This Place is Garbage, shouldn't be open. Just tried the Shrimp Egg roll last night. Hella Salty and not a good Flavor at all. I asked if they had a Hot and Sour Soup. The did but only with Protein, which is not a problem. When I got it was a problem, the soup was Blonde when is should have been dark color. First, second it tastes like pancake syrup so whomever is making it should quit. It's was Horrible. Don't believe me go and try it out. And this is a Thai restaurant, With no spicy Papaya Thai salad. We've ordered from Pad Thai classic on a hand full of occasions and they've never let us down! We will generally order yellow curry, rice, kung pao veggies, and spring rolls. They don't ask mild, medium, or hot for the spice level like most Thai restaurants. In my experience the curry was at the hot end of mild spicy. The food is fresh and holds up to delivery! Some food is best consumed in person at the restaurant, but this place can go either way. read more

A couple nights ago, my wife really wanted Thai food, and I didn't feel like leaving the house, so I looked around on Postmates to find a new place to try - I'd never heard of this one, but their prices on Postmates were great, and reviews seemed decent, so we went with it. Now, to be fair, the fact that we only received one of the two entrees we ordered, that *could* have been Postmates' fault, it's hard to tell, so I wouldn't ding them for that. However, the fact that it took almost 70 minutes for them to make one pad see ew and one order of crab and cheese wontons, that seems entirely in their control (Postmates tells you how much of the delay is due to pickup/driver delay vs the restaurant still making the order, and it was mostly the latter - our driver even commented how slow they seemed, and how weird it was given that they didn't seem busy). We ordered at 7, and didn't get our one (was supposed to be 2) entree until almost 8:30, so it was kinda too late to have the driver go back and fix it (plus I felt sorry for him, since I don't think postmates pays you any more for that sort of thing, yet another reason to not use postmates, which I don't very often). So we just shared one order and got a refund for the second one from Postmates. Anyway, other than the speed issue, they're... fine. Solid 3 stars, maybe even 3 1/2. The crab wontons were great (not a huge amount of crab, but enough you could justify the extra dollar over the crab-less version), so 6 of them for $7 is reasonable enough. Their Thai tea was also solid, and $3 is pretty standard. The pad see ew was... fine - I've had much better and much worse. The portion size was pretty average (wouldn't complain about it), the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the beef was tender and not gristly, but also didn't have much flavor, nor did the rest of the dish (we sriracha'd it to kingdom come). And my biggest pet peeve, Thai food-wise: American broccoli! Nothing *against* American broccoli, but Chinese broccoli is the king of vegetables, so it drives me crazy when places don't use Chinese broccoli in pad see ew like they're supposed to. They're not the same! read more

First time here. I ordered the beef salad (yum Nuah) to go around lunch time. The guy at the cashier said 10-15 minutes wait. I sat at a table maybe 5-6 minutes and my order was done. The salad was spicy and delicious. Friendly staff. Will come back and try other dishes. read more

Another mediocre Thai restaurant in Long Beach. The menu is varied, offering every Thai classic you could hope to find, plus an impressive selection of salads and vegetarian/vegan options. Prices are low, and portions are large. I placed an order for delivery on Yelp/Grubhub, which arrived in 25 minutes. The Tom Kha (Coconut Vegetable Soup) was just okay. The broth had pleasant savory coconut flavor, with the perfect amount of chili oil. I requested medium spicy, which is usually a wise move in the realm of Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, the weird assortment of slimy vegetables (baby corn, ginger root, and something I couldn't even chew) were so unappetizing that I strained them out and ate the broth by itself. The Pad See Ew with Tofu was below average. The noodles had only a faint dark soy sauce flavor, almost as if they had just run out of the sauce but finished the dish anyway. The fried tofu and broccoli were tasty. The dish overall was edible, but not good, so my boyfriend fixed it by adding black soy sauce, sesame oil, and golden mountain sauce. Fantastic. I hope Pad Thai Classic considers improving some of their recipes. read more

I got delivery of eggrolls, soup & pad see ew. All had good taste. Delivered on time.

Second time here and it's really good. Egg rolls and wontons were crispy. Thai tea is bomb.

We ordered the seafood soup and the mint leaf fried rice. It arrived early despite the rain. The driver was very courteous and nice. The food is excellent! So much flavor and ingredients in the soup. One of the best hot and sour seafood soup in the area for sure. The rice was also very good. Being open later than other Thai restaurants in the area is a huge plus. This place has great service and great food. And not enough customers. We came here about an hour before closing and they sat us. They did tell us some of the dishes are not available but most of the menu. The Pad Thai we ordered was good. Sweet, tangy flavor with fresh peanuts and sprouts. The seafood fried rice was good. The fried fish and stir fried shrimp was good. I wasn't a fan of the squid as it didn't have any flavor. But the rest of the dish was so flavorful that it covered some of the blandness of the squid. The restaurant is in a strip mall and fairly non descript. Plenty of parking though we did run into some bicyclists just hanging out and repairing their bikes in the lot.
