I'm so mad at myself for not reading the reviews before coming here. I hated this place so much the first time and still decided to give them a second chance. My second time there was even worse. I walked in there, they told me to sit in one of the chairs and that i would have to wait a couple minutes. So, I thought "ok, it'll just be like 5 minutes." THAY HAD ME WAITING FOR OVER 25 MINUTES. My boyfriend was there with me and they had already finish his pedicure and I was still waiting. My water got cold. I should have left at this point. I don't know why I didn't Pedicures are usually $17 and they charge $20. I would not complain about the price if they did a good job but I walked out of there looking as if I had just got a pedicure from a 6 year old. But she sure did charge me full price. So ok I give them another try after months away... I walk in and I see several people/staff not working & on their phones but yet I had to wait 5 minutes to get my eyebrows and manicure started. The manicure was just not good. First things first. Ladies, if you aren't well versed with nail salon terms, don't say yes to whatever is asked of you. Like I did. Walked in around 4 PM just because I saw their name and I thought, "Hhhmm. PI must stand for Philippine Islands." Yeah, I get really stupid whenever I want. I stood by the entrance and about 6 pairs of eyes honed in on me. The owner(?) walked a little towards me and asked, "Full set?" Thinking full set means, all 10 nails on my hands (coz you never know; some people might just want 9 out of 10 fingernails cleaned) I go "Yes, and pedicure too." Off I went, settling my butt on their massage chairs and busy Yelping not even paying attention when they started buffing my nails so they can easily attach the acrylic ones. Ugh. That is how I ended up with those scary looking, long talons that other women absolutely adore. Anyway, 3 stars because I wasn't impressed nor unhappy with the service. The fact that I had to wait 3-4 months for my regular nails to be back to how they were was all my fault. This is an okay place all in all. read more

I work 40+ hours a week have 2 kids and a husband so I cook a lot and clean a lot wash my own car at the car wash and my nails last up to 3 weeks without falling out. Clean place. I went to this salon on Sunday 9/1/13 at 11am. The staff is not friendly, the place is not the cleanest and they are overpriced. When I was called to be seated I thought I did not see them sanitize but wasn't sure. Sure enough after I was done they did not clean the foot bin with any cleanser and called the next person. I even saw the man sign the disinfectant log on the clipboard behind the chair. The selection of nail polish brands are cheap. I payed 30 for a mani and pedi. The nail polish chipped the same day, the massage chair did not work. I am very disappointed in this place and definitely will not be returning ever. read more

Came here for an emergency color change. I picked a dark grey color because it was the only polish that wasn't a cheap brand (this was an Essie). My lady polished my toes ones and put the polish away. I looked down and saw that 4 of my nails had gaps in them where the color was significantly lighter. I had her fix it immediately but come on lady, do your job in the first place!!! And they were super slow. I would have given them 1 star but so far the polish has not chipped off (which is not unusual for your toes). Won't be coming back. read more

The service is always pretty good here. The owner, who is mega prego right now has a great rapport with her customers and is very friendly and efficient. I like the pedicures, but the lady that did my pink and white nails was not as good as my fave guy in Hawthorne. That is just my preference, but I suspect there is someone else that does a good job with nails there, so don't count on my review for the overall nail quality of this salon. Been going to PI nails since they opened in 2005! Same owners and people. Nikki is the best and always does an amazing job! Sometimes I don't get to go as often as I like but I love how her gel manicures will literally last me a month!! And if you're looking for designs, she is always on point with my requests, the pics I show her and even her own she comes up with! I love Nikki!! Gross salon! I came in to get my nails done, a pedicure, and my eyebrows done. Eyebrows went fine but the rest was such a nightmare. Lee did my nails, I asked him to do a manicure first and he refused (ok), I asked him to do my cuticles at least and he refused (really?), telling me they would file down later in the process. This is starting to sound like the most ghetto set of nails I have ever sat for, so he files down the nails and without letting me wash my hands or even brushing my hands off he starts coating the nails. Does it all in 1 coat, you can see huge uneven smears in the nail, and doesn't file the overrun that goes under the tip of the nail. Just paints over this mess, and doesn't even paint the nails entirely, leaving it so bad I had to come back 2 days later to complain to the manager, and all she did was repaint the nails. Worst set of nails I have ever sat for, and most expensive set of nails I have sat for. I will never return to this salon. The "pedicure" was horrible too. Seemed like no effort went into it. Also I am not 100% sure but I don't think they sterilize their tools between customers. read more

My Review Is On The Waxing: This is my go to spot for my Brazilian Wax, I've been coming here at least 2 years now. Molly is my girl; and she's the best at what she does. Shes very professional and makes you feel very comfortable; even with your legs up in the air! Lol Highly recommend it ladies, not just for your man, but for yourself. Go find Molly! DO NOT GO HERE! I went in after a long work week expecting a relaxing manicure and pedicure. First of all, the lady repeatedly asked me if I was going to back cash throughout the service. I probably told her 3-4 times that I was going to pay with my credit card. She also reminded me 3-4 times that there was a $1 charge if you pay by credit card. Secondly, I asked the lady if she can do nail art and I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She said yes. Let me just say she didn't even come close to the simple design I requested. I told her it looked messy and nothing like the picture. She responded, "Ok, no design for you." I asked myself why wasn't she honest from the beginning? Also, the color selection is limited and their nail polishes are old. The lady struggled to open the nail polish. Instead of getting a new polish, she painted my nails with it anyways. The polish did not go on smoothly and she did a terrible job painting my nails. They also chipped the same day. I will never go back! Looking back, I wish I hadn't tipped her. read more

I love this place! Their staff are all so sweet and my to go for full set is Cathy, she has all the patience in the world for some as picky as I am and is so friendly. I love her, I go about every two weeks and right before leaving Whittier (15mins) I give the nail shop a call to make sure Cathy's not out or anything and Molly (The Owner or Manager) lets me know whens a good time to go so I don't have to wait much. Molly and Cathy are wonderful, very business orientated, humble and make you feel so comfortable. Cathy and I talk our little live's away when she's doing my nails. She does an exceptional job, really. I've referred my sister here to for a manicure w/Cathy and she was beyond satisfied. Im telling you guys, these ppl know what they're doing! My go to for my toesies is Two. She Isn't to rough, cleans up, and shapes my toe nails just perfect. What I love most about her is she listens to exactly what you want and doesn't do what she thinks looks best, but if she does suggest something its genuine not pushy. The place is very very clean, has great gel selections and regular polish selections like OPI and Essie. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and always passing by w/smiles and compliments. This is not even a nice nail shop, it's old it needs renovations and the nail polish selection is tiny. Don't waste your time. I think I can safely call this my nail place now. I've been here about 8-10 times and there was only one visit that ended in a total disaster. I believe there's a small fee for using a card or they have an ATM you can withdraw from. They're very good about getting you in even if it's near closing time. My only issue is that despite paying for a "spa" manicure and pedicure they rarely turn the massage chair on for you and it turns into a whole thing if you want to have it turned on. read more

Employees not great under pressure. Practically pushing women out of spa chairs to take the next customer. Sloppy with sanitation. THEY DID NOT CLEAN THE SPA CHAIR. As soon as one person got up they just ran new water for the next pedicure no scrubbing, no soap, no nothing. Judy messed up my gel manicure and then tried to cover her mistakes with top coat. I had to ask her to take everything off and start fresh. Gel polish seems watered down and cheap not name brand. On a good note: I love my eyelash extensions! Molly was quick and detailed. Great service. I was a walk-in on a Saturday and I was helped promptly. Got a fill the nail technician did a wonderful job.

Don't waste your time trying to call for an appointment. The owner will just forget to write your appointment down and then when you get there at 6pm on a Thursday, the guy you wanted will already be gone for the day. Unluckily for myself, she had someone available who could "do it for me". Haha I should have just left when I got annoyed that my appointment wasn't actually made, however it had been 3 weeks and I desperately needed a gel manicure. I didn't get the name of the guy she stuck me with because he didn't really speak, but he proceeded to take over an hour to do my manicure and seemed really annoyed by it the entire time. As of today, 1 day later, my manicure is already starting to come off. Literally paid $30 plus tip for something that's already coming off. Save your time and your money, and go elsewhere. There are plenty of other nail shops around town. Nail shops that don't forget appointments and know how to apply gel so it doesn't lift. Go figure. First time here and I can say I was not impressed. First off I told the lady( I think her name is Sue) that I have an in grown nail problem and asked her if she knew how to do it. She confidently said yes and told me it would be fine. She did NOT know how to take out in grown nails. Instead she poked at my toes with an instrument and then asked me if it felt ok. I told her no and again asked for someone who could it. The main reason I get pedicures is for the simple fact that I get ingrown nails that hurt so bad I can't walk. She again insisted on poking at my toes again and said that was as much as she can do. I was already frustrated and told her it was fine because I felt like she was going to end up cutting me. Whatever already frustrated. Then I had already told her that I wanted a marble design and she told me that someone else would do it because she didn't know how. When it gets time to paint my nails she spends about 10 minutes arguing back and forth with 3 other staff members about how to do the design because everyone else was busy. I ended up telling her not to do it if she didn't know how. In the end someone else did the design but with the look of annoyance. Pedicures are suppose to be relaxing and your feet are suppose to feel better after, instead my toes still hurt, I felt more stressed and frustrated when I left and to top it off they didn't even offer to discount the price when they could obviously see I was not happy. I paid $42 for a pedicure that was not worth it. The only reason they get 1 star is because I can't give 0. read more
