What should have been a simple job for a plumber, turned into a mess. He installed a new Moen Valve and used material strictly forbidden in the Moen instructions. After I had to have a newly finished wall cut open and several visits from another plumber it was determined that not only was the valve installed incorrectly, the tub drain cover was the wrong size allowing water to pool and it was not attached to the lever. There is more, but I think you get the picture. Unless you like living without a bathroom for months on end, hire someone competent to do the job.
