Aesthetically beautiful! Love the vibe, decor, and service. Friendly staff and efficient. The Pão de queijo was delicious! Here, they are more mochi-like. Cheese in it was delicious, it's a bread that's on the saltier side so expect that if you've never had it. $6.50 for 9 deep fried Pão de queijo pieces (not greasy at all), to me it was worth it. We were informed that everything was made in house. Brazilian Cappuccino was good, it was creamier and more mocha-like. We came here around 2pm and items were running out. So come early! Will be back to try more items!!

Padoca is such a gem! There is nothing quite like walking into a place that instantly hits you with that familiar, cozy padaria paulistana vibe especially when you're far from home. Even with a smaller menu, getting those classic Brazilian flavors right with high quality makes all the difference. It sounds like a perfect spot to cure a bit of nostalgia. The service was really good too

Super cute brand new shop in downtown San Bruno! Excited to try their Brazilian goodies. Bought a variety to try out for savory and sweet. Everything was super yummy and fresh! Place is super clean and very friendly staff. They took their time to describe all the items to me so I knew what I was trying out. I loved the Pão de Queijo and the Coxina, didn't try the sweets yet since my kiddos ate them all. They absolutely loved the sweets: Rosca Húngara- spiraled dough generously filled with butter and coconut, and soaked in a sweet milk syrup Lua de Mel- sweet bread filled with custard and dusted with coconut Sonho- fluffy, sweet dough that is fried like a donut filled with dulce de leche and covered in powdered sugar Enroladinho de Queijo- sweet cheese-filled dough roll Will definitely be back to try out more items!

There was also a red bean/mochi bread that was interesting. I probably wouldn't get this again, but good to try. I'm curious to try the other steamed buns that are $8-9/per container of four. Portuguese egg tarts were $3.75/per which is a little expensive imo. We'll be back some day.

Regular HK-style ones are just okay too, nothing standout. Not cheap either (around $3 each these days?), but I guess you're paying for convenience on the Peninsula. That said, it's not bad at all, and when you're in San Bruno/Millbrae and don't feel like driving into SF Chinatown, this is one of the better local options. Not too many solid Chinese bakeries around here, so it fills the gap without being a total letdown. Best egg tarts are still at Golden Gate Bakery in SF Chinatown--no contest. Theirs have that perfect silky, jiggly custard and buttery crust that makes you want to go back immediately. Suzanne's is fine for a quick fix, but if you can make the trip, skip this and head to GG Bakery instead. Solid neighborhood spot if you're lazy like me and want something nearby, but don't expect it to blow your mind.

However, maybe it's because I waited a couple of days to eat it. Highly recommend transferring to a plate or trey if you're gonna wait as long as I did as some juices seeped out of the bottom corners of the box. My dad loves lemon desserts and he loved this one. He said it's like bread pudding. A very dense one. There's no weird aftertaste that many sugar free desserts or sodas have. I really couldn't tell it was sugar free! Everyone loved it. I opted for pickup instead of delivery since I was heading that way anyway. Parking is tough. I ended up parking in a red zone at the corner a few houses away and got a little worried but I was able to pick it up within 5 minutes without getting a ticket. Whew! Ordered directly from the website and got a text once the order was ready for pickup. The minute Veronica opened the door, a cloud of baked goods hit my nose and I was in heaven. I really had to refrain myself from eating it as soon as I got back to my car. I had to put it in my trunk to avoid temptation. Picked it up on a Friday and had to hide it from myself until Sunday for Father's Day! Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

So sad when the last bite was gone. Wish we had bought two loaves. She bakes them at home. You order online and pickup, or get them delivered if you are within reach. Quite expensive at $20/loaf, but she uses organic ingredients... and those are very heavy loaves. Goes well with beer, even for those who don't like beer. I like the vegan samples and regular loaf equally. Not as into the samples I had of the Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies. They taste quite like normal Chocolate Chip Cookies that I am not into. Comes in a nice box and makes decent gifts.

Yelpers directed us towards this place, and I am grateful for this community for that! We liked it so much, we came back twice in two days! Our first visit, we ordered the Sesame Fans and Chestnut Dream. We also added the Mango Panna Cotta dessert. Both drinks were smooth and nutty and the dessert wasn't too sweet but still really fruity. As we were waiting, we saw all the other waffle desserts that were coming out of the kitchen. We both said we needed to come back for those desserts! On our second visit THE NEXT DAY, we ordered the Mango Sago and the Red Rose drinks. As we had just finished a very large lunch right before this, we just couldn't bring ourselves to order any of the waffle desserts! Again, our drinks were amazing and refreshing. Parking is a bit of a pain as it is strictly street parking... making a visit challenging. Interior has limited seating but at least it's bright and airy!

It's a very tiny spot that's easy to miss, but wow, there are plenty of colorful flowers just outside the front door. We decided to check it out and yes, there's no place to sit inside. Order at the counter for takeout. They have a bit of regular buns as well as pies and other western style buns. They sell whole fruit cakes too. 8-inch round mango cake was $39. Chinese buns prices hovering around $3 were as pricey as the ones found in the South Bay Area/San Jose. Upkeep isn't the best though/more outdated. We purchased a cocktail bun/a mushroom & cheese bun/a ham & cheese/a hot dog bun/and a coconut pineapple bun. The 5-pieces were decent in size, but were stuffed into two paper bags for us which was quite different than what we expected. Buns made the paper bags very oily. We should have asked for a small box or something. They have good selections, but taste is average and doesn't stand out. Whole cakes look tempting though. Cashier needs to smile more. Overall, it's a tiny bakery for convenience. Not bad nor great here. I would look around for better options elsewhere.

Sad to see Morning Wood closed down in Burlingame shortly after we discovered it - very unique…read morebrunch options with a fun Hawaiian flare. Fast forward we stumbled upon Diamond Head General Store -saw the comment that it is related to Morning Wood! Set our GPS and my girls and I were on our way this past Sunday afternoon. SO GLAD WE FOUND THIS PLACE! In a small nondescript building off El Camino Real in San Bruno. Has an authentic vibe as you walk in to the store..the temperature inside also reflected the warmth. 60s outdoors but felt like upper 70s indoors. You walk into a spread of musubi and onigiris on the right side; on the left - shelves of Hawaiian spices, ingredients, snacks, and other specialty items with a row of fridges along the back wall carrying all kinds of Hawaiian and Japanese drinks and other delights. These visual delights lead you right up to the counter. IMPORTANT TO CHECK YOUR HEALTH AT THE DOOR! Not for the faint of heart or those with medical considerations. The dishes are loaded with flavor and that means a generous helping of salt and fried options. What we ordered and shared family style: CRACK fries: we LOOOOVED the CRACK fries - not only the taste but the fries stay uniquely cripsy even after rit cools a bit. 5/5 Moco Loco with Mochiko Chicken: the gravy was requested on the side - glad I opted for this as it was more saltier than I expected; drizzled a fraction of it on the rice for flavor. Generous helping of rice. The HAWAIIAN FIRE WATER (squeez bottle sitting on the table) paired AMAZINGLY with the Mochiko chicken. I enjoyed this pairing more so than the Moco Loco gravy with the rice and eggs. 4/5 CRUNCHY CHILI GARLIC CHICKEN - tasty but boy oh boy is it filling since it's batter held the oil. Comes with a side of MAC salad. A bit too rich for our bellies but no complaints on the taste. 4/5 MEAT JUN - entree available the day we came but don't see it up on the other Yelpers photos. Beef pan fried with a side of soy based dipping sauce. Comes with a side of MAC salad. 4/5 SHAVED ICE - ooh wee! This was a great end to the meal for my girls. They enjoyed the three flavors of mango, guava, ramune - a ring of sweet kazuki beans and a wooden stick of Mochis at the peak of the frozen ice. 5/5 Salmon/Avocado/Eel/Spam Musubi: 10/10 - rice was nicely seasoned and all the flavors just went together so well. Took it for snack later in the day - so very satisfying! Definitely plan to return for the Kayla pork, and try out some other musubis!

Overall: 4/5 Ordered the kalua pork plate and a side of fries. The fries were thick cut seasoned with furikake. Excellent crunch and good flavor but thicker cut fries are just not my preference. Kalua pork was plate was good. Very large portions with a ton of pork. Pork had good flavor and wasn't dry like kalua pork can get sometimes. Cabbage was fine and Mac salad was good, very mayo heavy. A bit too wet for my personal taste. Will definitely come back to try the other plates, and shave ice. Would also love to try their musubis, but they were sold out for the most part by the time we showed up.

For bakery items, go grab a tray and tongs, then head over to the clear plexiglass cabinets and start grabbing all the delicious baked goods that your taste buds desire. I would suggest staring with walking along the cabinets to scout out the items first before grabbing a tray and tongs, otherwise you have the tendency to just keep grabbing items that look good on the first pass and then be up with too much.
