after my original pick up time to tell me my order was ready. Went here for lunch with my coworkers. I had the orange peeled shrimp $10.50 plus fried rice which was $1 extra. Food was fresh, our server was polite and service was quick. They also have these new mini puddings for $2.75 each that come in a little mini mason jar. They were out of the strawberry cheesecake pudding so I tried the butterscotch pudding with actual butterscotch cookie crumbs on top. OMG Aaaahmazing! Not to sweet it was perfect, my coworker ordered the triple chocolate which has chocolate cake in the pudding and whipped cream on top with chocolate shavings, it was equally delicious. We went to celebrate a birthday. We have several immune compromised family, that can't do indoor dining. This location has a patio. We called Oct. 28 to check the patio was open. They said yes, but came the 29th as the weather would be warm. We arrived from Lake Zurich, Lake Bluff, Chicago, Highland Park only to be told they had no server for the patio. We assured them, if they could ask a server to pick up our table, we would be patient, in no hurry and tip well. The manager refused to accommodate us and was very rude and condescending. This left us in quite a pickle as my family had already arrived and we had to scramble to find another place close by that could seat us. Since Covid we have found restaurants with outdoor seating will bend over backwards to accommodate us, even in the winter if they can! It's no wonder this Location has only 4 stars average, while other Chicago area locations have 5 star averages. I think this location needs some new management. Restaurants are in the hospitality industry and have to please their customers, not disappoint them. read more

Americanized Asian cuisine. They have a very good selection of food and drinks, including classic cocktails and some with a cool twist. I got a sake sangria and it tasted pretty interesting! My favorite dish is the Dan Dan noodles. Long ago, I created this terrific dish named after myself (or so I'd like to think). Ive been eating at this PF Changs for at least a decade (infrequently) and the Dan Dan noodles have always been my go to meal. To my surprise, when I went here today, they had been taken off the menu! Luckily, I asked my server if they still had them and to my delight they did! They were just as good as I remember. My parents got the melon walnut shrimp and the kung 'bao' shrimp as my dad likes to call it. My girlfriend also got the lettuce wraps which are decent. Decent service and pretty consistent. I was a bit concerned to eat here as I have seen PF Chang's branded food in the grocery store freezer section. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the food tasted fresh, crisp, and unlike the frozen food I was expecting. Our party of 7 ordered a variety of foods including honey shrimp, lettuce wraps, and a few chicken and noodle dishes. Everyone enjoyed their order and the service was hassle free. I would recommend ordering family style to get a variety of flavors. Although we enjoyed our food, this restaurant is a chain and I prefer to go to local places with more character and authenticity. read more

Let me say that I'm very, very disappointed with this location. We ordered the chicken lettuce wrap and spring rolls. The wrap were barely luke warm but the spring rolls very hot. I've noticed the other patrons lettuce wraps were steaming hot . THEN we waited over half an hour. Others who cane after us were getting their dinner!!! I finally had to go outside to a manager who was overseeing a party of over 20 people. I told him we were waiting over 30 minutes and went to see what is happening. After another 10 minutes, the food came out. SURE ENOUGH, my dinner was steaming, my son's dinner steaming but like it was microwave and my wife's dinner COLD as it wax sitting there. Needless to say, I told them to get my wife's dinner hot and fresh. I was so upset, it refused my dinner. WHY would I eat before my wife eat???? A manager cane out to apologize and gave an excuse that the take out was causing the issue. I said it was no excuse as other patrons that came after us got their dinners before us. Has tasty food and good coupons often giving you a free meal by purchasing a meal. Happy hour is good too. They don't offer many vegetarian options but they are knowledgeable about what is vegetarian. They also are accommodating and try to adjust meals to vegetarian when possible. Normally a place doesn't make substitutions for free items but out of respect for me as one they have even made the free items a vegetarian version for me. I very much appreciate this respect. They can get very crowded at times but are accurate about their wait times. All in all for a chain restaurant this is a good chain. read more

Had a great server for my Grandpa's 80th birthday last night. Our waiter was extremely patient with my indecisive family and was very calm even though we took ages to decide on which food to order. It was okay. I was most disappointed with the wonton soup. One lonely wonton floating in a flavorless, weak broth with a piece of radish (or water chestnut?) and what I believe was a spinach leaf. The pork egg rolls were good. The wrapping had an unusual texture. It wasn't good, nor bad, just different. I had the shrimp with honey sauce and white rice. The shrimp were fresh and small, but the portion size was adequate. Service was efficient, not overly friendly, nor surly. Solid three stars. I was extremely disappointed with the covid safety at this location. Last night we had a server who consistently had her nose outside of her mask. She'd occasionally pull it up just before approaching the table but not every time. She was constantly touching her mask and not wearing gloves. It's not hard to wear a mask or to find one that fits properly So it was pretty disappointing to see. Especially frustrating to see her speaking with the host or manager with her face mask completely down and around her chin. She wasn't the only one either. We had a clear view of the kitchen and often saw noses out of masks. I've been to other restaurants during covid and have never seen this be the case. I lost my appetite after noticing how poorly the staff was handling this. I will say she was kind and our food was fine but for her sake and the sake of the restaurant safety I hope this location considers taking this more seriously read more

Super disappointing coming back here, especially since my family have been eating at this restaurant for almost 10 years. We were ignored the entire time until we had to catch a server's attention to get our server. The food is truly disappointing. The sea bass was bland. It used to be flavorful and melts in your mouth but now, it taste like nothing. The magnolia beef was dry. I don't even know how to describe the Asian Mac and cheese because that was disgusting. Chang's used to be a reasonable place for people that never had good Chinese food, but our order out experience last night was disastrous. There were four of us and we planned to start with lettuce wraps, same as if we were sitting in the restaurant. Two basic ingredients, shouldn't be too hard, right? There was a small chunk of lettuce which wouldn't have been enough for four wraps, but that became a moot point. The lettuce had brown spots all over and was completely inedible. As for the sauteed ground chicken that would have gone onto the lettuce, that was burned. That, too was a moot point because I had already lost my appetite from the brown lettuce. The rest of the food was mediocre, at best, except for the fried rice, which wasn't too bad. We called the restaurant and politely (too politely for my taste) complained. They gave us a $40 credit against our $100 bill. While I'm usually willing to give a restaurant a second chance, I'm going to take a hard pass on Chang's. read more

My trips to PF Changs used to be a hit or miss experience. In order to make my experience more hit than miss, I do following things. When I go for dinner, I usually try to get there before 6 pm, especially on weekends, as it can get very crowded later in the evening. I also signed up for their email notifications so I can use their coupons such as bogo entries. They offer a wide variety of entries, but my favorite dishes are: their lettuce wraps for an appetizer, their poke tuna bowl for a sushi lunch, and their surf and turf platter for dinner. I noticed that as long as I come at a slow time, use a coupon, and order one of the dishes I mentioned earlier, I enjoy my visit to PF Cheng. read more
