He buys the best ingredients. I honestly can't ever decide on which empanada to get so I have to get them all. His noodles are so perfectly seasoned that to put sauce on them is shameful. This tiny restaurant was a complete surprise. It's like you're sitting in your grandma's house -charming in a quirky mismatched way. There are only 5 indoor tables. The food was insanely good. Absolutely incredible. Stopped for dinner after reading all the excellent reviews - extremely happy that I did. Had the richest most flavorful tomato sauce I've ever had over perfect al dente spaghetti and the freshest vegetables. Just amazingly delicious! I heard all the other patrons raving about their meals as well. Also, the friendliest staff including the owners - everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. We got a cream corn empanada and the turmeric fettuccine with puttanesca. It was amazing. I'm not usually a fan a cream corn, but it sounded interesting. Boy am I glad we got it. And the puttanesca was the best I've ever had. The pasta was homemade, perfectly al dente, and tasted fantastic. This place is so charming and the food is so good. We just had dinner there tonight and it was excellent! My son and I split the prime rib which came with amazing homemade pesto pasta and salad and my husband and other son order the homemade bolognese pasta. We also had the empanadas for an appetizer and they were a home run!! We finished off the our meals with homemade shortbread that was to die for. Pablo is a gem and the service was fantastic. Was able to grab lunch before leaving town. We had the (3) taco plate and a cubano sandwich. The taco trio were grilled chicken, carnitas & shredded beef. Larger than mini-street tacos and smaller than full size (closer to palm size). All beautiful to look at and completely delicious!! And that cubano - it was more an eight-inch by four-inch plank loaded with roasted pork, thick sliced ham, cheese, pickles & mustard. In 20 years of worldwide comparative sampling of cubanos - this was at the top or very near. Worth the stop alone. Would love to come back & try the dinner samplings. Thank you Pablo & Betsy !!! We live in Sacramento and I planned a stop in Bandon, on our way up to Depoe Bay, OR just to eat at this place I found on Yelp! My GF and I were not disappointed. It was an experience I'll never forget and wherever Pablo is entertaining guests I'll try to find a way to get there. He was serving NY steaks with a chimichurri sauce that night, I said "what else you got?" And he said "that's it!". It was seriously one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Pablo is an absolute gem and the VERY small place is full of friendly, wonderful people. And the wine.....it's awesome too and very reasonably priced. It was so good we went back for breakfast the next morning and had huevos rancheros made with love and deliciousness. I can't wait to get up there again to eat and visit. This place is not a restaurant, it's more like going to someone's house and eating in their kitchen. You're having what he's serving and it's going to be amazing! And I can't end this post without a big shout out to this amazing girl named McKenzie at the table next to us. We just finished our dinner here tonight and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Food was amazing! All the pastas were delicious and beautifully flavored. Noodles were all fresh and homemade. Rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. This will be our " go-to" dinner spot for when we visit Bandon. A must in Bandon. The smells when you walk in the door tell the story while Pablo was trimming herbs. At the last minute they fit a group of ten of us into the patio bubbles (nice protection from wind). All staff were extraordinarily friendly. Then the taste explosions began. The empanadas were perfectly cooked and flavored, even the salad dressing was amazing. Great homemade pasta. But the tops was the perfectly flavored and prepared ribeye with chimichurri. Do not come to Bandon and not eat at Pablo's! The menu reads Mexican, but the Argentinian treatment that Pablo applies to his food elevates the tastes to levels that are deep and sublime. There's no question that he has a passion for cooking that infuses everything on the menu, from the melt-in-your mouth beef carne asada to carefully selected desserts. His homemade wood fired oven stands in the outside courtyard as testimony to the care that he applied to his slow roasted meats, and his insistence on buying organic, locally owned ingredients shines through on items such as pick de gallo and his vegetarian burrito. His menu changes every few days, and it was with regrets that we had to continue on our road trip without returning to sample his housemade fresh pasta dishes or BBQ ribs. We chose Pablo's Corner to eat at because we wanted to try someplace new in Bandon, and we weren't disappointed. It's kind of hard to find I think if you're not looking for it, but it's an adorable little restaurant with super friendly people. Most importantly though, great food. Handmade, organic, and the cook really knows what he's doing. My husband is picky about his steak, and he was wowed!! We were a little late for our reservation. Called ahead and they were fine with the ten minute difference it took us to get there. Immediately greeted and taken care of when we walked in the door. Wish I remembered our waitresses name she had short hair was personable attentive and amazing. Pitcher of ice water was brought and glasses were filled. Wine was brought and poured with just the right amount of conversation. The food is what you would expect from your grandma turned up a notch. Flavors that make you feel like you're home but also played in a way where you feel the extra bit was put in without it feeling to fancy . This is food made by a master without pretentiousness. It's a breath of fresh air in the scene of chefs more concerned about their image than their food. Couldn't quite finish our entree and it was packaged up for us nicely. Had to get dessert to go. (seriously HAD TO you should have seen this cake) German chocolate cake. Also boxed up nice and wow. It was amazing as well. To give a rating you usually have to weigh and balance all the aspects of food, experience, service, personality, ambience etc. When they are all top notch it's never been easier to rate a place 5/5. An incredible and memorable dining experience!!!! Pablo and staff were very friendly, hospitable, and genuine. The food was the best so far on our 3 state road trip!! I don't leave reviews but these guys are truly special. The menu albeit small satisfied every taste bud at the table. Pablo is the real deal. We enjoyed socializing with him as he walked out to his garden to pick fresh herbs for our dinner. Their service and hospitality was something we cherished but the culinary experience was beyond amazing and can only hope to know it again. We aren't new to great food either! While visiting Bandon in business, I found the typically expected places: seafood restaurants and chowder houses. What I didn't expect was Pablo's. The location is a bit challenging, with a very small indoor dining area. However, this evening the skies were clear and the temperatures in the low 70's. Pablo's has a lovely outdoor area with well tended flowers and a relaxing tiered fountain. So the patio it was. Pablo came out to introduce himself. He's from Argentina and is a very talented chef. Pablo changes the menu choices daily based on what the market had to offer. Tonight's choice for me was a ribeye steak accompanied with broiled vine ripened, locally sourced tomato and roasted Mediterranean vegetable medley. The steak was topped with a tasty, not overpowering, chimichurri. We were served warm, roasted garlic bread along with salad tossed with a light vinaigrette and finely shredded Parmesan. Just prior to the steak, a small portion of fresh paprika tagliatelle was served with fresh made pesto. Very good starter! The steak was served a perfect medium rare with just the right amount of crispiness on the edges. The steak wasn't overly trimmed like some restaurants tend to do. A ribeye is not a lean steak. Why try to hide it and, in turn, ruin the flavor? Enjoyed a nice Mendoza region Malbec with the steak and it was the perfect accompaniment. What a lovely little place. When the bill came, it was 15-20% below what I expected it to be. Outstanding meal, Pablo. You can go with the crowd in Bandon or you can be rewarded with an unexpected, unpretentious yet fine-dining experience at Pablo's. read more

Food was overpriced, probably double the expected price, for the portions and quality of food. Service was good. Empanada dough wasn't flakey, and the filling wasn't spectacular. read more
