Looking for a seafood place outside fisherman's wharf on our visit. So we happened upon pacific catch on the way back from visiting some beaches on the west side of SF. We enjoyed the food here quite a bit. We ordered lobster roll with fries, coconut shrimp with chips and salsa, classic sea bass ceviche, west coast style grilled salmon, and a kids chicken strip meal. Service here was great, staff super friendly and accommodating. My mom wanted to substitute the quinoa-brown rice mixture in her salmon bowl for steamed rice and they happily obliged. The salsa was so good and fresh tasting. Seafood was delectable. We were incredibly happy with our experience. I think only drawback was the limited seating. I visited Pacific Catch and ordered the Ahi Tuna burger and Korean BBQ wings -- both were absolutely delicious! The food here is fantastic. The service appeared to be lacking. There were times when we asked for extra things such as ketchup and were delivered appetizers that didn't belong to our table. The outdoor seating area was right next to the delivery pickup so we frequently heard names being shouted beside us. It got pretty chilly and there wasn't any option for indoor seating or outdoor heaters so we requested some warm water to help us heat up. I'd eaten at Pacific Catch in Corte Madera once. It was a special event. Today I was delighted to discover that this location on Chestnut is just a mile from my workplace! Because I was short on time for lunch, I decided to order a meal for delivery, and I got a colleague to order with me. I was really impressed with the fast turnaround. After ordering, our food took 30-35 minutes to get delivered. Each dish was packaged nicely, and the wonton chips and lettuce leaves were also in a separate paper sleeve. I appreciated how all the packaging used was compostable. The entrees were delicious, and the wonton chips were crunchy and fatty -- just the way I like them! My co-worker and I ordered the following, which amounted to $30: - 1 original poke - 1 salmon poke - 2 orders of rice After tax, tip, and the delivery fee, our total order was just over $40. If this review was based off solely off of the dessert, then I would give this place 10 stars. I LOVE the dessert here! We had the dulce de leche spring rolls and it was caramelized banana with vanilla ice cream. Soooo good. I swear it's orgasmic. I almost cried tears of happiness after eating it. haha. Back to the main meal, this is a great place to go if you want lots of fried foods or a wasabi bowl. We had the french fries - both sweet potato and spicy fries. I think I liked the spicy fries better... but my friend Jenn swears by the sweet potato fries. I think she must've ate two baskets by herself. haha sorry for calling you out girl. :) The calamari was good. I order that everywhere I go. I yelped this location and chose to dine in for lunch with my boyfriend. the location is very small. there's about four tables to the right of the entrance & a few bar seats down the walk way. we opted for the bar seating; for more room & that way we wouldn't hear everyone else's conversation. I had the two taco platter: pacific steak: marinated skirt steak, sriracha aioli, crispy onions, cilantro, cabbage, lime crema can't shrimp: crispy shrimp, cabbage, avocado, pico de gallo, jalapeño tartar, lime crema the steak was well marinated & tasty but the taco as a whole was dry and I found my self reaching for my water cup after every bite. the shrimp taco was delicious though! perfect crunch from the shrimp batter & cabbage. wonderful moisture from the pico de gallo & avocado. the boyfriend had the California style poke: ahi tuna, hand picked crab, citrus aioli, avocado, tobiko, shredded nori. he didn't really like it, hardly ate a quarter of the thing. he also said it was way too salty. our meal was about $31 & I honestly wished we would've kept the money, gone down a building & had tacolicious instead. read more

Really liked the traditional baja and the cabo shrimp! My boyfriend thought the guijillo (??) Shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious. I personally thought the sea bass was a bit too dry for my preference, but the salsa and sauces were helped balance the flavors out. This location is probably the better of all the Pacific Catches, and I highly recommend the steak with greens (the glazed Brussels sprouts are phenomenal and I don't normally like BS) and the ceviche trio. The ceviche trio comes with romaine leaves, cucumber slices, and radish slices as well as bags of chips for you enjoy it with. The yellowtail ceviche is particular deliciously and the shrimp is ok. "Pacific....Catch me at another restaurant" It had been a few years since I last visited Pacific Catch, a place that used to be known for its fresh seafood and tacos. I was surprised to see the restaurant had changed so much. It's now just a poke joint. Although they still have some old favorites, almost every table had at least one poke bowl order. The menu is a bit confusing. There's a poke section in the front and a rice bowl section (that has poke) later in the menu. My partner ordered from the poke section and was asked if they wanted rice, while I ordered from the rice bowl section. [SPOILER ALERT: They just charged us for two rice bowls with poke]. The bowl is a decent size, but you can usually get more toppings at a cheaper price at any other poke place. Overall it's pretty standard, aside from the addition of cilantro to the salad section. Service was so-so. Jeffrey tried to grab my bowl while I was still eating for some reason. He also failed to clarify that we ordered the exact same thing (albeit from two different sections). We were kind of surprised when the order came out. Overall if you want poke, you might as well just go to one of the many places that specialize in it now. Protip: Happy hour varies by location. This one only has happy hour on weekdays, while the inner sunset has one on Saturday too. read more

Decided to venture into the city for a brief respite from SIP orders so picked up the mixed grill for 2 for $59. It consisted of six shrimp, striped bass, salmon and chose sides of the corn on the cob and brussel sprouts Then headed to GG park for a picnic lunch and a bottle of wine. Overall, mediocre. The shrimp was just okay nothing special and although tasty, both the bass and salmon were a bit overcooked. The corn was tasty too but one side was only three, maybe 1.5 inch sections of an ear. Probably the brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal strangely enough. The portions were too small for the price, ended up stopping at Mikey Ds for a snack on the way home lol. We ordered a Japanese Wasabi Bowl with seared tuna and some fish and chips. The food came out and they knew we were waiting but they didn't hand us the food for 15 mins. I thought it was someone else's food so I sat waiting and eventually got up to see my name on the bag. When I opened the fish and chips box, I was shocked to see the plastic cups that contained the sauces melted!! Common knowledge NOT to put plastic into the same box as something that is hot and steaming!! The fish was super bland and the fries were super salty. Stopped by after a hike and heard about the good happy hour deals, but we were a bit early and starving. Between two people, we shared the brussels sprouts with bacon and calamari. The brussels were my favorite, I love calamari, but in small doses; these were decent. I went for the cod taco and shrimp taco with sweet potato fries. My favorite was the shrimp taco, the sweet potato fries were good too, but I was so full halfway through my first taco. The salad bowls looked delicious as well. Such a variety for a small location. Ordered the coconut shrimp, it was terrible. Shrimp was over cooked, rubbery and greasy like the fryer hadn't been cleaned in forever. For $20, it definitely was not worth it. Will not go again. I've never had Hawaiian poke and have always wanted to try it. I instantly decided to come here after seeing its high Yelp reviews and it's conveniently located just blocks from where I am. I came here on a Wednesday night and had to wait 10 minutes. The wait is shorter if you don't have a preference of table/bar seating. The restaurant is small with limited seats. They have an open kitchen where you could see the cooks preparing the dishes. The food didn't meet my expectations. I ordered the sushi-grade ahi salad and substituted it with the Hawaiian poke. The poke was drenched in sauce and was too salty for me. The bowl was huge and they do give a generous portion of fish and vegetables. It's a pretty good deal for a $15 dinner in the city. If I ever come back, I'll have to try out their other dishes and hopefully they won't disappoint. read more

I am most definitely a fan of Pacific Catch! The combination of good eats, great service, and a chill/cozy environment leads to this 5 star review. First off, the food is delicious! My favorite is the wasabi rice bowl w/salmon. There is a lot going on with different textures throughout the dish. The salmon is prepared perfectly and not dry. Cucumbers add a nice crunch in contrast to the creamy salmon. I love the soy wasabi sauce mixed in the rice! The fried oysters are really good too. Our server was super cool! She was super sarcastic but funny. I wish I remembered her names. Being our first time at Pacific Catch, she was really helpful with providing menu suggestions. Just found out Pacific Catch is opening up in the East Bay at the new Persimmon shopping center in Dublin. Can't wait to have one closer to home! read more

I really like Pacific Catch because for the food. A variety of good seafood dishes, from rice bowls, salads, tacos and more. A place I come for some comforting food. This location is a lot smaller than the others but its my favorite. I usually or always get their seared ahi tuna hawaiian bowl. I get it with half brown/white rice and half salad. The bowl comes with something like a slaw, seaweed salad, sliced seaweed, sweet ginger and avocado. YUM! I always add a side of their spicy fries too. It's so good with their spicy mayo dip. Went here for the first time the other day after being intrigued at the menu options. The prices aren't too bad for the food portions they give. We got the trio of tacos ($20) and the lobster roll ($20). The tacos were pretty good and I liked how you can choose from a few different meat options. My favorites were the shrimp and sriracha steak! Also tried the sparkling agave lemonade but I was not a huge fan of it -- it tasted like they forgot to add the sweetener or sugar, quite bitter. The place is covid friendly and our food was ready in 15 minutes. They offer dine in right now but we ate outside and the food was still good although a bit cold by the time we had started eating. The elote corn was amazing. Lisa had the crispy catch with fish, calamari, shrimp with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw. It was all great - she went on and on about the slaw. All of her seafood was fresh and tasty. The dipping sauces are just right. My Thai iced tea hit the spot. I am so glad my friends and I decided to eat here for dinner! The restaurant is small so we did have to wait awhile but it is a gem in the Marina. We ordered an appetizer of their calamari which was delicious and I ordered their fish tacos. My friends had their poke bowls. They were pretty fast and our waiter was very friendly. I was really impressed and I agree with the reviews given on Yelp. I do wish the restaurant was bigger so there wouldn't be as much of a wait but I think it's worth it. I am extremely disappointed in this place. Service was horrible. The food I ordered had a hair in it. I had to order a new dish and my boyfriend didn't even want to eat his plate because he felt bad for having to eat after the fact that I had a hair on my plate and I had to wait. My plate was "compted" but I still had to pay for the new dish that I got. For me the money isn't the issue, the issue is the fact that when I go out to eat I'm also paying for the experience and how the service and atmosphere is. Do not want to come back here again. Ever.
