Solid dim sum option near the Marina with a nice view of the water. They should have higher reviews than these 1-2 stars. As an ABC, there's ample portions and average prices, and service is fine too. Similar ambiance to East Ocean but they have their own parking lot which is easier. The beef ball, beef rice roll, and baked bbq puff were our favorites. They do have an automatic 15% gratuity added to the bill as a FYI.

Came on a Sunday morning for Dim Sum because I saw that they have one of my favorite item, which is the Zhongshan Dumplings, made with fermented bean curd & pork and steamed. I love that as a kid and still do, always look for it when I'm at dim sum, but no one has it. I was delighted when I saw it on the menu. But that quickly went away because the dish had no flavor and thats goes for ALL their dim sum, every dish we had was lacking the authentic flavor. It was blend. Very disappointing. This is what we had - Shumai, Hargow, Beef Cheung Fun, Green Beans with Fish Cakes, Roasted Pork Belly, Golden Egg Yolk Bao, Honey Walnut Prawns, Gai Lan with Osyter Sauce, Beef Meatballs, Chinese Beef Tripes, Black Bean Garlic Pork Ribs & Lastly the very Chewy Fried Calamari's. The service was good and the servers were attentive. They refilled water and tea pretty fast.

Under new ownership! This place is definitely changing for the better and worth a second look! I love the ambiance and the view makes it what it is. The food is fantastic and I especially loved the Peking Duck and the Walnut Shrimp! The beef was very flavorful and the sticky rice was to die for as a nice filler with some meat. The service was great and they check in on you at the perfect rate to make sure your needs are met. We also had the Primitivo and the Mission wines which were a nice pairing with the food. The price is well worth it and if you are here or visiting from out of town! I very much will be coming back again here soon with my partner!

It's been years since I've stepped foot inside this restaurant. I remember their food being really good so decided to stop by for dinner with my family on a Saturday evening. I like that this restaurant is next to the water. The restaurant itself is huge and can accommodate weddings and big events. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday and there were only a few tables occupied. The interior is a bit outdated. We ordered a few dishes but our favorite was the Mongolian Beef and the Marinated Pig Knuckle and Jelly Fish. The jelly fish was fresh and super crunchy. The buns for the Peking Duck did not look presentable and the duck itself had more meat than skin. The Salt & Pepper Pork Chops was not crispy and had a weird taste (not fresh) so it was brought back to the kitchen, and we replaced it with Salt and Pepper Fried Cuttlefish. The fish was a lot better but the batter could have been crispier. The House Special Fried Rice was pretty good and reminded me of a home cooked meal. The dishes could have been hotter when they came out. I'm glad I was able to stop by for dinner since it's been a while. I think their food is pretty authentic, but it just needs some tweaking to make the food taste better.

    Our view from our table

I'm absolutely confused about the bad reviews on this restaurant and definitely do not agree with them. This restaurant's food was amazing! We ordered the scallop and egg fried rice, chicken wings, roasted pig, and duck, and it was all delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection! Our view of the water and boats/yachts from our table was so beautiful and scenic. The staff were extremely fast with our order and were always attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant, it is truly the best Chinese restaurant in Alameda (probably even the entire East Bay).

Dropped by on Sunday evening for dinner service. There was a wedding banquet reception being held that was partitioned off and two large party rooms being occupied. The remaining area had about thirty tables with maybe six tables being occupied. Not many people dropping by besides the large parties. Ordered a variety of dishes to try. Don't recommend ordering the dinner set combos as the portions were significantly smaller and options weren't great to choose from. Combo sets were at the $32/person and picked roast duck, honey walnut prawns, and salt and pepper fish. Set comes with fried prawns, wonton soup, yang chow fried rice and red bean dessert soup. The duck didn't have much meat and seems like it was crisp up with oil being poured over. Salt pepper fish didnt have much flavor and the batter wasn't very crisp. Walnut prawns was standard as the wonton soup and fried rice. The fried shrimp was okay but rather have something else. In addition to the combo set, got the lobster, beef brisket clay pot and steamed oysters. The lobster and beef brisket had good flavor. The oysters didnt have much flavor and wasn't very plump. The food came out quick considering the parties going on. Not all items were eaten together as I had to ask about two remaining dishes. Service was on and off. Some individuals were attentive and at some points we have to wave down. I had dim sum here before and thought it was really good. Had good memories so will return in the future to try again. Parking was pretty tight as night so it might be a reoccurring problem

Waterfront dim sum - taste, fine. Prices are lower than East Ocean. Better options in the area.

I love the dimsum and the view. The salty fish fried rice is really good! Everything tasted good. Staff is nice. Only thing is that the br has a smell lol but hopefully it is gone by now

This is a spot that I haven't been before. We had celebrated a Red Egg party here during lunch. Food was a mix of dim sum and banquet styled food. It was a multi course lunch with banquet styled appetizers, dim sum, and then main course. The quality of everything was very good. Fresh ingredients. Variety of choice was ok, there was nothing that really stood on its own.

I'm shocked by the low rating on Yelp. I came here recently for both dimsum and dinner and had a good experience and enjoyed the food both times. The space is large. For dimsum I had called ahead since I had a big group of 13 folks coming, but I didn't need to as there were plenty of tables available when I showed up on Memorial Day around around 11 am. There is a large parking lot outside with plenty of spots available, and the location is quite good as it's right on the marina. If you come here early, you can snag a table with nice views by the water. Ordering here for dimsum is standard and done via marking on the menu. They have a good selection of basic items as well as some new things I've never seen before, such as daikon/turnip puff. Because there were so many of us, we were able to try a ton of items on the menu and everything was good. The dumplings are all ginormous, though the skin is thicker than I'm used to. Some of my personal favorites were: #6 steamed chicken feet, #48 pork ribs rice noodle roll, #61 fried chives shrimp egg roll, #63 fried shrimp roll. We paid ~$35 per person after ordering a TON of food and having plenty of leftovers, so I think prices here are fair. I came back the same week for Friday dinner with friends. Knowing how big the restaurant was, I didn't bother making reservations and just walked in with no issue. I didn't like the service as much the second time, as multiple servers were aggressively pushing crab on us (said they were giving us a good price at $23/lb). The food was good though. Prices are fair and portions are huge. My favorite was this pan fried rice noodle + beef and mushroom dish I've never seen anywhere else before. Our server recommended it when she told me they were out of fresh ho fun. Also, they gave us complimentary pumpkin sago soup, which I've never had before. It was a bit too sweet but otherwise good!

Just had an amazing dinner at Pacific Lighthouse in Alameda! Eric, the owner, is such a genuinely nice guy , he came over to chat and made us feel like family. His entire staff is equally friendly, attentive, and professional. We sat with a perfect waterfront view , watching the boats go in and out of the harbor while the sun went down was absolutely stunning. The food tonight was fantastic (everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented). Came here with KD and his family and we both left super happy. Highly recommend this place for date night, family dinners, or just a relaxing meal with a view. We'll definitely be back soon! Thank you Eric and team!

If you're looking to have frozen dim sum reheat experience... this is the place to be. Today is the most awful dim sum experience for me. Beautiful view of the yacht club with boats thru the windows, and service was decent... dim sum not good! Steamed Beef Tripe Ginger Sauce - spicy? Never had it done like this ever Durian Puff - my favorite, but this place killed it for me. The skin is so thick and was lukewarm when served... possibly a fried frozen dessert item. Pan-fried chive shrimp dumplings - one of my favorite dim sum item, and this place killed it for me as well... skin is so thick.. the chef needs to master making the skin before stuffing them with filling.. horrible! Pan-fried Salt Cakes - refried Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls - reheated and not made fresh. Skin was dry! Baked Black Sesame Buns - dry and not sweet Fried squids and fried tofu were acceptable. I don't think this place is worth coming again for dim sum... the experience was such a joke for $100+

Free parking near yacht club. A little difficult to find as this first time here. Dine on week day, so not crowded, less noisy, window table view of boats in docking bays. Food was various dim sums, fill out form and they bring them out when cooked. Service was very good with less people in restaurant. Overall, 5 stars. Minus : Difficult to find on Alameda. Plus : Light crowds and less noisy on week day.

The attached parking garage charges $2/every half hour. Granted, this is no where near SF parking rates, it's still an additional fee. Street parking is super hard to find, and the streets are hectic, but you can test your luck (and patience). They use little tokens now that you have to pay for before exiting. Make sure you hold onto it because a lost token will run you $48 for the day rate. 2. The spot is poppin. It's not a complaint, that's a great thing! However it's really small inside so if there's a wait, you do have to line up in a single file line along a divider wall, where you can watch diners eat. Right next to you is the take out line for BBQ orders. It can get really claustrophobic. Tables do move fast as they're quick to bring out food, however you may be asked to just share a table with someone else. They have a couple round tables for the communal dining, or larger groups (up to 8). This is an ideal spot for 2-4 people. 6+ may cause you to wait longer for seating. 3. The tap water tastes kind of weird. They bring you a hot cup of tea too but the herbal taste is a bit too strong for me. 4. The bbq items are just okay :( I did a 3 item bbq combo with rice for about $21. You get a generous portion of meat, rice and a few pieces of steamed Chinese broccoli (gai lan). No sauce to dip or anything, but they do have a black bean sauce on the table to use. The sauce is pretty salty though, so just keep that in mind when you're adding it on. No spicy condiments on the table unfortunately. The duck was decent, but the bbq pork was a bit too lean for me. It wasn't overly sweet though so that was nice. The roast pork wasn't crunchy at all!! For some reason, they thin sliced it, instead of cut it into cubes. I love roast pork for the crunch so this was disappointing. The skin was more chewy than crunchy. All of the meats were tender though! 5. Fresh shrimp rice roll was hot and steamy and the price is cheaper than some dim sum spots ($7.50 for this one i think). However, you also get less shrimp. The sauce poured on was also kinda thin, and not sweet or umami enough. The rice roll itself had a good chew though, silky but a little thick. It holds up well while eating. The proportion go shrimp to rice noodle is waaaay off though. 6. Wonton noodle soup was good! This seemed like the crowd favorite as most everyone ordered this. The noodle could have had a bit more chew to it, but the wontons were bouncy and the broth comforting. You get a couple pieces of chinese broccoli with this too which is nice. The service was efficient and our main server was nice. She spoke english and actually smiled back. They take card payment too, so that's convenient. You really get some bang for your buck here, but I'd probably stick to taking food to go.
