Ham Sandwich on PDQ Honey Oat Latte
    Alyssa C.

A cute Brazilian bakery with very kind staff! Their honey oat latte was soo good and the made to order ham egg and cheese PDQ breakfast sandwich made my morning. They also have limited seating and wi-fi so will definitely come back another weekday morning to work or read! - came back later to do work on a sunday and it was busy around lunchtime, tried vanilla bean latte which was very very sweet but yummy

I ate from here and ordered there cakes and cookies from here. It was all a hit! I tried their coffee and pastries, which were great. I ate in their cute little patio they have in the back. I had a baptism pink cake which was decorated with pink crosses and also pink cross cookies, my guests all loved it! The service is great and they had my order ready for pick up on the day requested. I will be placing another order from them in the future, to be a returning customer!

We love Padoca Bakery! We've used them for my daughter's birthday cake the last two years because she has an egg allergy and both times has been amazing! Not only does the cake still taste good but they look amazing! The service is also amazing. I usually create a customer order and communicate via email with Megan and she is just the best! She was so helpful in giving me some great options to decide from based on what my daughter likes and the amount of kids we were serving. I would recommend this bakery every time. Multiple people have asked where I got the cake from as well.

Padoca is such a cute bakery! The space is bright, has seating in the back, and a local shop corner up front to support other small UES businesses! I ordered a vanilla bean latte, and the PDQ bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The latte was amazing and I absolutely will be coming back for coffee drinks! I think the price for what you get is great. I was a bit underwhelmed at the PDQ bacon egg and cheese though, for almost $12 to only have one egg on the sandwich, it left me feeling hungry after. The breakfast sandwich is about 90% bread and 10% filling - which to be fair it's made with their delicious house PDQ. However, since one PDQ is priced at $3.85, it's surprising that $7.90 is left for one egg, cheese, and a piece and a half of bacon.

I like this place. I've only had this coffee and tried a birthday cake but both were good. The staff is welcoming:)

Incredible birthday cake. My wife had a big 30th bday celebration, so I knew I couldn't screw up. I spent an hour or so scouting the best bakeries the upper east side has to offer and Padoca really stood out to me. They had attractive, simple designs at a great price point. Ordering was a breeze -- I only wish we had clarified what color the decorative writing would be in. Everyone at the party, especially the bday girl, loved the cake. It was chocolatey and moist, also not too sweet. The sprinkles were a great touch too. Ordering again for sure!

Yum! I got a plain PDQ and it was so yummy--tasted fresh and had an amazing contrast of textures. The chewy interior was so satisfying, and I loved the lightly salty cheese flavor. Would definitely get again! Also tried some of my sister's PDQ with ham, egg, and cheese and it was delicious! Would definitely return to this cute shop for more :)

TL; DR: The *sweetest* little smash cake! I stumbled upon this bakery on Instagram and instantly fell in love with their vibe and offerings! My babygirl was turning 1-year-old in less than one week, and although I had a birthday party planned for a few weeks later -- I completely spaced on getting her a little cake to smash at home! Padoca Bakery, to the rescue! I was able to browse their smash cake selections via their super user-friendly website (which is a HUGE DEAL to me as a busy toddler mama of two.) I also loved that there were options for icing color, cake flavor, and cake filling. For such an important occasion, I appreciated being able to have a small say in this aspect, even without being present to place the order in person. Since I live out of delivery range, I scheduled pick-up for baby girl's actual birthday and picked it up without a hitch. The bakery itself is very cute, customer service was top tier, and you can just feel that it's a sweet neighborhood spot. Needless to say, my daughter loved her cake and I even recommended Padoca to a friend (my due date twin!) whose babygirl also turned one a few days later. Thank you Padoca! I'll be back soon :)

Padoca Bakery is a wonderful addition to the Upper east side. As it has been open now for a while I have not been in alot of times. This coffee shop is not jist your typical one. In the front of the store they sell cute decorations for birthdays and have delicious treats. They also have items for dogs. I got a pack of the mini cupcakes as you see in my photos and they were delightful. I also got cute st.patricks day cookie and an Iced Cappuccino which was tasty. This coffee shop/bakery is known for their PDQ Brazilian Cheese bread, which I have not yet had.

Padoca has the biggest scones and I love the Cranberry. I want everything they make truthfully. There's a patio in the back to sit when I eat. It's just a cozy cafe with delicious items. The employees are on the ball as soon as I walk in the door. I always have to stop in when I walk past. Everything is so tempting!! I recommend you visit asap!

They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.

When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

We were a little late for our reservation, and they gave our table away, which was quite annoying. However, the service, hospitality, and food more than made up for it. Someone came over to apologize for the mix up and offered us complimentary white wine while we waited for another table to open up. The wine was delicious! When we were finally seated, we started with some drinks. I got the Speranza, and it was light, fresh, and delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread basket brought to the table, as it's a rarity in nyc these days. We split a burrata amongst the table. Loved the addition of figs. I ordered the rigatoni all'aragosta for my dish, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. There was a decent portion of lobster in the dish, and I couldn't even finish all of it, I was so full. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My friends ordered the bolognese and the fettuccine alla nerano, and they enjoyed their dishes as well! We skipped dessert this time, but I would definitely be back for it. I also want to try the paccheri next time, as well as their coffee shop in the mornings! Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though.
