This is definitely my favorite P Terry's location. I've ordered both dine-in and "to go", and, somehow, the burgers and fries are always better at this location. I really like the spacious interior and the friendly helpful staff. I appreciate that it's near several of my doctors' offices, which makes for a convenient and inexpensive place to grab lunch between appointments. The only negative is that it's not closer to home (another P Terry's is). I can't take off stars for that, though. read more

The location is great, and the look of the place is awesome. I like all the windows and cool lights and pretty sphere lamp things and all that jazz. This is the first time I've had a chicken burger where the chicken was ground, not in a chicken breast, and not breaded. That's a good way to mix in all sorts of horrible things without you knowing, eh? But they don't, the chicken tasted great and was juicy. I didn't have to spit anything out/there wasn't any gristle crap (I've had that issue before with breaded chicken sandwiches and I hate it!!!). The patty was a bit small, but again, it was 3 bucks. So glad they've open this location. I like that this has an indoor seating area. I was worried about the parking but I was there the other night at dinnertime and there were plenty of spots to park in. Went back two days later for fries and a drink (those fries are AWESOME) and there was a bit of a line in the drivethrough but they were moving them through quickly. Nice job with the remodel, folks at PT. You took an ugly bank building and turned it into a cool spot to go to. My kids & I hit P. Terry's on our way to gymnastics in a pinch! The service was fast, and my daughter was able to eat their thin house cut potato fries without any gluten issues. My son scarfed down their plain Hamburger and said their wheat bun was really tasty! The grounds are really clean and it had a cool modern 60's feel to the aesthetic. BIG fan of P Terrys!! Most reasonably priced and best quality burgers I've come across in Austin. If it is between P Terry's and In & Out, I would choose P Terry's every time. Their fries are thin and crispy and especially good right out of the frier. They have great veggie burgers and chicken burgers! You can also get a lettuce wrap, but may you be warned, it is hard to find the burger buried under all the lettuce. I have had great customer service experiences at P Terry's. One time they messed up my sister's order and accidentally put cheese on the burger (she is lactose-intolerate). Not only did they re-do her burger for free, but they ALSO gave us another free set of fries (which I got to enjoy because I hadn't ordered anything), AND refunded us for the whole order. I love this place this seriously know how to make a great milkshake. This is like the In-N-out of Austin, but I do not know what will happen when IN-N-OUT comes to town. This P Terry's is always immaculate on the inside and there cheeseburgers happen to be my son's favorite. Something about the cheese they use is irresistible to my 6 year old. He makes sure to scrape every last piece of that cheese from the wrapper. We generally drive thru on nights when our fridge is running low on healthier dinner options. The drive thru at this location is usually quick and efficient, which I like since I tend to have two kids with me fighting with each other in the backseat and just wanting to get home as quickly as possible. For my tastes, I think they make an above average but greasy cheeseburger, so I'll order one when I want to indulge. They sure are tasty, especially when you add grilled jalapeños into the mix. Lately I've been getting their veggie burger which happens to be really really good. Even for us meat lovers. It's made with a bean based patty that's decently filling and well seasoned. Last time we had to drive 30 minutes because they made burgers wrong and there was absolutely no apology or remorse on part of the staff here. I'd recommend staying away from this location and if you dont, checking your order (including unwrapping the burgers) before you drive off. Absurd how bad this location is compared to the others. 5 Stars for being the best hamburger in Westlake. For some reason, we are lacking in cool joints for a quick (fun) meal. I've been by here several afternoons for a shake and fries to tide over the kiddoes. Excellent burger + fries joint with hand-squeezed lemonade. We stopped in on a drive from the airport on our way to a friend's house and this place hit the spot. The burgers and toppings were clearly fresh, as was the lemonade. A cut above your normal fast food place, but not really any slower. Wish we had more places like this in Seattle. read more

So spacious and clean. Usually a short drive thru compared to other P Terry's locations. You can even get breakfast here I was surprised at how much I like their breakfast potatoes. Burgers and fries are solid, and I can also vouch for the veggie burger and the chicken burger. Shakes are great, but I try not to indulge in those very often. Prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly. They never skimp on the napkins or the ketchup when you drive thru, which I do at least once a week. Same P. Terry's quality, in a Westlake location with extensive indoor seating and parking. (Much less competition for space than the Barton Springs location.) I always get my burgers with everything standard, plus pickles and onions, with a lemonade. I never regret doing this. The beef is quality, and the veggie burgers are actually good! Hooray! Do not go through the second lane. We pulled up in the second lane and watched 4 other cars get their food in the first lane and exit before we got our food. Fries are cold and no ketchup in the bag. We had waited so long that we didn't want to have to ask for ketchup and wait again. Get a better system in place. Best chicken burgers in town if you order it right. Here's how I like to order it: chicken burger, no mayo, special sauce on the side, extra pickles, ketchup/mustard, and grilled jalepenos. You must try the grilled jalapenos on your burger the next time you are there. I got it this last weekend without really thinking much of it, just thought I would try it out. Wow. It made a huge difference because they chop it all up into little bits and then spread it over the entire burger so you get a bunch in each bite. Completely changed my opinion of this place...and now that it's super conveniently located, I am definitely coming back for more....that is when the problem below is fixed! P. Terry's gets my 5 star fast food burger rating. Getting a location in Westlake has been great ... well, maybe not so great for my waistline! I always use the drive-thru. They have two lanes, and focus on moving you through fast. P. Terry's uses real Angus beef for their burgers. They aren't big quarter pounders, instead your smaller 1/3 pound patties. I get the double meat with cheese. The sauce is a must ... Add jalapenos if you want a little spice. The jalapenos are always fresh. Fries are just so so ... Honestly, I just get the burger. Whenever I see P Terry's snag a spot on someone's 'Best Burger' list, I have to scratch my head. Not exactly sure what it is some people find irresistible in their burgers, but I've had them on a handful of occasions and never was compelled to drop what I was doing to shout its praises from the rooftop. So I'm going to say it, and you may hate it [and me] or disagree wholeheartedly, but... P Terry's is just average. AV-ER-AGE. The french fries somehow are always just warm-ish, even when you snag a few from the bag while pulling away from the drive-thru. The burger is definitely a step above your standard fast-food burger, but sits just below Mighty Fine on my personal burger barometer. Nothing about it has ever wow-ed me and I wish someone could pinpoint exactly what I'm not appreciating. IMO the unsung hero of P Terry's is [don't throw anything at me] the Chicken Burger. I'll swing through just to grab that sandwich and pair it with a salad back at the office. I always skip the lettuce since it seems to make the bun soggy pretty quickly, sub in a wheat bun, add bacon and jalapenos. It's not too big or greasy, the chicken patty is flavorful and the veggies are fresh. Overall it's a very satisfying alternative to the heavy cheeseburger.
