Pacific Catch in the Marina reminds me a bit of SoCal or Hawaii spots, except it's more of a sit-down restaurant with higher prices. Overall, it's a solid casual dining option for seafood. We ordered the tacos, fish & chips, California rolls, and the Barramundi Sea Bass. The portion sizes were very generous--so much so that a couple of people in our group couldn't even finish their dishes. The Sea Bass was good, though it could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor punch. The spicy California rolls were the least favorite option at the table; my daughter barely even touched them. The ambiance is great, giving off a solid, beachy, SoCal/Hawaii vibes. It's a nicely decorated space with good indoor and outdoor seating options. To top it off, the staff was friendly, kind, and courteous, and our food came out quickly. It's a dependable, relaxed spot for a seafood meal in the neighborhood!
The space is beautifully decorated with lush greenery, and I especially loved the thoughtful touch of a real Thai Constellation Monstera at the hostess desk. It added a fresh, vibrant feel right when you walk in. I ordered the ahi duo bowl It featured two different preparations of ahi: one with a savory Asian soy flavor and the other with a creamy sriracha mayo. The combination was delicious and gave a nice balance of flavors. The bowl was built on a half salad, half white rice base, and came with generous portions of edamame, a crisp Asian cucumber salad, and seaweed salad. My son went with the kid's fish and chips, which was just as impressive. The fish was lightly breaded and perfectly cooked, not greasy at all. It came with a scoop of vanilla gelato for dessert, which was a sweet highlight. You could actually see the vanilla bean seeds in every bite, and the flavor was rich and authentic.
First time trying this location. The foods didn't taste as fresh as the other locations I've tried. Their sea bass skewers was the best in my opinion from everything we ordered. The grilled salmon was too fishy and it needed more flavor for me. We came at a not so busy time. Parking is hard in this location.
I came here because of the Yelp reviews! I wanted to pick a place near Golden Gate Park where I could have something, fresh, light and healthy! The food did not disappoint whatsoever -- I picked the wild salmon salad & the salmon was one of the best I've ever had! I had to also get the edamame - which I also enjoy as a snack while walking around the Japanese garden nearby. My mom got the side salad (she had indulged too much in the hotel breakfast buffet, but still wanted to pick something from this restaurant). The service was quick, our Server was really nice and helped us pick out our food, and the restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. I would definitely come here again!
Tucked along Chestnut St in the Marina, the ambiance was relaxing with a beachy vibe. Fitting for their fresh and delicious California take on seafood. Family of 4 with an 8 year old and we loved it! Staff were friendly and the spot was very clean. We will be back!
My favorite part is the proportion size. Chicken was perfect size, there was enough rice. Flavor was incredible. Perfect after a 5k run and hot yoga
Was here for a big family gathering a few weeks ago. Unlike in Sunnyvale this time we got some of the signature dishes. They were all excellent and everyone had a good time. This is really one of those places that's kind of good for everything and also good value. Little wonder that our relatives keep coming back and keep organizing gatherings here.
Visited Pacific Catch in the Marina and had a great experience. We ordered the firecracker salmon roll, ahi tuna poke bowl, fish and chips, and edamame for the table--everything was so good and tasted super fresh. Each dish was really enjoyable and well-prepared. The restaurant was pretty empty when we went, which made for a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was super sweet and friendly, which made the visit even better. Would definitely come back!
Being their First Location in San Francisco. Their Newly Renovated expanded Place is Soo great that coming here almost every weekend is just like Coming to my home .. Joe the Manager who we met like long ago is an icon of this Location. Our top favorite to start. Baja Ceviche.. Their Salmon and Burger sandwiches are good too . Congratulations to your expansion. Outside sitting with Heating is an added perks
We were calling by tonight and noticed the new indoor dining area. Yay! We had Saturday happy hour (3-5pm). Beers $6 and tacos $7 and poke Guac. Our server was lovely asking if we needed more chips or anything else. We will return for sure. Happy hour weekdays until 6pm. Dog friendly with dog meals, too!
We love Pac Catch! I've ordered it a handful of times to my desk for dinner and each time it's so good. Go to is the 3 taco platter. All 3 (steak, cod, and shrimp) are good, but my favorite is shrimp. Vibes and service are usually great!

Another great place we stumbled upon while in San Francisco called @pacificcatch at 2027 Chestnut St. on the table Thai Coconut Shrimp Chips & Guacamole 2 Taco Platter (Hot Fish and Salmon) with black beans and sweet potato fries. All of the food items had a good flavor and everything on the menu sounds delicious! I'll definitely be back! Shout out to our awesome waiter, John, who was friendly and offered some great suggestions. read more

Wow wow wow! I love this place. First time here and just fell in love with it! It is very small with gender neutral restrooms, so I can see it being super crowded at some points of their rush. Luckily when I went it was super smooth to go and hang out. Happy hour is from 4-6 Monday through Friday and they have cheaper deals on their food and wine. I definitely recommend their ribs and their ahi tuna poke. It taste so fresh and authentic. read more

Pacific Catch is a tight squeeze but definitely not a disappointment. Nice Marina location so it's pretty close to tons of other shops & eateries. If you're solo or enjoying a couple's experience I suggest grabbing a seat at the bar. Service is fast, super friendly is the food is superb. I tried the Pacific Soft Shell Crab Salad. This is a pretty light dish so if you're hungry opt for it as a starter. Fresh & small, yet filling & delicious. The soft shell crab comes lightly battered & browned and soooo tender to the touch. It pained me to eat the cute little son of a gun; but I had to. ~Christy read more

A must stop when we revisited SF. We walked from Embarcadero over to Marina as a family hike and couldn't have eaten at a more refreshing restaurant. The food, just like last time, was worth every penny. My ahi tuna was perfectly seared. There were plenty of greens and the seaweed salad was a nice touch. Only wish the service was better. We felt rushed in and out and the two servers working the floor were very impersonal. read more

The tacos and elote were pretty good. It wasn't anything special though. The service was not so great. We had to flag someone down to take our order after sitting at the table for a while. I did like the outdoor seating and that you're able to make a payment yourself by scanning the receipt. read more

Quality declines each time I eat here. The most recent visit (about 2 weeks ago), they gave me avocado that was browning. It was so clearly bad. And their signature poke dish was also terrible- the fish cuts were done so poorly that the fish was chewy and inedible. See pics. I reached out to them hoping they would make it right by offering a refund-- no answer. Don't eat here. You can find better food elsewhere. read more

We like Pacific catch cos it has a large seafood menu and almost everything we have eaten here so far, has been unbeatable. The food is fresh, the portions are large, the service is awesome, and they have outdoor seating which means we can take our dogs! Win win win win!! read more

One of my go-to places for a quick lunch or dinner in the Marina. My favorite meal hands down is the salmon bowl. The salmon is so fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend! read more
I ordered a fish bowl and mostly liked it. The chicken was a bit rubbery for me, the veggie's in the bowl were good, not soggy and tasted fresh. I don't go for the fried food much so this was my pick. The hole in the wall was small of course but still had a unique feel and wasn't a downside. There isn't parking but as to be expected for the area. Still has potential to be 5 star if I return later. read more
This place is quaint. There's not much room to sit (or stand actually) so timing is everything is snagging a spot. I didn't have to wait long to snag a seat at the kitchen area and was able to watch them cook while I ate. I ordered the ribs and the salmon. Both were pretty decent and hence my rating of 4. There were some things I would have probably improved, like making the rice less mushy and having the ribs be a bit more tender but overall a solid meal. read more
For our office lunch on Friday, May 6th, we ordered delivery through Caviar. It arrived around 12:30pm. Taco Platter (3 tacos) with a Small salad ($16): *Traditional Baja Taco: Battered fresh crispy catch, tomatillo-avocado salsa, creamy jalapeño sauce, cabbage mix *Chicken Taco: Spice-rubbed grilled chicken breast, avocado, house pico de gallo, lime crema, chipotle aioli *Pacific Steak Taco: Marinated grilled skirt steak, crispy sweet onions, cilantro, cabbage & sriracha aioli Their menu is extensive, but I landed on the tacos. My favorite taco was the chicken taco. It had the best balance. The fish taco flavors were good, but the fish suffered from the transit time as it was soggy. I wanted the fish to be crispy. The steak was my least favorite. The pieces of steak were too big, tough and chewy. Made it really hard to eat. The small salad was fine, though I wish they provided a different dressing. The creamy dressing didn't go with the delicate mixed greens. I can't say much about the atmosphere and service in the restaurant as we got delivery. But their food was just okay. read more
The perfect choice for a casual dinner with utterly delicious "clean" food (think giant zen-like bowls of fresh steamed veggies, healthy proteins and brown rice with light sauces). As others mention, the space is tiny and packed with small tables. This claustrophobic kind of atmosphere may give pause, but go on in because it's worth it. Although sitting at a bar/counter is rarely my choice when dining, this was the only option as the place was understandably packed on a Friday evening. It was all good however, as I was soon rewarded with a glass of red wine and the aforementioned giant bowl of bliss! Vegetarians take note: although the menu is dominated by fish (naturally, considering the name of the restaurant), you can substitute marinated tofu for almost anything. I had a tofu wasabi bowl and like I said, it's perfection! You have an option to allow for 1/2 greens, 1/2 rice instead of mainly rice and this is a great idea because believe me, the amount of rice is generous in the half option. I loved the dollops of pickled ginger, daikon, shredded nori, sprouts avocado and greens because I'm the ultimate clockwise eater. The sesame seeds complimented the entire shebang perfectly and just let me bathe in the accompanying wasabi tamari sauce (our awesome server gave me extra, unprompted, when I mentioned that I'm a sauce fanatic). My G/F dining companion appreciated all the options and they of course brought a G/F soy sauce along with regular. They care here! If I lived close by, I'd order out here on the regular for sure. The ambiance may not be my cup of tea exactly, but the food is just what I'm always looking for when I don't have time to whip up a healthy, satisfying meal. read more

Thanks to Soo S. I was able to experience one of the best fish taco's and poke in town! Her husband dropped us off to find parking couple blocks down from the restaurant. This is a very busy area so parking can get tricky especially on the weekends. The restaurant is very small and fits barely 20 people. There is a dog friendly patio outside but that's limited to 6-8 seating. However, it's worth the wait. The menu is quite interesting where you can order your choice of taco's but still be able to share a bowl of Hawaiian or Korean mixed rice bowl with a side of cilantro and hot sauce. The dishes are very well prepared with fresh ingredients and there's something for all those picky diners. It was hard for me to decide between the sashimi bowl and their famous fish taco's. If I could eat both, I would've ordered those two dishes! Instead I have decided to stick with what they were known for and also couldn't resist after looking at someone else bite into their fish taco. We ordered the poke and fried oysters as our appetizers. It was a perfect start to calm our hungry growling tummies. My three fish tacos came with either the sweet potato fries or the spicy fries. I'm glad to have ordered their sweet potato fries! Everything came out piping hot and very fresh. Too bad LA doesn't have a Pacific Catch. I can understand and feel Michelle T.'s sadness that we both don't live closer to this restaurant! Boo~~ read more

I went to Pacific Catch on a Friday night with a friend. We weren't able to make it here for happy hour but I definitely have heard good things about the happy hour! When we arrived around 6:30pm, it was really busy and packed! The hostess told us it'll take about 15 minutes for a table, the wait was definitely shorter than that. We were seated in a promptly manner. I like the little dish they give you when they serve you your water, it looks like its edamame and little pretzels. Yum! We decided to order the calamari and the mixed catch basket with spicy fries. The server had a good sense of humor and was very nice. He asked if we wanted our calamari as an appetizer and the other dish later. We did, so we were served our calamari first. Food: Calamari - I like the sauce that comes with it. Beware, there is a kick to it! The calamari came out cool/luke warm, which makes me think it wasn't freshly deep fried which is a little disappointing. I think it was well-battered and crispy. I like it, but then again, how can you go wrong with calamari? If you make it wrong, then I am just speechless. Calamari is usually my safety to-go dish. Mixed Catch Basket - So I definitely like the spicy fries. I don't think it's spicy but the cajun taste is distinct. I like dipping in the sweet thai chili sauce. Although I have a bottle of sweet thai chili sauce at home, I still like it. The sauce is nothing special. You go to an asian grocery store and you buy the sweet chili sauce that looks the same color. It is such a tasty sauce though! I like the oysters and shrimp in this dish. For some reason, I wasn't expecting the shrimp to be so coconut-y but it did describe that to me in the menu. The fish was a little dry and a little boring, I wasn't impressed. I think the fries wowed me out of everything in the dish because it was unique. The fried foods were fresh and crispy. No one likes soggy fried foods. Not bad place for fusion seafood, but also it doesn't make me go WOW, I need to come back again. Dear Nazia K.,…
Spicy Fries: SO MEH. Not worth it and didn't like the dip. Hawaiian Poke 3 ways: Not as good, smaller portioned, but more expensive than the poke bowl. Opt for the poke bowls instead. Sea Bass Ceviche: Amazing! Their best ceviche out of all HANDS DOWN, I want to drink all the sauce that it is sitting in. Is that gross? It comes with these delicious purple potato chips. It is a special so unfortunately they don't have it all the time. Tropical Shrimp Tacos: Also their best taco, the only one that is not breaded. BBQ shrimp tacos: No good at all. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! Creme Brulee Spring Rolls: They are surprisingly good and do not have the same skin as a spring roll. They tasted like sweet biscuits which went well with the ice cream and caramel. Yum. Mochi balls: They bring out a couple mochi balls (vanilla and coffee) cut into quarters, with a side of fudge sauce (tastes like Mcdonalds fudge which I have zero problem with). It was unexciting but good nonetheless. Overall I'm giving a 3 because I was extremely disappointed with my shrimp tacos. I ate 1 out of 3 tacos, and it put me down $15. Everything else though was above average or very delicious. Make sure you choose your entrees wisely! read more

Awesome deal during happy hr b/t 3-6pm! You can't beat awesome generous portions of $3 sweet potatoe fries, a la carte tacos, & $6 hawaiian poke & cabo calamari! It was our first time here. We attended the yelp holiday party, and was able to try the awesome poke there. We were dying to check this place out, and having some more of the tuna. Even better, we received coupons for free poke at the yelp event. SCORE!!! The huge chunks of tuna are to die for..and i could have a whole plate to myself. definitely must try here. the place is real small & intimate. service was good. great spot for lunch if you're shopping on chestnut =) read more

This little cute spot has outdoor seating and it's perfect for lunch! Since I'm visiting from OC, my boyfriend and I wanted to have room to try other restaurants so we decided to share. Both mixed platters had a little bit of everything! It was also pretty fulfilling as well! We then also ordered their Korean bbq bowl togo and that was perfect to have for a late meal! If this review was based off solely off of the dessert, then I would give this place 10 stars. I LOVE the dessert here! We had the dulce de leche spring rolls and it was caramelized banana with vanilla ice cream. Soooo good. I swear it's orgasmic. I almost cried tears of happiness after eating it. haha. Back to the main meal, this is a great place to go if you want lots of fried foods or a wasabi bowl. We had the french fries - both sweet potato and spicy fries. I think I liked the spicy fries better... but my friend Jenn swears by the sweet potato fries. I think she must've ate two baskets by herself. haha sorry for calling you out girl. :) The calamari was good. I order that everywhere I go. It's my stable appetizer dish. :) I had the tokyo salmon which was basically fish n'chips but using salmon instead of a white fish. It was ok but seriously, I was on fried food overload. My friend had the ahi poke bowl and that looked more healthier than my basket of fried fish. Anyways I'd come back just to eat the dessert. It really was THAT good. read more

I yelped this location and chose to dine in for lunch with my boyfriend. the location is very small. there's about four tables to the right of the entrance & a few bar seats down the walk way. we opted for the bar seating; for more room & that way we wouldn't hear everyone else's conversation. I had the two taco platter: pacific steak: marinated skirt steak, sriracha aioli, crispy onions, cilantro, cabbage, lime crema can't shrimp: crispy shrimp, cabbage, avocado, pico de gallo, jalapeño tartar, lime crema the steak was well marinated & tasty but the taco as a whole was dry and I found my self reaching for my water cup after every bite. the shrimp taco was delicious though! perfect crunch from the shrimp batter & cabbage. wonderful moisture from the pico de gallo & avocado. the boyfriend had the California style poke: ahi tuna, hand picked crab, citrus aioli, avocado, tobiko, shredded nori. he didn't really like it, hardly ate a quarter of the thing. he also said it was way too salty. our meal was about $31 & I honestly wished we would've kept the money, gone down a building & had tacolicious instead. read more
