My wife went to reprogram a key fob and they could not figure out how to make it work for a bmw x5. They then told her she needs to pay $200 for a diagnostic after we purchased a new key for $300. After watching a video on you tube I reprogramed the key fob it was very simple, bottom line they want to rip you off do not use this dealership under any circumstances. read more

I leased my car from another dealership; however, Pacific BMW is the closest for servicing. Within a week of having my car, it indicated that I needed an oil change. Which I found odd considering it was a brand new car. So my husband took my car to the North Hollywood BMW Dealership, and they fed him BS about how my car has more than one issue, and I would have to pay because it would not be under warranty. I mean, how desperate do you have to be to make a sale? Never going there. Good Job, Guy! Thankfully, my husband knows his shi*t :). He just laughed and went to Pacific BMW. That is where he met with Gilbert P. (Service Manager/Advisor). Gilbert took a quick look at the car, told him the complete opposite, mentioned why the service light came on with a reasonable explanation and that he could fix it. Also, he was more than happy to take an overall look at the car to ensure everything was working correctly. My husband appreciated his honesty and told me to make an appt -- the following week. So I made an appointment to take my car in, they mentioned/booked a loaner for me. Which I didn't consider. So thank you for that! Arrived at Service and it was reasonably quick, I checked in, met with my advisor (Gilbert P.), and waited maybe 5 minutes for my loaner. Super easy/fast. I went back today to pick up my car, and I couldn't be happier. One, to have my car again. Two, Gilbert found one of the windshield wiper blades loose and fixed it for me too! ALL UNDER WARRANTY. Lesson learned - Honesty is the best policy. In my opinion, the Service Department has exceptional customer service, patience, and all the men and women who work there are very informative/knowledgable. The worst BMW Dealer I have ever been to. I bought a fully loaded BMW X5 there, but after only 900 miles the problem started. The Service Center is so bad, I came there to fix a problem 3 times and they still could not fix it. The last time I picked up my car, there was a deep scratch on my driver's door. I complained, so the service advisor said that they will fix it since it happened in their lot. The manager was supposed to give me a call for the schedule. Well, after over 2 weeks of avoiding my calls, I finally got a hold of the service advisor and brought in my car for fixing, but I can still see the scratch. Also, somebody drove my car 25 miles without my permission but on the service paper which shows milage in and out, it did not mention that. When I asked my service advisor, he said that the 25 miles is because they had to drive my car to body shop back and forth (?). But this was not the first time that someone from this dealer used my car without my permission. For the very first time when my car was there for a service, my car suddenly had 20 more miles along with some trash inside: a water bottle, an envelop, etc. So, my car still has the same initial problem, and they ruined my car even more. I would give ZERO star if I could. Never Pacific BMW again. read more

I've brought my BMW's to Pacific for service and they fix my car the first time, every time. I say this because I have been dealing with other BMW dealerships that have been not as skilled in terms of mechanics. Gilbert has been my SA and the man deserves a raise Pacific BMW. He goes above and beyond the level of service I've ever experienced at ANY BMW dealership. The mechanics are truly pros too; as I mentioned my cars were fix the first visit. I've never had to return for the same repair. I bought a CPO vehicle from another BMW dealership that I now regret not purchasing from Pacific. I ended saving 2000 dollars by going else where, but I have lost more than that in my personal time trying to get it repaired for the past 3 months. I finally just brought it to Pacific for service and it its was diagnosed properly. Gilbert set my up with his manger Edgar who was nice enough to go on a long test drive with me to find this horrendous vibration. He was able to to identify the problem and got a BMW representative involved. Again, above and beyond. Unfortunately they can't cover it (it being a bad batch of run flats ), and I have to go back to the original dealership and have them pay for it. Not looking forward to that. Thankfully I only keep my BMW's for a few years and I will be getting my next one from Pacific without a doubt. Gary is amazing at his job and he earned my business when I had every BMW lot in the Southern California area trying to earn my business. And he did not do it by underbidding all the others, he did it by being smarter than all the others. I walked in with my own loan already in hand, 4.9 APR, only wanting only to spend X amount of dollars on a 2014 BMW i3. Every other dealer told me it was going to be impossible, I'd have to pay more to get it. Gary is THE ONLY BMW sales rep that saw my loan, and said I could get into a newer car with cheaper payments thanks to a special they were running. I walked off the lot with a 2015 BMW i3 for 1.90 APR and a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. That's not even the end of this story. The next day BMW Financing was starting a new deal o n the electric vehicles, and if I would be willing to fill out one part of my paperwork again, Gary could knock another 1% off my APR. Simply horrible! Went in for maintenance and a diagnostic to get some issues checked. They said they replaced the oil, oil filter and spark plugs. Well guess what I had my mechanic look at the diagnostic report to see what he thought. Well, I find out that these people at Pacific BMW played me for an idiot. They did not change my oil, filter and spark plugs. I was charged over $1200 for this scam. People make sure they show you the replaced parts before you leave. I'll try to make it short. i went in to take a look at a car and absolutely love it. i was able to test drove and checked all the features... this was a pre-owned certified BMW btw. during the conversation with the salesman, i was told that pre-owned certified warranty apply, and that i would get 2 additional years and that maintenance carried over as well (i'm sure he and rest of the team there would disagree with that, but hey i'm just a nobody, right?). so we discussed financing (salesman assured me i would get the best rate because of my credit score) and the price and i agree to buy the car... so i waited about 30 minutes and finally was led to see the finance guy. He started out by going over all the title and registration and state required paperwork...and then a BIG SHOCKER. He told me that the car would only carry 1 additional year warranty since it only has 10k miles on it.......ok. so this is NOT what i was told, but then i thought it was such a new car so i continued on... then, he told me maintenance doesnt carry over and offer to extend that maintenance for additional fee (NOT a small amount). at this point, i had to disagree- and i said i wouldnt want to continue this sale... he asked his director to come in- and we spent like 40 minutes talking about how this is all of maintenance option and that he had to go over with me- while kept ignoring my concern that why i was told one thing and now i have to pay a bulk sum to get the plan that I thought i would get- which the salesman assured me that i would get... finally, the director agreed to offered a discount on the maintenance extension, but i told him that i agree to buy this car under the understanding that i would pay this exact amount (+ tax..title..etc), and now i have to pay extra.... i was really uncomfortable with this and said i can't go through with it as much as i love this car. the director (finance director) then told me he would go talk to the sale manager.. and after 5 minutes he came back and said he couldnt do it... so i walked out.. and none of them try to stop me. at that point, we only had the contract to sign, but the sale blundered because they were misleading me and try to get me to pay extra for something i already thought was included.. i'm not good with that.. also, keep in mind, during my 5 hours at the store, the sale manager NEVER come to see or talk to me. NOT ONCE. I don't even know what he looks like. a big fail. will not visit this store again no matter how good the sale it is. ps. also, the great financing option that i was told that i could get was no different than other BMW dealers (and I told him what rate i get at the other dealers)...so there. read more

I have had the worst dealership experience with Pacific BMW. I own several luxury cars and no dealership has compared to the lack of expertise that Pacific BMW possesses. My car would go in for one thing and then come out with another problem. When I first bought the car the salesman suggested I seal my car with a 3M SEAL. I agreed. It went in for the seal and came out with scratches in several places. Besides not having a car for days for the seal I agreed to have them retake the car and repaint the scratches they caused. Fast-forward a few months and the paint is peeling off the bumper they painted. So, back it goes for another paint job and another 3M SEAL... Low and behold it peels off again and it goes back for another paint and seal job. With all the paint jobs I had to struggle with Pacific BMW to take responsibility of their poorly painted bumper. A few months into purchasing the vehicle the back subwoofer gave out. It went into the dealership. Technicians diagnosed the problem and I was supposed to pay a percentage of the cost. When I picked up the car there were wires hanging from the inside of the trunk. There were parts not assembled and the car was nowhere near ready even though they handed me the keys and had me drive off like that. I called the manager furious with the service I was receiving. Edgar the manager was very disrespectful in every encounter I had with him. He and many other Pacific BMW representatives have spoken to me in a very condescending tone and have never owned up to the many mistakes they have made. An example is them diagnosing a problem and telling me that I have to pay for it even after they acknowledge that it didn't resolve the problem and it was misdiagnosed. I had to take it up with managers to not have to pay for one of my service requests in which this happened... The only person that has been truly helpful at this dealership was the Finance manager Armando and Narek the service advisor. They have tried there best to help alleviate the headache caused by Pacific BMW. Other managers say they will call back when they never do or are merely condescending. I'm exhausted with the effort from my end each and every time I take the car into the dealership. Now my speaker does not work again and they claim it's from a coffee spill into the speakers. I tell them I never dropped any liquid in there and they still point fingers to me and claim that I was responsible for it! Neither the dealership or BMW is taking responsibility for the speakers. They are all pointing fingers and don't want solve this matter! I am currently, seeking legal guidance from a lawyer to address their lack of care and incompetence. I don't know what's going on here today but I cancelled a Dr's appt and my husband rearranged his schedule to come to a lease return inspection appointment and to discuss possibly purchasing the car and maybe getting an SUV for me so we rushed out here to be on time and from the get go, we noticed something was wrong. The front desk wasn't aware of the appt and neither was Bobby who made it. We had to show him the email that he sent and then he went to get a manager to show us the same car he has. That's not what he was supposed to do. He was supposed to be getting the guy ( Aolonzo) to meet with us about the lease while the car was being inspected. I decided to skip looking or test driving anything here and just go elsewhere. They seem like bumbling idiots. Our previous experiences when Greg was here were extremely pleasant/informative/on time and we never felt like we were wasting our time. Today, however, it's the total opposite of everything we're used to. I need an SUV and was gung ho to look at some and maybe driving one home but I won't be spending my money here because of the experience we had today. I'll go to South Bay instead. They claim they're having computer issues but that doesn't justify anything since Bobby saw the email he sent himself but didn't even bother reading it to jog his memory as to why we were here in the first place. Now the inspector, Paul, is asking us if we're here to return the lease today. All this shit for a simple inspection????? So far, 5 people have apologized to us because they can see we're clearly upset, but everyone is still apologizing instead of getting Alonzo or a manager so we can talk to them. They sent Emily out and we still haven't seen Alonzo. This was supposed to be a good productive day with me possibly driving off the lot and trailing my husband home in my new bmw but that won't be happening now. read more

PSA: the n20 and n26 engine timing chain BREAKS and causes ENGINE FAILURE!! We have a 2013 BMW X3 with n20 Engine and we bought the maintenance warranty with it and the dealership never told us about the timing chain problem with this car. We took the car to the dealer several times complaining about the noise in the engine and they told us this is normal with all the new motors. Once we hit 100,000 miles, my wife was taking my daughter to school in the morning and the car shut down on her. We towed the car to the dealer because all the service was done there, and they called us saying they have bad news and the timing chain broke in our car and we're out of warranty, and will cost $15,000 to replace the engine. We still have payments on the car. I called North America BMW Headquarters, and all they gave us was $5000 toward the new engine or a new car, not even waving the money that we still owe. We explained to them that BMW were aware with this problem since 2012 on the engine n20, and they said "oh we don't have a recall but it is preventing maintenance only, and it goes only to 70,000 miles". We are really surprised that a big company like BMW, would never stand behind their product, especially it is a timing chain made from metal, not a timing belt made from rubber. And they still are building this motor and I feel bad for all the people who are buying those cars, because they will get stuck like us, with a big bill. Then, in order for us to pick up our car, they required us to pay $190 diagnostic. All they did was open the oil filling cap, looked inside of it with a FLASHLIGHT, and said "oh, your timing chain is broken and you need another motor". What an easy way of performing a diagnostic! read more

Our salesperson was Yesayi Panossian. He was very professional and knowledgable and got us a great deal on an X5 lease. He did everything he needed to do to earn our trust and ultimately our business. We never felt pressured or pushed to perform. We also met with the manager and worked numbers until we came to an agreement. Car shopping has to be one of the most stressful things to do and Yesayi made it easy. I must have asked a thousand questions and he was patient with me and is still patient with me because I still text him with questions about the car. We even had an issue with one of our tires and I questioned the issue and was granted a replacement tire after some negotiating. I would return to this dealership for another car in an instant. This is the worst BMW dealership I have ever been to. It really makes me not want to drive a BMW anymore. I tried to turn in my lease here and they didn't want to take it. They told me they had no room on the lot but were more than happy to take the car should I buy another BMW from them right then and there. Then they told me they would take it if I had bought the car from them in the first place. So clearly they had room. Not very smart on how they lie to people. I checked BMW policy with corporate and any dealership branded BMW should take the car. Had an appointment to inspect with Lorie. She took me to the sales dept. WHY? And for an hour I had to explain to the guy that I didn't want to buy a car today. Then he says ok and brings someone else in and the first thing this person said is " So I hear you want to buy a car." They didn't want to listen and just sell me a new car. Bad sales tactic. Then when I finally get them to take my no answer, they decide to charge me on every little thing during the return inspection and still not take the car in. Bad service, bad sales skills and bad staff overall. Steer away from here if you want a car or just go to a broker or something. Definitely don't go here to turn in your car. I custom ordered the BMW so I could have the exact configuration I wanted-I recommend this highly to anyone who can wait a few weeks to receive their BMW. Considering that BMWs are generally difficult to maintain, the folks at Pacific BMW were responsive and capable. However, when I took my car to smog check after getting a repair made, the emissions monitors were not reset. I had to do a drive cycle myself to reset the monitors. All BMW service centers should make Standard Procedure to reset monitors. read more

A few email and a air plain flight later we were at the dealership filling out the paper work and on our 500 miles drive back in under 1 hr and 30 min. Finance was great as well!
